We are located in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains in east Tennessee “I am truly qualified to be called a Hill Billy”. I am 67 years old and work with my son Keith who is now 41. I am now retired and living my dream restoring, selling and improving classic cars. For 12 years I was an auto mechanics instructor at Tennessee Technology Center here in Athens. I am also a veteran of the US Army; I served as a Chinook helicopter mechanic, crew chief and instructor in the late 60s, I did spend a year in Vietnam. I’m Southern Baptist faith and proud to be an American. I’ve been married to the same good woman for 44 years. LIFE IS GOOD IN THE GREEN HILLS OF EAST TENNESSEE! Sorry, I do not show cars on Sunday! I worship on Sunday, I spend time with my family, I'm 67 years old and need some rest. I love cars and will help you 6 days a week, but not on Sunday. Sorry, I do not do videos. LIGHTS: The headlights work, tail lights work, brake lights work, the dome light works. GAUGES; The gas gauge works, the temp works, the oil works, the speedometer works, the tachometer is working. WIPERS WORK! CLOCK IS MOVING, BUT I WILL NOT GUARANTEE IT KEEPS GOOD TIME! RADIO: Its a nice aftermarket with CD. INTERIOR: No bad smells, no real wear on the interior, the front seats are faded, they look blackish, the tan is faded, we cleaned them and they look the same, the headliner is good, but has a couple of scuffs, the dash pad is good, it only has 1 tin crack about a inch long. DECALS: Nice and bright and not cracked up. ONE OF THE PLASTIC GRILL INSERTS IS CRACKED, its in front down low. PAINT: Good looking paint, the bronze color has a brilliant shine, no dents, no rust bubbles. Before you read all my paint description let me tell you my description is critical because you are not here to inspect and the little defects will not show up in pictures. The car has never had a deep buffing, we did go over it with a polish/cleaner, the paint has some specs and very tiny fish eyes in the clear coat. The body is pretty straight , the only little waves I see are on the top of the drivers door. Its a good looking paint job, just not perfect. TRADES: Please no trades, they never work out and are just too hard! I do check my emails several times a day. cell 423-506-8987 email: [email protected] PAPERWORK: I know what to do! THE CAR IS FOR SALE ON THE LOCAL MARKET. WHERE THE CAR IS LOCATED: The car is here at my garage in Athens, Tennessee. Athens is in east Tennessee, we are 50 miles south of Knoxville and 50 miles north of Chattanooga. Look at a Road Atlas and follow interstate 75 south from Knoxville. I live one mile and one turn from the interstate exit. My zip code is 37303. The closest large airport is Knoxville. Athens does have a good small airport, but has no commercial flights. Transport US OR EXPORT “I like Nations Auto Transport". They are located in Kansas City. Contact: Jim Page his office number is 816-295-6887 and his email is [email protected] MY AREA CODE FOR TRANSPORT: The area code for Athens, Tennessee is 37303. I live 1 mile off a major interstate (I-75) and 35 miles south of interstate 40, so transport is usually very fast. PAYMENT: I require a $250 deposit for a Buy Now or to hold the car.I will take paypal for the deposit, but not for full payment.Option 1: Pay the old school way face to face.Option 2: Pay by check, I will wait till the check clears, I have had a fake bank certified check. Option 3: The safest is to let our banks handle it, my bank is a member of the US Federal Reserve, this is called wire transfer. And its safe for both of us. WILL I HOLD THE CAR UNTIL YOU GET HERE TO LOOK OR HAVE IT INSPECTED? Its good business for both of us the take a deposit. A $250 deposit locks it in for you! I have held too many cars that people promise me they are going to buy and they never show up, their wife won’t let them buy it, they can’t get a loan or they just back out. Before you drive or fly a long distance you need to make sure the car is not sold. “The way I look at it is until you pay a deposit you’re just looking and dreaming”. INSPECTIONS: Please come look and be happy. All inspections are required to be done before the end of the listing. I listed this car as I see it as a 67 year old car restorer, please come and judge it for your self. I judge the car to my standards, this may not be yours. Paid inspectors have to be very critical to cover their back sides. I understand how hard it is to buy a car without looking, but I think you should come look yourself. I don’t like paid inspectors, I like for the person that is buying to inspect for themselves. I think its fine to send a friend to inspect for you. To make it clear, don’t hit the buy now button and then inspect, come inspect first! If you are not registered with ebay motors, I will work with you, "YOU CAN BUY DIRECT". BOTTOM LINE: Sorry, but my price is $11,999 I'm asking more on the local market. The game is not rocket science, ask a price and come down. It’s not fun to bargain over the cell phone all day long with people that live 2000 miles away and are not going to buy anyway. My firm price is the Buy Now price. I have sold every car I have ever tried to, so I’m not motivated to be bargained down. WILL BE VERY HAPPY TO SELL YOU THE VEHICLE WITH-OUT AN INSPECTION; YOU JUST HAVE TO HAVE A LOT OF NERVE AND PLEASE DON’T BE A CRY BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IS THERE A WARRANTY? No! Come inspect, judge and drive the vehicle all you want to because I do not offer a warranty on classic vehicles. Any descriptions or representations are for identification purposes only and are not to be construed as a warranty of any type, they are the way I see the vehicle. [email protected] 5527 Lakeview Road, Charlotte, NC, 28269, US 1977 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am SE 33,064 Actual Mile Trans Am Special Edition 400 Bandit Year: 1977 Type of vehicle title: Clear Primary color: Black Mileage: 33064 Transmission type: 3 Speed Automatic Engine: 400 V8 Interior color: Black Vehicle info If you're a car guy who's anywhere south of 100, or anywhere north of 30, chances are you know exactly where "east bound and down" came from. If you know where "east bound and down" came from, it's a good possibility you're very familiar with this 1977 Pontiac Trans Am Special Edition. And if you have fond memories of this Trans Am SE, I'm certain you know the meaning of both 'numbers-matching' and 'investment grade'. What's my point? If you're one of the growing number of enthusiasts rediscovering just how cool F2 Trans Ams are, but aren't quite sure you want to regress that far into youth, here's your chance to throw a little sophistication into the mix. Fully documented and ready to roll, this brassy black and gold 'bird isn't just a bold throwback to simpler times and cooler cars, it's a blue chip commentary on smart investment for the future. So, if you're into big block American muscle and giant Screamin' Chicken decals, order up some flutes of Coors, throw on the Cincinnati Pops Orchestra's Down on the Farm and toast your next classic! Before we jump head-first into this vintage Poncho's detailed description, I'll go ahead and break down both its VIN and cowl tag: VIN: 2W87Z7N1827582: Pontiac Motor DivisionW: Trans Am87: Sports coupeZ: 400 cubic inch V87: 1977 model yearN: Assembled in Norwood, Ohio182758: Production sequence number COWL TAG:77 - 1977 Model year2FS87 - 2: Pontiac Motor Division, FS: Firebird, 87: coupeN Assembled at GM's Norwood, Ohio manufacturing facility173722 The car's Fisher Body production number19B Black cloth interiorA51 - Bucket seats19L 19U - Starlight Black lower (L) and upper (U) exterior paint03D Assembled during the fourth week (D) of March (3), 1977WS4 - Trans AmBLK Secondary interior color: Black380793 Fisher Body time and date code. Assembled at GM's famous Norwood, Ohio manufacturing facility in March of 1977, this pristine Trans Am coupe was delivered to Mall Pontiac in Dayton, Ohio to begin a long, accident-free tour of the American Midwest. In the spring of 2013, the car's already solid restoration was freshened to better-than-new condition. And today, logging only weekend miles since that thorough dust off, this spectacular F2 displays a killer coat of correct Starlight Black urethane under Special Edition-exclusive full outlining stripes and an iconic Special Edition-exclusive Screamin' Chicken hood decal. Despite their minimalist brightwork, second generation Trans Ams were highly decorated cars that brought new meaning to the word 'details'. At the front of this 'bird, straight and glossy urethane hangs Special Edition headlight buckets and a small "PONTIAC" script between a correct "TRANS AM" call-out and traditional red arrowhead. Behind that urethane, a great looking "T/A-6.6" branded hood anchors like-new glass beneath painted stainless trim and exclusive Hurst T-tops. At the sides of that hood, correct "TRANS AM" call-outs and Special Edition B-pillar birds complement traditional fender vents, black-accented door handles and correct wheel spoilers. And at the back of the car, a rounded D80 trunk wing aligns a correct "TRANS AM" call-out above factory-fresh tail lights, a small "PONTIAC" script and original side splitter exhaust tips. Pop this tin indian's dramatic hood and you'll find a stout, 400 cubic inch Pontiac V8 that forms a correct 568557 casting number behind a matching 182758 partial VIN. Thanks to government-mandated emissions standards, performance had almost been legislated out of existence; and that left the Trans Am suffering a bit of an identity crisis. This 'bird's "XA" branded L78 combined the largest muscle car engine you could buy with Pontiac's proven "6X" head design and newfound handling prowess to create one of the fastest pony cars on the market. At the top of the smooth mill, a big Rochester carburetor and modern HEI distributor ride under a familiar Trans Am shaker. Below those components, warm GM Corporate Blue paint coats the entire block, while correct cast iron manifolds funnel spent gases into factory-fresh exhaust pipes. All the hard parts around the motor, from the fresh brake booster and rebuilt alternator to the functional Delco Air conditioning and fender plenum air tube, appear to be factory-correct. The car's authentic engine bay and hood are covered in a nice combination of GM Satin and Pontiac Starlight Black. And, as expected, there's pliable belts, clean hoses and a strong battery. At the bottom of this Trans Am, a clean undercarriage is comprised of straight floorpans that display thick undercoating, and a satin black chassis that retains a showroom-fresh luster. In the middle of that undercarriage, an original Turbo-Hydramatic 3-speed, which wears a correct 182758 partial VIN, sends power to a posi-traction differential and mild, 2.41 gears. Below that stellar powertrain, a rebuilt WS4 suspension, which includes power steering, thicker sway bars, better shocks and stiffer springs, combines with standard issue power front disc and rear drum brakes to provide quick stops and great handling. At the center of that suspension, an original exhaust system barks a deep, vintage roar through an original, transversely-mounted muffler. At the corners of that exhaust, restored snow flakes spin gold, Special Edition paint between 'gold bird' center caps and modern 225/70 BF Goodrich Radial T/As. And all the car's hardware and bushings, from its leak-free fuel tank to its correctly installed emergency brake cable, appear to be lucid and in good shape. Open this Pontiac's massive black doors and you'll find an original velour interior that wraps gold, Special Edition trim in a whole lot of old school style! The airy cockpit begins with thick seats that are firm, crisp and look every bit as nice as their rich name implies. Below those seats, like-new carpet, which is protected by thick rubber floor mats, centers a molded console on chrome power window switches. At the sides of that carpet, hard to find door panels hang small Pioneer speakers between correct gold emblems, bright chrome handles and optional power locks. Above those panels, a stain-free headliner stretches tightly around the car's aforementioned T-tops. In front of the driver, an optional tilt steering column spins a gold Formula steering wheel around a gold, engine-turned instrument panel, sliders for the car's air conditioning and a modern Kenwood CD player. And behind the passengers, large Pioneer deck speakers hang over a fully restored trunk. Like most of our investment grade transactions, this sale includes a car and so much more. This Poncho's lucky new owner will receive:Original factory paperworkAn original factory order formAn original dealer inspection formAn original owner's manualOriginal warranty paperworkOriginal Ziebart paperworkOriginal key knock outsOriginal dealer invoicesNotes from the original purchaseOriginal loan paperworkAn original titleOriginal insurance paperworkHistoric maintenance receiptsVintage marketing materialsA vintage CB radio Professionally restored from its factory Hurst T-tops all the way to its slick gold snowflakes, this fully documented Trans Am is an impressive, numbers-matching investment that's perfect for any Bandit enthusiast! [email protected] 5527 Lakeview Road, Charlotte, NC, 28269, US 1977 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am SE 28,084 Actual Mile Trans Am Y82 SE 400 V8 4 Speed Year: 1977 Type of vehicle title: Clear Primary color: Black Mileage: 28084 Transmission type: 4 Speed Manual Engine: 400 V8 Interior color: Black Vehicle info If you're a car guy who's anywhere south of 100, or anywhere north of 30, chances are you know exactly where "east bound and down" came from. Fully restored and ready to roll, this brassy black and gold 'bird isn't just a bold throwback to simpler times and cooler cars, it's a blue chip commentary on a smart investment for the future. So, if you're into big block American muscle and giant Screamin' Chicken decals, order up some flutes of Coors, throw on the Cincinnati Pops Orchestra's Down on the Farm and toast your next classic! Before we jump head-first into this tin indian's detailed description, I'll go ahead and break down both its VIN and cowl tag: VIN: 2W87Z7N2087602: Pontiac Motor DivisionW: Trans Am87: Sports coupeZ: 400 cubic inch V87: 1977 model yearN: Assembled in Norwood, Ohio208760: Production sequence number COWL TAG:77 - 1977 Model year2FS87 - 2: Pontiac Motor Division, FS: Firebird, 87: coupeN Assembled at GM's Norwood, Ohio manufacturing facility216410 The car's Fisher Body production number19N Deluxe Black vinyl interiorA51 - Bucket seats19L 19U - Starlight Black lower (L) and upper (U) exterior paint05A Assembled during the first week (A) of May (05), 1977WS4 - Trans AmBLK Secondary interior color: Black750293 Fisher Body time and date code. Assembled at GM's famous Norwood manufacturing facility, this pristine Trans Am began a long, accident-free tour of America's backroads in May of 1977. In December of 2013, the car, a solid, all-original survivor, was freshened to road-ready condition. And today, logging virtually no miles since that thorough dust off, it reflects fresh Starlight Black two-stage under Special Edition outlining stripes and an iconic Special Edition hood decal. And at the back of the car, a rounded D80 trunk wing aligns a correct "TRANS AM" call-out above factory-fresh tail lights, a small "PONTIAC" script and familiar side splitter exhaust tips. Pop this Poncho's dramatic hood and you'll find a stout, 400 cubic inch Pontiac V8. Thanks to government-mandated emissions standards, performance had almost been legislated out of existence; and that left the Trans Am suffering a bit of an identity crisis. This 'bird's chrome-trimmed big block combined the largest muscle car engine you could buy with Pontiac's proven "6X" head design to create one of the fastest pony cars on the market. At the top of the smooth mill, a big Rochester carburetor, a modern HEI distributor and thick Belden spark plug wires ride under a familiar Trans Am shaker. Below those components, warm GM Corporate Blue paint coats the entire block, while correct cast iron manifolds funnel spent gases into factory-fresh exhaust pipes. All the hard parts around the motor, from the fresh brake booster and rebuilt alternator to the big radiator and fender plenum air tube, appear to be functional and reliable. The car's clean hood and engine bay are covered in a nice coat of GM Satin Black paint. And, as expected, there's pliable belts, clean hoses and a strong battery. At the bottom of this fully sorted F2, original, Red Oxide floorpans ride a garage-fresh, Satin Black chassis. In the middle of that chassis, a date-correct Borg Warner 4-speed sends power to a familiar GM 10-bolt and mild, highway-friendly gears. Below that stellar drivetrain, a rebuilt WS4 suspension, which includes power steering, thicker sway bars, better shocks and stiffer springs, combines with standard issue power front disc and rear drum brakes to provide quick stops and great handling. At the center of that suspension, a modern exhaust system barks a deep, vintage roar through an X-shaped crossover and a correct, transversely-mounted muffler. At the corners of that exhaust, striking snowflakes spin gold, Special Edition paint between 'red bird' center caps and modern 225/70 BF Goodrich Radial T/As. And all the car's hardware and bushings, from its leak-free fuel tank to its correctly installed emergency brake cable, appear to be lucid and in good shape. Open this Pontiac's massive black doors and you'll find a deluxe vinyl interior that wraps gold, Special Edition trim in a whole lot of old school style! The airy cockpit begins with thick seats that are plush, crisp and look every bit as nice as their rich theme implies. Below those seats, like-new carpet centers a molded console on a familiar Hurst shifter. At the sides of that carpet, hard to find door panels feature bright chrome hardware. Above those panels, a stain-free headliner stretches tightly around the aforementioned T-tops. In front of the driver, an optional tilt steering column spins a gold Formula steering wheel around a gold, engine-turned instrument panel. And behind the passengers, a Space Saver spare hides in a fully restored trunk. Professionally freshened, from its factory Hurst T-tops all the way to its slick gold snowflakes, this fully sorted Trans Am is the perfect investment for any Bandit enthusiast! This is the kind of car you show at the nationals on Saturday, then drive to work on a sunny Monday morning. Are you in the market for a clean, late model F2?
