OK here goes! I have a beautiful 64 Savoy--car is a 39K mile survivor--when rescued it came with slant 6 three on the Tree--It was just begging for an update so here are the details-- Car is a rust free, garage kept Gem! It has lots of original paint --it has had some areas re painted--retains a fantastic "survivor look" to the exterior--under hood and engine bay was fully repainted when new engine was installed--under carriage is all factory paint showing--no undercoat hiding anything--as expected there is some very slight surface rust on some of the underside like gas tank straps etc--overall it is a time capsule on overall finish--all original trim was just polished and looks as new--all grill, bumpers head light doors etc are near perfect--retains all original factory spatter finish in trunk and there is no rust in truck floor or original lower quarters --it is amazing. Original jack instructions remain--repo trunk mat and repo carpet set --The interior is near mint condition--even the headliner , package shelf and visors are unbelievable--rear seat and all door pannels are factory original beauties--The front seat has had the main insert replaced with exact factory correct material and is perfect--all glass is like new--front suspension has been rebuilt and new disc brakes added--A 833 four speed has been rebuilt and features Centerforce clutch which hold all the power yet keeps reasonable pedal pressure--Under the hood is a brand new 440 built by Nascar legend Keith Dorton in Concord, NC It has a Comp hyd cam that sounds just right yet is very driveable--care was taken to get "the sound" without going too big on cam--On top is a new A&A reproduction Max Wedge intake completed with new Dorton tuned carbs and all new A& A corrct linkage, coil brackets etc and factory style air cleaners--Exhaust is Max Wedge header style manifolds run through a new TTI MW system with the factory style cut outs and 3 inch pipe all the way back--she sounds amazing! I can't stress enough how well this car runs and drives--Not a squeak or rattle in the entire car--doors close on all original rubbers like a new car--retains all original weatherstrip even the trunk This car is an easy driver with the 3.23 ratio fresh rebuilt Suregrip but will fold the mirrors back when called on--acceleration is stunning--Car is tuned to perfection and well sorted--would cross the USA tonight with Zero issues! Runs cool as a cuke with fresh factory style radiator--Zero heat issues!! I have clear NC title and want to sell this car--first person to see in person will walk away with it--PLEASE call me 704 244 6649 eastern time to discuss more detail and talk deal! Cash in person or bank transfer is the only method we will accept on payment --If you wire the funds I can overnight FEDEX the title so you may arrange for a carrier--I will store car in heated secure facility until your carrier can pick up--will assist loading and do all we can to make a smooth deal This is a really wonderful driver quality car --it is priced well below others on the market--the car was built by Mopar pros --it runs and drives better than you could ever imagine-- It is not perfect--the very nature of any "survivor ' means there are some thin areas on exterior paint, a small scratch or two here and there--the bottom of the fender extensions are the most solid best I have ever seen in an early B Body--I coated them with paint to preserve them--there is no coating hiding anything underneath--tops of the door panels have a little fading but no cracks and no soiling--under hood is very detailed and paint under there is perfect as great care and endless days went into very thorough professional prep You will love this car--I hope whoever buys it will drive it often and enjoy it like it was meant to be! Please call me to discuss--704 244 6649 Thanks so much! David in North Carolina Call me !! let's talk!! We believe this car has had 4 owners since new. Purchased from the original owner in the late 1980's by Reggie Jackson when it had around 18,000 miles. Reggie had the car resprayed by George Thomas (Mariposa Body) in the original color of Turbine bronze over a very clean body in the early 1990's. The car was then sold to Gil Garcia who kept the car until being acquired by the current owner about 10 years ago. The paint has held up very well with only a few little nicks from use and the chrome and trim still look great. All glass is nice. Interior is original with the exception of the carpet. Original seat foam was replaced with a foam kit from Legendary Auto Interiors and then the original factory vinyl seat covers were reinstalled. Auxiliary gauges were installed to keep tabs on the Hemi. Dealer installed AM/FM radio works. Factory tachometer and dash gauges still work. Interior is in very nice presentable condition.Instead of freshening up the original engine, the current owner decided to go with a 472 ci short block built by Dave Timmons from Mopar Engines West in Fremont, Ca. The upper end (heads, intake, etc.) are the original components. The carburetors are correct numbered 1967 units. MSD distributor with hidden box. TTI headers and custom TCI dual exhaust. The engine runs and sounds incredible and runs very well on pump gas. The engine currently has under 2,000 miles on it. The original 727 Torqueflite was replaced with a TCI Super Streetfighter Torqueflite good to 750hp. The transmission has approx. 100 miles on it. The original radiator was recently redone. Included with the purchase is the original shortblock, distributor, exhaust manifolds and transmission. The suspension is stock and has recently had the upper and lower control arms bushings replaced and the ride enhanced with Edelbrock IAS shocks. The rear is the original 8.75" Sure grip unit with 3.23:1 gears. Original front calipers have recently been rebuilt. Running 14x6 Magnum 500 road wheels as originally equipped with Redline radial tires. This GTX has been built to be a great driver. Original parts have been set aside to preserve them. Drives incredible. Runs and sounds awesome. Torque on demand. Excellent investment that can actually be driven.Features & Options AM/FM Stereo Automatic Transmission Chrome Wheels Coolant Temp. Excellent investment that can actually be driven. This vehicle is being sold as is, where is with no warranty, expressed written or implied. 1951 Plymouth Cranbrook American Classic. 62000 miles- 3 speed manual transmission- Rear wheel drive- 4 door sedan- Exterior color is Wedgewood Blue with Gray cloth interior- Partially restored- White wall tires- Straight shift- New brakes and tires. Note. See below for history.- The Plymouth Cranbrook was built by the Plymouth division of Chrysler from 1951 to 1953.- It replaced the Special Deluxe when Plymouth changed its naming scheme it was essentially the same as the Concord and Cambridge but at a higher trim level.- The name Cranbrook may have been taken from a city in British Columbia but it may also have been taken from Cranbrook Drive in Detroit this small street intersected with Cambridge Avenue. - Both streets are between 7 Mile Road West and 8 Mile Road West near the dodge Main plant. - Concord Street ran by the plant. This indicates that the cars may have been named after streets near Chrysler Corporation facilities.- The Plymouth Cranbrook as a car was conservatively styled designed to fit K.T. Kellers notion that cars be practical and allow drivers to sit upright while wearing a hat it was sold at a time when competitors favored the low and sleek look. - Differences between the 1951 Special Deluxe and the 1952 Plymouth Cranbrook are relatively few in number and scope with interchangeable glass and doors but different rubber seals lack of wood grain on the instrument panel plastic brake handle instead of chrome and other similar changes.- More substantial was having what had been the hood release handle function as the overdrive control. - Fender lettering and other badging necessarily changed as well. From a distance the cars were essentially similar.- Serious inquires only. Qualified buyers are eligible for Financing Nationwide Shipping and Extended Warranties.
