Hello and welcome to the program!   Take a look at this VW Baja Bug! This car was built with no expense spared! This car is 100% ready to hit any trail, set of dunes or Sunday car show! This Bug needs nothing! This is not a project! This is a turnkey Baja Bug!    This Baja bug started life as a 1964 VW Beetle. Then a 1967cc Stroker Engine with dual Webber Carbs was added! Mated to that Powerful Power plant was a totally rebuilt transaxle and Cluth with a heavy duty pressure plate and throw out bearings. All the electrical wiring and harness is brand new with a majority of the wires being run through the frame and or body to prevent being hung up wile off roading.  Factory heat tubes in place and are functional.  The engine was built by a professional VW performance shop in San Francisco California.  The air scoop is functional, front axle was upgraded to disk brakes and the entire car sits on gas shocks.  Every gauge in the dash is functional, new off road tires and chrome wheels.  The moon roof works but requires a little help from time to time.  The restoration took 2 ½ years to complete and the engine has about 550 miles on it.  This Baja took second place at the Bugorama show in San Francisco last year! The Baja Bug will leave about a fifty cent spot of oil on the ground after sitting, known problem with all bugs.  This is the one you’ve been waiting for! This original, '59 VW Beetle (Body #2268125, Engine #2774328) is truly a time-warp car. Sold new in April, 1959. First owner lived in Merced, California. Second owner in Portland, Oregon where it resides today. Obviously always pampered and well-maintained. 62,150 miles showing on the odometer were verified as correct by the second owner. Paint is excellent and appears original. A few areas of touch-up over the years. ABSOLUTELY NO RUST. Body is straight with excellent panel fit and appears accident free. Interior is original and in very good condition. Some wear noted to the headliner. See photos. Carpets were replaced according to receipts with the car.
