Motorcar Studio is pleased to offer this very nicely restored 1957 MGA fixed-head coupe. The car underwent a full restoration in 2005; it has only been driven about 12,000 miles since (and only in nice weather, judging from the excellent condition of the wooden floor boards). Paint quality is very good with no flaws to note and zero known rust; panels are straight with good gaps. Bumpers, grille, trim, rubbers and glass are excellent. The wire wheels were replaced with new reproductions in 2010; tires are even newer. The underside looks very solid -- it's not detailed to a concours standard underneath, but both the wood and steel portions are in great shape with no known rot or rust. Overall, the car shows to an exceptional driver standard -- it would certainly be well received at any MG or English car show or club event. The interior shows very nicely, with leather seats, new carpet and floor mats, reproduction door panels, and a restored dash and banjo steering wheel. All gauges, switches, indicators and lights are working. Headliner and package shelf are excellent. The red interior looks striking against the Old English White exterior -- it's a very attractive car, inside and out. Under the hood is a 1500 cc engine mated to a four-speed manual gearbox. The engine was fully rebuilt in 2005; the car has also seen a new clutch, fully rebuilt brakes, suspension and steering components. The gearbox feels great and all synchros are good. The car feels remarkably tight and fresh -- it runs and drives as well as any MGA you will find. We have a folder full of records from the restoration. For more information about this gorgeous, restored 1957 MGA coupe available at Motorcar Studio in Atlanta, please call 404-692-5250.

This is a good deal for someone wanting a MGA roadster that that can reassemble to make a very nice driver. The VIN indicates that it is a late 1500 roadster. The car is built to a 1600 specification (fenders, engine). The chassis has been repainted and is solid. There are new plywood floor boards lying on the frame. One panel was misplaced, but one can easily replicate it using the other side as a pattern. The body has been repainted on in a dark cream color, a little too dark for Old English White in my opinion, but nevertheless it looks good. The body is sitting on top of the chassis, but it is not 100% attached. The body still has fabricated cross bar supports that maintain the trueness until final assembly. On the driver's side of the trunk floor there is a patch that needs to be finished up in a more tidy fashion, other than that it is a rather solid car. The windshield is in good condition and is still in its frame. The seats while decent enough for a driver, need to be recovered and it also needs an interior panel kit. I have a Moss kit in red vinyl for both, that I was going to use on another project, but is available for an extra amount. A cloth convertible in beige is still in its wrapper from Moss Motors. Several sets of side curtains come with the car, including a rare set from an early 1500 roadster. A set of wing wings is there as well. The dashboard (painted to match the car) and the gauges are there, as well another dashboard and pieces to make it a RHD specification if you so desire. The car rides on a set of 48 spoke wire wheels that are fine for rolling the vehicle around, but included are a decent looking set of 60 spoke wheels that have decent splines and no broken spokes. The 1600 engine was bored .030 over to give it a displacement of around 1622cc. The block and valve cover are painted in the correct maroon. An early 18G MGB head is included to complete the 1622cc specification. The head needs to be rebuilt and repainted. I have not disassembled the engine to examine what work was done, but for piece of mind, I would suggest going through it before final assembly. The standard four speed transmission is there as well. The deal includes perhaps two pickup truck loads of spare parts. It looks like it was the result of a couple of cars that were dismantled. Extra distributors, side curtains, steering columns, brake calipers, master cylinders, chrome bits, boxes and buckets, NOS gasket sets, etc. I have never gone through it all, but you have more than enough to complete the car. Overall, this is a lot of MGA for the money. All of the heavy lifting has been done. Car has a clear California title. When finished, it will be a very nice driver. Bring a trailer and give it a good home. As with any car purchase, I suggest an inspection to see if the car suits your expectations. If I accept your bid or offer on the car, it is not an opportunity to come look at the car and kick the tires. Ask questions beforehand and arrange to inspect the car before making a bid or offer. **Car is sold as is with no warranty. It is a 55 year old car, and I have I described it to the best of my ability. I have owned many British cars over the years and will answer your questions with brutal honesty. I like to give you the total facts as I see it, since I have been burned by Ebay car deals in the past. If you are serious contact me and I will give you my phone number, so you can contact me. I prefer that to a thousand emails and it sorts out who is truly serious and not a time waster.

MKII Deluxe with heritage certificate. She runs and drives very well, the original engine is completely overhauled. Interior has leather MGB seats in excellent condition carpet and panels also in great shape. Paint is nice there's no rust anywhere the bottom is clean and painted. All systems function properly no strange noises. The top and side curtains are in fair condition the tonneau is tan and in great condition. The bonnet has louvers that grow on you. The tires and brakes are new. Here's a chance to own one of the rarest of the rare MGAs in great condition ready to drive and show with confidence. The grill has a slight dent on the center vertical brace and the front bumper has a bolt slightly pushed out from a parking lot ding but nothing too severe. Both the engine and close ratio gearbox are original to this car. I drive this car often its no trailer queen its ready to go right now which is very unusual for such a rare and desirable car.

A NEW 1957 MG MGA 1500 2-Door Roadster Beautiful MGA restoration with Sebring front and rear styling. The 2 year frame off restoration was completed in September of 2015 The MGA sports a great performing MGB 1800 3 main engine with a 3 syncro 4 speed transmission and 391 differential gear for highway cruising. The goal of the restoration was to blend racing and nostalgic themes, while adding or improving safety, serviceability and drive-ability features. In keeping with the Sebring theme the radio is deleted; however the antenna is installed for future radio installation if desired. I like to describe this car as a new 1957 MGA roadster. It gets a lot of looks and comments. The MGA has won a couple of trophies at local car shows. The top is from England and features a custom a zippered rear window. You can drive with the top up during those blistering hot days and still get a top down fell without getting a sun burn. The towel in the photo covers the window to keep from scratching it. Every part was inspected and replaced or refurbished to new or better specifications where warrantied. The motor was rebuilt by previous owner. It was tested for leak down and compression. It maintains 65 lbs or greater oil pressure while cruising at 3000 rpm. The Frame was media blasted and coated with POR15. All other body parts where media blasted and under-coated with raptor tint-able urethane where required. Paint is a British racing green with a 9 out of 10 score. Some minor rock chips from driving. Safety upgrades include the following. Upgraded safety restraints from lap belt to 3 point retractable. Upgraded braking system includes a Single Line Brake Servo Booster for improve pedal feel and stopping power. Upgraded steel brake lines to Copper Nickel Brake lines. These will never rust. Upgraded Minilite Style Wheel - Knockoff - Anthracite - 15" x 5.5". Will not flex under load like wire wheels. Drive-ability and serviceability features include Upgraded ignition system to Protronix electronic ignition module and sport coil Upgraded wiring and ATO fuse panels. Eliminates the trouble prone Lucas 2 fuse panel. Upgraded charging system. Gm 63 amp alternator replaces old style generator and regulator box. Upgraded ground system from positive to negative ground. Upgraded starter system includes modern nippon denso 5840115 starter and ignition switch. Upgraded PCV system. Additional items include. New USB charger for cell phones and other electronics. Voltmeter module. Custom top with zippered rear window from England. Set of painted wire wheels New fender welting from England -Made in Germany to correct factory specs. Better than any you can find in the states

A 1957 MGA Roadster in very nice condition. Custom Paint job completed in 2011 has a lifetime guarantee and is superb. She has been garaged since. All of the lies are straight as the doors, hood, fenders, trunk and chrome were removed, reworked to original condition, primed, repainted and reassembled. New leather seats and interior carpets were installed at this time. Steel wheels were also redone. The paint is beautiful with a deep shine. The chrome is a mixture of new and very nice original/rechromed. The bumpers and luggage rack are 2-3 years old. Other chrome and rubber replacements are too numerous to list. The brakes were redone in 2015/16. The radiator was replaced in 2016. The top is functional but has a very cloudy rear window. The tonneau was bought in 2013. Windows are in good condition. Extensive maintenance records going back to 1998. Moss Motors parts history is also available. The cars runs great but there are some hiccups: Gas Gauge pinned at full even tho I installed a new sensor. I will order a new gauge for the buyer's installation. - Horn works intermittently. -Touchy hood and trunk cables. - Top rails need tightejng. The1600cc MGB engine was installed sometime in the mid-80s. The car is beautiful and a great every day driver -not a garage car. Shop manual and spare parts included. THE BUYER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR SHIPPING. I

The trunk only has surface rust and both inner rockers have some rust that will need repaired. The front and rear clips are in good condition as seen in the pictures. This will need a complete restoration done, the rear fenders will need body work done but the front passenger side looks to be in good condition except the lower areas will need a patch panel.
