*RUST FREE* 1981 Volkswagen Vanagon Westfalia127,--- MilesRUNS & DRIVESNew;- Windsheild- Fuel Pump- Fuel Lines- Master Cylinder - Plugs, Wires, Cap & Rotor- Starter- Grill & Head lights (Not installed yet) This is a project Vanagon, it has sat for many years and needs new tires, canvas top, some paint on the front and on the top. Brakes should be looked at, Carburetor needs to be rebuit.I do not know if the stove, fridge or sink work. However, considering for how long it sat and how old it is, its still in great shape. Has a few small dents here and there. You will need to have it trailered as the tires are weather checked and frankly I am not sure if it is road worthy to make a trip of distance. The following are major projects completed using professional mechanics (Cory Motors, Santa Barbara Ca.) and new parts. Mechanical records will be included in the sale. The bus has original paint and rust has been taken care of when possible. There are rust spots around the bus as well as dings and dents to be expected out of a vehicle of this age. These are cosmetic and can be taken care of with little issue and without a full body repair/paint job. We did not have a chance to re-upholster the bus. There are currently several large and small tears in the original green seating. Everything works as expected and the bed is still very comfortable. There are many affordable re-upholstery kits with a wide variety of patterns and colors available at VW speciality stores.Drivetrain & MechanicalOil change (Castrol 20w50) and valve adjustment every 2k miles minimum (ongoing)Engine mount reinforced including new hardware (2013)New fuel lines (2013)New heater hose (2013)Ball joint replacement (2013)New ignition points (2013)New brake shoes all around (2013)Install new BFG All-Terrain tires (2013)Replace steering draglink (2013)New Scat dual carburetor linkage (2013)New speedometer cable (2013)New dual carburetors (2014)New steering box and professional alignment (2014)Horn replacement (2014)Alternator replacement (2014)New VW Exhaust (2014)Complete brake job (wheel cylinders, shoes, and fluid) (2015)Complete ignition replacement (2016)Battery replacement (2016)InteriorHardwood Floor (2013)New 3-Point Seat Belts and Hardware (2013)Refinish, seal, and paint Westfalia Pop Top (2013)New front seat covers (2014)ExteriorNew wiper blade kit installed (Aug 2013)New side mirrors (2014)Rear hatch weather stripping (2015)2-Inch hitch receiver (2015)

1971 VW Westfalia, bought this in hopes of replacing the Westy interior and shipping off to Germany, they pay good money for a rust free Westy in Europe. I got way to busy for it so I just bought some original seats, rear and middle to enjoy with the kids. Bus runs excellent with a strong/torquey 1600 and 4 speed trans that does not pop out of gear and shifts smoothly, first year factory disc brakes, all lights work, windows, sliding door all work flawlessly. Passenger door only opens from the outside im guessing the cable to the latch needs replacing, needs canvas, other than that it's ready to drive anywhere. I have a set of Halogen headlights a Pertronix distributor and the starter relay fix kit, comes with the sale. New tires, new steering box, new front seat upholstery, C/D and speaker box. Will assist with shipping. Contact Demetri at wcshipping.com for international shipping 510.236.3008

Clean California title in my name. All the glass is there. Missing the lamps that go between the drivers side crank out windows. Also missing the curtain rods. Has a custom rear bumper with a hitch for towing. Very solid clean bus ready for the USA or abroad. Call with any questions Todd Foster 408.804.2742

***the sink unit for the bus is not in the pictures, but I have the correct one that will be here first week in October for the bus More photos available at: s42.photobucket.com/user/SoDakBoy/library/1973%20Orange%20Westfalia?sort=3&page=1 This is a beautiful 1973 Pop-top Westfalia Camper bus, completely rust free. This bus is still showing it's original orange paint from the VW factory! A couple of small spots were resprayed long ago where dents had been removed. The bus is complete, with the original Westy interior. It has brand new curtains! The rear upholstery is in pretty good condition but the front seats will need new upholstering. It's poptop functions fine but needs a new canvas, as well as a new canvass for the cot up top. This bus is very solid. There is no rust, hardly even any surface rust. It has a built in propane tank. The engine has compression but i haven't tried running it. Has been sitting for several years. I was told it ran fine when parked but the transaxle was not shifting into gear. Another 002 transaxle will come with the bus that I was told had 10,000 miles on it. The motor has a single progressive weber carb. I have too many projects and am moving, so this one has to go! Feel free to call with additional questions! 605-515-3237

1.9 watercooled engine with about 120,000 miles on it. Good condition, pop-up works and has no rips, I've gotten a lot of things fixed on it (and have the receipts, about $3,000 worth of stuff) and it has never broken down on me. I also had a solar panel put on top which is connected to an extra battery and an inverter, so it has outlets for you to plug in a computer, phone, stereo, fan, etc. even when it isn't running. Stove has propane tank attached to it. Just had it at the mechanic this weekend to get it checked out. They changed the fuel filter and put a new part in the engine, but other than that there is nothing majorly wrong with the engine. Has an exhaust leak and a lot of rust underneath but still runs great. Will need new brakes sometime soon. I've been travelling around in this van for about 9 months (Chicago to northern California, then LA, then SF, then all around the LA area) and it has been a beast!

1984 VW VANAGON Westfalia 1.9 liter THERE ARE OVER 100 PICTURES HERE, CLICK ON ANY PICTURE AND YOU WILL SEE ADDITIONAL PICTURES JUST BY SCROLLING WITH THE ARROW TAB ON THE RIGHT OF THE SCREEN: http://www.dropviewer.com/index.php/view-image/?option=com_gallery&id=2096 Hope you enjoyed the pictures above. Up for your consideration is my beautifully fully restored Westfalia. It has been meticulously taken apart literally piece by piece and has gone through a complete and extensive restoration back to factory new like condition. I have personally seen and examined many restored Westfalias as I consider myself a Westy aficianado and will put my restoration on the same par if not higher to those selling for 2 to 3 times my reserve price. I will try not to bore you with all the details of my restoration but here goes: Vehicle started out as a rust free and accident free California Westy. I purchased it from the 2nd owner who owned it since 1994 with 24k original miles. Majority of the repairs and service records were done at Volkswagen of Van Nuys, Ca. I have 2 folders of maintenance and repairs records for this Westy that goes back to 1994. Lets start with mechanicals: My westy has a fully rebuilt 1.9L engine with approximately 6k miles since rebuild! (have receipt) Full rebuild included but not limited to: Brand new pistons and rings. Rebuilt genuine GERMAN heads, not aftermarket. All new bearings. Rebuilt crankshaft and rebuilt rods. Brand new seals and gaskets. Brand new fuel injectors with new injector seals New German fuel lines. Engine has new belts, new plugs, new wires, and new fuel filter. Oil just changed ;-). The complete exhaust has been refinished and mounted with brand new exhaust gaskets, and new nut and bolt kit care of GoWesty. Engine is smooth and quiet and runs and sounds as great as it looks! Like I mentioned, it only has approximately 6000 miles on it since rebuild. It starts right up and runs like new with no leaking or weird or odd noises, etc. Will cruise at 65 mph without hesitation, this is the actual accurate speed . All the Vanagons with stock 14 inch wheel set up , it is up to10 mph off. New accelerator cable installed as they tend to wear and snap over time leaving you stranded. Manual transmission has been fully serviced with REDLINE full synthetic oil. All shift points have been inspected, cleaned, and greased. Van shifts smooth through all gears like new with no grinding or any issues whatsoever. New clutch disc, new throw out bearing, new needle bearing, and new pressure plate as well as a resurfaced flywheel were replaced with engine rebuild. Cooling system: The cooling system frequently gets neglected in these westys but not during my restoration. All coolant lines were inspected and then received a full coolant flush and refresh. (Radiator was replaced when motor was rebuilt) Van runs cool with no water leaks. . .anywhere. Gas tank is also brand new with all new german lines and seals. (OLD cracked fuel lines and gas leaks tend to be neglected or overlooked and could pose a dangerous situation for vanagon owners as we all know) I didn't want to be a statistic hence was super safe and refurbished and changed it all! Onto the axles: Braking system was fully rebuilt! Anything that could not be refurbished was bought new and replaced. DISC brakes in front have new rotors, new bearings, new seals, new brake pads, and rebuilt calipers. Rear brakes redone with new shoes and drums and all new hardware. All rubber brake lines were replaced front and rear with new German units, not aftermarket. Steering tie rods are both brand new, upper ball joints replaced new, lower ball joints were inspected and in good condition. Complete braking system has been completely flushed and refreshed and bled with new DOT 3 brake fluid. Westy drives solid with no slop or wiggles in front end, steers straight, and stops straight and on a dime! Westy rides on 4 new front and rear KYB performance shocks. Both CV axles were replaced brand new with new boots as these commonly wear out on you at the most unsuspecting time. Nothing was left untouched or unattended to during mechanical restoration to ensure safe, smooth, and troublefree operation for years to come! Now onto the exterior body and paint work. As I have mentioned, westy was a perfect restoration candidate being a rust and accident free, clean and dry California vehicle. Van was totally stripped of all rubber, all glass, all lights, all trim, and even the pop top prior to body and paint work. Even all the doors, slider and hatch were taken off to paint the jambs and all the crevices properly! Ask other restoration jobs if they do this, I doubt it. Talk about labor intensive but you only get the best results when everything is stripped off the vehicle. This is how the VW factory would have painted them. Masking is never perfect when painting a car and being a perfectionalist, I could not stand for any overspray. . .anywhere. Minor scratches and dings were repaired on the bare body and westy now sports a beautiful and shiny 2 stage Dupont base clear coat paint job. Paint was entirely color sanded and buffed to perfection! Van is glossy smooth now. Paint color is the original factory IVORY code L567. I am sure paint looks better now than the vw factory would have ever imagined. You can only fully appreciate the paint and body finish in person. It may look like other vanagons on the market in pictures, but believe me. IT IS NOT!! Van was painfully put back together with all new GERMAN window seals. Again, not the cheap, poor fitting aftermarket rubber found out there. We even replaced the glass seals on both front doors which is very difficult to do (often neglected and usually cracked and never replaced) New A pillar drip railings were also installed (genuine VW German moldings of course) All handles removed during restoration were lubed and refinished and replaced with new seals. Marker lights are all new. Windshield wipers refinished and replaced with new shaft seals. Even the win nozzles and seals are also new. Even the slider door cover seal is new and slider door hinge refurbished. Fuel door enclosure is all new (completely removed during gas tank and paint restoration and replaced new) Windshield is brand new with integrated tint strip, along with extended length brand new windshield wipers. Poptop tent is still the original GERMAN canvas, it is still in very good condition indicating that is was rarely used. TENT canvas is only original once and is hard or nearly impossible to find an original one in this shape. All sunroof parts were replaced new (seals, skylight, brakets, bolts) with GoWesty parts and new pop top and luggage rack seals were also installed care of GoWesty parts. Every nut and bolt was removed from luggage rack restored and replaced new with stainless steel units. Even luggage rack drain hole screens were replaced during luggage rack restoration. I bet you didn't know there were screens in there to keep junk and leaves from collecting under the luggage rack. Did you notice the poptop is body color? Both luggage rack and pop top were completely strippted and refinished and repainted to match body color. Even extra coats of clear (4 to be exact) were sprayed on pop top for better UV sun protection so it will be beautiful for years to come. Bumpers were upgraded to later model westfalias units. They were meticulously prepped and painted to match body color with the same attention to detail as everything else. European square headlights were also sourced from a later model westfalia They were fully cleaned, polished, and restored inside and out and have new bright Sylvania ULTRA bulbs in them. That is why they look new in the pictures. Grill was restored and rare new VW German emblem replaced in center. Rear view mirrors also upgraded to larger, safer, and sturdier late model units. (They were originally powered but I prefer to operate them manually to keep things simple) Westy has new GoWesty upgraded side hook ups with quick release nozzles installed. . .much better and user friendly than the old stock units. Both rear hatch struts are brand new. Every nut , bolt , screw are all stainless steel that has been replaced. Even the tail lights, side markers, front marker lights have stainless steel screws. Each typical stainless screw is over $1 a piece, it adds up. Interior restoration: Since the van interior was completely stripped for restoration, every nook and corner inside was thoroughly cleaned all all dirt, bugs, grease, dust, etc, etc. Then Dynamat sound insulation was installed everywhere that was possible. You can read about the benefits of Dynamat online but it is used for professional stereo installations to keep noise isolated and does wonders for keeping road noise out of the cabin. Van is a lot quieter driving down the highway now then when it was new. All the doors sound solid upon closing now. Interior panels / headliner were stripped and restored with New GoWesty material which fit and look awesome and original. Both front seats were sourced from a 91 Westfalia. They have the nice built in adjustable armrests with big knobs which I prefer over the older models with no adjustment. I had the entire front and rear seats as well as the rear cushion re-upholstered with high quality fabric to match the dark brown interior. Upper bunk was completely removed from vehicle and all fabric was thoroughly washed and shampooed clean. All the curtains are brand new from GoWesty. Including the curtains for the wrap around front door glass and windshield as well as the slider door for complete privacy. Van smells fresh and new inside because it essentially is. The refrigerator works on all 3 modes, 12v, 110v, and propane / both original ice trays are present (see pictures of it in action) The sink faucet works perfectly. The stove top also works perfectly and the grill top still has its original blue plastic protectant on it. Camper retains both front and rear tables. Both table legs as well as mounting bracket were re powder coated brown to match the interior. Propane tank and hardware was completely removed from vehicle, sand blasted and power coated gloss white to perfection. Tank was rebuilt with new filler, bleeder valves and new propane valve and is filled with fresh propane. The entire dash was removed for cleaning and restoration. All air ducts were cleaned out as historically crazy stuff gets into there! No more breathing in years of collected dust and debris, etc, etc. Front and rear dash fans works perfectly in all modes. And best yet: Factory air conditioning was fully serviced and blows COLD. Van has new A/C compressor and new drier. The entire air conditioning system was professionally evacuated / vacuumed and recharged with brand new Freon R134. It was temp tested and blows 30 degrees F even at idle (freezing). Original analog dash clock still keeps time perfectly. Everything works on the van down to the windshield washer squirters, wipers, and I mean everything just like the day it left the factory. Nothing needs attention or work. Stereo has been upgraded to a brand new Kenwood KDC-X996 Am/FM/CD with remote, Sirius Xm ready, Bluetooth, iPod, iPhone, Pandora, etc, etc. Brand new Kenwood front and rear speakers, brand new fully retractable Hirshman antenna / made in Germany of course. Brand new front RubberTite Hex tan floor mats protects the carpets, the entire carpeted areas of the van have been fully shampooed and cleaned removing all dirt / debris / stains / odors / etc, etc. Brand new fire extinguisher mounted inside. Westy sits on 16 inch Mercedes CLK forged alloys with brand new Michelin Defender 215/65/16 tires. These rims are super hard too find especially in original condition and are highly desirable for the vanagon owners since they are super strong and super light weight (14lbs) and are fit perfect. Light weight quality rims usually found on performance vehicles always improve braking, acceleration, gas mileage, and overall performance, but don't take my word for it, look it up for yourself. Michelin Defender tires are some of the best all season tires you can buy for the Westy and has high tread wear over 800. All lugs nuts and bolts are brand new. Westy just passed strict CA smog test as of Nov 2014 and is currently registered until January 2015. Title and insurance is under my name. Clean CARFAX, if you want a copy of it, just send me an email and I will be glad to forward it to you. Thank you for your interest and for taking the time to read my add! Here is a list of price breakdown for the build list: Engine rebuild with clutch set up, new rear axles, Red line oil, accelerator cable, etc. : $4000 All new brakes front and rear, bearings, seals, brake lines, calipers, ball joints, tie rods, etc. : $800 New gas tank , fuel lines, filters, seals etc...: $900 Paint restoration, cost of all new window seals, pop top seals, skylight and hardware, new windshield, door handle seals, slider cover seal, washer nozzles, wiper arm seals, this does not include my total labor time to prep and put all parts back on the van : $8500 Wheels and tires: $1500 Stereo, speakers, antennae: $300 GoWesty hookups: $165 Mud guards: $140 Interior with front seat upgrades, all new interior panels(except front door panels) and new headliner replacement and cost of new upholstery , new curtains, front floor mats, brake and clutch pad covers, Dynamat sound deadening material: $1550 Upgraded power mirrors, front and rear euro bumpers, later model headlights, grill, bulbs, new VW emblem: $1500 Powder coating of all parts mentioned on my ad: $300 Full a/c service, new compressor, new drier: $700 Plus the purchase price of the van And a bunch of other little things that I have not mentioned If you have any questions about my westy or its restoration process, please do no hesitate to ask. I know every square inch of the vehicle and the painful details it took to bring it back to factory if not better standards. I will be happy to assist the winning bidder with arranging any transporting needs.

For Sale: 1984 Volkswagen Vanagon WestfaliaMini Camper Van / Campmobile / Mini RV / Pop-up camper NEW Extended test drive video on the highway and around town with basic demo of vehicle operation, cockpit features, general info etc: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oWixEcojmjM Clear, clean title in hand, in my name 223,800 miles down, 223,800 to go! ;) Mileage on the odometer is understated as the van had larger light-duty truck tires and wheels put on about 6000 miles ago. Great condition, shows signs of age like any 30 year old vehicle that has been around the block and back but it has been well-maintained by capable owners over its life so far and it shows, inside and out. Just about everything is all original, interior and exterior. 1.9L Water-cooled engine with 4-speed manual transmission, fully rebuilt within the last 6k miles. Runs like a champ, gets up to 80+ on the highway with proper cruising velocity right at 65 MPH. Averages around 15MPG but you may experience more or less depending on how you drive. I am confident this van can make it across the country right now no sweat, as long as you're not in a hurry! Details: -Idling Engine Video on YouTube-Test Drive Video on YouTubehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oWixEcojmjM-Demo Test Drive on Highway and in traffic.
