2004 VW GTI 24V VR6 6sp manual Reflex Silver Metallic exterior with black GTI leather sport seats 151,xxx miles (about 12.5K miles/year) Located in Royersford, PA (about 30 miles west of Philly) Price: $6500 - pretty firm due to the amount of money into this car (approx $15K in repair/mods since 110k miles and complete overhaul done in past 3K miles at APR Tuning - see receipt in pics) Adult owned and garaged its entire life. I purchased the car in June 2012. The original owner had a fully documented maintenance history in the glovebox done at VW of Fredericksburg, VA up to 130K miles every 5K miles like clockwork. The car is running perfect now and I have had almost every wear and tear item on the car replaced, with a major overhaul done in the past 3K miles. It has been a garage queen for me for the past couple years and only driven on weekends. I am selling because of small twins now here and too many toys I don't use much. That being said, it could be driven across the country tomorrow without any issues. Overall Condition New PA inspection and emissions recently completed w/ stickers valid until Sept 2016 with new front and rear brakes/rotors, and all 4 tires done at inspection. The wheels on the car are in mint condition with zero scratches or curb rash. All lubricants changed when inspection was done. A more complete list of recent repairs is shown below and in the pics. A/C blows cold. There are no check engine or warning lights lit and no leaks of any fluids. All power windows/locks, instruments on dash, lights etc work fine. The car needs nothing mechanically and is one of the nicer cosmetically you will find. I would rate the interior/exterior condition 9/10. This car drives like it has 30K miles and I invite anyone looking for this model to drive this after others with less mileage. The engine pulls as hard as it did when new and virtually every mechanical part on this car has been replaced and the bulk of them have been done in the last couple thousand miles (as outlined below). Modifications ($7K in very slight, tasteful mods- rest of car is 100% stock) -ECS Stage 3 Suspension Refresh Kit (incl. lower control arm kit w/poly bushings,Inner/Outer tie rod ends, lower balljoints, upper strut mounts/bearings, and steering rack dust boots -Eibach Pro-system suspension kit with all new struts/shocks/springs -United Motorsports tuning software -Halo headlights -Smoked taillights & sidemarkers -APR Sport Exhaust - very classy looking and sounding (deep and throaty, not raspy) -APR Stage 1 Cold Air Intake -17-in RS style wheels with polished lip with new Yokahama tires on all corners. Exterior No accidents or body filler work has ever been done to any part of the metal body, straight as an arrow on every panel. The paint on the body is original and still has a rich shine to it. The car was parked in a garage for many and it looks that way. The paint is original so there are are light visible imperfections such as scratches and touched up spots (not professionally) that can be seen under very close inspection, in direct sunlight. Although it is not show quality, the car looks great and gets compliments anywhere it goes. Interior The interior of the car looks barely used with no tears or stains and has been well kept. I recently replaced the floor mats with rubber GTI OEM mats. There is a small 1-inch split in the stitching on the driver's seat (shown in pics) and minimal wear on the bolster from getting in and out. Other than that, the interior looks as close to new as you will find. Everything in the interior is OEM stock, including the factory VW Monsoon sound system. There are no missing trim pieces or cracks in any plastic pieces. The shift linkage is very smooth and all electrical items work. The car comes with the OEM flip open key fob, original owners manual, and spare tire came with the car new. The car was not ever smoked in and we have no pets. Up for sale, a very clean, rust free and well kept 1996 Volkswagen GTI with a Turbonetics T4 turbocharged VR6.This car has 97,000 miles and has always been well maintained. The engine was upgraded with an aftermarket sheetmetal aluminum intake manifold, head studs, and a new multilayer head gasket in preparation for the new Turbonetics T4 turbo and large front mount intercooler. The fuel system has been fitted with 43lb/hr injectors, new Bosch external fuel pump, and new Aeromotive fuel pressure regulator. The exhaust system is full 3" mandrel bent stainless steel, with a Magnaflow muffler. At 16 psi, this car makes approximately 360 horsepower to the front wheels. . This GTI has a full coilover suspension with all new polyurethane bushings,16" lightweight aluminum wheels and BF Goodrich tires. The transmission has been professionally rebuilt and fitted with a diesel fifth gear, new posi differential, short throw shifter, and a 6 puck competition clutch. Hi All, I am sad to have to sell this awesome car. Its so much fun to drive, it runs great, no problems at all and has extremely low miles. I believe I am the second owner of this car and I have only owned it for about a month. I have come up with a great opportunity to return to school which is why I need to get rid of it (I'll be living in a city so no need for it) otherwise I'd keep it as long as I possibly could. The previous owner had the car as long as I know and he worked at the VW dealership the entire time. The car has had regular oil changes every 3k miles, and has only ever been filled with 93 octane fuel to my knowledge. There is an aftermarket cool air intake and cat-back exhaust, the car sounds awesome!! Also the previous owner had done some custom fabric on the ceiling of the car which looks pretty cool, you can see it in the pictures. The leather is in great shape, theres little odds and ends that that need a little touch up, the center console spring is a bit out of wack but its just small stuff like that, nothing major. The car is in great shape, visually and performance wise. Its so fun to drive and Im really kind of bummer I have to sell it. This car is not perfect it ,however it is a very clean example of a STREET LEGAL RACE CAR and much cleaner than most MK2 you are going to see. At some point it appears title was rebuilt however I have the arkansas title to the car in previous owners name which appears to be clear.That being said Im making sure its listed as rebuilt though it likely is clean. All and all it will need a few things sorted im sure however the major stuff has been done, its solid on the road and the car is an absolute blast to drive! Exterior: Car looks great for a 92 vw sitting on the Ewing 16" wheels and Coilovers. I have not seen any major rust on this car. It comes with a Gti red paint job complete with multi black stripes.She has minor dings and blemishes around and some clear coat peel on roof however all and all I would say the car looks good and much better than most that I see. not perfect but very presentable in my opinion. see pics for further details as I feel pictures tell the story best. Interior: The inside of this car is very complete and well kept for a 92' though it will need a headliner, however overall its in great shape including the seats and almost all the little interior bits and pieces are intact which is very rare for an MK2(speaker grills,Buttons,trim, Door panel,handles ect..99% of the stuff is there and in great shape). Most importantly, It has a clean smoke free cabin, WORKING SUNROOF, working Mk3 Dash Cluster showing 129K (exempt) w/Engine light on which should be expected due to all the performance upgrades, Nice complete dash with a few expected cracks but looks great! Upgrades include Kenwood CD w/ipod connect and New Kenwood 6x9, Corrado steering wheel, Cluster mounted boost gauge, Innovate Motorsport Air Fuel gauge (digital), New GTI red stick shift boot cover in leather, and stainless shift knob. I would rate this interior way above average! Driving:Car runs and drives quite smooth. Engine is smooth on a morning start,runs strong and produces incredible power. Brakes are smooth,steering is tight and very responsive and the car handles corners with ease due to the strut bars,new tires on 16"wheels along with Raceland coilovers.
