And FFR's latest roadster, officially termed the MK4, is poised to continue the firm's trade of producing the best selling, best-engineered and best-performing replicas of all time. At face value, the formula is simple: take a modern, lightweight chassis, wrap it in high-quality, tight-fitting fiberglass, plant a hot Ford V8 between the fenders and enjoy whiplash-inducing performance. But, as all car enthusiasts know, simplicity and reliability are only achieved through planning and precision. Built, polished and ready to roar, this MK4 roadster combines cool Shelby looks with all the right hardware to turn your knuckles white with excitement! Best of all, it's a fully sorted, turnkey package that's available to you for a fraction of the time and money someone else spent building it. If you've been searching for the perfect car to maximize your dollar-to-thrill ratio, welcome to your next classic! BODYWORK/TRIM Factory Five Racing has long been applauded for their great fiberglass work, and this Cobra is no exception. The car's virtually flawless profile, modeled on two well-known Shelby classics, is a 1-piece, hand-laid Vinylester shell that was laminated to 3/16ths, CNC trimmed and covered in a .015-inch gel coat. That gel lays excellent groundwork for wet looking Metallic Blue 2-stage. Since pretty much every Cobra worth its salt needs some kind of war paint, the builder added a classy pair of Pewter racing stripes. And today, this super slick roadster is a head-turning classic that's ready for the track, the boulevard or the show! Speaking of sophistication, crude detailing is often the downfall of an otherwise excellent build. Not so with this MK4, as every aspect of its design enhances Shelby's innate style and appeal. At the front of the car, polished overriders reflect chrome-trimmed headlights, bullet-style parking lamps and a requisite Shelby emblem. Behind that emblem, a scooped, 1-piece hood flows to chrome-trimmed glass that's seated between polished wipers and Factory Five wind wings. Behind those wings, an accessory hardtop fits well over a polished roll bar. Below that top, aluminum air extractors, a bullet-style racing mirror and small "427" emblems float amid polished side pipes and a familiar LeMans fuel filler. And at the back of the car, chrome-trimmed taillights illuminate a polished oval bumper and two more polished overriders. ENGINE When the original Cobra stormed the scene, team Shelby's mantra was all performance, all the way. And, while many reproductions hit the ground as sedate street cruisers, serious road chops require serious motor. Stroked to a whopping 392 cubic inches, this roadster's serious chops come in the form of a spry Ford Racing small block. The mean mill's energy mixture is supplied by a big Holley carburetor, which is sandwiched between a traditional Cobra air cleaner, a chrome Holley regulator and an aluminum Motorsport intake. That mixture travels in to free breathing aluminum heads, which hang Cobra-branded valve covers and a Ford Racing breather over coated stainless headers. The fires stay lit thanks to MSD 6AL ignition, which jolts a traditional distributor, an MSD Blaster 2 coil and loomed Ford Racing plug wires. That fire is kept in check by a beefy aluminum radiator, which is mated to stainless water tubes and a big electric puller fan. A billet serpentine drive spins a polished, 1-wire alternator above an aluminum water pump. And first rate details, like trick dipsticks, a polished expansion tank, stainless fuel lines, a Jegs throttle linkage and a liquid-filled Jegs pressure gauge, ensure this classic is more than just a random curbside attraction. DRIVETRAIN/SUSPENSION When it's time to put your hair in the wind, forget about outdated Toploader 4-speeds because this modern-day Cobra blisters the pavement with a fresh Tremec 5-speed. That world-class transmission utilizes a Tremec twin-disc clutch to spin a fresh, 8.8-inch pumpkin, which is fitted with 3.73 gears and a posi-traction differential. That drivetrain rides in a fabricated steel chassis that distills a 4-inch DOM frame into modern independent front and 3-link rear suspensions. Those suspensions, which make good use of tubular control arms and Koni coli-over-shocks, are connected to four big calipers that squeeze four drilled discs. At the front of the car's aluminum floor, modern rack-and-pinion steering makes low speed cruising almost as easy as high-speed sweeps. Power meets the pavement through attractive OE Racing wheels, which twist 245/45ZR17 Nitto NT555 Extreme ZRs in front of 315/35R17 Nitto NT555R Extreme Drags. And details like a deep-sump oil pan and color-keyed fender coating round out the car's impressive build. INTERIOR Cobra interiors have always been stylish and simple, and one look inside this roadster reveals just how serious the car's aspirations are when it comes to being driver-focused. British-style bucket seats stretch tight leather hides under 5-point Simpson safety harnesses. In front of those seats, a wrapped dash hangs Auto Meter Pro-Comp Ultra-Lite telemetry between a small fire extinguisher and pedestal-mount mirror. At the sides of that dash, lightweight doors hang polished poppers behind pleated leather panels. Below those doors, clean carpet centers a booted e-brake and small shifter between metal foot pedals and colorful Cobra mats. The driver feels the asphalt through a polished steering wheel, which twists an authentic wood rim around a red, white and blue Factory Five logo. And the passenger stows cargo in a fully finished trunk. That means Cobra enthusiasts don't have to look very hard to find a great variety of components and aftermarket support. Unfortunately, the amount of time and money involved in vetting those parts and building a ground-up custom becomes simply mind-boggling. Enthusiasts sometimes spend years writing check after check to shop after shop creating a car that, by the time it's finished, some of them don't even want. That's where your friends at RK Motors Charlotte come in. You can literally walk right in to our showroom and choose the Cobra of your dreams for about half of its assembly cost. And because we actively search for the best cars on the market, you can rest assured that you're getting a top-notch classic. Decked in vivid 2-stage and supple leather, this impressive roadster pairs a 302 cubic inch Ford V8 with a tough Borg Warner 5-speed and fully custom suspension. Want an over-the-top hot rod that's a blast to show and even more fun to drive? Forget 6-figures and three years of wait time, come claim this cool Copper Cobra! BODYWORK/TRIM Okay, okay... "Copper" might've been a bit of a stretch for the sake of catchy alliteration. But it's certainly a fair assessment of a color that PPG technically calls Vibrant Nutmeg. That pigment shines between Pewter racing stripes and a clean fiberglass body that, in the summer of 2015, was completely worked by Cobra expert Bill Jordan. If that name sounds familiar, it's because Jordan appeared on an episode of South Beach Classics. And if this roadster looks 'showroom fresh', it's because the car has logged less than 100 miles since its completion. At the front of its body, a sculpted nose hangs polished quick lifts and requisite mesh grilles between halogen headlights and chrome-trimmed, bullet-style marker lamps. A sculpted hood anchors an integrated scoop in front of chrome latches. Behind that hood, a chrome-trimmed windshield hangs a small mirror between of clear wind wings, polished wipers and dark-tint visors. At the sides of the car, chrome exhaust pipes frame stylish 427 emblems, aluminum air extractors and a familiar, Monza-style fuel filler. And at the back of the car, a 2-inch stainless roll bar leads the eye to chrome-trimmed taillights, a locking trunk and two more polished quick lifts. ENGINE 'Keep it simple' is a good philosophy when it comes to performance and reliability. And the builders of this clean classic did exactly that by equipping the car with Ford's storied, 302 cubic inch small block. At the top of the fully sorted mill, a petite, polished air cleaner funnels oxygen in to a coated Summit carburetor. That juice box rides between polished fuel lines, a clean Summit intake and an MSD Pro-Billet distributor that flames loomed Summit Street & Strip plug wires. That intake pushes air and fossils through factory Ford heads, which balance chrome valve covers under chrome breathers. In front of those covers, billet pulleys spin a fresh aluminum water pump between a Wilson alternator and coated mechanical fuel pump. At the front of those ancillaries, a heavy-duty puller fan cools an aluminum, high capacity radiator. And speaking of keeping things cool, thermal-wrapped headers join an insulated cowl to benefit engine and passengers alike. DRIVETRAIN/SUSPENSION When it's time to put your hair in the wind, forget outdated Toploaders because this modern-day Cobra blisters the pavement with a fresh Borg Warner 5-speed. That tough transmission twists a Driveshaft Specialist driveshaft, which spins a 9-inch Ford axle. That drivetrain, bolted to a modern, powder-coated chassis, rolls a high performance independent front and 4-link rear suspension, which benefits from tubular control arms and fully adjustable coil-overs. Authentic track feel is maintained by manual rack-and-pinion steering. Brakes are vented discs at all four corners. And there's simply nothing that looks better on a Cobra than a set of Halibrand-style wheels, which spin sticky 235/60R15 Cooper Cobra Radial G/Ts in front of aggressive 295/50R15 Cooper Cobra Radial G/Ts. INTERIOR Open the car's small doors and you'll find a classy cockpit that's a bit more luxurious and roomier than typical Cobra fodder. Bomber-style seats wear pleated, stitched and embroidered leather under 4-point safety harnesses. In front of those seats, a painted and upholstered dash founds clean, white-face telemetry under a small rearview mirror. At the sides of that dash, the aforementioned doors hang pleated panels in front of chrome latches. The driver feels the asphalt through metal foot pedals, a small, billet-topped shifter, and a polished and wood-trimmed steering wheel. And the passenger stows cargo in a carpeted and leather-lined trunk. Seductive, carefully assembled and ready to give you the ride of your life, this Cobra is sure to satisfy anyone who has a pulse! Why waste valuable time and money waiting on a custom build when we have an array of top-notch roadsters finished, sorted and ready to roll? Grab the phone, schedule an appointment and drive off with your next classic! About This Auction Please note that all sales are binding and final. That means Cobra enthusiasts don't have to look very hard to find a great variety of aftermarket support, and that makes it pretty easy to build a roadster any way they like it. The problem then becomes the amount of time and money that such a massive undertaking requires. After spending years writing check after check to shop after shop, the enthusiast finally gets to enjoy a car that, by that point in time, they might not even want. Fortunately, there is a better solution! Why not let your friends at RK Motors Charlotte sell you a top-notch custom like this killer Factory Five stroker for half the price, and a fraction of the time, of building it yourself? BODYWORK/TRIM Factory Five Racing has long been applauded for their great fiberglass work, and this Cobra is no exception. The car's virtually flawless profile, showcasing the typically tight tolerances that have become a Factory Five hallmark, lays excellent groundwork for a wet looking coat of glossy PPG Copperhead Pearl 2-stage. That 2-stage was applied at a professional finishing shop as part of a 2-year assembly that wrapped up in late 2005. Since Copperhead Pearl is always best when mixed with something else, the car's slick profile was detailed with Sherman Williams White Pearl stripes. And today, this super slick Cobra is a race-bred street king that's puts a refreshing twist on a timeless American classic. Detailing is crucial on a replica because that's where a lot of cars start to disappoint. Fortunately, you can tell the overall impression of one of these Cobras from about five feet away. And naturally, since were featuring it, this roadster hits all the right visuals! At the front of the car, a sculpted nose hangs a Dark Water Customs air splitter between satin quick lifts, mesh grilles and Cobra Valley Crystalite headlights. A sculpted hood anchors an integrated scoop between locking latches and billet Anvil Auto pins. Behind that hood, a stainless-trimmed windshield hangs a small mirror in front of clear wind wings and dark-tint visors. At the sides of the car, Satin Black exhaust pipes frame stylish 427 emblems, Finishline air extractors and a familiar, Monza-style fuel filler. And at the back of the car, a polished roll bar leads the eye to chrome-trimmed taillights, a locking trunk and two more satin quick lifts. ENGINE Great looks are only part of this Cobra's appeal: it also does a very good job of going really fast and making lots of awesome noise! Remove the car's tidy hood and you'll find a 347 cubic inch Ford stroker motor that utilizes a cast SCAT crank, forged SCAT rods, Keith Black hypereutectic pistons and a custom-grind hydraulic roller cam to churn big horsepower into ample torque. At the top of the balanced and blueprinted mill, a familiar Cobra air cleaner funnels wind in to a 1,200cfm Accel throttle body that's cinched to an Edelbrock Victor EFI intake. That intake is wired to 30 lb./hr. injectors, which siphon a Holley 250 pump, 6AN fluid lines and Edelbrock fuel rails. At the front of those rails, an Accel Dual Sync distributor utilizes Accel DFI 6A ignition and thick MSD Super Conductor plug wires to sequentially fire eight massive cylinders. Those cylinders combust under Dart Pro1 heads, which hide Chromoly pushrods, ARP bolts and Comp Pro Magnum roller rockers under a polished breather and Ford Racing valve covers. At the sides of those covers, coated Ford Racing headers feed high-flow Factory Five cats and stainless DNA mufflers. At the front of those headers, roller timing components back a billet March accessory drive, which spins a rebuilt alternator at the side of a reverse-rotation water pump. And that pump feeds a custom Tri-State Motorsports radiator, which fronts a large electric puller fan and Zoops expansion tank. Electronically, fresh American Autowire wiring works with Accel DFI Thruster EFI engine management to ensure miles of smiles. And niceties like Clevite bearings, Hastings rings, a Melling oil pump and a Forte's dual master cylinder add to the car's form and function. DRIVETRAIN/SUSPENSION Rule number one of hot rodding: an excellent drivetrain isn't worth the metal it's built from unless it's paired with a competent chassis. Behind this Cobra's hot small block, a poly-mounted, McLeod- shrouded Tremec TKII 5-speed pairs a steel Ford Motorsport flywheel with a Weber clutch and Centerforce pressure plate. That tough transmission spins a custom Forte's driveshaft, which is hooked to a spry Ford 8.8-inch axle stuffed with 3.27 gears. That axle pushes a Factory Five 3-link that's outfitted with Koni coil-overs, a Vintage Performance Motorcars sway bar and a Vintage Performance Motorcars banana bracket. Opposite that rear end, an independent front-half hangs tubular control arms and two more Koni coil-overs between SN-95 Mustang spindles and a second Vintage Performance Motorcars sway bar. That suspension is guided by ATSCO power rack-and-pinion steering, which mixes a Flaming River lower shaft and Breeze Automotive bushings with Whitby's FAI modification and Forte's bump steer elimination. Stops come courtesy of manual disc brakes, which pair aluminum PBR calipers with two 13-inch drilled and slotted rotors and two 11.65-inch drilled and slotted rotors. Power meets the pavement through anthracite Bullitt wheels, which twist 255/40ZR17 Nitto NT05 street radials in front of 315/35ZR17 Nitto NT05 drag radials. And items like a high-torque mini starter, a custom driveshaft hoop, a quality Canton oil pan and a Trick Flow differential cover round out the car's impressive build. INTERIOR Take one look at the accompanying specs sheet and you'll see that this roadster was built to keep. And even though its cockpit still honors the purist nature of a no-nonsense, track-shredding sports car, many well-planned details ratchet up both comfort and appeal. Lightweight Kirkey seats stretch tight leather hides under heavy-duty safety harnesses. In front of those seats, a super clean dash founds reliable Auto Meter Pro Comp Ultra Lite telemetry between a 12-volt outlet, two brake proportioning knobs and a self-canceling Russ Thompson turn signal switch. At the sides of that dash, lightweight doors hang Herb's custom panels inside Dark Water Customs sill trim. Below those doors, custom Loop Carpet anchors a North Racecars e-brake and Pro-5.0 shifter between a custom-dropped foot box and piped Factory Five floor mats. At the center of that carpet, a custom console balances stainless cupholders beneath crisp Alpine Type-S speakers. The driver feels the asphalt through a polished steering wheel, which laps assorted Russ Thompson foot pedals. The passenger stows cargo in a carpeted trunk, which balances a modern Alpine CD player opposite a brand new, billet-cinched Optima battery. And high quality Second Skin insulation works with power-operated Cobra Earl's foot box vents to combat the big engine's heat. The formula is simple: take a modern, lightweight chassis, wrap it in high-quality, tight-fitting fiberglass, plant a hot Ford V8 between the fenders and enjoy whiplash-inducing performance. Built, polished and ready to roar, this Mark III roadster combines cool Shelby looks with all the right hardware to turn your knuckles white with excitement! The car's virtually flawless profile, showcasing the typically tight tolerances that have become a Factory Five hallmark, lays excellent groundwork for a wet looking coat of Ford Tungsten Gray 2-stage. Since pretty much every Cobra worth its salt needs to have some kind of war paint, the builder blended a classy pair of bright silver racing stripes. And today, this super slick Cobra is a sophisticated classic that exhibits twice the style and twice the race-bred DNA of a typical replicar boulevard cruiser. Speaking of sophistication, crude detailing is often the downfall of an otherwise excellent build. Not so with this roadster, as every aspect of its design enhances Shelby's innate style and appeal. At the front of the car, polished quick lifts reflect chrome-trimmed headlights, bullet-style parking lamps and a requisite Shelby emblem. Behind that emblem, a scooped, 1-piece hood flows to stainless-trimmed glass that's seated between polished wipers and Factory Five wind wings. Below those wings, finned air extractors, a bullet-style racing mirror and small "POWERED BY FORD" emblems float amid coated side pipes and a familiar Monza fuel filler. And at the back of the car, chrome-trimmed taillights illuminate a chrome roll bar, a second Shelby emblem, two more quick lifts and a lockable trunk handle. ENGINE When the original Cobra stormed the scene, team Shelby's mantra was all performance, all the way. And, while many reproductions hit the ground as sedate street cruisers, serious road chops require serious motor. Bored and stroked to a whopping 408 cubic inches, this roadster's serious chops come in the form of a spry, 351 cubic inch Windsor V8. The mean mill's energy mixture is supplied by a big Holley carburetor, which is sandwiched between an Edelbrock intake and traditional Cobra air cleaner. That mixture travels in to Edelbrock Performer RPM heads, which hang Cobra-branded valve covers and a Ford Racing breather over high quality roller rockers and forged Keith Black pistons. Combustion comes courtesy of a balanced and blueprinted rotating assembly, which is framed by a cast Eagle crank and Comp Xtreme Energy cam. The fires stay lit thanks to MSD 6AL ignition, an MSD distributor, a Pertronix coil and loomed Ford Racing plug wires. That fire is kept in check by a beefy aluminum radiator, which is mated to a big electric puller fan. A modern serpentine system spins a rebuilt alternator above an aluminum water pump while spent gases are cycled through ceramic-coated headers. And first rate details, like ARP bolts, stainless fluid lines and a liquid-filled Jegs fuel pressure gauge, ensure this classic is more than just a random curbside attraction. DRIVETRAIN/SUSPENSION When it's time to put your hair in the wind, forget about outdated Toploader 4-speeds because this modern-day Cobra blisters the pavement with a fresh Tremec TKO600 5-speed. That world-class transmission utilizes a tough hydraulic clutch to spin a fresh, 8.8-inch Ford Racing pumpkin, which is fitted with 3.73 gears and high quality Moser axles. That drivetrain rides in a tubular, fabricated steel chassis that distills into a modern, multi-link suspension. That suspension is connected to four big calipers, which squeeze four vented discs. At the front of the car's aluminum floor, modern rack-and-pinion steering makes low speed cruising almost as easy as high-speed sweeps. Power meets the pavement through attractive Halibrand-style wheels, which twist 255/45ZR17 Nitto NT555 Extreme ZRs in front of 315/35ZR17 Nitto NT555 Extreme ZRs. And items like a deep-sump oil pan and clean Edelbrock fuel components round out the car's impressive build. INTERIOR Cobra interiors have always been stylish and simple, and one look inside this roadster reveals just how serious the car's aspirations are when it comes to being driver-focused. Sculpted seats stretch tight vinyl hides under 4-point Simpson safety harnesses. In front of those seats, a super clean dash founds classy telemetry beside a custom-engraved Cobra logo. At the sides of that dash, lightweight doors hang polished poppers behind requisite leather straps. Below those doors, clean carpet centers a booted e-brake and small shifter between Wilwood foot pedals and color-keyed Factory Five floor mats. The driver feels the asphalt through a polished steering wheel, which twists an authentic wood rim around a red, white and blue Cobra logo. And the passenger stows cargo in a spacious trunk that's fitted with a custom-engraved battery box. OUR SALE INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING ACCESSORIESA cockpit cover With classic looks, a killer engine and a fully sorted, road-ready chassis, this awesome Cobra provides unmatched thrills for an unmatched price. It's the latest in our string of high quality Shelbys that look just as good as originals while benefitting from modern technology and 21st century build techniques. Don't miss this opportunity to own a turnkey Factory Five roadster that's just as nice as a real deal Cobra, and probably more fun to drive, at a fraction of the price! From seven-figure originals to fiberglass replicas, the word "Cobra" can represent anything from a sinuous boulevard cruiser to a hardcore track star. With that in mind, every dynasty has a Sultan, and, for the Cobra, that Sultan is a classic like this awesome 427-powered roadster. A professionally built, turnkey stormer, this road-ready beast combines killer looks and excellent build quality with a level of performance that's tailor-made for highly skilled drivers. If you're searching for a quick twist on an old favorite, forget about project cars pieced together from leftovers. And forget about sloppy replica builds that shame their fabled predecessors. Call your friends at RK Motors Charlotte and pick up this razor-sharp snake! BODYWORK/TRIM Commissioned by Shelby American of Las Vegas, Nevada, CSX-4064 wears virtually flawless fiberglass that mixes great fit with a noise-free driving experience. Stiffly reinforced body panels feature the smooth surfaces and typically tight gaps we've come to expect from top-notch customs. The car's excellent finish is a testament to both OEM quality and the true talent and vision of its original builder. And, while few classics strike a perfect balance of outrageous looks, serious performance and excellent attention to detail, this Cobra's timeless red, white and blue aesthetics create a simply irresistible curve carver! Since the car is authentic enough to be listed in the Shelby American World Registry, you can rest assured that every aspect of this nouveau roadster enhances the original Cobra's innate style and appeal. At the front of its body, chrome-trimmed headlights and bullet-style parking lamps frame a classy Shelby emblem and Satin Black bumperettes. Behind that emblem, a lightweight hood centers a functional scoop in front of small wipers, tinted visors, chrome-trimmed glass and "COBRA" branded wind wings. Below those wings, coated side-pipes complement traditional 427 emblems, finned air extractors and a requisite Monza fuel filler. And at the back of the car, chrome-trimmed taillights illuminate a chrome roll bar, a second Shelby emblem, two more bumperettes and a lockable trunk handle. ENGINE Striking a pose is only one of this Cobra's skills; it also does a very good job of going fast and making a lot of noise! Built by Southern Automotive Engines of McDonough, Georgia, and installed by Finishline Motorsports of Las Vegas, Nevada, the car's balanced and blueprinted 427 features an increased stroke that nets a whopping 462 cubic inches of Ford power! At the top of that buff power source, a Stellings & Hellings air cleaner feeds a coated Holley 4150 carburetor that's tethered to a lightweight aluminum intake. At the sides of that carburetor, high performance Edelbrock heads ride below chrome "427 FORD COBRA" valve covers. Beneath those heads, a 4-inch stroke crank combines with a Crane cam, Manley H-beam rods and custom, forged pistons to create stout 10.2 to 1 compression. That compression gets sparked by Accel Hi-Temp Super Stock Spiral Core wires, which snake to a Motorcraft distributor that's wired to a hot MSD ignition system. Beneath those wires, application-specific headers roll charred dinosaurs in to the aforementioned side pipes. And in front of those headers, a big Fluidyne radiator circulates water around a large puller fan and painted overflow tank. You'll be happy to know that the clean V8 has been properly seated in a satin aluminum bay. And you'll be excited to see details, like hard fluid lines, a remote oil filter and chrome dress-up items, that round out a very impressive engine display. DRIVETRAIN/SUSPENSION One of the best things about buying a high quality replica is the modern hardware underneath. Much sturdier than original Cobra fodder, this Shelby's ladder-style chassis and fully independent suspension are clean, lucid and ready to hit the road. Behind the engine, a rugged Toploader 4-speed jerks a Dana 44 rear end, which turns a limited-slip differential around mild, 3.54 gears. Those gears are countered by four manual calipers, which squeeze four solid discs. At the front of the car, old school manual steering provides an authentic driving experience. Power meets the pavement through familiar Trigo pin drives, which twist two 245/60R15 BF Goodrich Radial T/As, and two 295/50R15 BF Goodrich Radial T/As, around steel-winged knock-offs. And items like stainless fluid lines, adjustable coil-over-shocks and a deep-sump Canton oil pan provide the best of both form and function. INTERIOR Cobra interiors are usually stalwart and simple, but this roadster's lush leather cockpit is comfortable and appealing. Well-padded seats are firm, look as good as new and feature heavy duty Simpson harnesses for increased safety. In front of those seats, a color-keyed dash hangs a tight leather faade around a small mirror and a clean combination of Smiths and Lucas gauges. At the sides of that dash, lightweight doors are dressed in soft inserts and chrome handles. Below those doors, black carpet floats "COBRA" branded floor mats between a chrome hand brake, a chrome shifter, and Optima battery and a small fire extinguisher. In front of the driver, a wood-rimmed steering wheel spins highly polished spokes around a "COBRA" branded horn button. And behind the passengers, an aluminum-trimmed trunk hides ample space for cargo. With classic looks, a killer engine and a fully sorted chassis, this awesome roadster provides unmatched thrills for an unmatched price. It's the latest in our string of high quality Cobras that combine vintage style with modern technology and 21st century build techniques. Need proof? Check out all those dual-quad Impalas and Sting Ray roadsters that routinely pull 6-figure prices simply because they exist. That begs the question: how do you get breakneck performance that's wrapped in a jaw-dropping shell without draining your kid's college fund? Well, you take a serious look at a gem like this fantastic Backdraft Racing Cobra! A modern spin on a timeless sports car, this roadster mixes 427 cubic inches of Roush Performance stroker with a tough Tremec 5-speed, BMW suspension components and crowd-pleasing aesthetics. If you're in the market for a storied classic that's destined to lead the pack, you've found your pride and joy! BODYWORK/TRIM From inception, Backdraft cars are turnkey products developed and engineered to mimic the vintage appeal of authentic aluminum Cobras while handily out-performing pretty much anything on the street. The assembly of this roadster's professionally finished body began with a steel-lined GRP molding that was hand-tweaked and gel coated on a full-size rotisserie rack. Once that coating was complete, the newly formed fuselage was smoothed by a seasoned fiberglass professional, baked in an even coat of primer and inspected top-to-bottom to ensure first-class quality. When quality control was cleared, clean PPG white was detailed with Indigo Blue stripes, covered in three layers of ChemSpec clear, baked and cured for three days, and finally, flattened and polished to a head-turning shine. And today, this super slick Cobra is a sophisticated build that exhibits twice the style and twice the race-bred DNA of a typical replicar boulevard cruiser. Detailing is crucial on a replica because that's where a lot of cars start to disappoint. Fortunately, you can tell the overall impression of one of these roadsters from about five feet away. And naturally, since were featuring it, this Cobra hits all the right visuals! At the front of the car, a sculpted and re-angled nose hangs chrome-trimmed Hella headlights over mesh grilles, clear, bullet-style parking lamps and polished quick lifts. A sculpted hood anchors a small, ROUSH-branded scoop in front of locking latches and polished windshield wipers. Behind that hood, a tinted windshield hangs a small Backdraft Racing mirror in front of clear wind wings, dark-tint visors, a polished roll bar and a familiar, Monza-style fuel filler. At the sides of the car, polished and shielded exhaust pipes ride below stylish Ford emblems, finned air extractors and 3M quarter guards. And at the back of the car, chrome-trimmed tail lamps combine with a chrome tag light to illuminate a locking trunk handle and two more polished quick lifts. ENGINE This roadster's signage accurately advertises 427 cubic inches of American muscle. What it fails to convey is: instead of some romantic relic from a bygone era, would-be challengers are facing a fresh Roush Performance 427 R stroker motor that, during its 2010 dyno run, twisted 537 horsepower into 518 lb./ft. of torque! Built from the ground up as your ticket to major acceleration and killer speed, this stout mill is founded on an iron block, a steel crank, a roller cam, H-beam connecting rods and forged aluminum pistons. At the top of the smooth engine, a Roush Cobra Jet-style air cleaner mixes fresh oxygen with 93-octane pump gas that's supplied by braided fluid lines and a large Holley 4-barrel. That carburetor is bolted to an Edelbrock Victor Jr. 351W intake, which rides between aluminum, CNC-ported heads and sequential Roush valve covers. Fire is provided by an MSD Blaster SS coil, which is connected to an MSD Pro-Billet distributor and loomed Roush 9mm plug wires. Cooling comes courtesy of a screened radiator, which circulates water past a large electric puller fan and polished stainless overflow via polished stainless tubes and a coated pump. Ceramic-coated mild steel headers evacuate spent gases into 304 stainless side-pipes. And at the front of the block, a beefy serpentine system spins billet pulleys in front of a polished Powermaster alternator and polished power steering pump. Aesthetically, the hot engine looks right at home in the car's mirror-like bay. And well-planned details, like a chrome breather, a coated fuel pump and a beefy QuickTime bellhousing, are both functional and appealing. DRIVETRAIN/SUSPENSION When it's time to put your hair in the wind, forget about outdated Toploader 4-speeds because this modern-day Cobra blisters the pavement with a fresh Tremec TKO600 5-speed. That world-class transmission delivers power to a 3.46 limited-slip BMW rear end that creates whiplash-inducing acceleration while still allowing the car to loaf along at highway speeds. That drivetrain, which is bolted to a hot-rolled rectangular steel ladder-type chassis, sends power through the same BMW-sourced MacPherson strut front and fully independent rear suspension that's become a Backdraft hallmark. And thanks to that suspension's adjustable front stabilizer bar, fully adjustable rear ride height and BMW power steering system, you're getting a Cobra that has a performance threshold capable of humiliating much more expensive hardware. Brakes are power-assisted discs at all four corners that, thanks to this car's featherweight construction, are virtually impervious to fade. And there's simply nothing that looks better on a Cobra than a set of Halibrand-style wheels, which spin sticky 245/40ZR17 Goodyear Eagle F1s in front of aggressive 315/35ZR17 Goodyear Eagle F1s. INTERIOR Cobra interiors have always been simple, and one look inside this roadster reveals just how serious the car's aspirations are when it comes to being driver-focused. Backdraft Racing buckets stretch tight leather hides between 4-point Crow Enterprizes harnesses. In front of those seats, a leather-wrapped dash founds electric VDO telemetry above metal Backdraft Racing foot pedals. At the sides of that dash, lightweight doors hang blue-stitched pulls above small map pockets. Below those doors, clean carpet centers a polished e-brake and polished Backdraft Racing shifter between color-keyed Backdraft Racing floor mats. The driver stays connected to the asphalt thanks to a polished Backdraft Racing wheel, which twists a thick Teak rim. And the passengers' cargo stows in a carpeted trunk that's fitted with an integrated trickle charger. OUR SALE INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTATION AND ACCESSORIESA Backdraft Racing build bookRoush Performance engine specsAn official Roush Performance dyno sheetA pair of Backdraft Racing fender coversA full tonneau cover There simply aren't that many chances to own a first class sport car especially at this money. And with its euro-spec chassis, modern 5-speed and Roush-designed engine, this Cobra is guaranteed to be a blast to drive. If you're looking to add a little fire to your arsenal, just open the garage and unleash this Backdraft! About This Auction Please note that all sales are binding and final. From six-figure originals to fiberglass replicas, the word "Cobra" can represent anything from a sinuous boulevard cruiser to a hardcore track star. With that in mind, every dynasty has a Sultan, and, for the Cobra, that Sultan is a classic like this outrageous Roush Yates-powered roadster. A professionally built, turnkey stormer, this track-ready beast combines killer looks and excellent build quality with a level of performance that's tailor-made for highly skilled drivers. If you're searching for a quick twist on an old favorite, forget about project cars pieced together from leftovers. And forget about sloppy replica builds that shame their fabled predecessors. Call your friends at RK Motors Charlotte and pick up this razor-sharp snake. But be warned: this isn't the kind of car that's comfortable pulling 10 MPH passes at the local Dairy Queen. BODYWORK/TRIM Starting life at Venom Custom Fabrications, this super slick roadster wears virtually flawless fiberglass that mixes great fit with a noise-free driving experience. Stiffly reinforced body panels feature the smooth surfaces and typically tight gaps we've come to expect from top-notch aftermarket suppliers. The car's excellent finish is a testament to both OEM quality and the true talent and vision of its current owner. And, while few classics strike a perfect balance of outrageous looks, serious performance and excellent attention to detail, this Cobra's timeless black and gold pigment creates a simply irresistible curve carver! Speaking of details, they're often the downfall of an otherwise excellent build. Not so with this roadster, as every aspect of its design enhances Shelby's innate style and appeal. At the front of the car, familiar bumperettes reflect chrome-trimmed headlights, bullet-style parking lamps and a classy Shelby emblem. Behind that emblem, a scooped hood flows to stainless-trimmed glass that's seated between small wipers, tinted visors and clear wind wings. Below those wings, a bullet-style racing mirror complements finned air extractors, polished and shielded side pipes, and a requisite Monza fuel filler. And at the back of the car, chrome-trimmed taillights illuminate a chrome roll bar, a second Shelby emblem, two more bumperettes and a lockable trunk handle. ENGINE Twist this Cobra's chrome hood locks and you'll find a NASCAR-spec, Roush Yates-built D3 Ford 358 that, in 2011, twisted 750 dyno-proven horsepower into 543 lb./ft. of torque! And, if you know anything about NASCAR, you know about the brutal V8 wizardry that's quite literally propelled both Jack Roush and Robert Yates to extreme success. The beast feeds thanks to a big 4-barrel carburetor that rides between Earl's fluid lines, a Mr. Gasket pressure gauge and a K&N X-Stream air filter. Beneath that carb, an aluminum Edelbrock intake feeds Roush Yates heads, which are sandwiched between aluminum valve covers and wrapped, long-tube headers. At the front of that intake, a Crane distributor sequences fire through thick Champion Power Boost plug wires. Charge for that fire is provided a complete MSD HVC ignition system. Spark for that charge is provided by a small alternator, which, along with a massive water pump, spins on fresh V-belts. Lubrication comes courtesy of Peterson dry-sump components. A heavy duty aluminum radiator makes good use of a giant puller fan and polished overflow tank. There's a complete NOS nitrous system, in case you want to turn 'scary' into 'insane'. And the car's minimalist aluminum engine bay is nice and clean, featuring a painted hood, mirrored inner fenders and pertinent chassis identification. DRIVETRAIN/SUSPENSION One of the best things about buying a high quality replica is the modern hardware underneath. MIG welded, TIG welded and completely powder-coated, this Shelby's Jig-made, ladder-style chassis and independent, BMW-style suspension are fully sorted and ready to hit the toughest track you can find. Behind the engine, a rugged Tremec 5-speed jerks a 4.25-inch Quarter Master Race Clutch, which is fed by a small Tilton fluid reservoir. All that jerking eventually makes its way to a modern rear end that's stuffed with stout, tire-chirping gears. Those gears are countered by power-assisted calipers, which squeeze four drilled and slotted discs. At the front of the car, fluid rack-and-pinion steering makes low speed parking almost as easy as high speed sweeps. Power meets the pavement through attractive Halibrand-style knock-offs, which twist 235/60R15 BF Goodrich Radial T/As in front of 295/50R15 BF Goodrich Radial T/As. And items like a beefy sway bar, Penske racing shocks, braided fluid lines and a passenger-friendly 92-inch wheelbase round out an already impressive track warrior. INTERIOR Cobra interiors are usually stalwart and simple, but this roadster's Beige leather cockpit is comfortable and appealing. Well-padded seats are firm, look as good as new and feature heavy duty Simpson harnesses for increased safety. In front of those seats, a color-keyed dash hangs a tight leather faade around a small mirror, a combination of Spek and VDO gauges, and controls for the car's rarely used nitrous system. At the sides of that dash, lightweight doors are dressed in soft inserts, big map pockets and chrome handles. Below those doors, piped carpet floats premium floor mats between a chrome shifter, a chrome fire extinguisher, AC foot pedals and a satin hand brake. In front of the driver, a wood-rimmed steering wheel spins highly polished spokes around an "AC" branded horn button. And behind the passengers, a carpeted trunk hides a large nitrous tank opposite a modern battery. OUR SALE INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTATION AND ACCESSORIESAn Owner's ManualA weather-free cockpit cover With classic looks, a killer engine and a fully sorted chassis, this awesome roadster provides unmatched thrills for an unmatched price. It's the latest in our string of high quality Cobras that look just as good as originals while benefitting from modern technology and 21st century build techniques. Don't miss your opportunity to own a turnkey track star that's just as nice as vintage, and probably WAY more fun to drive, at a fraction of the cost! Unlike most Cobra producers, BDR isn't hamstrung by history. And while they do seek to honor Shelby's prized creation, they also want to continue his legacy through carefully planned adaptations of modern technology. The result is a world-class entity that builds some of the best looking, best performing Cobras on the market. And when that forward thinking is combined with the incredible prowess of Livonia, Michigan's Roush Performance, it creates the ultimate embodiment of classic style and sinister speed. Wrapping a 600 horsepower ROUSHcharged V8 in Tremec gears, BMW suspension components and a literal interpretation of Triple Ace Bud Anderson's "Old Crow" warbird, this elite roadster takes Ol' Shel's Cobra to a whole new level! When quality control was cleared, clean Vapor Metallic PPG was detailed with Olive war paint, covered in three layers of ChemSpec clear, baked and cured for three days, and finally, flattened and polished to a head turning shine. And today, this super slick Cobra is a sophisticated build that exhibits twice the style and twice the race-bred DNA of a typical replicar boulevard cruiser. Following the successful launch of their P-51 Mustang series, some of the most sought-after and collectible tuner Mustangs ever created, Backdraft Racing armed another storied American fighter with this P51 themed Cobra. And, as if you couldn't tell, their WW2-themed aesthetics look absolutely stunning on this roadster's sublime and curvaceous body. At the front of the car, a sculpted and re-angled nose hangs black-trimmed headlights above clear, bullet-style parking lamps and Satin Black quick lifts. A riveted hood anchors a small, "ROUSHCHARGED" scoop in front of locking latches and Satin Black windshield wipers. Behind that hood, a tinted, Backdraft-branded windshield hangs a small mirror and 'Jack Roush' branded wind wings in front of a tight top, a Satin Black roll bar and a familiar, Monza-style fuel filler. At the sides of the car, monochromatic exhaust pipes ride below stylized Roush emblems, color-keyed air extractors and 3M quarter guards. And at the back of the car, black-trimmed tail lamps combine with a black tag light to illuminate a locking trunk handle and a second pair of Satin Black quick lifts. ENGINE Like most Roush-branded creations, this Cobra features a supercharged and intercooled 4.6 liter Ford 'mod motor'. But, unlike most run-of-the-mill Roush mod motors, that engine, installed by the pros at Speed Fanatix of Boynton Beach, Florida, makes an incredible 600 horsepower! The TVS Technology ROUSHcharger is an Eaton-style blower that successfully manages on-track temperatures thanks to an air-to-liquid intercooler. At the side of that blower, a large induction system snakes around an Olive Green alternator and Aeromotive fuel componentry. Below that blower, a high performance Roush intake complements satin fuel rails, yellow Accel coil packs and Olive Green cam covers. At the front of that blower, a lightweight aluminum radiator utilizes an Olive water neck and polished tubes to circulate coolant around a large puller fan and polished overflow tank. Even though Ford's go-to V8 is a very strong engine as is, this one has been supplemented with a beefier cooling system and recalibrated ECM. Aesthetically, the spotless mill features a typical OEM-level appearance that's set off by an array of clean accents. And, when you twist its key, you'd better be sure you've clicked your belts! Brakes are drilled and slotted discs at all four corners that, thanks to this car's featherweight construction, are virtually impervious to fade. And there's simply nothing that looks better on a Cobra than a set of Halibrand-style wheels, which spin aggressive Nitto radials around yellow Wilwood calipers. INTERIOR P-51-branded bomber seats, which are complete with 4-point Crow Enterprizes harnesses, form the foundation for this roadster's interior; and are a massive aesthetic upgrade over the puffy shells you'll find in most replicas. In front of those seats, a Vapor and Olive dash frames pushbutton start, billet accessory knobs, a snazzy Jack Roush signature and Moal aircraft-style gauges in a slick, carbon fiber-look instrument panel. At the sides of that dash, traditional fiberglass doors are covered in a rich combination of leather and suede. At the bottom of those doors, vintage-look carpet, which is protected by color-keyed Backdraft Racing floor mats, frames billet foot pedals, a leather-booted emergency brake and an attractive BDR shifter. In front of the driver, a stylish wood steering wheel spins satin-finish spokes around a BDR horn button. And behind the passengers, a fully finished trunk hides a Backdraft battery behind a surprisingly large amount of storage space. OUR SALE INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTATIONThe car's Backdraft Racing Roadster ManualA component manual for the car's Vintage Air heating system Professionally finished, sinister to look at and frighteningly fast, this cool Cobra delivers on all the promises made by its spectacular appearance. How about this: take one custom, tube-frame chassis, wrap it in high-quality Antiques & Collectibles composite, and plant a 505 horsepower, twin turbo small block up front to incite whiplash-inducing acceleration. Priced for less than the cost of building one yourself, this exclusive Cobra is a car you can keep, drive and enjoy for years to come. In fact, this one-time prototype is so well engineered that it appeared in both Hot Rod Magazine and Kit Car Builder Magazine. And, when you factor in the added convenience of firing it up and driving it right out of our RK Motors Charlotte showroom, it becomes the ultimate classic for any enthusiast who wants a complete, road-ready package! HISTORY When Corky Bell set out to build the world's most high tech Cobra, he assembled a talented cast of gearheads and began what would eventually be called Project Mongoose. A career engineer turned SCCA racer, Bell had acquired quite a reputation captaining brands like Japanese GT Cars, CarTech and the Bell Experimental Group. And that reputation, perpetuated through vast involvement in many different facets of automobilia, created plenty of contacts with top designers and engineers. Work primarily focused on creating athletic mechanicals that bettered the classic Cobra driving experience, and creating a cockpit that would actually sell to someone over average height. Ultimately, the build combined many high quality aftermarket components with a twin turbo V8, 11 custom cast parts and a slick Antiques & Collectibles composite body. And today, wearing a screaming coat of Bright Yellow urethane, the car rolls as a virtually timeless hot rod that looks like a 10 and drives like an 11! ENGINE Tilt the louvered hood and you'll find a professionally built Ford Windsor block that's been bored and stroked to 385 cubic inches. Churning 505 rear wheel horsepower into 540 lb./ft. of pavement-scorching torque, that proven mill wraps an Eagle crank, Eagle rods, forged JE pistons and a Crower hydraulic cam in a full array of track-ready ancillaries. Conical air cleaners whip 7.5 psi of wind through stainless, TIG-welded tubes and proven Garrett T4 turbochargers. Fossils flow from twin Pierburg pumps to 52 lb./hr. fuel injectors. At the top of the Cast Silver mill, billet throttle bodies front a custom Bell Experimental Group upper intake and Trick Flow lower intake. The aforementioned air and fuel make their way to aluminum Canfield cylinder heads, which hide Crower aluminum rockers and Crower hydraulic lifters under monochromatic valve covers. When those heads flood the cylinders, Electromotive TEC3 engine management sequences fire through high quality Electromotive coil packs. As combustion is sparked, resultant gases are jettisoned through waterjet-cut, Heliarc-welded headers into 3-inch, Mandrel-bent side pipes that were supplied by Burns Stainless. That combustion's cooling is provided by a custom Ron Davis radiator, which stores water in front of quick-spinning electric puller fans. And high quality componentry, like a MOCAL oil cooler, a Canton Road Race oil pan and TiAL wastegates, paints a concise representation of a very skilled, systematic approach to defining "the world's most high tech Cobra". DRIVETRAIN/SUSPENSION The best thing about this high quality, expertly built roadster is its ability to run circles around almost anything at the track. Take a look under the car and you'll find a rigid 2-inch square-tube frame that, in addition to providing 14-15K lb./ft. of deflection, places 57% of the car's weight over its rear axles. Numbers like that aren't mere coincidence, as Bell hired Ron Nash, the whiz formerly associated with Buick, Roush's Merkur program and Newman & Sharps Nissans, to design Project Mongoose's foundation. That monocoque-reinforced foundation makes good use of a Porsche G50/50 5-speed transaxle, which has been reversed, inverted and mounted between a custom driveshaft, a Porsche limited-slip differential and a familiar Centerforce clutch pack. Aside from providing excellent feel, that relatively modern transmission enables the car to achieve 60 MPH in first gear while being mild-mannered enough to chase freeway traffic in fifth. That incredible drivetrain rides on a fully independent suspension, which is fitted with Heim joints, Aldan coil-over-shocks and Woodward power rack-and-pinion steering. At the corners of that suspension, Baer 4-piston calipers clamp big, slotted rotors to provide consistent, sure-footed stops that are all day strong, all day long. And power meets the pavement via 17-inch Team III alloys that spin fresh 245/40 BF Goodrich g-Force T/As in front of 275/40 BF Goodrich g-Force T/As. INTERIOR Cobra interiors have always been simple, and one look inside the Mongoose reveals just how serious the car's aspirations are when it comes to being track-focused. Chopped Miata buckets stretch tight leather hides between 5-point Simpson safety harnesses. In front of those seats, a textured dash founds Racepak Data Systems telemetry above billet foot pedals that can be adjusted to the height of the driver in roughly an hour. At the sides of that dash, lightweight doors frame steel intrusion bars in custom hinges and custom handles. Below those doors, clean carpet frames direct-mount seat brackets, which lower the driving position enough to accommodate operators up to 6'9" tall. That operator stays connected to the asphalt thanks to a leather-wrapped billet steering wheel and beefy Bell Experimental Group shifter. And the passengers' cargo stows in an aluminum-lined trunk that's fitted with an integrated battery cut-off. OUR SALE INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTATIONA couple of component manualsA copy of the car's feature in Kit Car Builder MagazineA copy of the car's feature in the April, 2006 edition of Hot Rod Magazine With its high quality build, killer small block and track ready drivetrain, this vivid Cobra wraps an unmatched driving experience in spectacular good looks. When it comes to replica cars, craftsmanship is the number one issue; and quality engineering on both the manufacturer and assembler side is crucial for a product that can persevere as long as you want to tear up the road. If you're looking for a reliable, fully sorted thrill machine that's just as happy on Main Street as it is on the race track, you've found your next car! Enthusiasts that missed the early-buying boat have spent the last few decades running straight up a value curve that just won't stop. And when Carroll Shelby passed, the demand for authentic Shelby Mustangs hit an all-time high. Decked in full GT350 regalia, and featuring a hot 289/4-speed drivetrain, this professionally restored coupe is a literal embodiment of the storied Shelby spirit. And if you're a discerning enthusiast who demands the very best in high caliber, investment grade muscle, it's the classic you've been patiently waiting for! According to this stellar pony car's Deluxe Marti Auto Works Report, it was assembled on March 16th, 1967 in San Jose, California and shipped to Brondes Motor Sales in Toledo, Ohio with the following door data and optional equipment: FORD SERIAL NUMBER:7 - 1967 model yearR - Assembled in San Jose, California02 - Mustang FastbackK - 289-4V hi-performance V8 SHELBY SERIAL NUMBER:67 - 1967 model year2 - 289 hi-performance V8 that's complete with Shelby modifications0 - 4-speed transmission0 - Base vehicle (No air conditioning or thermactor)F - Fastback4 - Ford #1619-A Wimbledon White paintA - Black interior OPTIONAL EQUIPMENT:Extra Cooling PackageCourtesy Light GroupFold down rear seatPower steeringPower front disc brakesInterior Dcor GroupHeavy duty batteryTachometer and trip odometer The beneficiary of a professional, ground up restoration, this slick 60s pony features a correct layer of Ford Wimbledon White two-stage that's highlighted by traditional GT350 war paint. Take one look down the sides of the car's rock-solid body and it becomes very obvious that great care was taken to ensure every panel is aligned to better-than-factory standards. Step closer to that body's mirror-like pigment and check out its straight and ripple-free surfaces, which are a product of both clean OEM sheetmetal and high quality replacement parts. Grab the pivotal pieces of that well-adjusted sheetmetal and experience the kind of excellent fit that's right at home reflecting a summertime car show. Then step back to admire one well-done classic that's built to exacting specifications thanks to a great combination of skilled workmanship and first-rate finishing techniques. Shelby's GT line threw fuel on the muscle car fire by not only adding power, but also introducing some of the coolest and most aggressive Mustang design elements ever created. At the front of this coupe, a mesh grille hangs a familiar "SHELBY G.T. 350" emblem between big Ford driving lamps, clear headlights and a bright chrome bumper. At the top of that grille, an original Shelby hood leads the eye to chip-free glass, which is founded in mirrored stainless trim. Behind that glass, correct Shelby quarter scoops ride between small stainless mirrors and a correct, SHELBY-branded decklid. At the sides of that decklid, a straight profile hangs correct Shelby cove scoops between traditional door handles and clean GT350 emblems. And at the back of that profile, correct tail lights and a detailed fuel filler complement a second chrome bumper, bright reverse lamps and beefy stainless exhaust tips. Now that you've waded through all the flowery prose about paint and stainless trim, it's time to get down to business. Lift this Shelby's lightweight hood and you'll find an original, 289 cubic inch small block V8 that displays a correct C5AE-6015E casting number below a February (B) 15th (15), 1967 (7) casting date. Completely rebuilt during the car's extensive restoration, that storied Cobra Hi-Riser twists stout 10.5 to 1 compression into an impressive 306 horsepower! At the top of the rugged Windsor block, a correctly decaled air cleaner jams oxygen into a correct aluminum intake via correct Holley carburetion. At the sides of that intake, high performance heads hang attractive Cobra crinkle-finish valve covers between a chrome Ford breather and stainless Tri-Y headers. The engine's fires are lit by a traditional points distributor, fresh plug wires, Autolite plugs and a familiar Autolite coil. That fire is kept at bay by a correct Extra Cooling Package, which includes new FoMoCo hoses, reproduction tower clamps and a fresh FoMoCo radiator. Pressure for that radiator comes courtesy of new V-belts, which spin a rebuilt water pump between a deep-groove Autolite alternator and correct power steering. And the whole process is kicked into motion by an Autolite-topped battery, which jolts current through snazzy Autolite cables. Aesthetically, this Mustang's exceptionally detailed engine bay appears very close to original, featuring an even combination of Ford Blue and Satin Black paint under correct Ford decals. And everything, from the car's fresh brake booster to its Carter fuel pump, is fully-sorted and virtually spotless. Take one look under this awesome GT350 and you'll find exceptionally clean, expertly detailed floors that are every bit as solid as the car's straight exterior panels. Behind the legendary V8, a 1968 Toploader 4-speed spins a rugged Ford 9-inch. At the front of that drivetrain, straight control arms hang a beefy sway bar and correct power steering between fresh rotors and 4-piston calipers. At the back of that drivetrain, correct leaf springs hang traditional, power-assisted drums at the edges of modern traction bars and a stainless fuel tank. At the center of the car, an aluminized, true-dual exhaust system funnels spent gases through an H-shaped crossover, dual-chamber Flowmasters and slick stainless tips. At the edges of the car, power flows through correct E70-15 Goodyear Speedway 350s, which are wrapped around razor-sharp Shelby 10-spokes. And everything, from this Ford's oxide-primered floors to its correctly marked driveshaft, looks as good as the day it left the factory. Inside this killer pony car's impressive cockpit you'll find a stylish deluxe interior that was completely reconstructed during the car's stellar restoration. Naturally, Shelby focused most of his energy on the performance and exterior appearance of the car; and when those attributes were combined with Ford's already excellent interior, it paid big dividends. The first thing you'll notice is an old school wood-rimmed and satin-trimmed steering wheel that spins around a silver GT350 centerpiece. Above that steering wheel, a great looking dash founds a correct 140 MPH speedometer next to a correct 8,000 RPM tachometer. In front of that dash, plush vinyl buckets, which probably haven't broken double digit hours in seat time, present no evidence of sun damage or rot. Beneath those seats, new black carpet and bright stainless sills center a simple shifter between a chrome fire extinguisher, thick rubber mats and authentic Stewart Warner gauges. Above that carpet, a sturdy black roll bar hangs correct shoulder belts below a fade-free headliner. At the sides of that roll bar, stylish door panels feature excellent stainless trim, spotless chrome handles and fresh silver accents. And behind the passengers, familiar Shelby vents ride above a folding rear seat and correctly restored trunk. As you might imagine, the sale of this investment grade Ford includes ample documentation. Here's a chronological list of what the new owner will receive:A copy of the car's original production orderA copy of the Daily Production Report that includes the car's serial numberA copy of the car's original invoiceA partial ownership historyThe Deluxe Marti Auto Works Report outlined aboveThe car's Shelby Registry Report There are few classics that have the kind of attitude and presence of an old school Shelby. And if previous trends are any indication, these cars will continue to gain value as they become more exclusive and more collectible. This professionally restored GT350 is a documented, fully-sorted super star that drives and sounds every bit as good as it looks. And in the world of specialty Mustangs, the name Carroll Shelby has always been synonymous with extreme performance and big exclusivity. If you can find a pristine Shelby Mustang that's been correctly restored and has all the right hardware, you can get a serious investment grade classic with an upward value curb that seems to have no end. And if you've ever dreamed of owning a rare Shelby GT350 that's so nice it was awarded First in Class at the 2012 Mid-America Team Shelby Performance Meet, you've clicked the right icon! Packing a fully detailed K-Code 289 and a tough Toploader 4-speed in a freshly restored wrapper, this fully documented Mustang is 1 of 35 '67 Shelbys to wear a supercharger, and 1 of only 5 to be painted Candyapple Red. Are you a prospecting enthusiast who's looking for long-term gains via a pristine example of one of the finest muscle cars ever produced? Then dive right in and take a long look at this world class Shelby! According to this stellar pony car's Deluxe Marti Auto Works Report, it was assembled on May 4th of 1967 in San Jose, California with the following door data and options: DOOR PLATE:67 1967 model year2 289 cubic inch hi-performance V8 with Shelby modifications0 4-speed manual transmission0 Base vehicle (No air conditioning or thermactor)F Fastback9 Candyapple Red paint: Ford #2008-AA Black interior02309 Consecutive Shelby production number OPTIONAL EQUIPMENT:Extra Cooling PackageCourtesy Light GroupFold down rear seatPower steeringPower front disc brakesInterior Dcor GroupHeavy duty batteryTachometer and trip odometer Assembled nine days behind schedule, this pristine '67 Shelby GT350 was shipped to Robie Ford in Dorchester, Massachusetts and likely saw very little showroom time before its awesome power and killer style were unleashed on Boston's mean streets. But, as with many cars, this Mustang's northeast christening was only the beginning of its journey, as the next two decades were spent traveling through the dry climates of Arkansas, Texas and Arizona. And at the end of the first muscle car boom, circa 1990, a highly detailed restoration, envisioned by a new sequence of owners, was started but never completed. It wouldn't be until March of 2011 when the car's current owner, an MCA Gold Card judge, would successfully execute a nut and bolt rotisserie rebuild. And that first class rebuild, which stripped and reworked all of the car's panels into a combination of super smooth surfaces and laser straight lines, was constructed of strictly original and NOS pieces. Once those pieces were fully prepped and displayed an excellent level of fit, a correct coat of Ford Candyapple Red basecoat was buried in a thick clearcoat shell. Once that clearcoat was completely dry, correct "G.T.350" stripes were laid over a fantastic, buffer-fresh shine. And the result is one top notch Shelby showpiece that's literally as close to concours perfect as any road-ready car can get. Shelby's GT line threw fuel on the muscle car fire by not only adding power, but also introducing some of the coolest and most aggressive Mustang design cues ever created. At the leading edge of this slick GT350, a pristine chrome bumper dissects a correct Shelby grille which hangs familiar FoMoCo driving lights between a fresh "SHELBY G.T. 350" badge, bright halogen headlamps and bullet-style parking lights. At the top of that grille, correct chrome lanyards lead the eye past a lightweight fiberglass hood to like-new glass that's framed by bright stainless trim, spotless stainless wipers and a correct chrome mirror. At the sides of that glass, correct Shelby scoops and correct Shelby fender caps combine with factory fresh Cobra emblems and traditional chrome door handles to provide an aggressive, yet finished appearance. And at the back of the car, a familiar Shelby decklid hangs a second "SHELBY G.T. 350" badge over traditional Shelby tail lights, a handsome Cobra fuel filler, a second chrome bumper, highly detailed reverse lamps and bright stainless exhaust tips. Now that you've waded through all the flowery prose about paint and stainless trim, it's time to get down to business. Lift this Shelby's glossy red hood and you'll find a fresh 289 cubic inch small block V8 that displays a correct C5AE-6015E casting number below an era-correct April (D) 18th (18) of 1967 (7) casting date. Completely rebuilt from its carburetor all the way down to its Ford Blue oil pan, this Mustang's Cobra Hi-Riser motor utilizes a heavy duty crank and rotating assembly, a hot NOS C30Z-6250-C camshaft, solid lifters and a correct C180802107 Paxton supercharger to transform stout 10.5 to 1 compression into an impressive 450 horsepower! At the top of that rugged Windsor block, a rare blower, dated February 10th, of 1967, jams oxygen into a big 4-barrel carburetor that's bolted to a correct S7MS-9424A hi-riser intake. At the sides of that intake, high performance heads, which were cast on February (B) 3rd (3) of 1967 (7), hang attractive Cobra crinkle-finish valve covers between a chrome Ford breather and date-correct exhaust manifolds that wear C7ZE-9431-A left, and C7ZE-9430-A right, casting numbers. The engine's fires are lit by an authentic dual-point distributor, fresh black plug wires and NOS BF32 Autolite spark plugs. Cooling for those fires is provided by an original radiator, dated from April of 1967, which sends water past a unique pulley fan via fresh FoMoCo hoses, reproduction tower clamps and reproduction screw clamps. Pressure for that radiator comes courtesy of new V-belts which spin a correct C60-F-A water pump between a rebuilt Autolite alternator and an era-correct power steering pump. And the whole process is kicked into motion by a reproduction Autolite Sta-Ful battery that jolts current through snazzy Autolite cables. Aesthetically, this Mustang's exceptionally detailed engine bay appears very close to original and features an even combination of satin black and Ford Blue paint under correct Ford decals. And everything, from the car's March of 67 (7) harmonic balancer to its April (4) of 1967 (7) C50E-6059-A front engine cover, is fully-sorted and absolutely spotless. Take one look under this awesome GT350 and you'll find exceptionally clean, expertly detailed floors that are every bit as solid as the car's straight exterior panels. Behind Ford's legendary V8 an original close-ratio Toploader 4-speed, which is branded with a Mustang-exclusive RUG-N1 build stamp, spins a correct open differential between tall 3.89 gears, original axles and an April (D) 10th (10) of 1967 (7) casting date. At the front of the car, rebuilt torsion bars hang a correct sway bar and factory power steering between fresh calipers and NOS rotors. At the back of the car, rebuilt leaf springs hang Shelby-exclusive 2.5 inch FoMoCo brake drums at the edges of a new stainless fuel tank. In the middle of the car, an aluminized true dual exhaust system funnels spent gases through a traditional H-pipe crossover, original-style exhaust clamps, long resonators and a reproduction transverse muffler that's complete with correct stampings. At the edges of the car, Ol' Shel's power flows to the pavement through correct E70-15 Goodyear Speedway rollers that are wrapped around razor-sharp Magstar wheels. And everything from this Ford's oxide-primered floors to its correct transmission crossmember, dated April (4) 21st (21) of 1967 (7), looks better than the day the car rolled out of the factory. Inside this killer pony car's impressive cockpit you'll find a correct deluxe interior that was painstakingly reconstructed using a stellar combination of original and reproduction pieces. Naturally, Shelby focused most of his energy on the performance and exterior appearance of the car; and when those attributes were combined with Ford's already excellent Mustang interior, it paid big dividends. The first thing you'll notice is an old school wood-rimmed and chrome-trimmed EPPI steering wheel that spins around a gold GT350 centerpiece. Above that steering wheel, a great looking dash frames a correct 140 MPH speedometer, a correct 8,000 RPM tachometer and a Ford AM radio in satin silver trim. In front of that dash, plush vinyl seats, which probably haven't broken double digit hours in seat time, present no evidence of sun damage or rot. Beneath those seats, new black carpet and bright stainless sills center an original Ford shifter between thick rubber mats and authentic Stewart Warner gauges. Above that carpet, an original black roll bar hangs original shoulder belts below a fade-free headliner. At the sides of that roll bar, stylish black door panels feature excellent stainless trim, spotless chrome handles and fresh silver accents. And at the back of the cockpit, familiar Shelby vents ride above a folding rear seat that expands a small cargo hold. As you might imagine, the sale of this investment grade Ford includes ample documentation. The good ole days of fire-breathing muscle cars were long gone, but enthusiasts still thrived. And a new generation of gearheads latched onto small, easy to own hatchbacks like this all-original Shelby Charger. The L-Body Charger, American style with a touch of international power, was a pretty rare car; and it made no qualms about catering directly to enthusiasts. Because of that, most of these global featherweights were whipped to an early grave by three or four different owners. And, as any '80s car fan will tell you, finding a Shelby Charger that's in good condition is becoming extremely difficult. Well, until now... This 13,336 actual mile coupe is an exceptional example of just that. Pampered and paraded its entire life, this Dodge is an impressive time capsule that'll transport you right back to the days when performance was more than just horsepower! The most significant piece of ample documentation, this MoPar's original window sticker breaks down as follows: STANDARD EQUIPMENTAccelerator pedal that features heel/toe capability335-amp maintenance-free batteryCarpeted interior and cargo areaCigarette lighterCoolant reservoirCorrosion protectionShelby decalsElectric cooling fanElectronic ignitionElectronic voltage regulatorFront wheel driveInterior hood releaseDual hornsHood insulationLighted ashtrayLocking glove boxMirrors- Day/night rearview mirror- Passenger's vanity mirror- Dual remote exterior mirrorsHeavy duty radiatorAM radioDeluxe seatbeltsSound insulationMultifunction steering column controlSport steering wheelPerformance transaxle- 2.78 final drive ratioDeluxe intermittent wipers OPTIONAL EQUIPMENTZS24: Dodge Shelby Charger 2-door hatchback ($00)- Heavy duty power front disc and rear drum brakes- Free-standing center arm rest- Rallye instrument panel that includes a tachometer, clock and trip odometer- Front storage console- Performance exhaust system that's complete with a bright oval tip- Tinted windows- Unique front fascia and bodyside skirts- Halogen headlamps- Power liftgate release- Rear spoiler- 14.1 quick-ratio power rack-and-pinion steering- Sport Special Handling Suspension- Special 15-inch cast aluminum wheels- PCA: Santa Fe Blue and Radiant Silver paint- S5AC: Dual reclining seats which wear cloth upholstery under Shelby logosD25: 5-speed manual transmission ($00)E68: 2.2 liter high performance 4-cylinder engine ($00)K2J: Tape graphics ($00)R35: AM/FM stereo ($109)U11: 195/50R15 steel-belted radials ($00) DELIVERED TO: Danville Chrysler Plymouth in Danville, IndianaVEHICLE PRICE: $8,290DESTINATION: $312OPTIONAL EQUIPMENT: $109MANUFACTURER'S SUGGESTED RETAIL PRICE: $8,711 By 1983, this Belvedere-built coupe had become an established player in America's re-invigorated compact car market. Eccentric gearheads knew if you wanted to look cool, you bought an L-Body. And if you wanted to look cool and go fast, you bought a Shelby L-Body. Averaging just over 430 miles per year, this pint-size MoPar appears to have rarely seen anything other than sunshine and warm summer days. A quick check of the car's undercarriage and suspension reveals no evidence of catastrophic rust or abuse. A quick check of the car's profile reveals its body has never seen any major repairs. And a quick check of our pictures confirms its original Santa Fe and Radiant Silver skin is both bright and glossy. That's right, even 31 years after it rolled out of the showroom this spry sports coupe is still a true head turner everywhere it goes! With its low window sills and 2.5-box proportions, this Shelby is a model of early '80s cool. At the front of the car, an aggressive, Shelby-designed air dam centers a black pentastar and clean "DODGE" script between clear parking lamps and bright halogen headlights. At the top of that dam, a sloped hood leads the eye to tinted and "SHELBY" branded glass that's flanked by small mirrors and aerodynamic C-pillar trim. At the base of that glass, a planar profile hangs black door handles and a body-matched fuel filler above straight Shelby stripes and pentastar-branded rocker extensions. And at the back of that profile, a dramatic Shelby spoiler frames clean tail lights, a full array of decklid emblems and an original dealer decal. In their effort to improve the Charger, Shelby and Chrysler did not overlook the car's mechanicals. They tweaked the engine, milling the block 0.030 inches to raise compression to 9.6 to 1. They changed the camshaft timing by advancing the cam a few degrees. They also made modifications to the 2.2 liter's electronic controls to extract optimum performance. Consequently, the Shelby powerplant develops 13 more horsepower and 10 more lb./ft. of torque than the standard Omni mill. These enhancements, plus a lower final drive ratio, make the car a tick quicker than the standard Charger and its early '80s competition. Specifically, the Shelby has a 0 to 60 time of 10 seconds flat and a 117MPH top speed. The engine compartment in this L-Body is mostly original and in great condition. And, decked in black and blue, it's as serious looking as the rest of the car, with just a hint of color here and there to add both texture and contrast. Shelby Chargers came standard with an A525 5-speed that feeds the front wheels. Holding that tossable drivetrain off the ground is an original Special Sports Suspension that utilizes shorter springs, stiffer shocks and correct power front disc and rear drum brakes to both lower the car and improve already responsive handling. At the center of that chassis, an original single-pipe exhaust system snakes spent gases through a factory-correct muffler. At the corners of that chassis, original 'pizza' wheels spin original 195/50R15 Goodyear Eagle GTs around locking lug nuts. And, still dressed in most of its blue overspray, this Charger is a clean, fully sorted survivor that's ready to hit the road as soon as it rolls out of our showroom! This coupe's tri-tone cockpit, which nicely complements its 2-tone exterior, shows hardly any signs of wear. The reclining seats keep you as comfortable for quick blasts of speed as they do during long road trips. In front of the driver, a pliable dash, which shows zero defects, is packed full of gauges that work exactly as they should. At the center of that dash, you'll find a correct AM/FM stereo. Between the aforementioned seats, crack-free consoles prop a black shifter on gray carpet that's protected by carpeted and color-keyed floor mats. At the sides of that carpet, factory door panels, which are typically faded and ballooned from heat, look good-as-new. And when you open the car's hatch, you'll find a clean cargo area that's showroom fresh in virtually every way. The sale of this small Dodge includes:A vintage dealer brochureAn original window stickerAn original owner's manualOriginal warranty and accessory booklets. An original New Vehicle Preparation checklistOriginal paperwork for the car's rust proofing and cassette radioOriginal keys and key tagsAn original Title ApplicationOriginal registrations from '83-86An original temporary tagA vintage Hot Rod Magazine AdAn emissions recall letter from 1990A memo pad of service recordsA pamphlet for the Shelby Dodge Automobile Club Whenever we post unique, low mileage survivors, they sell almost immediately. A whole generation of buyers grew up with these endearing coupes. And since they're becoming increasingly scarce, the good ones get snapped up as quickly as they hit the market. If you're an enthusiast who likes to put their hardware on the road, few classics deliver this blend of exclusivity and practicality. And with only 13,336 original miles, this is one MoPar that'll have you smiling every time you slide behind its wheel! BODY Complementing smooth Torch Red 2-stage with bright Shelby call-outs, this spotless Mustang has spent the majority of its life parked in dry storage. Thanks to that shelter, and a noted aversion to rain and wintry weather, the car's most recent owner maintained factory-fresh aesthetics that would be right at home in a dealer's showroom. According to CARFAX, those aesthetics are 100% straight with no history of accidents or damage of any kind. And, according to that same owner, the car benefitted from $8,000 of Ford Racing options before it even logged break-in miles. DRIVETRAIN/SUSPENSION The reborn GT500 celebrated one of the most successful partnerships in performance car history. Take a look under this Mustang's lightweight hood and you'll find a blown 'mod motor' that was heavily influenced by Ford's first generation GT super car. Twist the key and the big V8 rumbles to life, pushing baritone notes through an X-shaped crossover and optional Ford Racing exhaust. Goose the throttle and a roots-style supercharger utilizes an upgraded 2.59 pulley to zing the engine toward redline. That added boost is optimized by cold air induction and VMP tuning. Items like a proven Optima battery and aluminum idler pulley ensure everything stays smooth and reliable. A spotless appearance mixes assembly line technicality with the added pizazz of Shelby reservoir caps, a cobra-branded fuse box and a slick Shelby battery clamp. And it all adds up to one nicely dressed mill that meets the car's flywheel with roughly 600 horsepower! This coupe's excellent, SVT-tuned chassis has been augmented with optional Ford Racing springs, which lower ride height by close to two inches. Between those springs, a slick-shifting Tremec TR6060 6-speed spins power to a tough Ford 8.8-inch axle. At the corners of the car, power-assisted Brembo calipers join power-assisted Ford calipers in squeezing big, vented rotors. Turns come courtesy of Ford's super-efficient power rack-and-pinion setup. Naturally, standard ABS and traction control systems are present and accounted for. And all this first class agility rides on "SVT" branded kicks, which twist 255/45ZR18 Goodyear Eagle F1s in front of 285/40ZR18 Goodyear Eagle F1s. INTERIOR Inside the car, bolstered seats, which feature embossed Cobra insignias, ride opposite a monochromatic, leather-wrapped steering wheel that's adorned with convenient thumb buttons. The dash is a familiar Mustang layout that frames satin-trimmed telemetry and a programmable "SVT" shift light. Below that dash, a powerful Shaker 1000 stereo utilizes a 6-disc CD changer to become a 1-stop shop for all your audio entertainment needs. Below that stereo, a clean console frames a short-throw shifter that, like the aforementioned steering wheel, is detailed in red French stitching. Beneath that console, rich carpet flows past metal-trimmed foot pedals and cobra-branded floor mats to "SVT" branded sills. And naturally, all the luxuries you'd expect in a modern muscle car are ready and waiting including: cruise control, power windows, power door locks, power mirrors, a power driver's seat and Remote Keyless Entry.
