Introduced on October 5, 1965, the Rolls Royce Silver Shadow and Bentley T-Series were unveiled at the Paris Salon Motor Show with rave reviews. The all new car was completely modern with traditional Rolls Royce/Bentley touches and was an exceptionally well crafted saloon with incredibly advanced technology for its time. The Silver Shadow and Bentley T-Series was a limited production Saloon that used the familiar 6.75 litre V8 engine built by Rolls Royce. The new Silver Shadow and T-Series were 3 and a half inches narrower and 7 inches shorter than the previous model but still managed to make more interior space for the passengers. The Bentley T1 version which featured a sleeker, sportier grille was the rarest iteration of the Silver Shadow/T-Series cars from 1965-1980. About 140 of these cars were built per year giving the ratio of about 1 T1 Bentley to 10 Rolls Royce Silver Shadows. This beautiful 1969 Bentley T1 Saloon is finished in Silver Sand/Garnett Red two tone with Burgundy hides. This car has had three previous owners and has traveled 67,547 miles from new (believed to be 100% accurate). The car has lived in Naples Florida most of its life where her owner has kept all of the servicing. The Silver Sand paint has been re-painted some time in the cars life and looks very good (some light checking on the truck and roof) and the Garnett Red lower paint is all original and shows very well (some checking on the lower panels). The Burgundy Connolly leather hides are excellent condition and shows very well for the cars age (some wear and cracking on the drivers seat). The wood on the interior is exceptional. There are no cracks to be found and the coloring is so precise and matches with the rest of the car. All of the trim and switchgear is also in excellent condition and shows very little signs of wear. The original wool headliner is still intact and in beautiful condition. All of the door panels, dash and center and lower console all show very well with extremely minimal signs of wear. All of the interior and exterior chrome look to be completely original and still showing a very nice shine free from major pitting and flaws. The car starts right up and runs and drives superbly. The car idles smoothly and shifts into gear without any issues. It accelerates through all of its gears smoothly and has great smooth power delivery. This T1 cruises down the road at 70mph without any hesitation and feels extremely solid and well balanced on the road. The suspension has just undergone major servicing and feels extremely smooth and solid. The steering is nice and nimble and free from any pulls or drifting. The brakes feel nice and solid and free from any fade. All of the electronics appear to be operating as designed including the dash lights and interior lights. The power antenna also works with the switch on the inside of the car. This Bentley has just undergone over $15,000 in recent service and mechanical work. The engine has just had its carburetors rebuilt with new floats and jets, new fuel lines, new spark plugs and wires, new vacuum lines, new starter, new water pump, new battery, new distributor coils and ignition leads, new engine gaskets and seals. The hydraulic brake system and hydraulic suspension has also been completely overhauled including all of the hydraulic lines to the suspension and the brakes, brake pump, brake pressure switches, new rear shocks and hydraulic struts, and new o-rings and seals in the brakes all done in the last 1200 miles. The car has also had AC work done including the compressor and belts with new Freon added. All the receipts go with the car and all of the original owners manuals, Bentley shop and parts manuals along with the original Bentley tool kit, jack and spare tire in their original bag. The car runs and drives exceptionally well whether cruising around town or driving at highway speeds this Bentley is incredibly solid and incredibly smooth. This is an ultra rare Bentley T-Series car finished in a stunning and rare color combination that rarely becomes available on the market. This car comes with a clean and clear title and shows no signs of any accident damage or any kind of rust. Its was a poor paint job (20 footer)! The body was sanded and a 2 stage urethane was applied. The basecoat is PPG Mille Migalo Red (1973 period correct) & the clearcoat is a Matrix high solids to prevent fading. The paint was was done by Christian Ortega of CO Designs. The Corvette body emblems & door handles were replaced.Misc - The factory radio was missing. It was replaced by a Retro Sound AM/FM/iPod deck/Alpine amp/Kicker 6 X 9 triaxial speakers). The factory clock was upgraded with a quartz movement. The speedometer & tachometer cables were replaced. The oil sending unit line & transmission gear reducer unit are new or rebuilt. I installed a factory antennae, mounting kit, and cable. The windshield wiper motor was serviced by Willcox Corvette. The entire vacuum system was tested and hoses replaced. The frame was stripped and sprayed with POR 15. The spare tire carrier was sprayed with bed liner. She has new tires, brakes, and rear brake lines.I drive this car daily and she absolutely flies, handles, and draws attention. I built this car to handle, look good, and withstand another 40 years.
