1995 Volvo 850 station wagon. 143,000 miles. 5-speed manual transmission. Gray cloth interior in excellent condition. Traction control Draw-Tite trailer hitch (3,500lb trailer weight, 300lb tongue weight) with wiring adapter so you can connect trailer lights without sending the bulb-out-detector into a tizzy. Car is currently registered in New Hampshire, but was last titled in Massachusetts. Stereo is an aftermarket Alpine head unit with AM/FM/CD/MP3/iPod playback. Front door speakers are A/D/S 5" coxial two-way speakers. Tires are Bridgestone Blizzak WS-70 snow tires mounted on the original factory 15" steel wheels. They've been run for two winters already and should have a third winter left in them. I also have a set of Sumitomo HTR A/S P01 tires mounted on 16" Volvo alloy wheels that the buyer has the option to purchase for $500. The summer tires are NOT included in the price for the car. Car is in good running condition. Body is in good condition with only a couple of small rust bubbles near the rear window which have been treated with touch-up paint. There are scratches on the roof, and some paint issues on the plastic trim on the right side below the doors. There is also a very small dent on the left-rear door. There is a slow leak in the power steering (I usually add fluid about once a month), and a very slow antifreeze leak (I usually add antifreeze about once every three months). Like most of Volvo's 5-cylinder engines, there is some oil consumption....I have to add a quart about every 1,000 to 1,500 miles. Air conditioning works well, but was converted to R134a, and it has had to be recharged about once a year. You will probably need to recharge it in the spring. Brakes work well with plenty of pad left at all wheels. Clutch and A/C evaporator was replaced in 2008 at 65,000 miles. New radiator in 2009 at 78,000 miles. Front suspension was replaced in 2011 at 110,000 miles. Timing belt was replaced May 2014 at 140,000 miles. New exhaust (cat-back) installed in May 2014 at 140,000 miles. Just installed a new ball-joint/lower control arm on the right side. New MAF sensor, ignition coil, spark plug wires, distributor cap & rotor and spark plugs. Overall, this car is in exceptional mechanical and physical condition for a 20-year-old car. I'm primarily selling because we just don't need it any more, and I need to cut down on the number of cars I own. I am the car's second owner. Although the mileage is very low for it's age, the car has been in the Boston area for all of it's 20 years, and there is some rust on the underside. 1995 was also the very last model year before Volvo went to OBD-II, so this car does NOT require a Volvo Scan Tool for diagnostics or repair.

I have up for sale my 97 850 Volvo wagon. I have owned this for almost 10 years. I have enjoyed the car, and it has a lot of nice features like moonroof, pull out baby booster seat in the middle of back seats, cruise, nice stereo, heated seats, roof racks, nicer wheels I have kept up on the maintenance and think it could last another 100k miles. About 3 years ago I did a bunch of preventative maintenance including timing belt, water pump, cv joints, pcv breather system, the suspension, ac, new headliner, and tinted windows. Most oem Volvo replacement parts. Most recently I got all new 65kmile tires about 5k miles ago. car runs well, and is comfortable to drive. Clear carfax, no accidents. Very dependable. I live in Florida and the sun has worn the clear coat ,so the paint job is dull and weathered. The heat is why I replaced the headliner and shifter. sun damage also on dash. There is a repair to moonroof rubber seal with some reflective tape. These cars are known for very little rust. It is a older car ,but has a lot of nice features and is still a great car. This wagon is one of the best early R's you will find. It spent the vast majority of its life in Redmond, WA and San Diego, CA. As you will see from the photos, the underside of the car is amazing for a 152k mile example. It even has its original exhaust system, which is still in great shape. I do not believe the car has ever seen salt or snow (I stored it during the winter in IL). The paint and interior are in excellent condition for a 18 year old car. Everything on the car works, including the power windows and seats, gauges, and of course the A/C system, which blows ice cold. I even replaced all of the dashboard lights, which are commonly burned out on these. Engine pulls strong and transmission shifts properly. Car tracks straight and true. This wagon is all stock except for an ARD Stage 1 ECU. I still have the original "628" code ECU, which is exclusive to the R models. I have added many new parts recently, including front and rear brake pads and rotors, a brake fluid flush, new shocks and struts (Boge/Sachs OEM replacements), spark plugs, wires, and distributer cap, air filter, full timing belt service (belt, tensioner and water pump), PCV system, and Bridgestone Potenza S-04 tires. I have also done some cosmetic work -- such as re-dyed black body trim, refinished Volan rims, and repainted front spoiler. This vehicle does have over 260,000 miles on it, but a quick search on Edmunds will reveal that this car is one of the most common vehicles found on the road with an odometer reading well into the 300,000 mile mark. I just completed a drive to Elizabeth City, twice over (4 stretches of 47 miles) this week alone in the car, and had no problems. This vehicle has also relocated me safely across the US 3 times, with the start and end location varying between NC and CO. KBB value is listed at $1,322. The vehicle still has the original engine and transmission. In Breckenridge, CO, where I lived until June 2016, it handled just fine in the feet of snow we receive, all without chains nor snow tires. While she does perform excellently during my long commutes, and did just pass inspection, some work does need to be done to the O2 sensor, basic welding work (that I don't possess the skill set for). The check engine light remains on, and a mechanic said this is why. Furthermore, the traction control and ABS systems need repair work, if those are features you seek to be fully functional.
