For sale is a 2003 Mercury Grand Marquis GS. Both interior and exterior are in good shape but do have some wear and tear. The car needs front brake pads; the pads are being included with the car. The photos included with this auction show two front hubcaps missing; however, we do have four hubcaps for the car. We had not put them back on after attempting to replace the brakes ourselves. Also, the front driver side window very recently stopped working and the spare tire is currently on the car. It is a full sized spare that was put on a few months ago when we had a flat; we did not repair the tire and the rim and tire are in the trunk. The car is an 8 cylinder and runs great. We have owned this car for five years and my father owned it previously. We are the third owners. This car has been our most reliable car the entire time we have owned it. We are selling it because we recently were given a car and don't need this one anymore. Please note that the car is being sold as-is and you will need to arrange for pick up and/or shipping.

The mercury Eight was the first model of the ford Motor Company\'s Mercury marque and was produced from the 1939 through the 1951 model years. It was the only model offered by Mercury until the marque starting producing multiple series in the 1952 model year, at which point it was dropped as a model designation. MotoeXotica Classic cars is pleased to present this beautiful, original style 1951 Mercury Coupe with a built powerhouse under the hood and upgraded with AC! It is becoming more and more difficult to find a Mercury Coupe in this original, uncut condition in the present day! Finished in black, the paint is in excellent condition, showing only very minor imperfections. The body is solid along the beautiful lines that make this Mercury coupe. The chrome is in excellent condition and still has an incredible shine. There are twin spotlights on either side of the coupe as well. It appears as if this Coupe has benefitted from a recent, very mild restoration that shows just as well as it did new in 1951! Inside, you will find that the interior is in excellent original shape! The previous owner states that the interior is, in fact, the original interior. The seats are wrapped in tan cloth and show no signs of wear or imperfection. The brown carpet compliments the seats and looks just as great! The dash appears to be the original dash, housing the original gauges. Aftermarket Oil Pressure %26 Temperature gauges have been added to the bottom of the dash to monitor the engine closely. There is also an AM radio %26 clock. Under the hood, you will see that this is not your everyday \'51 Mercury... the 255 cubic inch Flathead V8 has been tastefully modified and dressed up in chrome! The engine bay is clean and eye catching. The 255 has been bored .0060 over to a 274 cubic inch engine. Not a single thing was overlooked under the hood. The engine build includes Ertel 4 ring cast aluminum pistons, balanced Scat H-Beam rods, balanced crankshaft with a 4\" stroke, 3/4 camshaft, Paul Samarin aluminum Big Boy cylinder heads, Vertex magneto, Look distributor, Edelbrock aluminum intake, 450 cfm Holley carburetor, ARC air cleaner, Power Master XS starter, Fenton cast headers, March serpentine belts, Vintage Air %26 Heat and finally, it has been converted to a 12 volt system. The headers can be dumped right behind the front wheels through KKOA dumps - which sound awesome. Attached to the V8 is a Three on the Tree manual transmission. The car sits elegantly upon a set of 15\" wheels wrapped in P235/75R15 Goodyear white walls. This handsome coupe won\'t last long with its good looks and sleeper performance! The VIN is 51DA53028M and the mileage currently shows 50,626. It is being sold on a clean and clear missouri title. GET OUT AND DRIVE!!! Ad provided by OldCarOnline.com/cond>

Many consider the 1949 through 1951 mercury\'s as some of the best looking and driving cars of all time. For this reason, they are the some of the most popular cars on the market today for customizing, chopping, lowering and hot rodding. The advertisements for this car declared it to be \"The car that truly dares to ask \'Why?\'\", referring to the idea that a big car couldn\'t also be economical. The Mercury was priced in the thousand dollar range, several hundred dollars more than the ford V-8, several hundred less than the Lincoln-Zephyr and about the same as the upper range Oldsmobile and Dodges and the lower-range Buicks and Chryslers, sales from all of which, it was hoped, the new Mercury would usurp. MotoeXotica Classic Cars is pleased to offer the handsome, original and uncut 1949 Mercury Coupe you see pictured. This particular car has benefitted from a complete frame off restoration and a 12 volt conversion - and it looks fantastic! The previous owner purchased the car in 2005 and spent 3 years in the restoration process. Great job on a solid car! Finished in a deep burgundy, the paint is in great shape and only shows minor imperfections such as very minor rock chips. The body is straight as an arrow and solid. The chrome has been re-chromed and it looks great with a brilliant shine. The front hood ornament and door handles do show some pitting, however, are still very usable! Overall this Mercury is clean and shows extremely well. Inside, the interior has been completely reupholstered and finished in gray tweed which looks excellent. The front and rear seats show no sign of wear or tear. The door panels are finished in the gray tweed with complimenting gray vinyl. The headliner is also finished in gray vinyl and it looks great. The burgundy carpet is in great shape as well. The dashboard looks excellent and houses a set of aftermarket white faced Auto Meter gauges and a Pioneer AM/FM/CD/USB/Aux head unit. Under the hood, you\'ll find a completely overhauled Mercury Flathead V8 attached to a 3-speed manual transmission, complete with overdrive. The engine bay is tidy and clean. As mentioned before, it has been converted to 12 volt for reliability and functionality purposes. The car sits upon a set of 15\" color matched steel wheels with 1951 Mercury hubcaps wrapped in G78-15 white wall tires. The wipers have been converted to electric. This Mercury would make an excellent addition to any collection or as a great Sunday driver. Included with the purchase of the car is a large stack of receipts kept neatly in an envelope. The VIN is 9CM110854 and the mileage currently shows 1,344. It is being sold on a clean and clear illinois title. GET OUT AND DRIVE!!! Ad provided by OldCarOnline.com/cond>

In 1937, Edsel Ford started a new company, more luxurious version of his company\'s mainline car, intended to bridge the enormous price gap between the highest trimmed Ford and the base Lincoln. The designs of the new car were done by E.T. \'Bob\' Gregorie. There was debate within the company if this new intermediate car should be a new Ford model or spun-off into a new marque. Over 100 different model and marque names were considered before \"Mercury\" was finally selected. MotoeXotica Classic Cars is pleased to present the handsome 1947 Mercury Sedan you see pictured. This particular car is an older restoration out of the wonderfully dry state of Arizona. The V8 sedan has a few modern day comforts making this an excellent Sunday cruiser! Finished in black, the paint is in great condition with only a few minor imperfections. The body is solid along the beautiful lines that make the \'47 Mercury the classic that it is. The chrome looks great, showing only a few minor imperfections. The car has benefitted from an older restoration that has really given the 66 year old car a better outlook! This Mercury really shows well. Inside, you will find that the gray vinyl is in great shape. The entire interior appears to have been reupholstered back when the body received its restoration. Everything shows well, including the seats, carpet and door panels. The headliner does have some subtle sag but that is typical of a 66 year old car. The dash looks to be original, is in beautiful condition and has had aftermarket gauges added in addition to the original gauges. This is a very airy feeling car as there are a lot of windows, so the car feels large on the inside. An added perk to the car is that it is equipped with cruise control and air conditioning! Under the hood, you will find a swapped 327 SBC, complete with a Holley 4 barrel carburetor, HEI ignition, Ram Horn exhaust manifolds into true duals and an electric fuel pump. Attached to the 327 is a Powerglide transmission. This four door sedan sits upon a set of polished, original style Mercury wheels wrapped in beautiful white wall tires. There are four wheel drum brakes all the way around. There are also aftermarket ladder bars beneath the car to prevent rear wheel hop. The VIN is 799A1715486 and the mileage currently shows 33,239. From its very inception in 1937, Henry Ford denied that the Mercury even existed. His only contribution to the marquee was in finally allowing Edsel Ford to go ahead with it. The reason for the car was obvious enough: to put something into the gnawing $500 gap between the Ford DeLuxe and the Lincoln-Zephyr. The original 1939 Mercury debuted on November 5,1938, and shared Ford\'s antiquated transverse-spring suspension. However, the first Mercury frame wasn\'t quite the same as a Ford\'s because it was made more rigid and carried a four-inch-longer wheel-base. The engine was pure Ford flathead V-8, bored out from 221 cubic inches to 239.4 to develop an additional 10 horsepower. However, the body was unique, sharing no panels with Ford, although design-wise the two were clearly related. Also unique to Mercury was the narrow B-pillared Club Coupe, arguably the forerunner of the hardtop body style. While Edsel wanted to tie Mercury closely to Ford, design head E.T. \"Bob\" Gregorie and others in Ford styling wanted to set it apart. The Indians ultimately won out over the chief, at least for the first two model years. This \'39 Mercury has benefitted from an older restoration but has only had a very limited amount of miles put on it since. The car comes from the same owner that\'s had it since March of 1972! Finished in its original color of dark blue, the car is striking inside and out. The interior was been completely reupholstered in its original color and style of fabric and is nearly perfect. The original shade of blue on the car looks great and shows no major imperfections. The all steel body is very straight and solid with no bubbling or rot to be found. Both front and rear steel bumpers look great with no damage. The same goes for the stainless trim surrounding the car. Inside, the interior has been completely reupholstered in the correct material and color. The seats, carpet, headliner and door panels all look great with no wear showing with the exception of some minor staining to the carpet. The dash has been repainted and looks very good. All gauges are in good working order with the exception of the clock. The flat head V8 under the hood looks great and is in nice, original condition, looking just like it did when it left the factory. With a push of the button, the car starts up with no problems and goes down the road with plenty of power. The three speed manual transmission on the floor shifts as it should. We recently put about 15 miles on the car in stop and go traffic with no issues. In the trunk, you will find an original, full size, bias ply spare along with gray carpeting. The trunk looks very period correct. The body matching wheels look great and are covered with beauty rings and Mercury hubcaps. They are all wrapped with new, bias ply, wide white tires. Current mileage shows 72,132 and the VIN number is 99A44731. Ad provided by OldCarOnline.com/cond>

- Beautiful Blue %26amp; White Convertible!- Incredible Two Tone Interior!- 351ci V8!- Automatic Transmission!Mercury Cougar is the name applied to a diverse series of automobiles sold by the Mercury division of Ford Motor Company from 1967 to 2002. As was common with Mercury vehicles, the Cougar shared basic platforms with Ford models. Originally, this was the Mustang, later the Thunderbird, and the last a version of the Contour. The Cougar was important to Mercury\'s image for many years, and advertising often identified its dealers as being \"at the sign of the cat.\" Female models holding big cats on leashes were used on Cougar ads in the early 1970s.MotoeXotica Classic Cars is pleased to offer the handsome 1972 Mercury Cougar XR7 Convertible. The \'72 Cougar XR-7 you see today is said to be a 93,931 original mile car that is finished in the original color combination of Bright Blue Metallic with White/Blue interior. The paint looks very good and shows no major spots of imperfections, just a few minor spots of touch up. The power white convertible top is equally as nice with no staining, rips or tears to the vinyl. The rear window is glass.Inside, the White/ Blue vinyl interior is the original for the car and in great condition. The carpet appears to have been replaced recently and is in great condition. The dash, door panels, arm rest and wood grain trim are all equally as nice with on major wear showing.Under the hood, the 351 cubic inch V8 runs great and starts with a turn of the key. The motor is said to be the original for the car and still retains its original 2 barrel carburetor, power steering, power disc brakes and air conditioning. The air conditioning is currently inoperable but it appears to only be in need of a charge. The engine is nicely detailed and very original. No damage to be found. The motor is connected to the three speed automatic transmission which shifts smoothly and performs with no problems.Under the car is very solid with no rot that we have seen. It appears to be all original metal under this original southern car. The VIN is 2F94H517485 and the mileage currently shows 93,931, which is believed to be original for the car. Over 100 different model and marque names were considered before \"Mercury\" was finally selected.MotoeXotica Classic Cars is pleased to present the handsome 1947 Mercury Sedan you see pictured. This particular car is an older restoration out of the wonderfully dry state of Arizona. The V8 sedan has a few modern day comforts making this an excellent Sunday cruiser!Finished in black, the paint is in great condition with only a few minor imperfections. The body is solid along the beautiful lines that make the \'47 Mercury the classic that it is. The chrome looks great, showing only a few minor imperfections. The car has benefited from an older restoration that has really given the 66 year old car a better outlook! This Mercury really shows well.Inside, you will find that the gray vinyl is in great shape. An added perk to the car is that it is equipped with cruise control and air conditioning!Under the hood, you will find a swapped 327 SBC, complete with a Holley 4 barrel carburetor, HEI ignition, Ram Horn exhaust manifolds into true duals and an electric fuel pump.
