1960 Morris Traveller 1000 Woodie 1960 M0rris Minor Traveller

Early last year I got this Morris from a storage building it had been in since 1974. The next door neighbor did not even know the car was in the building. It has all original interior, original paint and original wood. The original 950 was locked up I think from over heating. I have a 1275 I think will run included with the auction but its condition is unknown. Over all this Traveller is in fair to good condition. There is typical rust beneath the rocker panel area which is typical in Morris Minors but the floor pans are very good for its age. Some minor holes on the drivers floor but it would repair easy. There is a hole on the frame rail on the passenger side beneath the lower control arm. It could be repaired fairly easily now that the engine is out of the car, The wood is fair and has no finish on it at all right now. It will need to be replaced in a few years but I think will provide some services for a few more years after refinished, It will need a typical repairs found on a car that has not been on the road in more than 40 years. There are roof dents and dings from storage. There is some damage from an accident on the drivers side. The door could be repaired but I have a spare door I will include wit the sale. There is a piece of wood missing on the drivers side from the damage. I do have another drivers rear fender included wit the sale. I think this could be a drive with you restore it kind of car. Its very cool but I just have too many (8)other British cars I want to keep. I also have a few new items not seen in the auction included in the sale. Mini : Cooper 1967 classic mini cooper mk 1 morris like austin

This is a genuine Mk1 1967 Morris Mini Cooper 998cc (not an S). During production Mini's were built under two names: Morris or Austin, both essentially the same car although the Morris seems to be a little rarer. This particular car is a right hand drive UK import brought over decades ago by a US service member, it ended up in the San Francisco Bay Area which is where I found it. Since then it has undergone a complete "frame off" restoration over the past year. Being an original MK1 it was a very complete car, but suffered from the wet British weather. The car was completely stripped, blasted and epoxy primed, panels that were too rusted were repaired with metalwork or replaced with new ones. The sub-frames and running gear were also blasted and powder coated. The car was then repainted in original Almond Green with and Old English White roof. Although this Mini Cooper is not an 'S' model, it does have some nice period features, including: twin tanks with the right hand tank being a "Serck" brand dealer option from the 60's, 4.5' Cooper S vented wheels, and a 12 row oil cooler. It also still sits on its original hydrolastic suspension which works great, although with the added upgrades of competition bump stops and front Spax shocks, just like the works rally cars did. The Engine is the original Cooper 998 unit with twin SU carbs, it was refreshed and given all new seals and gaskets and runs great with no leaks. The interior is original green and grey and in nice condition, and has brand new Newton Commercial carpet. All the gauges and switches work fine, with the addition of a period Smiths tachometer. Some minor issues: Some of the chrome has dings and pitting, i think it adds to the character but would be easy to replace. The interior door cards are original but have some stains and small tears, again an easy replacement if so desired. Mk1 Coopers are becoming scarce and most have been snatched up and taken to Japan, the ones that show up for sale are often missing parts or not true MK1's. This is a rare chance to grab a very complete MK1 Mini Cooper while prices are low but continue to rise. Feel free to ask questions or arrange a local visit. Strong battery, always float charged. New custom-made seat covers and carpet. Kenwood AM/FM/CD. Nardi gold-plated steering wheel. (couldn't resist.) Comes with original title. History: This car was sold to the German market, then imported to the US. It was dismantled and refurbished at Mini Obsession in PA. My wife and I bought it with a white roof and racing stripes. We wanted a convertible for three-season use, but the rare ones out there change the lines of the car radically, so we went with a stripped-down cabrio look. After removing the roof, we fabricated everything for a convertible top in the style of early MG Midgets. The quality of the paint is hard to capture in photos. It appears to iridesce as the angle of the light changes, from a warm leaf green in overhead sun to a cool metallic racing green in the shade. Many people have commented on it. If you like classic road rally trim, new white and black racing stripe decals come with the car.  Safety upgrades: Classic Minis can fold up if they are hit, and we have a young daughter. We took the weight savings from removing the roof and welded a steel cage around the passenger compartment, including the doors. A box-beam frame is bolted under the floor and coupled to the engine mounts. This improves handling, front impact protection, and stiffens the body as it's loaded. The front pillars are reinforced with tubular steel inserts. The roll bar, which came from a Chevy Nova dragster, completes the cage. It bolts to and reinforces the seat belt towers and rear impact frame. If you prefer the lines of the car without a roll bar, another custom crossbar with shoulder belt anchors is ready to go. Remove four bolts and swap the low bar for the roll bar. Your side impact protection is intact. What about rain? A set of lightweight tubular steel and aluminum components lock together to form a frame. The frame can support either a black bikini top (included) for strong sunlight, similar to those on Jeeps, or a super-heavy duty transparent vinyl rain top that will engage the crank-up windows. All the materials for the rain top come with the car, including snaps, vinyl etc., and it all fits into the boot. The frame connects to the roll bar (or the low crossbar,) and anchors into 1/2-13 threaded inserts at each end of the windshield. The inserts are normally plugged with chrome bumper bolts from a '55 Bel-Air (pictured).  If you want to install either top, I can go over the design with you when you pick it up. One of the pics shows the low crossbar and the lightweight frame for the cover. All the frame parts attach to the car in a couple of minutes. To be very clear: The support structure is ready to go. The covers themselves need to be stretched over the frame, edges trimmed, and snaps installed. This can be done by hand, with scissors and a little hand sewing, or quickly if you have access to a sewing machine. And if you know someone who makes boat or pickup truck covers, it's a walk in the park. Removable stainless steel tracks for the window gaskets are already attached to the front pillars.  We have never installed the sun or rain tops for two reasons: First, we love the smooth look of the car with no extra metal snap anchors, and second, the umbrella (pictured) works really well! If we're caught in the rain, it's a one-minute operation to clamp the umbrella to the roll bar. For a passing rain shower, place the umbrella high and have a snack. If it's a downpour or very windy, drop it lower. It keeps the interior bone dry, and yes, you can drive with it if you want to - slowly. We drove it once through the middle of a huge classic car show with the umbrella up - to spontaneous applause and laughter everywhere. This car is one of a kind, and needs nothing. It always starts and runs great. Take it anywhere, and you make friends immediately. Put up the umbrella and watch the smiles come out. All the hard work has been done. Have some fun! *DETAILED PICTURES HERE: "TaylorMadeClassicCars" dot com, on the world wide web NO TITLE, BILL OF SALE ONLY. 1960’s (Oct ’69 – Apr ’76) Morris Mini Mk II panel van, right hand drive, engine RUNS good, temporarily hot-wired to hear it run, good compression in all cylinders. Car needs total restoration. Needs all hydraulics rebuilt (clutch, brakes, etc.). Has hinged fiberglass front bonnet, spare, jack and tools in pouch. E-brake holds, car rolls freely. Stainless braided brake lines, has sun visors. I’m not a Mini expert and cannot determine actual year or Vehicle Identification Number. The car bears the following numbers: Engine block plate number: # SAM U H 592454 Radiator shroud plate number: # FE1598548 (not certain about the “F”) Body/Chassis stamped number: # SABTTVR0357936061 (not certain since a couple numbers appear damaged)? This stamp was on left side engine area support brace on inner fender. See pictures of all number plates.About the VIN... Apparently when the front fiberglass bonnet was installed, the front metal section was removed. That is the panel section that would normally hold the rivited VIN tag. I don't have that removed VIN tag or the old front panel. There is also some suggestion that this Mini is older than suggested and may actually be a MkII since it has sliding windows rather than roll up windows. Additionally, as for the history, I got this Mini from an estate. The owner that died has a Bill of Sale from the previous owner, which I have, however it is pretty worthless since it only has their names and refers to a "Mini in primer" with no reference to VIN or other pertinent identifying features. As such, I will remind bidders that you are responsible to ascertain DMV requirements in your home state to see if you can register and/or title the Mini for your use with simply a bill of sale and reference to one of the number tags (engine, body, rad shell, or other) it is showing. Otherwise consider it a parts car or a "constructed" car such as a custom or show car platform. The rare panel van body and a running engine should easily be worth the investment. Candidate for total restoration, custom car on your chassis, rat-rod, or parts. Registering and titling this car may be difficult or impossible in some states. Be sure to check with your local DMV on these requirements and regulations. Car has RUST ! Don't be misguided by the pretty pictures alone. I have detailed "ugly" pictures showing extent of rust on sills/rockers/floor on my website. Be sure to closely examine all pictures "BEFORE YOU BUY"! Previous rust repair is evident. Patch panels on A-pillar behind front wheels both sides. Some rust on rear floor and sills (see pictures). Overall fairly solid and structurally sound. Has “2001 London to Brighton Run” sticker on rear window, so possibly participated? Please remember that this is an "antique" vehicle about 40 years old.
