1953 Mercury Monterey Woody: Since the introduction of Mercury in 1939, Ford had been able to bridge the gap between its namesake and the upscale Lincoln brand quite well. The 1940s proved to be the last full decade of  Woodys, with Ford and Mercury both retiring their planked automobiles in 1951. The inspiration carried on and many companies still offered wood applique for the steel bodies. Mercury even used real wood to outline the applique on their  two-tone wagons through 1953, which proved to be the final year that any Ford product carried any real wood on their exterior! We are very excited to offer this 1953 Mercury Monterey Woody Wagon! Finished in its original 01- India Black exterior with 377 – Turquoise/Black two-tone interior, this Merc is one of five left in the International Mercury Owners  Association registry. This car maintains its original 255ci Flathead V8 and 3-speed manual transmission on the column, and overdrive! Standard features on 1953 Monterey wagons included leatherette faced seats, faux leather headliner,  split folding 60/40 rear seat, wool carpets, chrome interior moldings, two-tone dashboard, black steering wheel, fender skirts, full wheel covers and winged hood ornament. In addition, this car has been treated to a 12V conversion  resulting in brighter headlights and greater starting ability. This car is further equipped with a slick visor, heater, clock, later AM/FM/cassette radio, window visors, stainless door sill plates, day/night mirror, discreet auxiliary  under dash Sunpro water temperature gauge, chrome exhaust tip and full wheel covers wrapped in 7.10 x 15 Firestone Deluxe Champion gum-dipped tires! The data tag indicates that this car was built in the LA plant on May 7th, 1953 and is believed to have been a southern California car for the majority of its life. The car was restored some time ago to a very high standard and is  starting to show a little age but remains very presentable! The paint and chrome both shine very well and the interior has only minor blemishes. The folding rear seats work just as expected, as does the split tailgate. The under hood  presentation is fantastic, with correct 1953 Mercury “EAC” heads and FoMoCo radiator hoses. The motor and transmission do their jobs just as expected and the overdrive is a great help at modern speeds, allowing this car to feasibly  cruise to regional shows and gatherings. The brakes have been fully rebuilt with fresh cylinders, honed drums, new shoes, and lines.  The odometer shows 80,733 miles, which we believe to be original to the chassis but cannot be  certain. The 40,000,000th car built by Ford was a Siren Red 1953 Monterey Convertible and this Mercury represents the last year of real wood and the flathead along with the first year of the Monterey wagon. It is certainly a  collector’s piece for Mercury enthusiasts! As you will see from the photos below, this is an exceptional classic Monterey Woody that can be purchased for only $54,988!  With the ""Buy it Now"" option you can own this beautiful Mercury Monterey now and receive FREE SHIPPING * to your driveway. Not only is shipping free but we will handle all of the shipping arrangements and provide  complete cargo insurance while in transit. Why wait a week just to be out bid at the last second by another bidder? We sell 90% of our cars with the low "Buy it Now" option. This classic Mercury is not a vehicle you are  going to find at your local dealership. Reserve is set just below the "Buy it Now" price. Why wait? If you are local or have your own transportation arrangements, we may  accept a slightly lower offer. * USA - excludes; Alaska, Hawaii, Washington, & Maine. 1948 Mercury Street Rod Coupe: Although the Mercury line of cars had their origins in contemporary Fords, by the post-war years the marque had established its own distinct identity as the stepping stone to Lincoln,  largely through the strong marketing efforts of the J. Walter Thompson advertising agency. For the money, there was nothing else that could beat the corporate flathead V-8 engine, and the Merc has been a hit with the go-fast crowd  ever since.    This all-steel stock-bodied 1948 Mercury 2-door coupe is a real head-turner thanks to its Luminescent Yellow paint job, nose-down stance and classic chromed 15" wheel/baby moon rolling stock. Tweed-style Grey upholstery contributes  a decidedly vintage feel to the Merc’s custom interior, which also incorporates a leather wrapped billet steering wheel on a tilt column, woodgrain dash insert with period-look White-face gauges, custom console with CD player,  air conditioning and “Mercury” embroidery on the backs of the bucket seats. A 400 CI Chevy small block, 700R automatic and Ford rear end supply the power. Additional features include; Power Windows, Power Seats, Tinted Windows, Rear  Vent Windows, Chrome Bumpers and new 215/70R15 Tires (225/70R15 - Rear). As you will see from the photos below, this is an exceptional classic Mercury that can be purchased for only $29,988!  With the ""Buy it Now"" option you can own this beautiful Street Rod now and receive FREE SHIPPING * to your driveway. Not only is shipping free but we will handle all of the shipping arrangements and provide  complete cargo insurance while in transit. 1974 Lincoln Continental Mk IV: Lincoln Continental was a model name for a series of automobiles produced by the Lincoln division of Ford Motor Company from 1939 to 1948 and again from 1956 to 1980 and from 1981 to 2002.  Despite often sharing underpinnings with less-expensive Fords in more recent years, the Lincoln Continental had usually been a distinctively platformed and styled, highly equipped luxury car in the course of its long history. The flagship  Lincoln model during most of its run, the Continental name conveyed special cachet in the product line. For 1970, the Continental received a ground-up redesign for the first time since 1961. Available again as a two-door hardtop and a  four-door pillared hardtop, the Continental borrowed a number of styling cues from both its predecessor and the Continental Mark III. As before, the sides were relatively unadorned with blade-like fenders, but the door handles on  4-doors gave away the biggest change: the distinctive "suicide doors" were replaced by conventional front-hinged doors. Like the Mark III, the Continental now wore hidden headlamps. Unibody construction was replaced by cheaper  body-on-frame construction; on the upside, the old rear leaf springs were replaced by coil springs. An automatic parking brake release, two-way power seats, power front disc brakes (rear drum), headlamp doors closed light, and  adjustable head restraints were standard. Another major change to the Continental lay under the skin; for the first time, it shared a common platform with the full-size Ford LTD and Mercury Marquis. The 1970 model was the first time a  standard Lincoln shared a chassis with the full-sized Fords. The Mercury had increasingly marketed itself as a "poor man's Lincoln" in the late 60s. "In essence, the new Lincoln was to the Ford and Mercury what the General Motors  C-Body offerings (especially the Cadillac) were to the medium priced car lines that employed the B-shell." In mid-model year 1972, Lincoln's long history of distinct engines from its corporate counterparts came to an end as the 460  V8 became available in the Mercury Marquis and Colony Park. To move upmarket from Ford and Mercury, the full-size Lincoln product line gained two nameplates with two popular option packages. In 1970, the Town Car name (dormant  since 1959) was revived; in 1973, a corresponding two-door Town Coupe was introduced. In addition to the base Lincoln Continental, the higher trim level Lincoln Continental Town Car and Town Coupe offered a limousine-style vinyl top  and more standard equipment. Front disc brakes were standard. During its lifecycle, this generation of Continental saw a number of changes. From 1970 to 1974, each model year wore a different grille style. In 1973 and 1974, the  Continental (to comply with federal mandate) was fitted with 5-mph bumpers in the front and rear, respectively. In comparison to the 1970 model, the 5-mph bumpers seen on 1975-1979 models left the Continental 7.5 inches longer.   This highly original 5th generation Continental truly looks as good in person as it does in photos! And driving this beauty is every thing you would expect ...plus a dozen surprise "thumbs-ups" from fellow enthusiasts. This Lincoln  has always been garage kept, retains it's factory originality, has a solid/straight/rust-free body, and has seen less than 62k miles of Texas asphalt since new. The Continental is is 40 years old so you will see the normal light wear on the  seats, interior pieces, etc. All these highlights paired with regular service from its owners result in the beautiful Continental offered here today. Features include; 460 V8 (220hp) Engine, Automatic, Power Steering, Power Brakes,  Power Windows/Locks, Power/Leather Seats, Factory AM/FM/8 Track Radio, Power Antenna, Factory A/C, Chrome Grill/Mirrors/Bumpers, Service Manuals, Cartier Clock, Tinted Glass, Spare Tire w/ Cover, Original Tire Tools, Factory 15" Wheels, and  Thick 235/75R15 Tires. Everything on the cars works as it should and it is a pleasure to drive. If there is any doubt about the upward direction these Lincoln values are going, we ask you please note that all current collector guides list this Continental are all about double our asking price. If you want  the easy route ...NADA ($24,900), KBB ($23,600), and Hagerty ($20,300). As you will see in the photos below, this is an exceptional classic Continental Mk IV that can be purchased for only $14,988!  With the ""Buy it Now"" option you can own this beautiful Lincoln Continental now and receive FREE SHIPPING * to your driveway. 1979 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am: The Pontiac Firebird is an outstanding vehicle built by the Pontiac division of General Motors between 1967 and 2002. The Firebird was introduced the same year as the automaker's platform-sharing model, the Chevrolet Camaro. This coincided with the release of the 1967 Mercury Cougar, which shared its platform with another pony car, the Ford Mustang. The second generation debut for the 1970 model year was delayed until February 26, 1970, because of tooling and engineering problems; thus, its popular designation as a 1970½ model, while leftover 1969s were listed in early Pontiac literature without a model-year identification. In 1979 the Firebird was re-designed with new graphics and a front nose with quad rectangular headlamps that stood in separate bezels with a new grille below them. The rear end also got a make-over and featured blackout panels that disguised the taillights on Formula and Trans Am models. The iconic stylings that Pontiac created are still just as popular today as they were when originally designed over 47 years ago.   This exceptional Firebird Trans Am maintains impeccable cosmetics and is amazingly original with only 35k miles and its unrestored factory Starlight Black paint. The Camel Tan interior is as equally immaculate and retains a "showroom new" appearance with the original factory display pieces.  Documentation includes a copy of the original title, owners manual, and warranty information. Also included is the original window sticker that verifies that this Trans Am shows exactly as it did when it rolled off the assembley line 35 years ago. Additional options and highlights include; 403 V8 (6.6L) Engine, 4bbl Carb, Automatic w/ Console Shifter, WS6 Special Performance Package, Power Steering, 4 Wheel Power Disc Brakes, Factory A/C,  Center Console Storage, Rubber Floor Mats, Owners Manual, Rear Defrost, Rear Spoiler, Soft-Ray Tinted Glass, Tire Tools, Space-Saver Spare, 15" Honeycomb Factory Wheels, and New BF Goodrich Radial Tires! If strong future collectability and "pleasure to drive" are on your pre-purchase checklist, this unrestored, highly original, low mileage, well maintained, and documented Firebird is the collector's piece you are looking for.  As you will see from the photos below, this is an exceptional classic Pontiac that can be purchased for only $39,988!  With the ""Buy it Now"" option you can own this beautiful Firebird now and receive FREE SHIPPING* to your driveway. Not only is shipping free but we will handle all of the shipping arrangements and provide  complete cargo insurance while in transit. Why wait a week just to be out bid at the last second by another bidder? We sell 90% of our cars with the low "Buy it Now" option. This classic Pontiac is not a vehicle you are  going to find at your local dealership. Reserve is set just below the "Buy it Now" price. Why wait? "Buy it Now" and get your new Pontiac Firebird Trans Am home safe and hassle free! 1971 Pontiac Firebird Esprit: The Pontiac Firebird is an outstanding vehicle built by the Pontiac division of General Motors between 1967 and 2002. The Firebird was introduced the same year as the automaker's platform-sharing model, the Chevrolet Camaro. This coincided with the release of the 1967 Mercury Cougar, which shared its platform with another pony car, the Ford Mustang. In the Firebirds second generation, the "Coke bottle" styling was replaced with a more "swoopy" body style, with the top of the rear window line going almost straight down to the lip of the trunk lid—a look that was to epitomize F-body styling for the longest period during the Firebird's lifetime. The new design was initially characterized with a large C-pillar, until 1975 when the rear window was enlarged. The iconic stylings that Pontiac created are still just as popular today as they were when designed over 47 years ago.   This exceptional Firebird Esprit maintained a singular ownership until 2005 and is amazingly original with only 31k miles and 90% of its factory Nordic Silver paint.  The Black Cordova top accentuates the Pontiac nicely and is still in excellent condition. Additional options highlights include; 350 V8 Engine (225 hp), 2bbl Carb, Automatic w/ Console Shifter, Power Steering & Brakes, Factory A/C,  Center Console Storage, AM/FM Stereo*, Electric Clock, Cloth Floor Mats, Owners Manual, Tinted Glass, Ugraded Exhaust, Tire Tools, Full Spare (bias ply), 14" Factory Wheels, and Thick Cooper Cobra Radial Tires! If strong future collectability and "pleasure to drive" are on your pre-purchase checklist, this unrestored, highly original, low mileage, well maintained, and PHS documented Firebird is the rare find you are looking for.  As you will see from the video and photos below, this is an exceptional classic Pontiac that can be purchased for only $20,988!  * The original radio is also available. With the ""Buy it Now"" option you can own this beautiful Firebird now and receive FREE SHIPPING * to your driveway.
