stupsautocenter8052 Store Here for sale is a good running 1993 Volvo 240, 4 door sedan, base model, 4 cylinder, automatic, with a few upgrades This Volvo has a clean title, 2 minor accidents reported, front of vehicle, airbag did not deploy, it does not have a radio, you will have to install your own The interior is in good condition, it has blue fabric seats, all of which are not torn or ripped, no cuts or missing fabric It has black highlights, dash is black, steering wheel is black, it has ABS, drivers side airbag, power windows and power locks All windows do work, however, the passenger door window will need fixed, it sometimes runs off track, and the door speaker has fallen in the door, and the window hits it when about half way down Speedometer is showing 98K, speedometer and the rest of the gauges do function, clock does work, but the miles and trip ODO sometimes work, the work when first started up and rolling After you get rolling the mileage will stop working at about 2.5 miles, sometimes it will come back to life, sometimes it stays still the whole drive This ODO problem is a short, loose circuit in the ODO board, it can be repaired The miles are fairly accurate, we are assuming that the car may have closer to or slightly over 100,000 miles on it, due to the ODO intermittently working This Volvo runs like a top, like any Volvo 240 it is not cold blooded, it likes 1/4 gas pedal at start up I have driven this car personally, and it runs like a champ. and with the wheel and tire upgrade, it handles much more like a Volvo should This 240 has 940 Turbo 16 inch wheels on it, direct bolt on, only the 940 Turbo wheels fit a 240, others have the wrong offset, these are correct offset, around 23-25 The wider wheel clears the front and the rear suspension with ease, no issues I have also added a nice sporty bolt on rear spoiler from a 2002 Subaru Impreza 2.5 RS, it fit perfectly with the angle and shape of the Volvo trunk, the 3rd brake LED light still needs hooked up The other added upgrade is the rear muffler, it has a 40 series Flow Master, single in, dual out muffler, it really sounds nice, not too loud, not too quiet, just a nice throaty exhaust note, the right tip is slightly bent at the end, still functions fine The muffler was a direct install, but yet less than half the size of the original torpedo muffler that came on the car, it was only changed due to the tail pipe being rotted off, needed a new muffler anyways This Volvo is not rusted on the bottom side, or along the rear quarters, no rust on the lower rocker panels, passenger side rocker has a dent where it was jacked up in the wrong area, but not thru, just dented All lights work, headlights have been cleaned and buffed out, so they are more clear than faded yellow The automatic transmission shifts flawlessly thru all the gears, goes right into gear, and reverse, just as it should, trans fluid is clean, not dark or burnt Like any older Volvo, light intermittently come on and go off, the service light is on and off through out your drive, sometime it doesn't come on at all The ABS light is the same way, comes on, goes off, sometimes stays off, sometimes stays on, although ABS does function properly on slippery pavement Sometimes the light out reminder comes on, there is no burnt out bulbs on the car, we have checked all the way around the car multiple times, light out reminder sometimes comes on, and goes off With these unique upgrades, wheels, muffler, rear spoiler, it gives it a personal, one off look to it, just doesn't look like your every "Joe" Volvo 240, cross between a 242 Turbo and a 240 This is a used car and may or may not need some minor repairs, it does not need to go thru State Inspection in most States due to it's age, in Maryland it can be registered Historic, or Street Rod, which ever you prefer Car runs and drives great, no over heating issues, as a matter of fact, it is more in the cool side of the gauge most of the time, even in those couple of 93-98 degree days we had last week AC on car is intact, I did charge it only to discover a pinhole leak on a high pressure line, coming off the compressor, line can be replaced, and AC will work again, compressor does move freely, and operate as it should After the car is finished on the Auction, a 250.00 mandatory security deposit, non-refundable, is required at the Auction end, full payment is accepted thru Pay Pal only, and must be paid in full 5 days after Auction Ends This car must be picked up in person by the eBay buyer, you can not have it picked up by a friend, a transport company, the Volvo will, and can be driven off our property, with proper Tags and Insurance, proof will be requested We are not responsible for transport of this car, the buyer, YOU, are responsible for getting it to where you want it, the car can sit at our facility for a maxium of 3 days after proper work is established, on the 4th day, storage will be assessed at 54.00 a day The buyer, YOU, MUST be here at our facility in PERSON to sigh the proper paper work for Title registration, Temporary tag, and to verify proof of insurance, NO EXCEPTIONS, unless you are a licensed Car Dealer, and have a current Dealer Tag We will not do any transactions VIA Mail, Overnight, UPS, payment VIA Pay Pal, or CASH in hand, after deposit, when car is being picked up We do offer LOCAL delivery if you the buyer choose not to drive the car, we charge 87.00 hook up, and 4 dollars a mile, within a 100 mile round trip, tri state region, Maryland, Virginia, Washington ONLY, on a roll back carrier You can hire your own transport company, but again, YOU the buyer must be here in person in Frederick Maryland during final paperwork signing and transfer Car cannot leave our property without a proper Maryland Temp tag and proof of current Insurance, for the vehicle being purchased You cannot bring a tag from another vehicle and slap it on the Volvo, simply no going to happen We are a state registered Used Car Dealer in the State of Maryland, there is a dealer processing fee of 200.00, tax, and title fees as well, this is just how Maryland operates If you are out of State, you will still be issued a Temporary Maryland Tag, the new title will be sent to the address of your request, at which time you can register the car in the Proper State in which you want This Volvo runs and drives very nice, front wheel bearings have been repacked, and adjusted to spec, they roll nice and smooth, all 4 brakes work and stop the car as they should There is no reason this Volvo could not be driven anywhere, for quite a long time These 240's are well known for running 500,000 miles or more, with the proper maintenance The car can be viewed
