Naturally it shared the Nova's body and many of its mechanicals, but it had its own unique nose and tail, and, being an Oldsmobile, it had a little fancier trim than the Nova. It even borrowed the Nova's dashboard, but Olds added woodgrain trim to it for a more upscale look.The front grille sported Oldsmobile's trademark split "waterfall" grille design, round headlights set into square recesses, and parking lights directly below in the bumper. Body styles mirrored that of the Nova, starting with a 2-door coupe, 3-door hatchback or a 4-door sedan.1973 Oldsmobile Omega BroughamEngine choices were the standard Chevy-built 4.1L (250 cid) I6 with a 3-speed manual transmission standard, with a 4-speed manual or a 2- or 3-speed automatic optional. There were also 53 Doctor Oldsmobile Omega's built in 73 all with vin code KL3 All were built in Van Nuys California and were sold at Century Oldsmobile in Van Nuys California. This option was canceled in 1974 and Oldsmobile redesigned the omega and added the S option and also a base and upper-level Brougham. Not many changes at all in 1974 other than the 2-speed Powerglide transmission being dumped, the parking lights being relocated inboard below the grille instead of the headlights and a new rear bumper design which met the federal government's new 5-mph impact standards. I bought this car a year ago and have thoroughly enjoyed owning and driving it but alas living in New York City, it's simply impractical for me to hold on to it and leaving it up you to give it a new home. It's really fantastic on the open road and a pleasure to drive. The 5.7 Liter 350 starts up with no problem and drives fantastic. To the best of my knowledge I'm the 3rd owner and the 18,500 mile are original. It has always been garaged kept. It was repainted by the previous owner a few years back but the all white interior with black carpet is original. A new top was installed one year ago and a full tune up was done back in April. The battery is less than a year old. The original owner decided to add fender-skirts and the continental kit giving it a unique look that really makes it stand out in a crowd. I had a 3 inch lift kit and shock extenders installed to the rear of the car to compensate for the additional weight added by the rear continental kit. I added some modern touches by installing a remote door lock opener and passive alarm system as well as a back up camera with a monitor that piggy-backs on to the original rear view mirror. I bought this car last fall as we buy many classics and work on them over the winter to get them road worthy for the summer. Well it was a long winter and this one we never got to. The person I got it from told me it needed a rear end we checked it out but seams fine one came with the car and is still in the trunk if it turns out bad , The change is pretty strait forward and easy to do. We had the car shipped from Nevada and its in one of my garages right now and can stay there until someone makes arrangements for shipping or we can help you arrange shipping. The prior owner had the car running on a gas can hanging under the hood, we did the same put a battery in and it fired right up. we filled it with trans fluid and drove it onto our lift to ck it out. The engine runs perfect. It started right up with no noises and sounded great. the trans was slow to move at first and may need a rebuild or service but it did drive. The power brakes worked and so did the power steering. the power windows all rolled up and down last year but were very slow i am sure they will need to be cleaned. The body is Nice with no Rot there is No rot in the floors, rockers, fenders, quarters, roof, trunk, trunk lid, hood! there is a very little bit of surface rust but thats it! This model was the only year that 442 stood for 4 barrel, 4 speed and dual exhausts. 330 cubic inch engine with a one year only, dual snorkel air cleaner. Muncie 4 speed tranny and shifter with center console. Rare rear powered antenna option. This vehicle was delivered to the original owner on June 29, 1964, purchased from Linehan Olds in New Rochelle, New York.  This car was purchased from the original owner in April of 2009 and had resided at the same residence in the Bronx, NY its entire life.  This car went through a 3 year nut and bolt, frame-off restoration completed in September of 2012. Complete engine rebuild. This is a documented (protect-o-plate) matching numbers vehicle. The only modifications made to the original equipment include posi-traction rear and front disc brakes. Additionally, the suspension was rebuilt with up to date PST components. All original parts replaced are available and are included with this car. Additional parts including grille, wheel covers, deck plate, etc. are also included. The car was painted a 2008 Corvette burgundy paint that matches the Regal Mist that was on the original car.
