THANK YOU. 1964 Ford Mustang Coupe Pace Car "The Best" -- $75,000.00Introduction Hello, I’m Marc Schiliro the owner of MS CLASSIC CARS,LLC. You might recognize my name or my business name from beautiful classic cars and trucks I’ve listed for sale nationally. I’ve got over 15 years of classic car and truck experience. I’d like to put that experience to work for you. Over the years I’ve featured many classic cars and trucks at multiple different auctions across the United States. I consign multiple classic cars and trucks at all four of the Barrett Jackson auto auctions every year. I’m considered one of the top consignors at Barrett Jackson. I’ve had many classic cars and trucks sell in the top 25 highest sale priced vehicles for each event. They’ve also offered some of my cars as the “Marc Schiliro Collection”. I was fortunate to have Speed TV at my new facility for an interview for Barrett Jackson that aired during the Barrett Jackson auto auction in Palm Beach 2012. I’m a regular consignor at the Mecum auctions as well. I also have had many cars that have been featured in multiple magazines and multiple websites. I specialize in beautiful classic cars and trucks that have what I call “The Pop Factor”. I purchase classic cars and trucks that are finished, I redesign other people’s restorations and have also coordinated restorations from start to finish. I’m currently not doing full restorations as it takes too much time and money. I love what I do and I’m extremely passionate about it! Two years ago I opened a beautiful new facility located in Seekonk, MA. MS CLASSIC CARS is open to the public on Saturdays. We offer about 25 classic cars and trucks for sale. We also offer complete automotive detailing. Our facility is very neat and organized. When you call you deal directly with me. I appreciate the opportunity. We except all trades. If you’d like to be added to our VIP EMAIL BLAST that gets sent to thousands of people when we get a new addition please visit my website and sign up. Please also like us on Facebook for updates. The power of networking is amazing! Market I've been collecting classic cars and trucks for over fifteen years now and have seen a lot happen. I've seen the hobby continue to grow not only at the auctions but also with the amount of television shows, magazines and websites that are related to classic cars in some form or another. I strongly believe the classic car market is a great place to invest in. When the economy is strong, the classic car market is extremely strong. When the economy isn't so strong the classic car market holds its own. I've sold classic cars and trucks in both economic conditions. The reason classic cars make such a great investment is because people are crazy about cars, especially the classics! I've learned it's not just the United States; it’s the entire world. Barrett Jackson stated, "Foreigners can sometimes represent 25% of the registered bidders at one of our auctions." At the Barrett Jackson in Scottsdale, AZ 2011 they stated, "There was a registered bidder from every state in the USA.” I've also learned that no matter the gender or age, all different people appreciate this hobby. Another example would be the Barrett Jackson auto auctions; not only do millions of people watch it live on the Speed Channel but hundreds of thousands of people attend these auctions. Every year the attendance of visitors at the event and number of viewers on T.V. increase. Over the years I've noticed that the extremely detailed classic cars have always commanded a higher price. Even people who don't have any classic car experience can recognize and appreciate attention to detail. Currently the overall market is on the raise once again. Certain classic cars are on the rise and others are on the decline. Typically, the classic cars that are on the rise are the cars that a lot of people don't own. In other words, there are classic cars that haven't saturated the market. The cars that are at every car show and auction and page on the Internet for sale are the ones that aren't changing in value or are slowly on the decline. Of course, if the car is spectacular it will command a higher price as I mentioned. It's all about supply and demand, not a good or bad economy. Custom cars have remained strong because each car is different from the next one. They each have their own character. “I’m putting my money where my mouth is” I’m just a 38 year old blue collar guy who was working full time selling new and used Mercedes Benz. I was selling my classic cars and trucks part time. Although I had my used car dealers license I didn’t have a facility that was open to the public. Overall things were going just fine. However, my dream was to open my own classic car and truck dealership. I decided to give up my full time job with health insurance and a 401K to open a new classic and truck dealership. I had to invest a ton of money to make that happen and now have a lot more overhead. Do you think I would’ve done all that if I didn’t think the classic car and truck market wasn’t going to remain strong? I consign anywhere from three to eight cars at each Barrett Jackson auto auction at no reserve because I know there’s always going to be bidders for classic cars and trucks. Description1964 ½ Ford Mustang Coupe Pace Car WELL- KNOWN AS “INDY” ATTENTION MUSTANG COLLECTORS AND ENTHUSIASTS! THIS IS THE MOST AWARD WINNING 1964 ½ FORD MUSTANG COUPE PACE CAR KNOWN TO EXIST! MCA CONSERVATOR #57. 10 TIME NATIONAL MCA CONCOURS TRAILERED GOLD WINNER! MUSTANG MONTHLY MAGAZINE FEATURED CAR IN JUNE, 2012! CURRENTLY ONLY 113 MUSTANGS HAVE ACHIEVED THE MCA CONSERVATOR AWARD IN HISTORY. TO QUALIFY FOR THIS AWARD THE CAR MUST HAVE 20 POINTS AND THEN WIN THE CONCOURS CLASS. IT’S THE HIGHEST MCA AWARD! THIS MUSTANG WAS MANUFACTURED ON APRIL 14TH, 1964 AT THE DEARBORN ASSEMBLY PLANT IN MICHIGAN. IT’S ONE THE RAREST PRODUCTION MUSTANGS BEING 1 OF NEARLY 200 PACE CAR COUPES MADE! TONS OF DOCUMENTATION IS INCLUDED WITH THE SALE OF THE CAR WHICH IS PICTURED BELOW! TITLED AS A 1964 FORD MUSTANG COUPE! THIS CAR HAS NEVER BEEN ON THE INTERNET FOR SALE SINCE MIKE PURCHASED IT IN 2000 PRIOR TO THE RESTORATION! Less than 200 Car coupes were awarded to Ford dealerships having the most Mustang pre-release orders/sales in early 1964. These Mustangs were presented to the winning dealers by Lee Iacocca in a ceremony held in Dearborn, Michigan in May 1964. These pace Car replicas were painted a brighter shade of “Pace Car White” designated by the code letter “C” on the door data tag which is unique to Pace Car coupes. ALL Pace Car coupes were identically equipped with the following: • Pace Car White paint with decals. • Spinner less wheel covers. • Side view mirrors delete. • Rear backup lights. • White upholstery with blue appointments. No floor mats. • AM radio. • Power steering. • 260 CID, 2BBL engine. • 3 speed cruise-o-matic This Mustang nick named “Indy” was awarded to a dealer in the Los Angeles area DSO 71. Most of its history is unknown. The simple white Mustang was discovered on Ebay fourteen years ago in 2000. The San Francisco area owner was not aware of its status as one of the rarest production Mustangs. Mike Epperson recognized the unique data plate and excitedly purchased the car. The complete story about his find is in the magazine article written by Monthly Monthly and included with the sale of the car! Mike started the extensive restoration in 2003 and completed it in 2006. As the photos below indicate this was a rotisserie restoration with no expense spared. It was truly a labor of love. Mikes wife Joyce says, “the ultimate goal for their Pace Car is the Conservator D’Elegance Cup. Someday, we might make it there”. Well, on 07-18-2010 there goal was met as the car achieved the Conservator award and was given number 57! During the restoration Mike was able to retain most of the original sheet metal. The passenger rear quarter was replaced with factory sheet metal, the floors needed some patch work and the rear deck panel was replaced. The radiator support still had the factory “Pace Car” etching which was painted over in black as it went down the assembly line prior to the exterior paint application. Mike used the same paint to paint over the etching exactly like the factory did. Photos of it before, during and after are pictured below. The body is very nice with great gaps. The hood, doors and trunk open and close nicely! The body was worked, primed and painted the correct “Pace Car White” which looks amazing. The decals and emblems were then applied in all the exact original locations. The front and rear glass was replaced. The side glass is original and in very nice condition. Everything else on the exterior such as the window trim, wipers, door handles, bumpers, grill, lights and bezels were restored or replaced. This car has eyeballs and gets a ton of attention! The exterior is complemented by a brand new correct interior. The white upholstery with blue accents is really a great color combination and matches the exterior color scheme. Everything in the interior is correct. It was all restored or replaced such as the headliner, sun visors, dash pad, dash, gauges, knobs, radio, door panels, handles, seats, seat belts, carpet, etc. Even the shifter handle is correct which is hard to find for a 64 ½ model. There were no floor mats in the Pace Car so that’s the reason there aren’t any currently in the car. The engine compartment is highly detailed and home to the 260 V8 engine. The firewall and inner fenders are very straight unlike many other earlier Mustangs. The engine is believed to be the original as its date coded. The engine was rebuilt prior to Mike purchasing the car and just needed to be cosmetically restored which it was. It starts and runs great. Matte of fact it purrs like a kitten. It’s equipped with all the correct accessories such as the valve covers, air cleaner, generator, power steering system, hoses, clamps, tar top battery, etc. When was the last time you’ve seen an engine compartment this detailed? It’s also believed to have the original date coded C-4 automatic transmission and rear end! The undercarriage is also highly detailed and all factory correct. It has been painted exactly like the factory did it with the right colors and overspray, etc. Everything underneath the car was restored or replaced including such items as the front and rear suspension, braking system, gas tank with fuel lines, etc. This is a car that needs to be displayed with mirrors underneath it at a car show so people can see the attention to detail. Breakdown of the VIN number: • 5: 1965 Model year • F: Dearborn Assembly plant • 07: Coupe • F: 260CI V8 • 113343: Sequence number Breakdown of the original door data tag: • Paint: C - Pace Car White • Trim: 42 – White, blue appointments • Date: 14D – April 14th • DSO: 71 – Los Angeles • Axle: 1 – 3.00:1Trans: 6- C4 3 speed automatic Mike Epperson was fortunate enough to find this car and did a magnificent job restoring it over a three year period. He and his wife Joyce also spent many years showing it across the country accumulating awards. The bottom line is thousands of hours and dollars were spent on this beauty and it shows in the restoration and awards it’s received. “As my website and email address indicates my favorite classic cars are early Ford Mustangs. As my sold page indicates I’ve collected and sold some rare and beautiful Mustangs over the years that have fetched well into the six figure range. I’ve never owned a Mustang with this many MCA awards and Conservator number. This car is the real deal and belongs in the hands of a true collector that wants a piece a Mustang history. Unfortunately there are a lot of fake Pace Car replicas on the market for sale. This car has the original data tag and the original “Pace Car” etching on the front radiator support documenting its authenticity. It’s also been restored by a MCA National Director and has been MCA judged winning 10 Gold MCA awards and given a rare conservator number. This is truly a once in a lifetime opportunity to purchase an extremely special Mustang that will always have a place in automotive history. If you’re a Mustang collector and enthusiast this is must have vehicle based on all the information presented. I would challenge anyone to find a comparable car. Get it before someone else does!” Marc Schiliro – the owner Inspection Report"Unfortunately most classic vehicles that are being advertised for sale by dealers and private parties aren't exactly what's being advertised for sale. This is an industry with no real guidelines and everyone's opinion is completely different. The average consumer doesn’t realize classic vehicles weren’t restored at the factory and are being restored by people in their garages. Everyone’s level of restoration experience is different and it shows in the restoration. An example would be a classic vehicle that's being advertised as an original model with matching numbers could be a phony with a reproduction trim tag and re stamped numbers on the engine block, etc. Another example would be a classic vehicle is being advertised as a full restoration when indeed only a few things have been restored. There are many classic vehicles listed for sale that have cosmetic and mechanical issues with such items as the lights, body hinges, gauges, window components, steering components, upholstery, engine leaks and tuning, radiators, transmission, rear end, brake components and suspension components. The consumers are spending thousands of dollars repairing the classic vehicles they've purchased after the sale. At MS CLASSIC CARS I own the entire inventory and take pride in what I sell. I'm not a consignment dealer who is only looking to make a quick buck on a vehicle that they don't even own. We’ve seen dealers and private parties purchase classic vehicles at auctions and online and immediately list them for sale. They never even touched the vehicle. Even with 15+ years’ experience and having collected and sold over 250 classic vehicles I’ve experienced that ALL the classic vehicles need some attention. Obviously some need more than others but the bottom line is they all need something. I do the best of our ability to purchase quality classic vehicles, prepare them and advertise them honestly. To be clear were not in the restoration business. I collect and sell classic vehicles that have already been restored and do our best to bring them to another level with service and detail work. Unlike many dealers when you call or email to inquire about a classic vehicle you speak directly to me. I purchases all the classic vehicles for MS CLASSIC CARS, follow the service and detail process, write the descriptions, take the photos, advertise them for sale and answers all the calls and emails. I'll personally go over the entire vehicle and tell you everything I knows about it. I'll also give you my personal opinion about the classic vehicle of your choice and decide if it’s truly the right fit for you. If you've read the introduction tab or visited myr website you’ll probably agree I'm a bit of a perfectionist and represent very detailed classic vehicles. MS CLASSIC CARS has a great reputation and we continue to raise the bar in the classic car and truck world. These are older vehicles and aren’t new but were doing our best to make them function, look great and honestly describe them. I sell our classic cars and trucks very quickly because consumers see the value. Once you've committed to purchase a classic vehicle from MS CLASSIC CARS, I'lll make it a very easy process from start to finish. Once the funds have cleared I'll immediately mail the paperwork USPS 2-day air. A CD with the description and photos of the vehicle you purchased will be included in the package. I'll also assist in enclosed door to door transportation. I look forward to working with you. Thank you for the opportunity!
