What ever they did or triggered when they changed the transmission makes the car start grinding when driving 20 to 30 miles per hr and drives fine after it catches speed. It has air condition, heater, CD player leather seats. The seats are heated as well. Power windows. Its a turbo. You can drive it manually or automatic. Its a good running car. The interior is nice and clean and we did not come across any foul odors in the cabin. The body is also in great shape with no prominent imperfections. We had this vehicle repainted because when we acquired it, the clear coat was peeling in several areas -this is a common issue that arises in many vehicles from the "Florida Sun." As you'll see in the very detailed pictures provided, there are some spots of over-spray from the new paint job. The body is in awesome condition with no notable dents, dings or scratches anywhere. The car benefits from full bare metal repaint in 1998 and over the years has undergone a comprehensive restoration and upkeep including all mechanical and new interior. The car has always been well maintained and has has the benefit of timely, full servicing. The fuel injection system is rebuilt stock with new wiring harness. Every day that I take my P1800ES on the road, at least two people will stop, stare and inquire about the vehicle and ask if they can take pictures. The most common comment made is that the car makes them "happy". It is one of only 8077 produced for the model years 1972 and 1973. This is a 42 year old automobile that will serve you well for many years to come. Since my purchase in 1981 it has been my one and only driving machine. It has always been dependable for both local and long distance trips. For the past 20 years, the car has been garaged for 6 months out of every year while I am away on business. This was the car that I wanted ever since I saw one in 1972. After 35 years of faithful service, the time has come for me to pass my great little car on to someone who will be as taken by it as I am. I am looking for a good home for my faithful friend. It's in amazing shape for a 42 year old car... not a trailer queen but pretty close. I have used this car as my main transportation, both local and long distance, for the past 34 years, and it has always proved to be a faithful, dependable machine, serving me well.
