1975 Ford Crew cab F-250 Highboy 4X4 12 valve Cummins P Pump with Spicer 6 speed transmission, Truck was completely disassembled. A Cummins engine and Spicer transmission out of a 1995 Ford F-600 was installed in the frame with ford Cummins motor mounts. The divorced 205 transfer case was mounted behind the Spicer transmission. All new drive lines were made with new u joints. The truck has Dana 60 front and rear ends. It has 4 wheel power drum brakes. Every aspect of the brakes are new. The brakes work great. The steering is all new, even the steering assist cylinder was rebuilt. The engine has roughly 150000 miles when installed. The intercooler was modified to fit behind the grill. A new radiator for 460 with electric fan keeps everything cool. It has a new hydraulic master and slave cylinder (for a Volvo truck) that works the new Eaton Fuller clutch and pressure plate. The dash is customized with Satellite speedometer, oil pressure, water temp. and volts. New heater core and fan motor were installed. The floorboard was sanded, rust was cut out and new metal was welded in. Floor was sealed with bed liner material and sound deadener mat. Insulation was laid down under new rubber floor mat. Doors and windows were completely reworked with new rubber and seals. New headliner was installed over thick insulation. It has AC compressor and condenser installed but never finished the under the dash unit. This was a project truck for my 15 year old son. It was given to him as a B day present and took a year to build it. The truck had the usual rust that they all seem to have. We cut out the rusty metal and welded in patch panels. He did all the body work and we carried it to a paint shop to be painted. It looks great but it is not perfect. It has been painted for a year. The truck runs and drives good. The Cummins is a factory 215 hp and has larger injectors. It will "roll the coal" if you want it too. The truck has a top speed of 65 mph. We put 16.5 inch wheels on so 37" military tires could be used. A 3" body lift was installed to give clearance and the right look. The photo's will reveal some of the rough places in the body work. Under the hood is not detailed but shows a real, functional engine and drivetrain. It leaks a little oil as every mech. Cummins does, nothing major. We have driven this truck for over a year and almost 6000 miles, mainly to school. It attracts a ton of attention everywhere we go and he hates to sell it! Keep in mind this is a big truck transmission. It takes a little getting used to. My 16 year old son learned to drive a straight drive on this truck, so its not to hard.
