For sale European Right Hand Drive 1958 MG MAGNETTE. Vin # KAAA1332710 More pictures Below (90+) Here is a 1958 MG MAGNETTE ZB Black & Silver two Tone paint with Red Leather Interior, fitted with 4 Speed manual Transmission, Florida Clear Title, in need of some restoration. The car was imported from the UK in 1988, and kept by the same owner until recently, He brought the car to Tampa Florida and used the car up until 1994, when he took the car off the road to restore the vehicle to its former glory, it has been dry stored over the last 22 years and has had the interior completely redone to a very good standard, all though he never got round to the body work, Car starts on the button, and Chrome is excellent. Inside The seats have been recovered, New carpets and head liner and sun visors, Dash board and wood door trims are in great shape and i am not sure if they had been refinished or if they are original?, either way the wood is in great shape, Glass is all good order, no cracks, gauges all seem to work fine, and the inner chrome handles and trim are superb, door panels all look new to. Outside The paint is looking its age and is in need of a repaint Body panels all generally look good with no major rot or rust problems, Its 57 years old, so there is some surface rust and marks as to be expected, but as you can see from the pictures it looks ok, All the chrome work is there and is in excellent condition with no pitting and will clean up very well, both front and rear bumpers are exceptional and dent free, Head lights are in excellent condition and its fitted with some driving lights on the front bumper. Mechanical The MG Starts on the button and runs fine, and idles fine with no untoward noise or fuss, I drove the car approx 5 miles and it ran fine, 4 speed manual gearbox changed ok and brakes worked as they should, with drum brakes all round, don't expect it to stop like a modern car :) There is some extra parts with the car, See pictures provided, looks like a complete door and trunk seal kit, Front spare Lights, period radio and MG parts catalog & workshop manual, Also some interesting pictures of the car, from i would guess the 60's or 70s when the car was in England and some pictures of the original owner boating with family. The Bad Really needs full repaint and although most of the frame and floors are good, the front floor pans have had some welding done at some point to a poor standard and the left side really needs cutting out and redoing as there is still some rot and work is poor, See pictures, over haul and good complete car that requires some work to make it a great usable rare British Classic car. Engine was rebuilt prior to the purchase by the last owner about 15 years ago. No smoke, runs strong. New clutch and master cylinder and rear brakes, many small parts, new radiator, runs cool, interior in very good condition, all gauges work, radio replaced with a Sony with multiple speakers, overdrive works fine and is a hard to find feature, tires in nice shape, cockpit cover, original jack and some spare parts also included with car. What we have here today is not true barn find but instead, a shed find and I own the shed!!! I've been rebuilding MGs for about 20 years now and have also collected a couple other nice vintage cars. But it is time to let this hobby go and move on to my retirement life. So, just bear with me and I'll try to describe all the cars in this listing. This is an "ALL FOR ONE PRICE" deal. If they don't all sell in one group, I will consider offers on individual cars or parts, but only after this auction runs its full course. 1st-- is the '80 MGB LE. It is a rust free body with the engine removed, due to the fact that it was locked up when I bought the car and the interior has been removed for a total resto. All parts to make this a whole car are included. It has a clear TN title. 2nd--'80 MGB, white with black interior, wire wheels. hardtop, and air conditioning installed. It has a clear MS title. 3rd--'80 MGB, white with black interior, complete car. It has a Bill of Sale from TX. 4th--A "FAKE" '80 MGB LE with a MA title. This car caught on fire and burnt out the interior and the engine compartment. I purchased it because from the trunk back the fire did not burn, the LE wheels and tires were untouched, and the lights and bumpers on both ends were still intact. 5th--'79 MGB, white with poorly patched rust on the rocker panels. I drove this car into the shed and it has a clear AR title. 6th--'78 MGB, covered in primer over a blue paint, no rust, no engine, no interior, with small damage to the radiator support. It has a clear TN title. 7th--'78 MGB, red with no rust, no engine, no interior, and no title. 8th--''77 MGB, red with oil leak around the oil filter hose. Complete car brown interior, and it ran when I bought it with no rust. Clear TX title. 9th--'76 MGB, purple, no interior, unknown about engine, so may be only good for parts. Clear VA title. 10th--'77 MG MIDGET, orange no rust, but engine has a rod knocking. Clear TX title. 11th--'73 MG MIDGET, piece of crap, wire wheels, good for parts only. Clear FL title 12th--'71 MGB GT, black primer over robin egg blue color. Rust only in drivers floorboard, partial interior, carbs removed but included. Clear AR title. 1985 Corvette, fire engine red, with red interior. Was replacing carpet with brand new mass black when I hurt my back. 350 hp TPI engine with 7 speed tranny. Previous owner said overdrive tranny was bad, but while replacing interior, I found a bad wire to overdrive. I have an extra overdrive tranny included in case the wiring is not the problem. And YES, the Nintendo dash works as advertised. I drove this car home from southern Tx. Some spare parts including extra set of wheels and tires. Clear TX title. 1980 Porsche 924, silver with partial interior. Rod knocking in engine although I drove car onto trailer when picked up. No title, no rust. 1981 DELOREAN, the DOMINOS PIZZA car, orange white and blue. No damage, this car was bought by the original owner of Dominos in 1981, driven out of the showroom to a paint shop, then used as advertising gimmick by delivering several pizzas. The car was then put into the owners museum until he went bankrupt. I picked up this car in Indiana and drove it home. Automatic with a gas flap hood. The car is not running due to fuel injector problem. 8200 total miles and a ton of spare parts go with the car, including a spare engine, extra wheels, etc. As for spare parts for all those MGs, there are enough to fill up a large U-Haul truck. Most all those boxes that line the walls of my shed are full of extra parts. Weber carbs, a dozen or so extra fuel pumps, wheels, tires, brakes, electrics, a couple overdrive trannys, bumpers, two extra hardtops, seats, gauges, and the list goes on and on. If someone is looking for something for an MG, I have 99% of the parts in my inventory. One price gets everything. By now, you have probably noticed a pattern--------no rust, no rust, no rust---------and most all these vehicles are Southern cars. Yes, I have bought rusted cars, but only for the parts they contained. I would strip them out and the body would be regulated to the recycle folks. At one time I had 24 MGs in my stable, but I just can't continue at this pace. I need to slow down. This 1964 MGB has a REBUILT ENGINE WITH LESS THAN 300 MILES, and the TRANSMISSION WAS OVERHAULED by the same business. Additionally, it has a NEW CLUTCH, NEW FRONT SHOCKS, NEW REAR LEAF SPRINGS, NEW REAR BUMPER, NEW EXHAUST SYSTEM, NEW ELECTRONIC IGNITION, NEW RADIATOR and a NEW STARTER, upgraded to a high torque model. THE FOLLOWING WAS DONE TO THE ENGINE: Bored out to .040", NEW Pistons, NEW Crank, NOS Distributor, and NEW Valves & Valve Springs. The engine was rebuilt by Bruce Woodson of "Mercer & Woodson" in Richmond VA; specializing in classic vehicles, with combined experiences of over 50 years. Engine will start and run and sounds great! I can only assume that the transmission is original, but I can’t say for sure, because I bought the car used, then overhauled it. The Carburetor is a Weber Down Draft. There is nothing special about the intake manifold and exhaust header; the engine was not built to be a racecar. There is extensive rust under the car, rocker panels, floor pans, doglegs etc. (Zoom in on photos) It’s not that the body can't be repaired, but there is a lot of rust to deal with. I do not have the original steering wheel. The vehicle must be towed off the property because the seats are not attached to the floorboard, and although the tires do hold air, the tires have dry rot. 1980 MGB Limited Edition This little sweetheart has only had two owners, my dad and myself with 58,709 original miles. She was a wedding present. She has truly lived up to being a MGB. She is fun, fast and awesome during the summer with her top down and we were stuck in the Hampton Roads Bridge Tunnel in 1983 for almost 2 hours until the fuel pump decided to work again. She has a lot of history and now she is for sale. Fuel pump has been replaced with an electronic fuel pump and has worked great since. She is a 1980, Limited Edition, 4 cylinder, manual, beauty. The 1980 Limited Edition besides the luggage rack and silver stripes also has an automatic overdrive. She also had the automatic choke replaced with a manual choke. In 2004 I had the engine cleaned and back dated. So now the engine has a little more power. It was back dated to about a 75. Instead of the one Zenith carb she now has two SU carbs with KandN air filters. She was also painted about 20 years ago and has been garage kept ever since. For the last 10 years she has only been driven during the summer and never in the rain. Paint is in great condition but does have minor small scratches that come with age. Also to note, drivers seat webbing underneath needs replaced. Spare tire rim is bent in one place but tire holds air just fine. Still have original tonneau covers and are in excellent condition. Floor mats are custom and snap into floor of car. Also included is front license holder with MGB frame and new center caps for rims that has MG outlined in white.
