[email protected] 5527 Lakeview Road, Charlotte, NC, 28269, US 1967 Pontiac LeMans World's Finest Frame Off Restored Lemans Convertible 326/285 HP V8 PS PB Year: 1967 Type of vehicle title: Clear Primary color: Blue Mileage: 13718 Transmission type: 2 Speed Automatic Engine: 326 V8 H.O. Interior color: Black Vehicle Info Like the Catalina that came before it, the LeMans was one of those cars Pontiac aced right out of the gate. Eventually, thanks to GM's continuous improvement and consumer's continuous support, the marque became one of the strongest brands in automotive history. And at one point, with a full list of body styles, options, trim grades, color combinations and mild to outrageous engines, the challenge became picking a platform which optimized variety and livability. Whoever filed the order form for this investment grade drop-top probably came as close as you can get to having it all. Its original, high output V8 is a go-to heavyweight for both stoplight brawlers and pony car enthusiasts. Its original Powerglide transmission is as smooth as it is reliable. Its super slick Tyrol Blue on Black color combination literally defines the word classic. And just last year, it took home Best of Show at the AACA meet in Hermitage, Pennsylvania. If you're in the market for a top notch example of one of the coolest muscle cars ever produced, this impressive LeMans is just your style! In addition to historic dealer documents and a stack of restoration receipts, the sale of this wide-track beauty includes an original Protect-O-Plate. Here's a look at how the car rolled in to Kimmel Pontiac in Erie, Pennsylvania: VIN: 237677PXXXXXX2 - Pontiac37 - LeMans67 Convertible7 - 1967 model yearP - Assembled in Pontiac, MichiganXXXXXX - Sequential production number COWL TAG:03D Assembled during the fourth week (D) of March (03), 196767 1967 model year23767 Pontiac (2) LeMans (37) Convertible (67)PON Assembled in Pontiac, Michigan2262 Sequential unit number223-B Black interiorF-2 Tyrol Blue (F) paint that's complemented by a Black (2) top PROTECT-O-PLATE:223 Black interiorF2 Tyrol Blue (F) paint that's complemented by a Black (2) top237677PXXXXXX - The car's VIN464530 - The car's engine unit numberYPT 326 cubic inch high output V8 (YP) that's backed by a 2-speed Powerglide (T) transmission1 G Optional equipmentW - UnknownMB150 2-speed Powerglide transmission Born at GM's recently repurposed Pontiac Assembly, this awesome rag-top is the beneficiary of a 7-year rotisserie restoration that massaged every square inch of its sculpted profile into pristine, show-worthy condition. The car's transformation began in 2006, when its current owner stripped its solid body all the way down to bare metal. With that body smooth and clean, a thick layer of primer was buried in two coats of correct Tyrol Blue Deltron. That Deltron was carefully dusted in PPG 2021 clear. And today, this top notch Poncho is as a spectacular muscle car which combines the best aspects of storied tin indian performance with the gratuitous fun and old school style that only a classic convertible can provide! Tough, understated and attractive, this LeMans perfectly defines Pontiac's lasting legacy of tempering sophistication with aggression. The front of the car is dominated by segmented and stainless-trimmed grilles, which are anchored between stacked T3 headlights, a broad chrome bumper and restoration-fresh marker lamps. Above those grilles, a serious "PONTIAC" script perfectly complements a familiar, Satin Silver arrowhead that's adhered to a conservative hood. At the sides of that script, expressive 'coke bottle' fenders hang dent-free wheel trim and arrow-straight rocker guards around familiar GM door handles. On the outsides of those fenders, red "326" emblems combine with stainless quarter trim and chrome "LeMans" scripts to lend a little bit of class to the car's performance-worthy profile. Above those emblems, tinted glass and highly polished trim prop up a correct, power-operated roof. And behind that glass, a stainless-trimmed valence hangs a second "PONTIAC" script and unassuming tail lights between a second chrome bumper and small "LeMans" emblem. Raise the car's long steel hood and the first thing you'll notice is an original, high output 326 that was rebuilt by Automotive Machine Service in Cranberry, Pennsylvania. Less obvious, of course, is the stalwart engine's correct 86339 casting number, March (C ) 9th (09), 1967 (7) casting date and 285 horsepower-exclusive "YP" build stamp. Originally found in the LeMans and Firebirds alike, this awesome Turquoise mill was Pontiac Motor Division's creative answer to GM's corporate displacement rules. A big 4-barrel carburetor transitions wind from a Satin Black, single-snorkel air cleaner to a factory intake that's bolted down over factory internals. 10.5 to 1 compression is sparked by a traditional, points-style distributor, which jolts fire through fresh Packard TV R Suppression cables. Cooling is provided by a beefy GM radiator, which sends water around a correct fan via pliable hoses and old school tower clamps. Exhaust is funneled through a nice pair of fully restored manifolds. And everything, from the car's mirrored valve covers to its reproduction Delco battery, is exceptionally well done and looks fantastic! Logging few miles since their noble rebirth, this drop-top's smooth floors and straight frame - which was donated by a rust-free parts car, are completely devoid of significant issues and major defects. The stout 326 twists torque to an original, 2-speed Powerglide, which spins a correct Safe-T-Track rear end. At the sides of that rock-solid drivetrain, 2-inch, true-dual exhaust connects the aforementioned manifolds with an H-shaped crossover, throaty Magnaflow mufflers and polished stainless tips. At the sides of that booming soundtrack, a professionally restored suspension features a beefy sway bar, factory power steering and correct power drum brakes. At the corners of that suspension, a quartet of 14-inch steelies spins G70-14 Firestone Wide Oval Super Sport redlines around full, "PMD" branded wheel discs. And, as it sits, this Pontiac has no major leaks of any kind, as new fluid lines and a fresh fuel tank retain their restoration-fresh shine. Open this convertible's freshly finished doors and you'll find a correct Black interior that's sporty yet classy. Front-and-center, firm bucket and bench seats feature bright chrome trim, cool pleated covers and era-correct lap belts. The engine's vitals are displayed by a rebuilt gauge cluster, which integrates round-faced dials just to the left of a correct, reverb-equipped radio. On the floor, like-new carpet anchors Pontiac-branded floor mats below stainless-trimmed foot pedals. At the sides of the car, fresh door panels hang chrome handles and subdued metal trim around bright LeMans crests. In front of the driver, a satin-spoked steering wheel spins a black rim around a Turquoise, Pontiac-branded column cover. And behind the passengers, a spotless trunk sandwiches a correct jack and a full-size spare tire between a new mat and fresh decklid decals. Not surprisingly, major provenance backs up this classic's factory-correct authenticity. Owing a clone is a way to have a faithful tribute to these extremely rare muscle cars while also saving huge money. Plus, when it looks as good as this one, it's up to you to decide if you want to share this car's secret. Getting a GTO right is no easy task. For starters, the stylish and dent-resistant Endura front bumpers were exclusive to the GTOs and not shared with any other mid-size Pontiacs in 1970. The functional dual-scoop is another unmistakable icon of this muscle car. All of this is set off with a bright mint turquoise paint to grab everyone's attention. When showing up or showing off, enthusiasts know The Judge is much more than just getting the highly stylized decals accurate on the fender and the trunk. This package was about adding more street-smart aggression, so getting one of these right has to include extras like the wild colored side stripes and the rear spoiler. The Rally II wheels are a hallmark of these muscle cars because they have a stylistic flair with the PMD (Pontiac Motor Division) center cap that gives them a hint of industrial inductiveness. Inside, the deep black bucket seats are all about sporty business. The chair's dark vinyl matches the color of the door cards, center armrest, roof, and dashboard, but the interior is not a monochromatic experience. There is wood appliqu' on the center console and surrounding the gauge cluster. Plus, 1970 was the first year when Pontiac's performance cars would feature a section of billet aluminum trim a touch many other clones often miss. The steering wheel is actually a later unit out of a Trans Am, which gives it the comfort of a smaller diameter, and better grip. This tribute to The Judge comes with plenty of convenience options such as power steering and air conditioning (factory in this car, but needing parts to complete it). Looking for the tachometer? It's outside, mounted on the hood. It was a head-up display option for racing, and quite frankly, also just another way the designers back then were showing how they were always thinking about cool showpieces. Underneath the hood is the stout numbers matching 350 cubic inch V8 motor. The three-speed automatic transmission and front disc brakes makes the coupe good for cruising, but the performance exhaust upgrade will announce to everyone not to mess with this Judge. Plus, there's an extra feeling of confidence from behind the wheel of these tribute cars. This Pontiac coupe came down the same assembly line in between its GTO brothers, but it likely didn't spend its first few years making jackrabbit starts at each traffic light like most GTOs did. Instead, this one just has all the appearance of a cherished original at a fraction of the price. Pontiac used to have fun in its advertisements about how "The Judge can be bought." It all holds true with this tribute clone...just for a lot less. 1970 Pontiac GTO for Sale 1970 Pontiac GTO for Sale Stock # 2922-CHA Charlotte Showroom 5400 West WT Harris Blvd Charlotte, NC 28269 Local/International: (704) 598-2130 Toll-Free: (866) 542-8392 Hours: Tues - Fri: 9AM - 6PM EST Sat: 9AM - 5PM EST Email: [email protected] Atlanta Showroom 213 Thornton Rd Lithia Springs, GA 30122 Local/International: (678) 279-1609 Toll-Free: (877) 367-1835 Hours: Tues - Fri: 9AM - 6PM EST Sat: 9AM - 5PM EST Email: [email protected] Dallas/Fort Worth Showroom 5400 Sandshell Dr Fort Worth, TX 76137 Local/International: (817) 764-8000 Toll-Free: (855) 877-2707 Hours: Tues - Fri: 9AM - 6PM CST Sat: 9AM - 5PM CST Email: [email protected] TERMS OF SALE 1. By taking a Lemans convertible and giving it a burly 400 cubic inch V8, a 4-speed, and a top that goes down, this car is instantly transformed into the must-have ragtop from the peak of the muscle car era. We love tribute cars simply because they're guilt-free ways to have some fun and most folks will never know the difference. This Carousel Red GTO Judge tribute will certainly generate a lot of attention at shows (and on the street, for that matter) and with that in mind, they really paid attention to the little stuff. Getting the bodywork straight was a priority, so it looks fantastic in every possible way. The finish is miles deep and impossibly glossy, the perfect background for the Judge stripes and logos. And if you want accuracy, check out the Ram Air IV hood, the color-matched bumpers, and the wing out back, all of which add to the Judge's performance look. It's also got all the expected GTO logos in the correct places, those cool Pontiac chevron-shaped marker lights, and just enough stainless trim to keep it from being orange overload. You won't be sneaking around in this Poncho! Looking at the white on black interior, it's hard to believe it was restored almost 10 years ago. Thanks to careful maintenance and excellent workmanship, the bucket seats still look great, and remain supportive enough for long-distance driving. There's also a center console with a Hurst shifter sticking out of it, perfect for the GTO performance vibe, and the original dash is in good shape with factory gauges (including a factory tach!), and a set of auxiliary dials underneath. That three-spoke steering wheel is similar to the original. There's also an AM/FM/CD stereo head unit, and the installation is clean, so no hacked up dash. The white power convertible top was probably replaced about the same time as the rest of the interior so it looks equally good and folds itself into the well without any fussing. The trunk is nicely finished with spatter paint, a reproduction mat, and a matching Rally II spare. The engine is a 1977 vintage 400 cubic inch mill from a Trans Am, but it's been pretty thoroughly reworked to better suit the Judge's personality. 1969 closed-chamber heads add compression and flow better than the later units, so it's definitely got a snarl to it, and with a big 4-barrel carb and aluminum intake, throttle response is crisp. It looks pretty stock with chrome valve covers and Pontiac Turquoise paint on the block itself, and it's fitted with desirable upgrades like power steering and brakes, making it simple to drive. The 4-speed manual transmission racks through the gears with an indestructible feel and with fresh Flowmaster mufflers, you'll relish the soundtrack at every shift. The undercarriage is in good order with recent parts like shocks and some brake components, and factory Rally II wheels give this Judge tribute just the right look, especially with staggered 245/60/15 front and 275/60/15 rear BFG radials. A very nicely done tribute car that gets all the major things exactly right: high impact visuals, a top that goes down, a burly V8, and a shift-it-yourself transmission. Isn't that what muscle cars were all about? [email protected] 5527 Lakeview Road, Charlotte, NC, 28269, US 1967 Pontiac LeMans World's Finest Frame Off Restored Lemans Convertible 326 V8 Year: 1967 Type of vehicle title: Clear Primary color: Blue Mileage: 13527 Transmission type: 2 Speed Automatic Engine: 326 V8 H.O. Here's a chronological list of everything our sale includes:An original Protect-O-PlateAn original Owner's ManualAn original warranty bookletFolding top instructionsA Consumer Tire GuideA vintage dealer brochureRestoration booksA stack of restoration receiptsA binder of restoration photos It's been quite a while since we've seen such a unique Pontiac. Like the look of the GTO, but maybe a bone-stock restoration isn\'t quite what you had in mind? Are you a fan of performance but don\'t want to give up a comfortable interior to get it? If you answered yes to either question, you might want to give this slick 1967 Pontiac GTO a closer look. The electric blue paint job isn\'t going to keep you out of sight, but if it\'s attention you want, this car is pretty good at getting it. Finished a few years ago, it has an undeniable street fighter look that\'s matched by the shiny paint and scooped hood to give it a very aggressive look. Finish quality is about what you\'d expect for a car that was designed and built to do combat, nice enough to be admired but it isn\'t a trailer queen by any stretch of the imagination. The lines between Lemans and GTO get kind of blurry on this car, but it\'s not priced like a Goat, so no harm there and those three little letters on the quarter panels seem to keep the kids in their Hondas at bay. Chrome bumpers sparkle against the bright blue paint while all the stainless appears to be in good original condition. The bucket seat interior has obviously been customized, but the tasteful cloth inserts on the original bucket seats add a softer look that works just fine. Custom embroidery on the seat backs remind everyone about this car\'s identity and you have to be crazy to not dig the Chief Pontiac\'s likeness on the rear bench. Carpets and door panels are older but still in decent shape and the floors are protected by heavy-duty rubber mats. The exterior color has been pulled inside as well, covering the dashboard, seat trim, and even the steering column, and the wood-rimmed steering wheel warms things up a bit in the otherwise cool interior. The instruments also appear to be original and there\'s an AM/FM/cassette stereo in the dash that makes it easy to head out on the road. The trunk remains unfinished, but wears period-inspired spatter paint. A 400 cubic inch Pontiac V8 delivers the kind of thrust you\'d expect from one of the most vaunted names in motoring. Dressed up with chrome valve covers and a matching air cleaner, the wide V8 looks fast under the hood. It sports the usual performance part upgrades, including an Edelbrock intake and 4-barrel carburetor as well as a set of long-tube exhaust headers. There\'s a thick radiator up front keeping things cool, along with a big fan, and it sounds pretty gnarly when you key it up. A TH350 3-speed automatic transmission has quick reflexes that work well with the engine\'s wide torque curve to make it feel responsive at any speed, and there\'s a 10-bolt rear out back. The chassis isn\'t detailed for show, but it isn\'t hiding under a thick layer of undercoating, either, so you know exactly what you\'re getting with this Poncho. Polished Torque Thrust wheels accentuate the wicked stance and carry staggered 205/70/15 front and 235/70/15 rear blackwall radials. A neat car that colors a bit outside the lines. If pure stock isn\'t your thing but you like the look of a GTO, then this might be a wise choice. Call today! This vehicle is located in our Atlanta showroom. 1967 was a good year for Pontiac, and while the GTO comparisons are inevitable, we invite you to look at this Lemans on its own merits. It\'s nicely restored, and while there was surely some temptation to build yet another GTO clone, they instead chose to stick to the factory play book and kept not only the original 326 cubic inch V8, but also the handsome and unusual Signet Gold paint. Personally, I like gold cars like this, they\'re the perfect combination of elegant and sporty, and no automaker captures that better than Pontiac. Stacked headlights, the pointed hood, and those flying buttress C-pillars make this Lemans look like a much more expensive car (which, I suppose it does, since it shares all its sheetmetal with the GTO). During the makeover, they took their time and got those big quarter panels nice and straight before laying down a nice coat of Signet Gold, which is this car\'s original color (code 62). Without the hood scoop, the Lemans looks a little less raucous than the GTO, which many folks seem to appreciate, and the understated elegance of this car is hard to resist. The black vinyl roof was probably replaced when the paint was done and shows extremely well with no fading or wrinkles that would suggest trouble underneath. All the chrome is in good shape and even without the badges, you\'re probably going to have to resign yourself to folks calling your new Pontiac a GTO anyway. No matter, an A-body rose by any other name is still flat-out awesome. Or something like that. The Lemans totally nails it with the interior, too, offering handsome black buckets and a luxurious-looking dash and console. The seat covers, carpets, door panels, and many other of the interior pieces were restored or replaced during the refurbishment, and it still looks outstanding. The usual under-dash gauges were installed up near the center console, along with a white-face tachometer, all of which are a welcome upgrade over the Lemans\' rather basic factory instruments. The woodgraining on the dash and center console is pretty convincing and warms up the interior more than you\'d expect, perfectly capturing Pontiac\'s unique combination of luxury and performance. You\'ll note that the shifter now shows an overdrive position, thanks to the 200R4 4-speed automatic behind the engine and a Jensen AM/FM/CD stereo head unit provides a modern soundtrack to go with it. The trunk is unfinished, but solid and includes a spare and jack, just in case. The engine is the original, numbers-matching 326 cubic inch V8 which is no slouch in the performance department. Freshened, detailed, and rebuilt to stock specs, it runs superbly and moves the Lemans with easy V8 torque. Pontiac Turquoise paint looks great in the engine bay, and it\'s pretty OEM from the air cleaner to the exhaust manifolds. Flowmaster mufflers with turn-downs appear to be one of the few modifications to the powertrain, although 4-wheel disc brakes are a very welcome upgrade. Recent receipts document more than $8000 worth of work to the mechanicals, and with those big 17-inch REV wheels, the discs are shown to great effect and the oversized 235/40/17 front and 275/40/17 rear performance radials offer impressive grip. I don\'t know about you, but to me this Lemans looks like a heck of a lot of Pontiac performance for pennies on the dollar compared to some of its siblings. Call today! If you don\'t need those three little letters on the side of your Pontiac convertible, this 1965 Lemans convertible is an ideal choice. After all, how can you go wrong with a bright red convertible with a growling V8 soundtrack? 1965 was a great year for GM convertibles, and with the stacked headlights and sleek sheetmetal, few were more attractive than the mid-sized Pontiacs. As I said, the Lemans uses the same sheetmetal as the legendary GTO, so you get the look at a serious discount. The cowl tag says this car originally came in boring old beige, so when it was restored they wisely chose something more appropriate and you just can\'t go wrong with bright Montero Red. The work was done a few years ago, but it\'s holding up well thanks to durable modern paint and careful ownership that made sure this car got the treatment it deserved. Those long, long quarter panels were straightened and smoothed, the doors fit well, and it\'s actually kind of refreshing to see LEMANS block letters on the flanks. A white pinstripe highlights the fender line and kick-up behind the doors, and someone spent some cash getting the chrome and stainless into shape following the paint job. Nothing looks better in a \'60s cruiser than Pontiac\'s Parchment upholstery. Not white and not tan, it\'s elegant and inviting, particularly with those unique diagonally-stitched seat covers that were a Pontiac trademark. Black carpets make it easy to maintain although they\'re starting to show their age a bit, and it looks like the door panels were replaced at the same time. The Lemans got the same four-gauge instrument panel as its sibling, although these gauges only include the basics: speed and fuel level. On the other hand, it is equipped with somewhat rare factory A/C, which is fully functional and the original AM radio still lives in the center of the dash. The trunk is outfitted with reproduction mat and spare tire cover, plus an original jack assembly and a matching parchment boot for the top. And speaking of the top, it\'s power-actuated and features a crystal clear rear window and a snug fit. Pontiac\'s entry-level V8 displaced 326 cubic inches and was rated at 250 horsepower in stock form. This one, which has obviously been freshened at some point, carries a newer Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetor and intake manifold so it\'s a bit stouter than a stocker. Chrome valve covers and an open-element air cleaner give it a GTO-like performance look and there\'s correct Pontiac Turquoise paint underneath. Power steering and brakes are welcome additions to a heavy cruiser like this and it tracks straight and stops well. A TH350 3-speed automatic transmission spins the original 10-bolt rear end and the exhaust system, while a little older, still has a pleasant V8 burble out on the road. It\'s quite clean underneath, so you don\'t need to worry about what\'s hiding out of sight, and newer shocks give it the perfect ride for cruising. Sporty Rally wheels with 205/70/14 BFGoodrich T/A radials are in excellent condition and look great. All the looks of the GTO, plenty of performance from the smooth-running V8, and a top that goes down all add up to a great Pontiac ragtop that represents something of a bargain. Call today! If you\'re going to build a tribute car, why not build the most iconic muscle car of all time: the Pontiac GTO Judge. By taking a Lemans convertible and giving it a burly 400 cubic inch V8, a 4-speed, and a top that goes down, this car is instantly transformed into the must-have ragtop from the peak of the muscle car era. We love tribute cars simply because they\'re guilt-free ways to have some fun and most folks will never know the difference. And if you want accuracy, check out the Ram Air IV hood, the color-matched bumpers, and the wing out back, all of which add to the Judge\'s performance look. It\'s also got all the expected GTO logos in the correct places, those cool Pontiac chevron-shaped marker lights, and just enough stainless trim to keep it from being orange overload. You won\'t be sneaking around in this Poncho! Looking at the white on black interior, it\'s hard to believe it was restored almost 10 years ago. Thanks to careful maintenance and excellent workmanship, the bucket seats still look great, and remain supportive enough for long-distance driving. There\'s also a center console with a Hurst shifter sticking out of it, perfect for the GTO performance vibe, and the original dash is in good shape with factory gauges (including a factory tach!), and a set of auxiliary dials underneath. That three-spoke steering wheel is similar to the original. There\'s also an AM/FM/CD stereo head unit, and the installation is clean, so no hacked up dash. The white power convertible top was probably replaced about the same time as the rest of the interior so it looks equally good and folds itself into the well without any fussing. The trunk is nicely finished with spatter paint, a reproduction mat, and a matching Rally II spare. The engine is a 1977 vintage 400 cubic inch mill from a Trans Am, but it\'s been pretty thoroughly reworked to better suit the Judge\'s personality. 1969 closed-chamber heads add compression and flow better than the later units, so it\'s definitely got a snarl to it, and with a big 4-barrel carb and aluminum intake, throttle response is crisp. It looks pretty stock with chrome valve covers and Pontiac Turquoise paint on the block itself, and it\'s fitted with desirable upgrades like power steering and brakes, making it simple to drive. The 4-speed manual transmission racks through the gears with an indestructible feel and with fresh Flowmaster mufflers, you\'ll relish the soundtrack at every shift. Isn\'t that what muscle cars were all about? Call today! This vehicle is located in our Charlotte showroom. For more information, please call (704) 598-2130 or toll free (866) 542-8392. We know a few badges do not make a GTO, but there\'s so much to love about this 1967 Pontiac Lemans that you can\'t blame it for trying. Its original, matching-numbers 326 is under the hood and with that stance it\'ll be a hit at every show it attends. Clean is the right word to describe this sleek red hardtop. Obviously someone invested big in the bodywork, because it\'s straight enough to be measured with a micrometer. Some of the trim and the original Lemans badges were shaved and GTO badges installed in their place, but there\'s no harm in that. The hood scoop adds a dose of Pontiac sportiness and the stacked headlights were one of GM\'s better designs. The bright red paint is a big improvement over the original Platinum Mist and the sleek hardtop wears it well with a correct black vinyl top as specified on the cowl tag. That paint is beautifully buffed to a high shine which probably took hours and hours of laborious wet sanding. They clearly invested in the chrome, too, since it all shines like new (better than new, most likely) and while experts will note those aren\'t correct GTO grilles, the vertical strips of trim looks awesome. Unique taillights have a Pontiac look about them and it\'s nice to see that the car hasn\'t been over-dressed with accessories, wings, or stripes. You won\'t see many GTOs with bench seat interiors, but that\'s OK because in this Lemans, it\'s all new. The seat covers have simple vertical pleats as original and they match the door panels. Pontiac\'s European influence shows most clearly in the instrument panel, where four separate round pods house all the main gauges behind a simple 3-spoke steering wheel with bright aluminum accents. The original AM radio remains in place and while there aren\'t a lot of options, it\'s clear that someone invested a lot of time and money in making it one of the nicest A-bodies around. The ultra-clean trunk shows off its total lack of rust, further evidence that this car has always been someone\'s special machine, Lemans or not. The original, numbers-matching 326 cubic inch V8 under the hood looks and drives like it has been freshly restored. Turn the key and it\'s running with a crisp burble from the exhaust, and anyone who glances under the hood will be pleased to see Pontiac Turquoise paint and chrome valve covers, along with a bright Edelbrock air cleaner. Power brakes and steering and a TH350 3-speed automatic transmission make it easy to drive and the dual exhaust with glasspack-style mufflers will keep you entertained on the road. Like the trunk, the floors are clean and with a slightly lowered stance, it sits right. 17-inch Torque Thrusts from American Racing wear appropriately-sized 225/45/17 performance radials that totally fill the wheel wells and add to the performance stance. Forget about pedigrees and names and you\'ll probably fall in love with this Lemans like we have. Sleek, beautifully finished, and with plenty of muscle, it stands above mere badges to be a wonderful car to drive that will attract a lot of attention at shows. Call today! Perhaps it is a mistake to think that the horsepower wars were over by 1972, because this 1972 Pontiac Lemans GTO tribute makes a compelling case for great looks and high-performance. The distinctive styling offers a definite go-fast look and if you\'re a Pontiac fan, this car is a great way to have some top-down fun without a massive investment. This two-owner car has led a good life, spending the last 41 years in garaged comfort whenever it wasn\'t out on the road. As it was from the beginning, the Lemans and GTO shared a lot of DNA, so bumping this one up to full Goat spec wasn\'t a major challenge. The bright red paint was finished about six months ago and looks absolutely fantastic, offering a great shine and finish quality that really stands out. There are a lot of guys who like the look of the later cars, and it looks particularly aggressive with the body-colored bumper/grille assembly and ram air hood. They left off the wing on the back and didn\'t bother with decals and stripes, instead trying to keep this bright red ragtop from looking over-wrought, and the clean lines and unadorned flanks definitely have their own special appeal. The chrome is good, particularly the distinctive Pontiac rear bumper, but other than that, there isn\'t a lot of brightwork on a \'72 GTO. The black and red interior is a cool twist on the original styling, with factory buckets wrapped in fresh seat covers, matching two-tone door panels, and even bright red floor mats. However, the black dash and carpets keep it from being red overload and the combination is dashing yet sophisticated. There\'s fake wood on the dash and the round gauges and engine-turned panels were long-time Pontiac trademarks. The steering wheel is original, as are the gauges, but they\'re in good order and totally serviceable as-is. A newer AM/FM/CD stereo head unit lives in the dash and feeds speakers in the door panels for better sound than the original setup. This car had factory A/C and it could be hooked up again with a new compressor and a few fittings and the power convertible top is in great shape and offers a contrasting black vinyl boot. Open the trunk and you\'ll be pleasantly surprised to find that it\'s fully carpeted and includes a matching fifth wheel and tire assembly. The 400 cubic inch Pontiac V8 is no slouch in the horsepower department, and definitely isn\'t a wheezing 1972 smog motor. With a 4-barrel carburetor, Pontiac Turquoise paint, and a twin-snorkel air cleaner, it looks quite correct under the hood and runs superbly. An Edelbrock intake and carburetor are the lone modifications, although the heads were recently treated to a fresh valve job last October. It starts easily and runs well with big torque available at any speed, and it sounds awesome with a brand new reproduction dual exhaust system that terminates in quad tips. A heavy-duty TH400 3-speed automatic feeds the original rear end, and you can see evidence of the good life everywhere you look underneath. Shiny Cragar wheels are the right choice on this \'70s hot rod and carry 225/70/15 Firestone radials. With just two owners, the second of which bought it in 1973, this car has a solid history and offers a ton of fun. Not a restored show car, but an awesome cruiser that\'s fun and attractive and a pleasure to own. Call today! This vehicle is located in our Atlanta showroom.
