2002 Mini Cooper S For sale is a one-owner 2002 Mini Cooper S. The original owner, whom I am helping sell this car for, is a mature, non-smoker who has kept up on all scheduled services as well as any other required maintenance including tires, brakes, state inspection items, or any other items that needed attention or preventative maintenance. Here are some features of the car: •2002 Mini Cooper “S” Model. o163hp 1.6L Supercharged 4-cylinder engine o6-Speed Manual Transmission oDark Silver Metallic with Black Roof, Mirrors and Bonnet Stripes oSunroof & Rear Moonroof oHeated Blue/Black Leather Sport Seats oOn-board computer with service intervals oSatellite Radio (Aftermarket unit, subscription required) oRun-flat tires on 17” wheel o5 disc CD Changer (disconnected) The car currently has less than 98,000 miles on it and is only being driven sparingly now that it is up for sale. I do not believe that cars should sit or be started for short periods, so when started, it will be taken for short trips to be properly warmed up and driven. Given its age and mileage, this Mini still gets great mileage and drives and performs as should. The owner claims that it still gets 28mpg and I’m sure better highway mileage with a lighter foot! Though along with the age, there are going to be obvious and expected signs that the car has been used. The paint, as shiny as it is, does have typical nicks, scratches, slight dings which should all be expected given its age. However there is also some damage to the front bumper, but only cosmetic. There is also minor rust starting around the tail-lights, which isn’t uncommon. The interior is also in fantastic shape for its mileage and age. The black and blue leather seating is in great condition, as the rear seats have virtually no use or wear, and the front sport seats seem to just be nicely broken in; the leather is still in good condition and the side bolsters are still nice and supportive and not completely squished or worn. All buttons and switchgear are in perfect working order and all of the electronics, minus the CD changer are in perfect working order as well. The 5 disc CD changer stopped working and has simply been disconnected (This is one rare item that the owner was not concerned about having fixed). As the car also has satellite radio, along with all of the portable devices to bring your music along, a CD changer is now a minor detail. To keep the factory radio, it may be possible to look into an ipod/auxiliary input to use with the CD changer controls. Overall, this Mini Cooper S is a blast to drive and mechanically sound. Recent repairs include new mufflers and a coolant tank. There is nothing that would be a concern to take this car across the country and back, as the owner has loved this car since new. It handles and rides incredibly well, pulls strong, and has plenty of life in it and is just waiting to find the right new owner. Note: Quick photos were taken in less than perfect light.
