The original owner is still alive and is now 84 years old. In the 80's he sold it to a family member and it moved to IL. I can't stress how clean this car is. It has the original block, transmission and rear-end. It also currently has aluminum intake and heads. It definitely is not your fathers Oldsmobile. Over a years worth of work was put into the restoration. Every nut and bolt has either been preserved or restored with the correct finishes. The marker light and taillight housings have even been replated. It has an all new legendary interior, and top. The carpet is original, as there is nothing better fitting than original if you can keep it. A rally pack in the dash has been added. The car has been shown and won a 1st place at the 2013 Oldsmobile Nationals scoring 989. It took a Concours gold at MCACN in 2013 scoring 992. It received an AACA junior first prize in August of 2014 and was recently awarded (Feb 2015) the AACA 2014 REO Oldsmobile award for Best Oldsmobile as selected by the national judges.
