That number includes every variety from those rusted to the ground with trees growing out of the backseat to ones like this, one of the world's finest examples of 2-Door Safari Custom. The paint, chrome, and stainless on this car are perfect. During restoration, every single one of the 403 pieces of stainless and chrome were hand polished and triple-plated, respectively. The two-stage paint is brilliant red and white that shines with incredible depth. There are absolutely no scratches, scuffs, marks, dings, or chips in any of the paint or bright work. With a fully photo-documented restoration, beginning with a rust-free original Safari, extreme attention to detail is displayed in every aspect of this wagon. Every element of the completely custom interior is of the highest standard from the custom Corinthian leather upholstery to the factory original and NOS components that make the dash look showroom new. Each working feature from the lit hood spears to the gauges to the back up lights works as expected. "There is not an item on this Safari, not a staple or a screw, that has not been carefully selected and thoughtfully installed." This 1957 Pontiac Safari Two Door Custom is the perfect example of a timeless classic coupled with modern technology. Its factory air-conditioning has been updated to operate like a brand new vehicle. The 455 CI Pontiac engine provides an abundance of power while the four-wheel power disc brakes deliver quick stopping ability. The custom, high-end sound system delivers quality sound coming from speakers hidden behind factory style, molded door panels. This is a fine looking wagon with a wealth of mechanical features making it extremely comfortable to drive. This 1957 2-Door Custom Safari is the definition of eye-catching. hello here is a 1975 Pontiac Grand Safari (9 passenger station wagon) its been stripped and ready to be repainted.it came from colorado, then to illinois to a pontiac collector traded a 1979 seville the seller in NYC said it had 14k miles it arrived and had 114000 miles so it got traded for this station wagon I stripped it to be repainted ,bailed out a paint and body guy during the mortguage crisis, he found a cougar and ran off not ever starting nor completeing the prepaid paintjob. It has to got or end up being parted out, I did see a similar wagon with rot holes thru the roof almost $3500,00 this ones rot is only the rocker panel and lower rear quarters. 1957 Pontiac Starchief Safari wagon four door! Finished in Grabber Blue and white 2 tone paint. It has a rebuilt Chevy 350 cubic inch V8 and a Turbo 350 automatic transmission to move it along. Under the hood you'll find an Edlebrock carburetor, chrome valve covers, chrome air cleaner, chrome alternator, MSD 6-A ignition! This wagon is a great alternative to the famous Chevy Nomad, but is much rarer. Fewer than 2,000 four-door models were sold. Inside it has newer black door panels and black carpet. The seats and headboard is made from older denham fabric. All the lights and the wipers work, and it drives fantastic down the road, a few squeaks but nothing out of the norm. It sits just right, and sounds like a true hot rod with dual exhaust! The car includes Indian Chief Hood Ornament, 12 bolt rear end, electric wipers, electric windows, painless wiring harness, front disc brakes, tilt steering wheel, shaved door handles, door poppers (the front two work with remote), forward tilt hood, Dakota digital STR2000 dash, CD player. Paint has a few small dings and paint chips, most of which are on the right front fender area. No major rust that I can see, except for one spot on the front left corner of the hood where the paint has bubbled a little (see pictures). Frame off restoration in 1992 (estimated $7,000+ in parts added at this time). The electric window motors are either under powered or the window felt around the window causes too much resistance. The driver’s side electric window has no problems at all, it just seems to be the other three, the windows go down great, they just need a little help on the way up. The Dakota digital dash has a loose wire, or is picking up some interference from a sensor, on occasion the blue lights on the instrument cluster will flicker. I tried to fix the flickering dash light by replacing the alternator and replacing the ignition wires, the flickering still occurs. I believe I have touched on all the quirks with the car. I would be happy to answer any questions you may have. The car starts up, runs good, and is a fun car to drive. The car has power steering and the brakes work great. The car has been sitting in my backyard under a car cover for the majority of the winter. This is an extremely rare opportunity to purchase a fantastic custom automobile. Included with the purchase is a 1.5 inch thick binder of including: photos of restoration process, independent appraisal (from Pacific Automobile Appraisers), instruction manuals, and many receipts. A detachable roof rack used to carry surfboard is available if interested (it is in much need of restoration). This a California car, it had a frame off restoration around 1992 and has been in California its entire life from what I am aware of. Anybody is more than welcome to come and view this car in person or send an appraiser to give them a further insight to its condition. The current mileage on the odometer reads AROUND 16,xxx I am unsure of the actual mileage since the instrument cluster was replaced and is not the original. The vin# is C757H7724 Any further questions could be addressed by messaging me. I have a few additional photos if need be I can email. Please note that vehicle is for sale locally and may be removed at any time. The winning bidder will pay a $500 non-refundable deposit within 24 hours of the end of the auction. The balance to be paid within 10 days. If the winning buyer wishes to fly into either: Santa Rosa, Oakland, San Francisco, or Sacramento airport, I can arrange to have the car dropped off. Should the winning buyer decide to have the car shipped, he/she will be responsible for arranging shipping - I will, of course, fully cooperate as far as meeting with the transport co. to drop off the car/ pick up, etc... Interested buyers are more than welcome to come in person to view the car - just message me here to arrange. Thank you for your interest.

1957 Pontiac Star Chief Custom Safari 2 Door Station Wagon Tri-Power Up for auction is a nice 1957 Pontiac Star Chief Custom Safari 2 Door Station Wagon. There were only 1292 of these wagons produced in 1957 the last year for this 2 door Nomad type body, and very few have survived making these cars quite rare. This car is not a show car but a very nice driver plus car. It was restored years ago and remains in nice condition. There is no visible rust or rot, this car spent a good deal of it's life on the west coast. The glass is all good, the stainless and trim is all good and complete, the rear bumper chrome is poor but not pitted. It has recent tires, brakes and tune-up, it starts, runs and stops great. The interior is in nice condition with no rips or tears, the carpet in the rear cargo area is new. This car could easily be turned into a show car for far less than it's value, it would make an awesome resto-mod or you can use it as is. Take this car to the local cruise night and it's sure to be the only one there. Below I've posted the NADA and Hagerty prices for the 1957 Pontiac Safari Station Wagon, our price for this wagon is well below both average values and this is an above average car. 347 cu. in. SAFARI 1 - Almost rust free, very solid, was painted red, but should be white/blue, factory air with all parts, 316 v8 automatic, has standard brakes, and a clutch peddle ??? looks factory?? but I have never seen a Safari with a standard transmission, this did have a floor shift tranny at one time, now automatic. I have not taken the seat covers off, but seats look to be in good original condition, blue/white leather. I have the rest of the parts, chrome is in good driver condition, gas tank is clean, engine and engine bay is painted and looks great. This is a great car for an original restoration. SAFARI 2 - This was my driver before I found the red wagon, it has had new brake lines, brakes, fuel lines, Edelbrock carburetor, aluminum gas tank, then the master cylinder got hard so I started to work on the body. I put a new rocker on the driver side, and patched a rust spot in front of the wheel, along with some spots inside the body, I bought floor patch panels but never got them put in. Body is in good shape, but does need the patch panels put in. Seats need to be covered or redone. Firewall has been shaved of the heater and the holes filled, but could be put back to original with out too much work, I have the original parts. SAFARI 3 - This is an unmolested original wagon that need everything. Floors are bad, tire well bad, rockers and in front of wheel. I bought a good tire well, rockers, patch panels form door to the wheel well, and floors can be bought on ebay. Doors are in good shape, roof has a dent in the back by rear gate from a tree that fell on it, but the roof is not rusted. Engine is missing the heads and poor shape, I have another complete engine and tranny to go with this, should be rebuilt. Steering link was cut so steering wheel does not turn the wheels but it does roll and can be manually guided. SAFARI 4 - This one need complete restoration, body condition fair, doors no rust, some rust in floors, wheel well, glass is out. Seat frame for the front is there, back seat is in fair shape. Engine is shot, tranny is there, I do have a 400 Pontiac engine and a rebuilt turbo 350 that would go with if wanted. This one will be harder to load, the A arms and front suspension is missing. I have been buying and saving parts for these to rebuild when I retired, well that was 10 years ago and not much has been done, I need my garage back. I have been a Pontiac person and have owned 36 and 11 Safaris. I hate to let them go but it is time. There are 3 Safari titles and a 2 door title.

Very Rare 1958 Pontiac Custom Safari Pontiac Station Wagon. Only around 1800 of these Custom Safari's were made. The exterior trim was upgraded and different than the standard wagons in 58. Excellent candidate for a full restoration to have a car you rarely see! All the trim is present with the exception of the Safari emblems on the front fenders and part of a Safari emblem on the tailgate. Rust in the usual places as seen in the pictures. No rust in the headlight brows. There is a rust hole in the drivers side in the front and a hole in the spare tire carrier in the rear section under the deck panel. I do have the rear seat which is out of the car. It will need redone like the rest of the interior. I have a title, but it is still in the name of the last owner from many years ago, and was never endorsed. I bought the car from his son. Engine is complete but does not turn over. The radiator is missing. A fellow collector I know has most of the parts this car needs and they could possibly be purchased. Original 14" wheels with original hubcaps. Body is real straight overall. This is a very cool Wagon! No Trades, Full cleared payment must be paid before car removed. Call Tim 303-517-9875. Thanks!

Rare station wagon model of the classic 1965 Pontiac Bonneville. Owned since 1965 by one family, only three drivers in its 50-year history. Body and interior in good condition. Drive train, body, and interior were fully restored in the 1990's and car ran well for many years. Fuel system and brakes are now in need of overhaul, and rear window motor needs replacement. Ideal for the home mechanic with a soft spot for these old Pontiacs or for the serious classic car buff.
