1996 Olds Cutlass Supreme with a 3.1 L engine and a 4T60E trans The car has 180,000 miles The interior is in very good condition for its age and the body has minimal rust. The engine recently started burning antifreeze and it was coming out the exhaust in a white cloud. Suspect a blown head gasket (it hasn't been officially diagnosed. It has not been driven since that happened). The trans was turning on the check engine light and it was related to the lock up torque converter. The lock up circuit has been disconnected as the trans was causing issues with it connected. This would make an awesome drag car. Some minor issues with the car... Button for lowering driver's side window doesn't always work, and sometimes has to be pressed repeatedly Radio antenna is stuck halfway down, cannot be raised or lowered Radio and speakers are awesome, but CD/cassette unit has a cassette stuck in it and won't work Rear driver side taillight cover cracked, I have the broken off pieces Includes extra full size rim and tire AC does not work (I never use it, so I had no reason to fix it) Window wash sprayer does not work Rust starting around passenger wheel well and on driver's side lower door frame Car was a daily driver until the gasket blew Never had any starting/running problems in the 4 1/2 years I owned it Car had great speed and acceleration even with the trans part disconnected. 1970 Oldsmobile Cutlass “S”. Body on frame restored of a very original car. Gold with gold interior. Numbers matching 350 2 BBL car with 95,900 DOCUMENTED miles. I have extensive repair receipts dating back to when the car was purchased new which show the mileage progression through the years. Have 2 build sheets from the car. Factory Equipped with Power Steering, Power front Disc Brakes, Air conditioning, light group, AM Radio. I spent almost 13k restoring this car (cost for the parts (not included labor!) and paint work) I have receipts for everything. The entire interior was replaced (headliner to carpet). Front suspension completely rebuilt, new springs and shocks all around. Brakes all new front to back. New flowmaster dual exhaust. All new weatherstipping. Tires are brand new. Both Bumpers are new. Heater Core and Radiator are new. And so on….. For my own personal taste I added the dual exhaust and 442 cut out bumper (came with single), factory rear sway bar and boxed control arms, Ralley wheels, correct 70 sport mirrors, and a factory power trunk lid release. I purchased this car about 5 years ago from the original owners son. He inherited it many years ago from his parents (the original owners). It spent its first ten years in Florida, then came up to Maryland. Once in Maryland, it was never used as a primary vehicle and NEVER driven in the snow. As a result, all the sheet metal on the car is original. The rear quarters have NEVER had any rust, or rust repair. This is almost unheard of for a GM A-body car. Frame is beautiful, trunk floor in excellent shape. Only metal repair needed was to the passenger floor as a leaky heater core caused some rust there. Could have patched it but had a correct floor pan replacement welded in place. Metal patch panels also welded on both front fenders. Wanted to keep them original as they are the CORRECT 70 one year only fenders The transmission was rebuilt less than 10k miles ago. Top end of the engine has also been rebuilt along with timing chain replacement. This was all done prior to my ownership and I have all receipts. Car runs and drives great. No leaks or drips from motor or trans. Starts right up, no smoke. As the car is 44 years old it is sold as is, with no warranties either expressed or implied. I believe I have accurately described the vehicle, but I encourage you to ask questions you have before purchasing. There is no engine or transmission in the car. But we can supply an engine and transmission to go with it. Please understand this car has been sitting for at least 20 years that I am aware of. It does have clear title with a CA no-op on it. No license plate. The car appears to have been coral and white, as were the other 2 that came from this lot. The right front fender may have been changed as I see blue paint under the peeling paint that is on it now. Please note the spot light is still on the car. Please understand this car needs a complete restoration. But with only 96 thousand miles showing on the odometer, how could you not love this car. He had even contacted the previous owner to obtain the radio security code (for some reason, the original Volvo code was no longer valid). I, like many people would be, was very nervous about buying a car on ebay from America. I live in Norway so had to rely on Vals honesty throughout the purchase. He took photos from so many angles it was almost as good as seeing it in person. The transaction went very smoothly and correspondance was excellent. I required Vals help to sort out an issue with the Customs which required some further documentation from Volvo in America and Val sorted this out for me. We have always wanted a 740 IL and, after getting the windows tinted, it is by far the most beautiful car we’ve ever owned. Obviously, purchasing a car over the internet causes some, if not a lot, of hesitation. You never know who you’re dealing with, or what you’re going to get. But, you did a great job providing so many pictures and details about the car and its history that it helped to overcome our fears and ultimately sold us.
