We purchased this vehicle after it was donated. It ran and drove, but like all Subarus, even the much newer ones, it was leaking oil. So, just like with our newer models, we removed the engine, cleaned it, resealed it and changed the timing belt, water pump, spark plugs etc. The engine is now dry and up to date on service. The entire car has been checked out, we have replaced the tires and performed a state inspection. The windshield is new and the car has been professionally cleaned. This is a Southern car from here in NC. The paint is still very good with the exception of some stone chips consistent with the age and mileage. The interior is remarkably clean, especially the seats. The inside really doesn't look like a 200k mile car. The a/c blows cold and the power features all work with the exception of the right rear window. This is a quirky little car both in appearance and function especially in comparision to the modern Subarus. The 4WD in this car is manually engaged by pushing a button on the shifter making it an on-demand type system and allowing the car to be in FWD most of the time for better fuel economy. This is a neat old car that could appeal to long time Subaru buyers, folks who like 80's cars, or someone who just wants a reliable, efficient, 4WD vehicle.
