For sale is a used 4 door Honda Accord EX sedan. This car is dependable, in good condition, and should continue to live-up to the expectations a person expects out of a Honda. The driving experience is characterized by: a smooth drive, quiet cabin, great visibility, great handling, and gets between 25-27 mpg on average. It is an EX model so it has some popular options such as: front wheel drive, 4-cylinder VTEC engine, automatic transmission, moon roof, power seat, mutli-disk CD player, heat, dual air bag, side air bag, cruise control, & power windows/locks. It has been a time-proven/trustworthy automobile that has been in no serious collisions. This car has had 2 owners, my father bought the car new & sold it to me in 2009. We have both taken great care of the car, and it has been regularly maintained. I bought the car with roughly 120,000 miles on it, and much of those miles came from highway driving. The mileage I've put on the car stems from: driving to-and-from college, driving from Illinois to Massachusetts 3 times, & driving to work (Lowell to Leominster). A key point being this car has done very little city driving. I am selling the car because its make sense to at this point in my life. I am not a person who likes to sell a car that has been dependable for so long, but the smart choice is to look into buying a new car or a used car with lower mileage. This car is going to need some future maintenance, which should be expected when you have a car with over 200,000 miles, and I do not have the time to cater to these fixes. To expand upon the prior paragraph, it should be known that I am not interested in making more money than the car is worth. I have considered the future needs of the car when I decided upon my pricing of this car. My pricing is based on estimate costs provided to me by mechanics. It should be noted that none of the fixes are urgently needed, and some of which are possible DYI job that could make this car a tremendous bargain.TIME LINE: (I have documents to account for many of these fixes)Beyond 5 years:-The front end of the car has superficial exterior damage. This bumper was broken by my father when he cracked it on a concrete stop while pulling into a parking spot. The damage to the hood & grill came from a low speed collision when a friend drove into the hitch on the back of a truck which stopped to take a sudden left hand turn (or so I've been told).Within the last 5 years:-I replaced a broken motor from the driver's side automatic window 5 years ago and have no further problems with it.-The serpentine belt, water pump, and driving belts were replaced before I moved to Massachusetts just under 5 years ago (at 123,654 miles).-The A/C does not work, and will require more than an A/C recharge to fix. I tried the recharge and the A/C only lasted for a single summer.Within the last 3 years:-I had the front two control arms replaced.-Dealership replaced the airbag (SRS) per a recall on the front airbag system.-Oil pan gasket was replaced-Rear brakes replacedWithin the last year:-New air filter-Fuel injector cleaner administered-The back left door handle broke during last winter and I have a replacement handle which I can provide free-of-charge. Its a relatively easy fix, and a DIY job, but I had limited time this summer to attempt the replacement. My efforts were impeded by a single screw which will require a pneumatic screwdriver (of which I don't own). -At my last oil change I was told that I need new front brakes, & three of my tires could use a replacement.-A check engine light went on 2 months ago and is reading the code P1457. Refer to pictures to view the suggested fixes.-At the beginning of August I tried to repair some progressive rusting around the wheel well by using some bondo, paint primer, and spray paint. The rust has reappeared since that point. -I would like to be paid with cash when the transaction is made or by Cashier's Check. We meet, I give you the keys, you pay me in cash or by Cashier's Check. I am very willing to meet you at a local car mechanic's, of your choice, so you can have the car looked over before me make the transaction.
