Forced to sale before I can finish. This has the 3 speed Jatco automatic transmission and does shift smoothly through all gears. 138,795 original miles. What I've done recently: - Replaced intake / exhaust manifold gasket and hardware. - Repaired leak in exhaust down pipe with new flex pipe. - Replaced thermostat gasket.- Replaced alternator.- Replaced starter.- Replaced all 3 drive belts.- All new coolant hose.- Replaced fuel line.- Replaced ignition.- Replaced all vacuum hose (not the heater hoses though) with new silicone vacuum hose.- Brand new spark plugs.- Brand new spark plug wires.- Changed all fluids.- I have sanded through most of the 2 paint jobs that were applied. And scraped and sanded the old weather coating from under the doors and quarter panels. Not an easy task. - Tires have great tread. I will include new Zenon eurathane front air dam ($180 dollar value). The remaining gaskets in Felpro gasket kit.I have all the lights and covers and will box them up. Car starts right up and does run smoothly down the road. It does idle a little rough until it warms up though, but not too bad. It might fluctuate 50-75 rpm's, but smooths out when it warms up. No real rust anywhere underneath (some under rear bumper). Floors and panels are all in good shape.

1980 280ZX GL purchased from original owner in '05. Beautiful inside and out. The radio did not work when I bought it, so I replaced with a piece of aluminum plate and fitted a Sony stereo and the power antenna switch into the original slot. Also, I had to charge the A/C when I got it and over the past years, it has leaked down. I haven't recharged it since I'm very 'protective' of what R12 I have left. You can convert it if you would like. I have put approximately 25K on it since I purchased it, and would not hesitate to drive it back in Oregon if need be. He put the tires on it for me since he knew I would be driving it 3000 miles back home and while not bad, they might be a concern (if driving to Oregon). The tread is still decent, but they are almost 10 years old. The ONLY issues I am aware of would be two rust spots (see pic) at the bottom edge of the windshield. As you can see, I removed the paint and coated with Rustoleum to prevent farther damage. Unless you stand right over the car, you won't see the spots. There are the 'normal' rock pecks and such from traveling. Only one at the left headlight assembly that I consider mentioning (see pic). The left rear interior corner material has pulled (see pic). Very normal for these cars. While not perfect, I would have to give this an 8 or 9 out of 10 in overall condition. It never fails to crank and NEVER fails to turn heads! I am not a dealer. I am a collector and need space. I hate to let it go, but must. The car is for sale locally, so sale might end unannounced. I DO NOT SELL INTERNATIONALLY. I WILL NOT SHIP this auto. You are more than welcome to have it picked up at your expense or come to my home and drive it, tow it, trailer it to your home. If you have any questions about the car, please ask. time to sell my 280z, its a base datsun 280zx two seat, straight 6 cylinder 2.8 litter which still works like a clock and 5 speed manual transmission which shifts good with no grinds or pops, clutch never slipped on me too, i've owned it since 2010 , before me master mechanic owned , and we both took a good care of her, it was my weekend driver so i barely made few thousand miles for last 5 years, last reported milage is 186000 , at the same time instrument cluster got fried and was replaced with used 5 digit metter with 81000 reading , now its at 83000. I am the 2nd owner of this black & gold 1980 Datsun 280ZX. It is number 2473 of 3000 of the 10th anniversary edition cars. I have owned the vehicle 9-1/2 years. I purchased it in June of 2007 in Farmington, Michigan from the original owner. It was stored in a warehouse there with other classic cars. It does not get used very much as you can tell by the low miles, 9421 miles. It has won it's class 3 times at the Japanese Classic Car Show (2007, 2008 & 2016) in California. It won 1st place in the Z division in 2015 at the Huntington Beach Concours Car Show. The car is always garaged or stored in a car trailer. All original paint. I have the original pinstriped Goodyear Wingfoot tires I use for car shows. There is plenty of tread on these tires and they are in great condition for 36 year old tires. Because of their age, I have been told it's not recommended to use them for regular driving. The wheels have the correct 10th anniversary wheel caps with chrome & the burnt orange color around the Z emblem on the caps. All other 1980 ZX's had standard chrome & black caps that still are available today. I have an extra set of tires (BF Goodrich Radial TA's) and 280ZX wheels for normal driving use. Since the car is originally from Michigan, it was undercoated by the dealership when purchased new. I had one of these anniversary cars when I was about 19 years old but couldn't afford to keep it. This one brought back great memories for me and I have enjoyed many car shows with it but I'm moving on to different things these days.
