Body panels appear to be straight. There are no paint or rust bubbles anywhere. There is no rust on this vehicle including the undercarriage that's clean and dry. Lots of preventative and regular maintenance work has been done on the vehicle in last 5 years including timing chain, tensioner, rails, plugs, cap, rotor, AC, servo replacement and the list goes on. Service records available. Recently had the AC serviced and fully recharged. AC Conversion has already been changed to 134 and it really blows strong and ICE COLD, something you do not find often on 450's of this age. Motor runs strong and shifts smooth through all gears. If you just think this is a Car you may like, there is more to it. there is a good coverage on Youtube, 'Harry's Garage' I have owned several MB's, amongst a 1969 280SL and 1976 459SL, this car is remarkable. unmarked Body, Accident free, original paint. rear Soft Top replaced last Month [one of the windows got vandalized], Roof section good shape, but there is also the new Roof Section I will include. full service history [original service book ] recent repair receipts. had the Fan Clutch replaced, and Mechanic found the Water Pump bearing questionable, so for the sake of a few hundred $ had the WP and also Radiator replaced. complete new Spark wire harness and plugs last year, just had a fully refurbished Soft Top ECU installed [life time warranty BBA Reman, Tounton MA] it apparently was jump started [absotutely a no-no] while in storage, obviously the Battery run down, I had left a Solar Charger with the Car, but, it was ignored, Battery was dead flat I have owned this MB for the last 3 years, approx. 9000mil over that time, living some part of the year in Australia, and spending some month of the year in the US, [family and Relatives] also Son had employment with a Houston Co. my plan was to take it back to Australia, but importation of SH Vehicles is restricted to Models up to Dec 1988 or earlier. [unless bona fide permanent resident] presently the Tonneau Cover is opening up somewhat slowly, but will be attended to.
