I purchased the car from the previous owner who resided in Corona del Mar California and used the car for jaunts up and down the PCH. I have enjoyed the car for the past 5 years and my restoration business is rolling out alloy roadsters now, so it is time to part with the FIA. This car is docile enough to drive in traffic or around town cruising on a date night, but potent enough for a spirited drive down a country lane, and canyon road, or a track day. A great deal of effort was made to make sure that the details on this particular car were as correct as possible from the body fittings and badges, to the gauges, handbrake, seats, and pedal assembly. This car drives as good as it looks. It is ready to get in and go and has covered right at 12,442 miles since its construction; ensuring that it is well-sorted and ready to go but not tired and in need of attention. This car is ready to go and will provide a rewarding driving experience rivaled only by the real thing! This car is often mistaken for the real thing and has won awards at every show it has competed in. I am selling this car from my personal collection and am not a dealer… I have several contacts for both national and international shippers if needed. Inspections are encouraged and welcomed by appointment where the car is located in Louisville 40223. It’s been a real pleasure to own and drive, thanks for looking!

Buying a car can seem like a tough process to navigate. Before you even go shopping though, you should iron out your financial details. How much of a car can you afford? Where will you get the money, if you don't have cash? What does your credit look like? If you aren't paying cash, then financing is the first step in your car buying adventure. Nailing down your credit rating is the place to start when looking to financing as an option to buy a car. Your credit score will direct your next steps, so understanding where you stand financially is the only way to know which type of financing you should be researching. The types of financing available vary according to your credit rating, and so do the interest rates you will pay. A lower credit rating usually means that you will pay more in interest for your auto financing. A majority of car buyers don't know, however, that independent car dealers offer loans as well. We can help you secure the loan you need no matter what your circumstances are. Ok... How do I know it's a good car? With over 16 years in the car business we have the best experience in buying great condition vehicles. We only acquire vehicles from large companies, Porsche Finance, BMW Finance, etc. We do not buy from wholesale companies. The vehicles we get are normally One Owner Carfax Certified vehicles that have never been owned in the northern states where they can be exposed to bad weather. You may also choose to have your vehicle inspected by a professional certified company. Can I get the vehicle inspected? Absolutely, we encourage you to have your vehicle inspected by a third party to confirm the vehicle’s condition. We will be more than happy to transport the vehicle for you to the local inspection location of your choice as long as the location is a certified service company. Simply, give us the location and contact info for the company that you have pre-arranged the inspection with and we will have it delivered and picked up at no additional cost to you. Can you help me with shipping? Yes, we can arrange shipping for your new vehicle. In fact, our clients are worldwide, and we ship to all regions and continents and ensure your delivery is above and beyond industry standards. Get a Vehicle Shipping Quote! Does my vehicle have warranty? Most vehicles that we sell are still covered by their factory warranty. In addition, we also offer extended warranty packages. Get More Information Here! Do you offer financing options? Yes, we will work with you to get the best financing rate on your vehicle purchase. Get Approved Today! Buying or Leasing, which is right for me? We have a few details on buying vs. leasing so you can help make a more educated decision when making your next auto purchase. Please Contact Us Today! I live out of state, but want to fly in and drive my new car back home. Great! A majority of customers do this exact same thing. Please make arrangements to fly into DFW International Airport or Dallas Love Field. We will be more than happy to have you picked you up at the airport. Simply forward us your flight itinerary and we will be there waiting for you. What if my car's not paid off? That is no problem at all. In fact, most people still owe money on their current vehicle. We will trade in the vehicle as normal and we will handle paying off your car for you and dealing with the title work. Cobra Chassis Instruction Book, Shelby factory invoice, and period brochures. Comes with original tools, tool bag, jack, soft top, side curtains, and tonneau cover While working as an aerospace engineer at Douglas Aircraft in 1964, John Hector began his search for a Cobra. He had driven a classmate's Cobra after college and had become entranced by the prospect of owning one himself. He inquired after a few used cars, until he came upon a new 289 Cobra in Utah. Walter Larson Ford in Murray, Utah was anxious to move their Cobra before winter set in, so a deal was struck and on December 23, 1964 Hector boarded a plane and set off for Utah to collect his car. The original sticker price was $6465, and the final sale price was only $5299. Quite the deal indeed. Unfortunately they had not beaten the onset of winter in Utah, and snow had started to fall. So Hector did what any young American would do with a new Cobra in the snow, he fitted a set of rear winter tires and began the 800 mile drive over the mountains to his parents' house in Portland Oregon. He was turned back at the Cascade Mountains because he had inadvertently planned his trip during what would become known as the "The Christmas Flood of 1964", the worst storm the Northwest had seen in recorded history. Thankfully Hector and the Cobra survived the journey, and they made it to Portland on Christmas Day. Hector would bring the Cobra home to Anaheim, California, and would go on to use the car as his daily driver for the next two years. During that time he would compete in a few autocross events in LA, San Diego, and Portland. In 1973 the car would be repainted in its original red. That same year Hector would move to Oregon, and the Cobra would be set aside, and driven infrequently, except for occasional local vintage sports car rallies. CSX 2337 has never been in an accident, and the aluminum body remains completely original. The engine, transmission, and rear end are original to the car. Even the original spare tire, which has never been used, is included with the car. For Sale: My 1964 Shelby 289 FIA Cobra manufactured by Unique Motorcars. I bought this car 4 years ago and do not know the history before that. The gentleman that I bought it from didn't know much about the car. The car is in great condition and hasn't been abused. I've been over every nook and cranny and can find no evidence of damage small or large. The car is in great condition. I have spent the last 4 years restoring and bringing this car up to a high standard. The 1965 Ford 289 engine and 1965 Ford 4 speed top loader transmission was professionally built by Monkey Wrench Automotive in Bend, OR. Monkey Wrench is our local hot rod shop and does incredible work. Monkey Wench went though the entire car and found no problems or defects. The black paint is in great shape. On a scale from 1-10, it's a 9 with only a few small rock chips in the normal places. The leather seats are in great shape with a great patina. The carpets are good but are showing some wear. I replaced the dash and gauges. I bought the dash from Unique Motorcars. It has the cut out under the steering wheel for more leg room. I covered the dash in bull hide and installed all new Stewart Warner gauges laid out as they would have been on the original 1964 289 FIA cars. The car is equipped with 5 point racing harnesses for both the driver and passenger. I located and installed functional aluminum front brake ducts that were made to original specs. They were very difficult to find costing $500. The wheels are true knock off wheels and the knock off spinners appear to be magnesium with "HALIBRAND" printed on them. I don't know if the spinners are original but they look cool. The tires and wheels are in great condition with little wear. This car drives and looks great. You can drive down the highway at 70 mph with one hand on the wheel. It steers and tracks great. The engine runs and sounds fantastic. The transmission shifts crisp and smooth with the Hurst Competition Shifter. The car is very fast and handles very well in the corners. If you are looking for great car that will last you forever, this is it. But be prepared to have everyone ask you about the car. even those who know their Cobra's will ask is it a real Cobra. The car is equipped with:-1965 Ford 289 325 HP 11 to 1 compression ratio that runs great on pump gas-1965 Ford 4 Speed Top Loader transmission with Hurst Competition 4 speed shifter-Front Wilwood disc brakes and rear Jag inboard disc brakes-Adjustable front and rear coil springs-Jag IRS rear end-Holley 4 barrel carb-1965 Cobra aluminum intake manifold-1965 Cobra aluminum valve covers-Battery cut off switch mounted to the rear bulk head and rear mounted battery-Lucas replica headlights (Halogen)-Oil cooler with braided hoses, AN fittings, and a very rare Shelby remote oil filter assembly-Le Mans gas filler cap and aluminum splash shield-20 gal gas tank-True knock off wheels with Halibrand spinners This car is registered in Oregon as a 1964 Ford CN. the title is clear and in my possession. A $1,500 non-refundable deposit through PayPal will be due within 48 hours after close of auction. This amount will be deducted from total price. Car will not be shipped until full payment CLEARS the bank. Buyer is responsible for all shipping costs and arrangements. I will make the car available for pick up or shipping. (FYI, I shipped a car last year from Texas to my address for $900, enclosed trailer) I will pick you up at the local airport and you can drive it home, that's what I would do. I'm sure I've forgot something, please message me with questions.

The fact that the Daytona was also drop-dead gorgeous was simply icing on the cake, and with this 1965 Shelby Daytona replica by Factory Five, you can have 90% of the experience for about 5% of the price. I'd call that a pretty good deal. Professionally built, this Daytona coupe is a very accurate representation of the original, right down to the Kamm-back tail and color combination. The body is fiberglass, not aluminum, but that also means it's durable and easy to repair and to be honest, it's a lot easier to live with if you actually want to drive the car. Fit and finish are great, worlds better than any of the real Daytona coupes back in the day. Details like the covered headlights, white side pipes, and heat extractor in the middle of the hood are all authentic details that make this replica really pop. The stripes and gumballs give it a track-ready look and even the sliding Plexiglas side windows accurately capture what driving these cars was really like back in the mid-60s. It's pretty accurate inside, too, with '60s style bucket seats and a minimalist approach. The bright blue harnesses are a good idea in a car that generates this much speed and the wood-rimmed steering wheel is a nod to '60s sensibilities, even on the track. The flat-faced dashboard is just how they did it on the real cars, although this one offers a full set of AutoMeter dials that look a bit like vintage Stewart-Warner gauges. One feature you'll be thrilled about is air-conditioning, which wasn't available in the originals, but was sorely needed with those minimalist windows and almost zero insulation. This one is nice and comfortable even on the hottest days, making it a supercar that you can drive anywhere, anytime. The forward-canted shifter looks correct and manages a 5-speed manual, so there's a fairly deep overdrive gear for easy highway cruising. There is no radio, but you'll hardly miss it with those bellowing side pipes at full blast and there's even reasonable storage behind the seats. Believe it or not, the original Daytonas were powered by Hi-Po 289s (not 427s as commonly believed), so the 331 cubic inch 5.0 stroker motor here is the right choice. The engine is dressed appropriately with a Cobra dress-up kit, including a finned air cleaner and matching valve covers. The rest is heavy-duty hardware that makes it reliable as well as comfortable. There's a big radiator up front, a serpentine belt drive system, and hydro-boost for the 4-wheel disc brakes. Underneath, the custom-built chassis offers A-arms with coil-overs up front and razor-sharp handling. It starts easily, idles well, and doesn't get hot or cranky on warm days, so it's a lot more livable and useable than the original, and heck, despite the 17-inch Halibrand style wheels and low-profile 275/40/17 front and 315/35/17 rear tires, it rides pretty darned well. You couldn't duplicate this car with a year of your time and $80,000, so why not indulge yourself now with this beautifully built replica that works every bit as great as it looks. Take a look at this ’66, offered for sale by Blue Marlin Motors USA! This car was assembled right here in our own city of Stuart, Florida by a company named Integrity Coach Werks, Inc. They built some of the most accurate Cobra replicas in the industry, and you could configure them with nearly any engine and transmission you wanted – from a 289, all the way up to a 427… or more. This car has a 350 cubic inch Chevrolet V8 – an LT1 from a 1992 Corvette, to be specific. It sports 4-bolt main bearing caps, a .020” overbore, and was completely balanced and built by a professional shop right up the road in Jensen Beach, FL. The engine easily puts out over 350 horsepower, and you can feel every one of them when you step on the gas. Mated to the LT1 is a 4-speed 700R4 automatic transmission with a shift kit. Yes, this Cobra has an automatic. All you have to do is put it in drive and shove your foot to the floor for many miles of fun and enjoyment – and you can do it with your favorite co-pilot at your side. It also sports a Corvette rear end with independent rear suspension and 3.23 gears, making it quick off the line, and a great low-RPM cruiser for highway use. Drive it anywhere! The polished HRE wheels on the corners of this car are a nice touch that modernize the appearance, but stay true to the original lightweight mantra of the Cobra. Terms and Conditions Payment Methods: We accept Certified & Cashier's Checks or Wire Transfers, in US Dollars only. Deposits: All Deposits are Non-Refundable. Carroll Shelby's CSX2000 started it all, "the first Cobra". Without CSX2000, it's probably a good bet, there would be no Shelby's today. It's probably another good bet, that without the help of the original owner this Cobra CSX2032, there may not have been anymore Cobra's made after CSX2000. As Carroll Shelby was getting ready to start production of the Shelby Cobra, Lance Reventlow was closing down Reventlow Automobiles Incorporated (RAI), the builder of the legendary Scarab Sports Racer. A deal was struck between Reventlow and Shelby, now Shelby had a plant to build his Cobra's, RAI's former manufacturing facility at 1042 Princeton Dr, Venice California. Shelby also hired master fabricator Phil Remington from RAI and also acquired a 1956 Fiat Series 306/2 GrandPrix transporter. that was used by Reventlow. Shelby leased the building from 1962-1967. During that time he won the 1965 World Sports Car Championship, beating Ferrari, the only American car manufacturer to do so. This Ebay offering is Shelby Cobra CSX2032, also known as the Lance Reventlow Cobra. All Cobra enthusiasts, please take the time to review this listing in total. The ad is a culmination of a painstaking two year research project. The project was completed via internet searches, document discoveries, correspondence with Cobra experts and former owners, and provenance supplied by all involved. This is the real story of CSX2032, backed by actual period documentation, prior owners statements, current owner disclosures, never before seen SAAC documentation, chassis documentation, and race photos never before made public.Take note that many other documents in our possession are proprietary, and will be displayed to serious buyers only. Race history for CSX2032 was unknown until now. NOTE: A special thanks to the Shelby American Automobile Club (SAAC), Ned Scudder-Cobra Registrar for SAAC, William Hansen and all other Cobra owners and club members who have assisted in establishing the historical chronicle of CSX2032. Without your participation, the complete factual narrative could never have been properly documented. You have our deepest gratitude. PLEASE CLICK ON THIS LINK TO VIEW TWO INVOICES FOR CSX2032. ONE IS FROM AC CARS IN ENGLAND TO SHELBY AMERICAN, 10/24/1962. THE OTHER IS FROM SHELBY AMERICAN TO LANCE REVENTLOW, 1/2/1963 : http://s514.photobucket.com/user/redeuce/library/CSX2032%20INVOICES The value of a Shelby Cobra is determined by the following factors: Documentation, supporting historical paperwork, ownership history, race history, production numbers, vehicle condition, original body, and original chassis. The minuscule total production run of the CSX Cobras dictates that any of these vehicles has great value. However, certain examples have significantly more value. Shelby Cobra CSX2032 is one of these examples. Currently, CSX2032 appears to be the most historically provenanced, lowest production number Shelby Cobra for sale worldwide. PLEASE CLICK ON THIS LINK AND VISIT THIS WEBSITE. THIS WEBSITE WAS CREATED TO DOCUMENT THE COMPLETE HISTORY OF CSX2032: www.csx2032.com There were 998 true original Cobras manufactured in the Sixties. Only 73 were fitted with the 260 Cu. In. engines. CSX2000 was the prototype chassis. CSX2032 is the 32nd scheduled Cobra for manufacture, and one of only 73 produced with the 260 Hi-Po engine. 75 were scheduled for production. However, CSX2044 and CSX2074 were held up in production. They were eventually delivered with 289 engines. Serious buyers, be patient, the ad is lengthy. However, this was necessary in order to provide the complete history of this rare vehicle. The ad documents CSX2032 from original delivery date with as delivered options, and details the complete ownership history until present. Any modification or upgrades by each owner is also revealed. In addition, various links have been inserted into the ad. Please click on them, both above and below. The links feature everything from copies of documents to period photos supplied by former owners. Take note that many other documents in our possession are proprietary, and will be displayed to serious buyers only. This Cobra is a legitimate piece of American Muscle Car History, and the story can now be told, with the respect that CSX2032 deserves. CSX2032 is available for inspection any time Monday- Friday, with a scheduled appointment. Please email us through Ebay or www.csx2032.com for an appointment. CSX2032 As displayed on the factory invoice, delivered in white with red interior. Base price of $5,995. Optioned as follows: aluminum rocker covers ($57), racing tires ($175.38), racing oil pan ($129.50), aluminum intake manifold ($95.95), competition ignition system and tach drive ($188.25), Holley carburetor ($58.95), sway bars ($126), single hoop roll bar ($152), seat belts ($20.95), front bumper guard ($35.95), rear bumper guard ($35.95), sun visors ($9.95), chrome air cleaner ($15), wind wings ($20.95), and rust inhibitor in the cooling system ($1.25), plus sales tax and license, for a total price of $7,493.75. Note that the vehicle was manufactured with many of the competition options, but also every other option available. Of the 73 total vehicles manufactured with the 260 Cu. In. Hi-Po engine, 62 were built as street cars. CSX2032 is one of these cars. The vehicle was ordered with certain competition options, but also several luxury options that would not be present on a Factory Competition Car. The fact that CSX2032 is somewhat of a one of a kind example as optioned, correctly labeling the car was difficult in the past. Some years back, SAAC updated the description of CSX2032 to Factory Comp Optioned, or Factory Competition Optioned Cobra, which accurately reflects the true essence of the Shelby. Also, contrary to rumor, CSX2032 is not the first off the assembly line with the 289 engine. Documents verify that the first 73 Cobras manufactured were fitted with the 260 Cu. In., 260 HP Hi-Po engine. Documents, date of manufacture, and VIN number sequence render it impossible for CSX2032 to have been a 289 car. LANCE REVENTLOW As verified in SAAC Registry documents, CSX2032 was billed from AC cars to Shelby American on 10/24/62, and shipped to Los Angeles. Also verified by SAAC documents, invoiced to Lance Reventlow on 1/2/63. Reventlow, the only son of Woolworth heiress Barbara Hutton, was a well known Formula One racer. Through his corporation, Reventlow Automobiles, he was also the distributor of the Scarab, a revolutionary open wheel race car designed by Tom Barnes and Dick Troutman. The Reventlow ownership is the most debated subject concerning this vehicle. There are four major versions exist: 1) Reventlow purchased and raced the car; 2) Reventlow purchased the car at the request of his father, to lure half brother Richard home from Europe; 3) Reventlow purchased the car to give Carroll Shelby’s business a boost, because they were friends and had business dealings concerning the Scarab venture; 4) Reventlow purchased the car, not telling his family, and had it put in storage. Truthfully, no one will ever know if any of these scenarios are true, or if there is another explanation. Most participles in the story have passed away. The speculation and guess work is a moot point. The fact that Reventlow was the original owner of CSX2032 is undeniable. Documents in the SAAC archives include invoice from AC Cars to Shelby American, Shelby American invoice in his name, and an invoice in Reventlow’s name for plates and registration. Invoice includes check numbers. It matters not how long Lance owned the car, how much he drove it, or if he did or did not race it. The documents prove positively that Lance Reventlow was the first owner of CSX2032, and there lies the provenance on the vehicle. There is absolutely no positive proof to the contrary. Therefore, this can be properly referred to as the “Lance Reventlow Cobra.” UPDATE AUG 3rd 2015: http://www.cnn.com/2015/08/03/motorsport/motor-racing-scarab-auction-bonhams/index.html You can also reach CSX2032'S Website by the domain: LanceReventlow.com LanceReventlowCobra.com SCU LOTUS CENTRAL FOREIGN CARS According to SAAC documents, CSX2032 was acquired by a company named SCU Lotus Central Foreign Cars in Michigan. Historical research could not uncover any information concerning this business. SCU in that time period referred to the very well known Sports Cars Unlimited in Canada. SCU was owned by renowned Canadian Formula racer Bill Brack. Sports Cars Unlimited served as the Lotus distributor for all of Canada, as well as a source for all rare and exotic sports cars. It is unknown whether the Canadian dealership took possession of the car, or if there was in fact a SCU Lotus Central Foreign Cars dealership in Michigan that owned the car. At any rate, during this time period, the first color change was applied, from white to red. OWNERSHIP IN THE SEVENTIES: In the late sixties/early seventies CSX2032 was purchased by Don Burgess, of Cedar Falls, IA. Burgess advertised the car for sale in August of 1974, listing it as an AC Cobra 289. It is unknown if Burgess did an engine change or just mis-advertised the car. Bill Kemper, of Barrington, IL. purchased the Cobra in the fall of 1974. This was a short period of ownership, but documents reveal at this time the Cobra definitely had a 289 engine installed. It is unknown if Burgess or Kemper are responsible for the engine change. The engine was described as a Hi-Po 289. Now the car was painted blue with black trim. At this point, large round Cobra badges and 5.5” wire wheels were still on the car and fiberglass scoop had been added. Kemper listed the car for sale in 1975. CLICK ON THIS LINK FOR PERIOD PHOTOS OF CSX2032 IN 1974 AND 1975: http://s514.photobucket.com/user/redeuce/library/CSX2032%20ARCHIVAL%20PHOTOS%201974-1975 Ron Ressman, New Berlin, WI. purchased the Cobra in late 1975. At some point, white stripes were applied. Inaccurate information was supplied to SAAC for this period, and the record is corrected here through new information obtained in owner interviews. Ressman has been incorrectly credited with the first restoration on the car. Mr. Ressman owned CSX2032 from late 1975 until summer of 1977, but did not restore the car. In the summer of 1977, William Hansen obtained the Shelby in a trade deal with Ressman. Mr. Hansen was living in Waukesha, Wisconsin. In this period of ownership, the vehicle actually fulfilled the original intended purpose, competitive racing. Hansen participated in several competitions at many high level racing venues, including Elkhart Lake, Michigan International Speedway, and Blackhawk Farms, winning the majority. CLICK ON THIS LINK FOR PERIOD RESTORATION PHOTOS, RACING PHOTOS, AND OTHERS FROM 1977-1978. THERE ARE DESCRIPTIVE NOTES BELOW EACH PHOTO: http://s514.photobucket.com/user/redeuce/library/CSX2032%20ARCHIVAL%20PHOTOS%201977-1978 In the fall of 1977, Hansen opted for a mechanical and cosmetic restoration. His choice of restorer was world renowned Cobra expert Bill Murray of Murray Racing, Longmont, CO. Bill Murray raced Cobras in SCCA, and his shop performed remarkable restorations. Mr. Murray repainted the car in black, an undeniably elegant color that graces the car to this day. Gold stripes were added to match Hansen’s Hertz Shelby GT 350 Rent-A-Racer. Bob Prouty built the engine. To dispel another rumor, the car did not have a K code competition type 289 Cu. In. engine at this time. The basis for the build was a non K code 289. However, an extreme amount of head work, machine work, installation of a Holley 780 CFM to replace the Holley 600 CFM, camshaft change, etc. elevated the performance to Hi-Po standards. Interior was changed to beige/saddle. Several upgrades were installed at this point. Mr. Murray was instructed to upgrade the Cobra to a level consistent with competition models. The narrow wire wheels were replaced with the wide wire wheels. This allowed the installation of larger Hoosier D.O.T. tires. Fenders were also flared slightly for tire clearance. Ballanger headers were connected to chrome side pipes. Side vents and an oil cooler duct were also installed. Mr. Hansen reveals that he actually stripped the paint from the car personally before delivering it to Murray. All three original colors- white, red, and blue were still present on the original body. Hansen also opted not to disturb the original chassis, as only approximately 40,000 miles had been logged. Hansen himself drove the car to Longmont to meet Murray. When Hansen advertised it for sale, the vehicle had approximately 43,000 miles. In the summer of 1979, Hansen sold the car to well known Cobra collector Joe Rodman Jr., Glenshaw, PA. OWNERSHIP IN THE EIGHTIES: Rodman kept the car for a while, then in the mid-eighties sold it to John Prokell, Bentleyville, PA. Records do not reveal any major modifications during this period. Also unknown is how many miles were logged during this period. It remained black with gold stripes, tan/saddle interior, and modified 289 engine during this period. OWNERSHIP IN THE NINETIES: CSX2032 next appeared on the showroom floor of Essex Motorsports International, CT., circa 1992. Herm Rosenman purchased the Cobra at an auction in Princeton, NJ in late 1993. Rosenman lived in Cherry Hill, NJ. During this ownership, the second significant restoration was performed. The body was repainted, again in black. The interior was dyed from tan/beige to the original red color. He also installed four twin choke Weber carburetors. George Sicz,of Toronto, CA. purchased the car from Rosenman in early 1997. A back injury spelled a short term ownership for Sicz. In late 1997, early 1998, Peter Klutte of Legendary Motorcars in Milton, Ontario, CA. took possession. LEGENDARY MOTORCARS: During this period, several modifications were made to the Cobra. This included, but not limited to, authentic Halibrand kidney bean alloy racing wheels, Goodyear tires, large racing numerals, competition style fuel filler with rear cowl splash shield, front fender spats, Raydyot competition mirrors, quick-jacks, and yellow racing stripes over the right front fender. CSX2032 appeared at the R&M Auction in Monterey, CA. in August, 1998, high bid was not accepted. Later, the Cobra was advertised for sale as a Factory Competition Car. Although possibly thought to be true at the time, this is now known to be false. As stated earlier, CSX2032 was not manufactured as a Factory Competition Car. The vehicle was ordered with certain competition options, but also several luxury options that would not be present on a Factory Competition Car. Shelby American never raced this car. In fact, only approximately 13 of the 260 Cu. In. cars were built as some form of Competition Car. SAAC updated the description of CSX2032 to Factory Comp Optioned, or Factory Competition Optioned Cobra. RECENT OWNERSHIP: CLICK ON THIS LINK FOR AN ADDITIONAL FILE OF CURRENT PHOTOS OF CSX2032, INCLUDING ORIGINAL CHASSIS WITH ORIGINAL WELDS: http://s514.photobucket.com/user/redeuce/library/CSX2032 CSX2032 was purchased by Richard Cohen, Delray Beach, FL, in June of 2005. After approximately one year of ownership, Mr, Cohen struck a trade deal on the car. In summer of 2006, an avid car collector took possession. During this period of ownership, some refreshing and upgrading has been performed. Still finished in black, but sporting a black interior. The competition brakes and rotors were redone. Also, the original frame and chassis, which had never been restored, were cleaned and refinished. The current owner of this beautiful automobile stores the vehicle in a secure, climate controlled building. The vehicle is currently in highly detailed, mechanically sound condition. SUMMARY: To summarize this lengthy history, here is an overview: CSX2032 can be correctly labeled “The Lance Reventlow Cobra.” CSX2032 left the factory with a 260 Cu. In., 260HP Hi-Po engine. As optioned, CSX2032 can be correctly described as “Factory Competition Optioned.” CSX2032 is one of only seventy three 260 Cu. In. Cobras, of that one of 62 street cars. CSX2032 has a winning race record from 1977-1978, first made public in May, 2015. CSX2032 has a more lengthy ownership history than most, but all are documented. Currently a 289 Cu. In. engine built to Hi-Po type specs is installed in the car. Extensive documentation and historical provenance is in the possession of both SAAC and several previous owners. Take note that many other documents in our possession are proprietary, and will be displayed to serious buyers only. CSX2032 still maintains original body, frame, and chassis. Although several upgrades and modifications have been added, all parts and components are proper and correct Shelby Cobra. Current condition is excellent, both mechanically and cosmetically. This is an extremely rare opportunity, to own not only a Shelby Cobra, but a documented and provenanced Shelby Cobra. CSX2032 is a bona fide blue chip investment in the future. Recently in the collection of internationally known collector Ron Pratte. http://www.barrett-jackson.com/Archive/Event/Item/1970-CHEVROLET-CHEVELLE-SS-396-CONVERTIBLE-178646 Another example, we brokered the only 1968 Camaro Z-28 Convertible in July 1993 for 165K, it sold in 2002 for over 7 figures. These are just a couple of examples of the thousands of cars we have sold, and many were super investments. We know the rare muscle car market like no one on the planet. CSX4227 was delivered by Shelby American in 2002 as one of very few aluminum bodied CSX4000 cars produced. For reference, Shelby American produces roughly 1 alloy bodied car for every 5-6 fiberglass bodied cars.It was delivered to one of the most reputable Shelby dealers in the country, Mitch Hughes at S/C Motorsports in Mustang, Oklahoma, who proceeded to build the car to the same high standard to which he builds all his cars. An original, date coded 427 side oiler block was sourced along with aluminum heads. The motor was dressed correctly to closely mimic the engine compartment of an original CSX3000 car and the motor was topped with a period correct Holley 715. Power is transferred through a 4 speed toploader with a heavy duty clutch to handle the immense torque and horsepower of this very healthy 427.Adding to the car's intrigue, 4227 was left in bare aluminum with a brushed finish from the factory as the first owner preferred the look of raw alloy to that of a perfectly painted car. With the metal on display, it is easy to enjoy the character and workmanship which goes into the making of each one of these aluminum bodies and you will never have to answer the question of whether the car is alloy or fiberglass.CSX4227 does have the coveted California SB100 registration.Overall, the car was built to a high standard from a workmanship perspective and special effort was taken to give the car that “correct” look that everyone wants on their CSX4000 car including a blue painted engine block with black painted transmission. It is built like a proper 427 S/C should be built. If you are looking for a wild 900hp motor and a 6 speed, you will not find it here. What you will find is an authentically spec'd and built car which is ready to give you all the thrills of the real deal.CSX4227 has just come from the original owner and only displays 2,030 miles at the date of publish. The car has never been wrecked. and has no bad history. Having just come out of 7 years of storage, the car has been shaken down over its last 180 miles and has performed flawlessly. It has just been fitted with brand new tires. The car has gobs of torque, horsepower, and bad attitude. As things stand today, Shelby American is charging $160,000 for new aluminum CSX4000 rollers. Clearly, that doesn’t taken into account around $30,000 in drivetrain and miscellaneous parts, the labor which will be incurred to build the car, and the extensive wait period to get one of these cars from the factory. At the end of the day, today’s buyer for a new car will easily have $200,000+ in a finished aluminum bodied car, if they can even get their hands on an alloy roller in the first place.CSX4227 is a well built and low mileage example which is ready to go tomorrow. The chance to purchase a finished aluminum bodied is not one which comes up often. Those who own alloy bodied cars rarely put them on the marketwhile you have your choice of 10s of fiberglass bodied examples at any given time. In addition, it is tough to imagine owning a better CSX number than CSX4227.CSX4227 is now ready to head to its next home. Please call Vernon at 913.232.2136 for additonal information or to schedule a showing at our Overland Park, Kansas showroom!
