Up for sale is my 1960 Dodge Town Wagon. Purchased a year ago to drive for the summer and again this year and take to the local car meets etc. I never drove it in the rain and is kept in a climate controlled garage. I recently put a very nice coat of polish on the whole vehicle. Drives excellent, starts up very easily, new battery, spark plugs, antifreeze, oil change, 4 shocks, new front leaf springs, newer brakes and master cylinder. I have a service manual and new car sales brochures etc that go with the vehicle and a spare windshield and a full car cover. The owner before myself had this vehicle since 1973 and kept excellent care of it. The engine has been rebuilt twice since the vehicle was new and runs great. the transmission shifts excellent, clutch feels great. It has a flat head 6 cylinder engine, very easy to work on. Has a newer radiator. Even the emergency brake works Everything in this vehicle works. Speedometer, odometer, fuel gauge, temperature gauge, volt gauge, Oil pressure gauge, heater, wipers, fresh air vent, choke. Everything works. Does have a oil few drips under the engine when sitting, very minor though. I want to be completely honest about everything. Front seat is very comfortable and folds forward for under seat storage, passenger seat folds forward to climb into the rear seat. Never did come with seat belts, could easily be added if you need them. Interior is in incredible condition, roof panels inside are in awesome original shape. The exterior of the back doors were hand painted by the previous owner as well as the rear of the back seat. I left them for the original history of the truck but the rear doors are very very smooth gloss paint that could be refinished over the advertising if you choose, as well as the back of the seat. I took it for a 3 hour drive this year on a nice day and had no issues at all, actually really good on fuel. You can fill the fuel tank without any leaks. Tires are like new. All the door locks work with a key as well as the rear door lock, nice chrome handles and locks, mirrors. The paint would be a 7 out of 10. Shows a little wear on the hood but is very very nice shine and driver quality finish. Has a very solid body, original frame and floors. Frame is in perfect condition The reason for selling is my wife and I are moving in late September and I also have a project 1966 Plymouth fury I am working on to finish this month and unfortunately I have to sell this truck. Up for auction is this very unique and super rare convertible dodge. This truck has all its original sheet metal panels on an even harder to find rust free body! Has a quality 5 year old paint job. Hood has been replaced and custom fitted with a cooler looking later design. Drive-line is in excellent shape with a strong 1973 440 with only 37,000 miles, headers and aluminum hi-rise intake and rebuilt ThermoQuad with working choke. Many new and NOS parts including front signal bucket assemblies, new headman headers, dual exhaust, turbo mufflers, 12" Luk clutch and pressure plate. The original Dana 44 front end has new brakes, U joints and ball joints. The rear differential is positrak with 3.55 gear ratio. The exterior is painted in PPG Concept single stage with the last coat having 2002 clear integrated in it. The black satin is also PPG and matches perfectly with the Pheonix graphics stripe kit. The interior floors are coated with spray in bed liner and the bed has a roll bar for that heavy duty look. The seats are beige leather, and the drivers seat has operational power adjustments. The rear seat folds down. The Story: This is a very hard to find Cummins/6 Spd drive-train combo quad cab truck. This rig was used as a work truck but it was adult owned, never abused, non smoking and very well maintained. This truck has some dents, dings and scratches as you would expect from a work truck but is very tight mechanically. This truck starts, runs, shifts, drives and stops excellent in every way, it is a good tight, string running rig and it will not disappoint you. Options and Equipment: Has a very powerful 5.9L Cummins engine, 6 spd trans, 4WD, power windows/locks, tilt, AC, heated/power mirrors, keyless entry, cruise, fog lights, tow package, receiver hitch, seats 6, very clean non smoking gray cloth interior, good glass, a good set of matched Cooper AT tires on alloy rims and never any rust (still has factory frame stickers, see photos underneath) We installed 2 new batteries, gave this truck a full safety inspection, oil/filter change, checked all fluids, air filter, inspected the brakes and undercarriage, has been professionally cleaned inside etc. This is a used 11 year old work truck and as you would expect there are imperfections, scratches, dings, wear, etc. I am being very "nit-picky" on some of this stuff because I value my reputation/feedback. Introduced in February, 1964, The Vista Cruiser was a station wagon manufactured and marketed by the Oldsmobile Division of General Motors from 1964 to 1977 and noted for its fixed-glass, roof-mounted skylight over its second-row seating with sun visors for the second row passengers, a raised roof behind the skylight and lateral glass panels over the rear cargo area along the raised roof. Never in the history of automobile manufacturing had there been a design like this. The raised-roof, skylight wagon body was shared with the Buick Sport Wagon. However, Buick only offered skylight-roof Sport Wagons through the 1969 model year, then kept the name alive for the next three seasons on a more run-of-the-mill Skylark wagon. Oldsmobile continued with the true Vista-Cruiser through 1972. There were Vista-Cruisers from 1973 to 1977, but these cars -- built on GM's new "colonnade" body for intermediates -- no longer had a wheelbase or roofline distinct from those of other midsize wagons in the corporate stable. The skylights were gone, replaced by pop up sunroofs. Of course, the most popular and well known versions are the second generation, 1968-1972, the standouts being the 1970-1972. The last true Vista Cruiser was built in 1972. The wagon was a success until the end, selling 31,913 units in 1972. As with all manufacturers, the gas crisis, EPA, and NTSB interference of the mid seventies forced Oldsmobile to downsize all their cars, and add safety features to be compliant. The original design Vista Cruiser ceased to exist. Throughout their original life spans, both the Sport Wagon and the Vista-Cruiser were built on stretched versions of the mid-size A-body platform used, respectively, by the Buick Special/Skylark and Oldsmobile F-85/Cutlass. Additionally, both wagons offered the availability of forward-facing third-row seats. Compet­itors like the Chevrolet Impala, Pontiac Catalina Safari, Dodge Polara, and Chrysler Newport wagons all had rear-facing seats in the third row, while the big Ford wagons had rear seats that faced each other. In 1970, a redesign reshaped much of the exterior sheet metal, making the edges and curves sharper. Although it closely resembled the 1968-69 models, and is essentially considered to be a second-generation car, many of the body parts were no longer interchangeable with the earlier second-generation cars. The dashboard was also completely redesigned. (The GM Skywagon Club recognizes the 1970-72 models as "Generation 2a, almost a separate generation from the 1968-1969 versions.") A small number of 1972 Vista Cruisers were modified by Hurst Performance, for support car duties at the 1972 Indianapolis 500 and equipped with 455 cubic-inch Rocket V8s along with the official pace car, a 1972 Hurst/Olds, also powered by a 455 V8. In station wagon history, the Oldsmobile Vista Cruiser is surpassed on the recognition scale only by the Tri Five Chevrolet Nomad Wagons. Hoosier 29x11.5x15 cheater slicks. Weld front wheels with Uniroyal Tiger Paw radials, P205/75R15. No engine. Big block Chevrolet engine has been removed. As you can see, cables, wiring, solenoid, radiator, inner fenders, torsion bar, etc. are all present. Everything displayed in the photos is included. Anything not displayed in the photos is not. The Story: This is a hard to find 5500 crew cab flat bed and an awesome truck, 4WD with power everything and ready to work. This truck was adult owned, never abused, non smoking, non chipped. It starts, runs, drives and stops excellent in every way and will not disappoint you. Options and Equipment: Has a super strong running engine, auto trans, keyless entry, power windows/locks, cruise control, tilt wheel, AC, tint, factory trailer brakes, factory exhaust brake, tow package, receiver hitch, turn over ball, heavy duty flat bed, clean, non smoking gray cloth interior, good glass, new tires, stainless wheel covers and never any rust (see photos underneath) We installed 6 new tires, gave this truck a full safety inspection, oil/filter/fuel filter change, checked all fluids, air filter, inspected the brakes and undercarriage, has been cleaned/detailed inside etc. Though in excellent condition, this is a used 6 year old work truck and as you would expect there are imperfections, scratches, dings, wear, etc. I am being very "nit-picky" on some of this stuff because I value my reputation/feedback. There is a small tear on the driver's side rear seat edge and multiple on the passenger side rear seat bottom cushion (see photos) There is some minor wear on the interior as you would expect with the age/miles (see photos) There is some minor hail damage on the hood and roof, I had a very hard time getting it to show in pictures (see photos) Please call me, I'm a small family business, not a slick haired, polyester clad car salesman.
