Recently returned from a 400 mile trip with no issues whatsoever. The 5-speed paired with the 4.11 gears and 33 inch tires combines very well for low and high speed driving. Odometer reads 230k, 2f donor motor had 170k. With a new paint job this would be one of the baddest cruisers around. In the spirit of full disclosure, here's what I know is wrong with the vehicle: -Clear coat on hood and tops of fenders is gone from years in the sun. -Several small areas of rust are present with the worst being on the upper tailgate. I have lightly sanded most areas and painted with POR-15. -Front and rear of the vehicle has many rock chips through the paint that have turned to surface rust. -Typical dents and scratches. Larger dents lower portion of drivers door and by passenger headlight. -Engine idles great 95% of the time but does stumble the other 5% -Rear drivers side door window switch is not working -Chrome wheels are covered in surface rust. Hi! Up for sale is a 1982 Toyota Pickup Diesel 5 speed with 210k. The truck starts good, runs good, and mechanically is very good. Clutch and transmission are good as well. The frame is shot and very very rusted. The body is what you see in the pics. You can run and drives the truck as the previous owner did, however, it's unsafe and should only be used as a donor truck. There is no AC. The original radio works. Believe it or not this farm truck hasn't been smoked in.... So the good is that the diesel drivetrain is solid, there are many glass parts that are good, and I do have a clear clean title on this truck. Beside the rust, other issues include one of the tires has a slow leak, the batteries are older and weaker and lose charge, and the engine does have a small fuel leak somewhere, and drips very slowly right under the truck slightly the the drivers side middle when parked. It's no gushing out...just a slow drip. By the way the antifreeze is very green and clean. I do believe this truck is excellent mechanically for what you would expect, and again it does run and drive right down the highway just as it is. The truck is sold as is and with no warranty.
