Big, comfortable, and able to effortlessly cruise across the country, this is first-class travel the way it was meant to be. There's a lot of sheetmetal here, and the good news is that it's all in excellent shape. The yellow paint appears to be a special order color identified by "SPECIAL" on the cowl tag; it's a bit brighter than Omega Yellow, which was available that year, and we have to say that it looks great on the full-sized Olds. It was repainted a few years ago, but this is otherwise a good original car that's led an easy life, so the sheetmetal lines up well, the doors close firmly, and it looks quite crisp overall. The white rub strip was reinstalled after that paint was dry and as far as we can tell, this was a trim-off job that looks very sharp around all the edges. Details like the urethane rubber fillers between the body and bumpers are in excellent condition and all the lenses are bright and clear, another indicator of a car that's lived indoors. And like most luxury cars of the '70s, there's plenty of chrome, including the bumpers, grille, headlight surrounds and windshield frame. The white interior appears to be almost entirely original, which, again, will give you some indication of how well-maintained this car really is. The driver's seat shows some minor wear, mostly in the high-traffic area where someone would slide behind the wheel, but there's nothing in need of replacement. Black carpets are probably a bit newer than the rest and look great, while the back seat is very well preserved. The dash pad and the woodgrained inserts are excellent with no fading or cracking, and you'll note that this car's list of accessories include A/C (still fully operational), power windows, cruise control, and a tilt steering column. Gauges are crisp and bright, if only covering the basics, and even the original AM/FM radio is still doing its thing in the middle of the dash. The white power convertible top is GM's "scissor" design that permits a full-width rear seat and includes a glass rear window and matching white boot. The trunk is neatly finished with original-style mouse-fur pad and a matching spare assembly. Oldsmobile's 350 cubic inch V8 doesn't share any major components with other divisions' small block motors, and that's entirely a good thing. It's torquey and smooth with a distinctly different personality than comparable Chevy or Pontiac motors. The engine bay looks largely original, with a factory air cleaner up top, traditional Oldsmobile Gold engine enamel, and plenty of evidence of proper maintenance over the years. With your full-sized convertible, power steering and brakes were standard equipment, and this one includes a smooth-shifting TH400 3-speed automatic transmission and highway-friendly gears out back. A mellow dual exhaust system gives it just the right sound for its luxurious mission and with air shocks on the rear axle, it's ideally set up for parades with the homecoming queen perched on the rear seat. Interesting factory alloy wheels are a neat accessory and wear correct 225/70/15 Goodyear whitewall radials with a very period tread pattern. In terms of bang for the buck, full-sized convertibles like this are hard to beat. How can you not love its combination of style, open-air motoring, and V8 power? 1965 Oldsmobile Delta 88 Holiday Coupe Big Block Olds 425 V8. Was a project that my buddy bought and ended up not having the space for. I bought it after he had replaced the floors and welded in patches for most of the rusted through spots along the bottom edges of the car. It had been sitting in a field for a decade so it rusted at the bottom. Anyways, long story short, car is basically stripped now interior wise and ready for someone who wants to finish it. there is at least $3k or $4k between the patches metal work and the extra parts that come with the car. Motor runs good, and starts easy. all new hoses and points, plugs, wires etc. also have an edelbrock 4 barrel intake and a 1411 edelbrock 750cfm carb that comes with(came off a running 350, just needs to be put on and tuned). has new brake lines all the way around. comes with new brake shoes for all 4 corners, and 4 new wheel cylinders to round it out. come with a set of newer shocks. I think the heater box was repaired or replaced(not sure on that) all the glass is good I believe. Also comes with an intake manifold pan gasket for the new manifold. comes with brand new carpet, as well as almost all new seals for the trunk, doors and windows etc. and I believe all the trim is here as well. there may have been one piece missing but he bought it before I bought the car from him so it should all be there. it's sitting on newer tires as well I believe. Clean open title. It does still need work. Not sure on the miles 'cus the speedo doesn't work. There's a bit of rust through on the top of the gas tank along the seam. and there needs to be a couple holes drilled in the new floor metal to re-mount the seat(which will be taken care of before buyer picks it up). interior is completely stripped so it can be cleaned and possibly redone although it's not in the worst shape ever. Headliner is still in it and needs to be replaced or stitched up maybe. The car was originally bought with the intention of just being ratted out and driven. Original plan was for a Blitz Black paint job and a heavy foot. Once I got it, I toyed with the idea of finding new quarters and all that, and doing it up "right" but it's really just not one of my cars. I'm a Ford guy personally. I did find leads on all the parts but it's just not worth the money to me. If you're interested in this as a rat rod or for parts or as a beater you won't be disappointed, if you want to restore it and make it all slicked out and nice, you better have a lot of time and about $10k to drop on it. That being said, it runs and drives and really doesn't need much to be a fun rat rod. I urge you to ask any questions before you buy so I can try and find out from the previous owner. Local pickup only unless you are willing to set up shipping yourself. Thanks! *****DISCLAIMER***** ALL ITEMS FAIRLY AND HONESTLY DESCRIBED ALL ITEMS ARE AS-IS UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED NO RETURNS ACCEPTED UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED ASK QUESTIONS BEFORE YOU BID SHIPPING PRICES SHOWN ARE TO THE CONTIGUOUS UNITED STATES ONLY UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED INTERNATIONAL BUYERS MUST REQUEST SHIPPING QUOTE IMMEDIATE PAYMENT REQUIRED UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED ANY ITEM OFFERED WITH FREE SHIPPING IS TO THE CONTIGUOUS UNITED STATES ONLY UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED ITEMS USUALLY SHIP WITHIN 1 TO 2 BUSINESS DAYS OF PAYMENT, BUT WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO A PERIOD OF UP TO 3 BUSINESS DAYS TO CONFIRM PAYPAL PAYMENT LEGITIMACY AND TO PREVENT UNAUTHORIZED CHARGES OR IDENTITY THEFT

1973 Oldsmobile Delta 88 Royale Convertible Only 56,000 documented miles!!!! Wedgwood Blue, Black Interior & Black Top Original Rocket 350 cu in Engine, Automatic Transmission Extremely clean original condition with recent repaint in original factory correct color! Runs & Drives absolutely beautifully!! Starts right up. Idles great. Knocks down beautifully and purrs like a kitten. No smoke. Put her in drive, and the automatic transmission shifts through the gears unnoticeably. I have owned dozens of contemporary and classic cars and nearly every type of car, foreign & domestic, low end, high end, etc. and I can say that this is probably the smoothest and most comfortable car to sit in and drive that I have EVER owned! Everything operates as it should. With the exception of very few minor imperfections here and there, the car is extremely clean inside & out! Tires and top are only a couple years old and are like new. The paint is a quality repaint of the original color. Please see the pictures and pay particular attention to the photos of the engine bay! If you are looking for a Greenwich or Palm Beach Concours winner, this may not be your car, but, if you are looking for a solid, extremely clean original car that will turn heads everywhere & get you a few awards at local car shows, then look no further!! It has yet to leave the garage without getting a compliment (usually many!) before it returns home! The Wedgwood Blue is gorgeous and makes the car stand out from all the red and white convertibles that are out there. If you are considering this vehicle, you probably know that this one one of the last big Detroit convertibles of their generation. Classic car buffs agree that these cars are blue-chip investments with their worth increasing in recent years.... And projected to jump even higher in the next few years. Otherwise stated, maintain it and it will only increase in value... Perhaps significantly, sooner than later!! Also, this is a pre-catalytic converter car (cars sold in the U.S. from 1975 onward had to have them!) which makes it more desirable due to its better horsepower. MODEST RESERVE! Car is being sold AS-IS with no guarantee and/or warranty expressed, written or implied. The car is over 40 years old and as such, one should expect imperfections, etc. of a car this old. I am not a dealer and have included MANY pictures for the prospective bidder/buyer to review and satisfy themselves with the overall condition of the car. Mutually conveniently arranged inspections of the vehicle can also be arranged to further satisfy anyone as to the car's condition, but must be made prior to auction close. It is the bidders/buyers responsibility to take all reasonable measures to satisfy themselves with the condition of the car before entering a bid/buying the car. The car is currently registered in the state of CT and is safe to operate on the roads in CT. Connecticut does not issue a title on cars manufactured before 1981, so, this car does not come with a CT title. I do have an older NJ Title that I am happy to include. Included will be an official CT Bill of Sale.

Lots of room, a pillowy soft ride, and purring V8 power all make for a very unique driving experience that we'll never see again. With incredible preservation, this one will take you back to the great days of open-air cruising when American luxury made you feel like the king of the world. The color is called Silver Taupe and it looks just about right on this big Olds. Not aggressive, but rather sophisticated and elegant. It's also the car's original paint, and while it's not perfect, it is remarkably well-preserved for being more than 40 years old. You could give it a deep clean and a buff to really bring out the shine, but as it sits, it has a nice soft glow that makes you want to heat out west on a long road trip. Obviously with original paint the sheetmetal underneath is also original and in excellent condition and despite the era's reputation for excess, the Delta 88 is clean and chiseled without looking too baroque. A contrasting rub strip accentuates the car's clean flanks and a familiar Oldsmobile split grille up front was the corporate look during the mid-70s. Sure, there's some chrome, including a pair of bumpers as big as battering rams, but the overall presentation is restrained and trim. The black interior is also 100% original and shockingly well-preserved. Wide bench seats offer room for six and even the guys in the middle probably won't be complaining about space. There are no splits or tears in the seats, no major wear, just some very minor comfort marks that are probably inevitable. Neat trim on the doors adds a bit of interest to the otherwise monochromatic interior and even the faux woodgrain on the dash is pretty convincing. Power windows are a useful addition on any convertible and the AM/8-track radio provides reasonable entertainment if you happen to have some 8-track tapes lying around. The convertible top is also probably original and in good condition, and these big GM ragtops used a unique scissors mechanism that allowed for a full-width back seat as well as a glass rear window. There's a matching black boot for when the top is down and the trunk is outfitted with a correct rubber mat and full-sized spare. The 350 cubic inch "Rocket" V8 under the hood delivers plenty of power for effortless cruising and entertaining performance. No, these were never intended to be fast cars, but it has a graceful and inevitable feel and you just know that it was built to cruise all day at 80 MPH across the wide-open spaces. The engine bay is pretty original and not detailed for show, but there's plenty of recent maintenance, including a new radiator up front to keep it cool. It starts with a familiar Oldsmobile growl from the single tailpipe and idles smoothly enough that you can barely feel it through the steering wheel. As a full-sized car, the big Olds gets a TH400 3-speed automatic transmission and a 10-bolt rear end with 2.73 gears inside, so it's a superlative highway cruiser. The floors are in good condition for an original car, and it hasn't lost a bit of its impossibly smooth ride. Part of that is attributable to the cushy 225/75/15 Uniroyal radials, which have been fitted to the original wheels. With only three owners and a remarkable state of preservation, this Olds represents high-quality summer time fun at a very reasonable price.
