1955 MG TF-1500 I think the MG TF 1500 is the most beautiful MG ever made and I sincerely believe my "TF-1500" is the best of the best and most beautiful of them all! If you don't think so, please take another look at the photographs. I see that other cars (dealers?) are much more expensive than mine (see price comps below) but I'll put my car next to theirs any day of the week. Although not in her original color, in her MG Red paintwork she looks absolutely fabulous. This paintwork must have involved taking the "Body Off" completely as both under the Car, under the Dashboard and under the Hood are the same MG red. My Car also has "NUMBERS MATCHING" as confirmed by British Motor Industries Heritage Trust Certificate number 2014/1581 (please see photo). The MG TF’s were manufactured between July 13th, 1954 and April 4th, 1955 with Body Numbers TF-6501 – TF-10100, a 14 month production run of 3,600 cars. It’s pretty obvious when looking at my Car, that a Very Extensive Restoration has been carried out as evidenced by the Car's really good condition and which the photos ably confirm. The indicated mileage is 1,927 which I believe to be the mileage covered since the restoration. While I have no real reason to disbelieve it, I can't substantiate it either. The car’s original color was Almond Green with a Green Interior. A previous owner had the sense to change it to MG Red and the paintwork is in exceptional condition save for the very few stone chips, etc., (there are no dents) that unavoidably come with use. The interior was also changed to Factory Matching, Red Leather with White Piping which also shows beautifully and is also in excellent condition. The TF came into being when sales of the TD slumped with the introduction of the faster, more modern-looking and similarly priced Triumph TR2. Morris Garages, makers of MG cars, merged with the Nuffield Organization to form the British Motor Corporation (B.M.C.). Considerable funding had just gone into the newly introduced Austin-Healey and, although designs for the MG-A existed, there was a shortage of liquid capital with which to put it into production. As a cost-efficient alternative, in 1953, the TF was introduced. Among the many changes; it had a sleeker Nose and a more graceful Tail. The Radiator was sloped back and the Hood-line inclined downwards to meet it. The Headlights were partially faired-in and the front Fender profile was modified. At the rear, the exposed Fuel Tank and Spare Wheel Carrier were made more rakish with the rear Fenders sporting a shapelier flare to match. Overall, the TF was 3.5 inches longer, an inch wider and half an inch lower. Individual, adjustable Seats replaced the previous Bench Seat and there was a new, centrally located Instrument Panel featuring the now famous and handsome, MG Octagonal Gauges. It was initially well received but times had moved on. Production ceased in mid 1955 with B.M.C. needing to devote its time and energy to the initial production of the MG-A. Only 3,400 TF-1500's were manufactured with the majority coming to America, to Canada and into Europe. Now about my Car:- Per the B.M.I.H.T. certificate, she was built between the 8th and the 12th of October, 1954. She had then, as now, Car/Chassis (V.I.N.) Number HDE43/7418, Engine Number XPEGTF1274, Body Number TF18013 and the factory optional, Chromed Wire Wheels. It was shipped from the factory to the U.S. on October 13th, 1954 Although she is a remarkable 60+ years old, she is in great, restored condition. During her history, many parts were chrome-plated that weren’t so plated by the factory. You’ll find these plated parts in all sorts of places including the Gas Tank sides and, believe it or not, all the Brake Drums and even the Prop Shaft, etc., etc., and especially under the hood. So if you're looking for a car that you can confidently drive to and successfully enter in your local car shows, she is it! Completely Rust-Free with the Undercarriage in excellent condition including all the recent, visible Wooden Components. Although she has been repainted during her 60 year life; the Paintwork has very few, very minor scars of being driven and there are no dents. The original Chrome-plated Parts and the Manufacturer's Badges, etc., are original and in excellent condition. The Clock doesn't work (they never do!) and the Horns and lights work. She has the very minor fluid leaks that just go with the era. I actually think I solved one by tightening the Oil Filter Housing. But, you know what they say about the British classic sports car, "if it doesn't leak, it's because there's no oil in it"! The Engine starts instantaneously from cold with short-lived use of the Choke and runs smoothly, idling at around 800 rpm and enthusiastically awaiting your use. She accelerates willingly with that gorgeous sound from the new Stainless Steel Exhaust with a Polished Muffler. She changes smoothly through all the Gears. First and Reverse are the typically noisy, Moss, straight-cut, non-synchromesh gears. There is virtually no play in the Steering but please remember that the driving position is the older "you can almost hit the horn button with your chest" style. The Steering is quite heavy at slower speeds compared with modern day cars as, in those days, there was no power assistance. The "Emergency" Brake works as it should and the car's Brakes are also good but do require more pressure than one is used to with modern cars (again, no power assistance). Similarly, comparatively heavy, the Clutch can give you wheel spin at the start in First Gear if you wish - proof that the Clutch is good. The Gauges, Switches and Lights have been checked and/or repaired/replaced and work as they should. She has been comprehensively serviced including:- All Fluid levels checked. The Radiator back-flushed and refilled with water. If you live where winters are a problem, please refill with Anti-Freeze. Fuel System checked. Carburetors checked. Air Cleaners cleaned. New Points, Distributor Cap, Condenser and Plugs fitted. Generator and Voltage Regulator checked. Other items of interest:- Chrome Wire Wheels and all 4 Brake Drums. Plenty of Chrome-Plated parts under the Hood, Fenders and at the rear. Four new Tires and a spare. A new, full, black, Tonneau Cover still in the supplier’s box un-opened. I also have an un-used white one if you'd prefer that? Twin, vintage, lap-type, Safety Belts. New Lucas PL700 headlights similar to those fitted to Rolls Royce and other British super luxury cars of the era have been fitted. Working Lucas SLD/SPF576 Spot/Fog Lights of the era and a wired/switched/working Reversing Light have been fitted. A brand new Badge Bar with brand new B.R.S.C.C., B.A.R.C. and MG Abingdon Badges. New Twin, fender-mounted Wing Mirrors and new, twin and of the era, vintage Windscreen Wind Wings etched with “1955 MG TF 1500” have been fitted. New battery cut-off switch fitted for security. She has the original Crank Handle (properly secured behind seats); twin Hood Stays (unusual); an MG Jack with Crank; an of-the-era, working, Hand Air Pump and the correct, Thor, Brass-headed Hammer for the Chromed, Wire Wheel, Knock-on Hubs. On the Passenger-side, Interior Valance a genuine antique, of-the-era, Polished Brass "Presto" mini Fire Extinguisher has been fitted in the original bracket. As the retardant is now illegal, the contents have been evacuated, so the Extinguisher is for decorative purposes only. There is a full MG Toolkit in a new Embroidered-Logo Toolroll. The Hood or Top is White and in good condition as is the rear, transparent window and the Hood's Frame-work. All four, White Side Screens, including the transparent vinyl, are in good condition. However, you surely don’t intend to take her out in the rain so I suggest you wrap them securely and put them in the attic where they belong. She also comes with a new Workshop Manual, an old-style but new Driver's Handbook (i.e. comprehensive) and Driver's Routine Service Manual and several publications which will interest you. A physical inspection by you and/or your agent is cordially invited but by appointment please. I am asking $38,950 but I'll certainly look at your reasonable offer. Typically of classic cars, she is offered on the basis of "AS IS, WHERE IS" and in strict and sole accordance with the terms of a mutually agreed, written SALE/PURCHASE AGREEMENT and a formal BILL OF SALE. I am selling my 1962 MGA Roadster. The car is black with a red interior and white top. The MG starts easy, runs and drives well. It has an early 1800 engine which is a common upgrade on the As. The 1800 improves driveability and it has no problem keeping up with modern traffic on highways. The engine is strong and smooth, it starts immediately, maintains good oil pressure (60 psi), and always stays cool. The transmission shifts nicely and precisely through all gears. The car was repainted in the mid 1980s and has been garage kept. The body is rust free and although the paint job is older, it has a good shine. The chrome front bumper could use re-plating. The bonnet/doors open/close easily and fit tight and the underneath is solid and clean. The interior and seats are in good shape and free of any rips or tears. It also has a classic Moto-Lita steering wheel with a beautiful riveted wood finish. The gauges, lights, etc all function properly. The soft-top and frame are in good condition. Potential buyers are welcome to inspect the car at my house. My cell phone is 845-558-5270.

In response to waning popularity, the folks at Abingdon went back to the drawing board to recreate the magic of the MGA. The result was a car that was, once again, decades ahead of its time. The MGB was so timeless in its styling, design and performance that it endured, without major redesigns, until production ended 18 years later in 1980. Of all the MGBs that were ever produced, the most desirable model is undoubtedly the MGB Mk1. The Mk1 MGBs were the purest of the Bs , these cars left the factory unhampered by the safety regulations and minor styling changes that would muddle future iterations of the car. Mk1 MGBs retain their removable folding tops that stow neatly in the trunk, leaving the lines of the car clean throughout the passenger compartment straight to the back of the car. They feature the handsome pull-handle doors that make them easily recognizable from later models. Perhaps the most attractive element that sets the early MGBs aside from later models though is the metal dashboard that harkens back to one of the most attractive styling elements of the MGAs (US safety regulations mandated a pillow dashboard for cars produced after 1967). Mechanically, the formula of the MGA remained alive and well in the MGBs. The B series engine transitioned from one car to the next, although it was enlarged to 1789CC for use in the MGB. Redesigned front disc brakes made for more reliable stopping power. Most radical though was the use of unibody construction on the MGB, making for a much stronger and stiffer body that not only aided in rigidity going down the road, but also provided unprecedented safety in the event of a collision. Of the MGBs built, less than 20% had factory overdrive, making it a very rare option. Overdrive cars could easily reach and surpass the 100mph mark. This 1964 MGB Mk1 presented here is, unabashedly, the best Mk1 MGB for sale on the market today. It has just undergone a complete bottom up, nut and bolt restoration at a well known British car restoration shop in Florida. From top to bottom you will not find a better looking car. This is just about as nice as you can get for a car that you can still expect to drive on the road, as opposed to trailering it from show to show. The paint is gorgeous and has deep lustre to it. The body is straight, rust free, and not bondo-ridden like so many of these cars are. You can expect this car to hold up for years to come provided it is cared for properly. Underneath, the car looks just as nice as it does on the top-side. Mechanically the car idles well, starts right up (even in the cold). Going down the road the car is extremely solid. It tracks straight and does not wander, even on the highway at speed. The transmission is smooth and quiet. All the synchro's appear in good order as you would expect on a car that has just been rebuilt. Speaking of speed, with the overdrive unit the car is comfortable at 80mph and beyond. It can genuinely be used alongside modern cars. This is not one that you need to keep off of the freeways. All of the gauges and electrical components work as they should. It should be added that, although not pictured, this car also comes with a restored period correct fiberglass hardtop, as well as a black soft top and a black tonneau cover. Carol Shelby had it right, Put American power into a lite British car and hang on. Chevy Vortec V-6 HO, T-5 Trans with a 12 bolt rear end. Put this all in a lite weight 71 MGB GT and let the good times roll. Been in storage for awhile, connected the battery, let the fuel pump put some fuel in the carb and Fired right up. Put some air in the tires and was running through the canyon roads close to my house 10 minutes later. Beautiful Ride thru the Lake Elizabeth valley, Mazda 3 pulls out in front of me, down shift to 4th bye bye. Took some of these photos at the poppy reserve in Southern California. 50 mile round trip without a hitch other than the trans was a little noisy for the first 10 miles or so then quieted down. Gonna get that looked at. Not a perfect car, wish list would be fix all the gauges. Only the temp and oil work at this time. GET BETTER BRAKES!!! They stop, but with that added power they need to stop better. Make the suspension better. Beat a Honda 2000 thru the canyon once but only because of the exit power this car has, the cornering so-so. Shelby Cobras had the same problem, I had one. There are a couple of nicks in the paint here and there but I think it gives the car character. "OL 22". I bought this car on e-bay 3 years ago. Owner fibbed, the only thing holding it together where zip ties. We took off about 50 of em. They where everywhere. Everything is now connected the way it should be. When I bought the car it had a Georgia license plate and still does. Got a Certified bill of sale as Georgia does not do title and a registration certificate. All numbers match on Bill of Sale, Registration and VIN/Body. I haven't titled it yet in Arizona as most of my time with this car has been repair. Wasn't happy at first, got to admit but now it is hard to put up for sale. Own too many cars ( it's a sickness ) and some have to go so reluctantly selling this car. Any questions e-mail me and I will do my best to answer ( I won't fib ) Hate getting burned. Any bidder with less then 10 needs to contact me before bidding or I will block you, like I said, Hate getting burned

The TF, unveiled in late 1953, represented a major evolutionary step for MG with its repositioned headlamps, new bonnet design, sloping hood line and raked radiator. TF 1500 has proven to be the most desirable of the T-Series cars as it marked the end of the series with more power and better handling. MG aficionados hold the model in very high regard, as they believe it represents the final evolution of MG's iconic and classic design. Outfitted in the ideal British livery of BRG over Tan leather upholstery, this particular MG TF benefits from a nicely mellowed older restoration. Today, it makes for an excellent driver or touring contender. The car shows evidence of much care and attention to detail and although the cosmetics have slightly aged it still remains a very attractive example. This example is striking in its attire, complete with tan weather gear including folding top, a full set of side curtains, boot cover and luggage rack. Its correct "matching numbers" XPEG 1500cc engine performs very well. The undercarriage has been thoroughly detailed and shows the quality of its previous restoration. Ideal for all around fun and enjoyment, this TF1500 represents one of the most desired post-war MGs and truly embodies the essence of British motoring at a fraction of the cost of its counterparts. $39,500.00 Offers Welcomed Full Resolution Photos: 1955 MG TF1500 To learn more about this vehicle, please contact our sales department at (281) 497-1000 or [email protected] SELLING YOUR CAR? 1959 MGA Convertible A Groovy Kind of Love 1959 MGA Roadster Here's something you don't see everyday...a classic MGA roadster. It's a great weekend driver, not perfect, but is just right for the enthusiast who has always wanted one. This MG still requires some tinkering and sorting, but what 56 year-old car doesn't? Here's a fine opportunity to get into a very collectible British icon and start living the dream! The MG is a blast to own and drive. This classic is a real crowd-pleaser and will make you and everyone else in its presence smile. Green exterior resembles the color of money. It shines nicely and is very alluring - not to show standards, but to "driver" quality. You can still polish and wax it, and it'll look great. Body panels, and underside are dry and show no corrosion or paint bubbles. < Interior is in nice condition. Seats are in great shape, showing no tears or rips. Cushions are thick and supportive. Some trim pieces are not installed, such as door panels. Speedometer, fuel gauge, temperature, oil pressure, and voltage meters work. Tachometer does not. Signals and brake lights function fine. Tail-lights when in the "running" position do not work, although the headlights do. Horn works. I have some of the missing interior parts, and will include them with the sale. Soft top is in good condition. The three plastic windows are clear and flexible. There is a slight tear on the front of the top that can be repaired or patched. Included are a pair of removable side curtains, which are in good shape, to use when the top is on. The motor is a 4-cylinder MG unit with dual SU carburetors. I am not sure if this is the original engine to the car, as there are some modifications that have been made. I do, however, have another engine block that came with the car when I acquired it over 9 years ago. This motor may be the car's factory motor, but I am not sure. It will be included with the sale, if you want it. The current motor runs strong and fires right up, even when cold, by pulling out the choke lever a bit. Oil pressure is good and it doesn't overheat. Like all British cars, it leaks some oil. The carbs could stand to be properly adjusted/balanced or the timing dialed in. Newer style alternator is mounted to the engine block using a non-factory bracket that was fabricated. This should be corrected, as the alternator shimmies and will tend to rattle against the inner fenders of the engine bay when the motor is revved. It could also be due to a motor mount. Some of the missing engine bay components I do have and will include them with the sale. The gearbox and brakes are in good condition. Clutch is fine and there's no popping out of any gears. Transmission is the old "crash-box" non-synchro first gear. Brakes have new lines and the cylinders were also replaced on all wheels. The car will require two 6-volt batteries. The ones currently installed are too old to hold a charge and require a "jump" to start the motor. I've owned this MG for nine years and have enjoyed driving it through the back roads and to the beach. It has been reliable and hasn't left me stranded. A classic MGA is a British icon that presents a good value and opportunity in the world of collectible automobiles, as they are quite sought after. This MG has not been restored, and requires the typical maintenance that comes with owning such as sports car. This tangible investment is safer than the stock market and is something you can enjoy, again and again. Why not mix business with pleasure? This 1959 MGA is being advertised in a Buy it Now, at $17,850 format. There is no auction, where missing out on a good deal in the last 15 seconds is a tragedy we all know too well. No, this vintage sports car is being offered For Sale right now, at a disclosed price, so don't let it get away! For a full, detailed description of this fun and collectible 1959 MGA, please send an email with your specific questions, or call. phone: (805) 801-2581 or email: [email protected] website To see additional Cars for Sale, click Current Inventory You’re welcome to inspect this vehicle in person, or have someone inspect it for you. Stated mileage of 47,401 is the current odometer reading, but due to its age, this is not the vehicle's actual mileage. MG is sold with a clear California title. DO NOT BID unless you have the necessary funds readily available to pay for vehicle and you are SERIOUS about owning it. NOTE: seller may remove car early from auction as this vehicle is advertised elsewhere and may be sold before auction’s end Please keep in mind that when purchasing a used vehicle, most cars are not "perfect" and minor imperfections may be visible upon closer inspection. These imperfections may include, but are not limited to, small scratches and dings, rock chips, minor surface rust, small stains or tears in the carpeting, windshield imperfections, and wear on the seats. Every attempt will be made to accurately describe the "overall" condition of each vehicle. Please note that it is ultimately the responsibility of the buyer to verify the accuracy of any statements that are made regarding the condition of said vehicle. There are no guarantees as to the accuracy of the descriptions made. Please call at 805. 801. 2581 if you have any questions. Thank you.

We are just being realistic; most of the cars we deal in are vintage and by their very nature will need TLC and some degree of attention sooner or later. These are not new cars and your expectation should not be of a perfect, new car. Once full payment has been received, Seller will email or fax a copy of clear title, Bill of Sale, Buyers Guide and additional DMV forms to the Buyer to sign and return via email or fax. The fully-executed forms must be returned to the Seller prior to the shipment of said vehicle. Original paperwork will be sent to Buyer via USPS Priority Mail within ten (10) days from date of final payment. Transportation For a quote on shipping anywhere in the world, please feel free to email us at [email protected] or call 636-600-4600. We will give you an estimated cost for open and enclosed transport or overseas. We are happy to accommodate our international buyers! Over the last several decades we have exported thousands of cars to Norway, Germany, Estonia, Puerto Rico, Hawaii, Alaska, Costa Rica, Brazil, British Columbia, Canada and many other locations around the world. Overseas shipments will be placed into a steel container for safe sea passage or optional roll-on/roll-off (RoRo). We take care of all the details and paperwork. All you have to do is collect the car at your nearest port and enjoy! Please note that we are not a transport company and only offer this service as a convenience to our customers. You are more than welcome to arrange your own shipping. Transportation will commence only after final payment and signed documentation are received. Financing We offer financing through many of the best lenders in the industry. They are currently offering very attractive rates for all collector and special interest automobiles. With loan amounts from $10,000 to $500,000, and flexible terms of up to 12 years, you can finance the car of your dreams. Call us at 636-600-4600 for additional details. Warranty ALL SALES ARE FINAL WITH CAR BEING SOLD WHERE IS, AS IS! The vehicle is offered with a right to a personal inspection by any bidder or agent of any bidder. The vehicle is available for inspection prior to bidding. If you are the high bidder and unable to inspect said vehicle before auction close, you or an agent will have (7) days to inspect said vehicle after the close of auction. I encourage a physical inspection strongly to avoid any misunderstandings or representations. All used vehicles should be assumed to have some degree of wear. No vehicle is perfect to everyone. Each vehicle has its strengths, styles, tendencies and shortcomings. Therefore, despite our best efforts to verify a vehicle’s mechanical condition, we are not able to warranty a manufacturer’s workmanship or previous owner’s diligence in care. It is for this reason that all vehicles are sold ”WHERE/IS, AS/IS”. We have described the above mentioned vehicle to the best of our ability. However, with all classic and exotic vehicles, the condition is subjective. Please be advised that no oral or written statements concerning any vehicle constitutes a representation or warranty of the condition of the said vehicle. INDUSTRY UNIQUE RETURN POLICY: If for any reason you receive your vehicle and have buyer’s remorse, are not happy with the vehicle or just don’t want it for any reason we will purchase the car back from you. We must be notified in writing of your decision to return the vehicle within seven (7) days of your receipt of said vehicle. The vehicle may not have more than 75 additional miles on the odometer from the time it left our possession and be returned in the same condition that it left. You WILL be responsible for a restocking fee that will equal 20% of the purchase price of the vehicle, no exceptions. You will also be responsible for shipping the vehicle back to our shop at your expense. Copyright © 1999-2015 MotoeXotica. All Rights Reserved.
