Up for grabs is my beautiful 1981 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am. New paint x5yrs in original Stardust silver (GM paint code WA7448). All original, unmolested, numbers matching car with non-turbo 301 V8 and 3 speed auto trans. All seats redone in silver vinyl. All lights work as they should. Car has 4 wheel disk brakes and it just had a complete 4 corner brake job, to include 4 NEW calipers, rotors, pads and lines- car stops on a dime. Power steering, power brakes. The prior owner said the miles are true miles but I can't confirm that. I can attest to the fact that the car starts, idles, runs and stops like a low mileage car. Never gets hot, oil pressure always good. Tires at 90% tread. No chips or cracks in glass. Rust free body, inside trunk perfect, inside engine compartment super clean- this really is a nice car. Needs exhaust work and adjustments made to the inside of both doors. They need someone who has the time to adjust the window tracks, door handles and locks- the windows go down perfectly but not always up perfectly, you have to pull a little hard on the door handles sometimes and the lock cylinders are tight. New trunk lock cylinder installed, new ignition cylinder installed and both have new keys. Car comes with new door lock cylinders/keys. AC is disconnected but all parts are included with car. New air filter. New radiator hose. Brand new battery. Fresh tune and oil 6 mos ago. Super reliable, cruises at highway speeds easily all day long. Original drivetrain. (Yes it is an original 305, the only way you could get a 4 speed manual transmission in 1981 was to get the 305) Completely NEW suspension from PTFB (springs, shocks, tubular control arms, body bushings, subframe connectors, sway bars, etc.) (original control arms and sway bars come with the car) NEW braking system (including calipers, pads, rotors, stop flex soft lines and rear hard line) Heater Core has been replaced along with hoses (for those of you who are not familiar, on a car with A/C, this is NOT an easy job and a little expensive if you cannot do it yourself) Full tune-up (plugs, wires, belts, etc., new fuel pump) ALL fluids changed NEW carb and distributor. Its an 8 out of 10 car in and out, has 2 small paint chips between the tops about the size of a dime, has scratch on pass side door which will be fixed upon purchase. Has good original headliner inlay and trim that's good but needs cloth headliner replaced. Has a crack on the drivers side dash, only crack on the dash. Now for the good. Fresh 455 pontiac from a 76 4 speed trans am can verify thru block #'s, headers, intake, rebuilt quad carb. Th350 with manual valve body, factory 342 gear posi 4 wheel disc high option y84 s.e. I've replaced the instrument lights with blue led's they're much brighter. Seats front and back are terrific pass side has 1 seam loose. Hello, today we have for sale a 1981 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am 301 Turbo. The odometer reads 89,334, but we are unsure of the actual mileage and if the odometer is original to the car. We believe the motor and transmission are original, but are unable to verify.It has had a complete interior overhaul, was repainted 5 years ago, and a new vinyl sticker package (Nascar Pacecar). The motor runs strong, but smokes a little until it warms up. All the electronics work, except the power windows are quite weak. Also has new rear brake rotors, brake pads (front and rear), aluminum radiator, heater core, T-top and door weatherstripping, and restored turbo-fan wheels with new tires. New speakers have also been installed in the stock locations. There is a small patch of bondo on the passenger door that was cracked and has been repaired, and the door itself sags a little bit. The body is otherwise pretty straight with little to no rust. The car has its original air conditioning system, but it either needs to be recharged or converted to R134a. The hood isn't color correct for the Nascar vinyl package. The car recently passed smog and the title is clear.This car is also listed on the local Craigslist.

This very rare 1981 Pontiac Trans Am Turbo Special Edition with the Y84 and WS6 package, it has the Pontiac original window sticker, build sheet, PHS docs, car fax, sales brochure and other docs. Just 9604 turbo Trans Am’s were built for 1980 and 1981. This car was built in California and spent in entire life in great care. Please take time to look at all the pictures.In 1981 the Trans Am was the last of the Trans Am’s starring role in the 1977 Burt Reynolds action-comedy Smokey and the Bandit. This car is nice inside, out, and underneath looks very nice and for being all original, still retains the original exhaust I believe. It has all the original metal on the car and has only one repaint to the rare factory Black and Gold bandit paint colors. It was owned by the previous owner for many years, it has always been a well cared for car. We believe the miles are actual of only 116,000, but we have no other proof of that and will be sold miles exempt because of the age, but does look like it is actual and according to the car fax. The paint is the special edition Black with Gold bird and pin striping, the color combo is stunning. The car has a very nice paint job on it and is very straight down the sides with very minimum showing of age. All decals and trim is nice with a little peeling here and there nothing that takes away from the great looks. Overall the car looks great and can be used and enjoyed as is, have a very rare and very collectible Trans Am with all correct docs and components that will only go up in value. The drive train is all original the 4.9 liter 301ci Turbo motor starts and runs very nice, drives very nice. The car comes with a 3-speed automatic transmission making it very drivable with the stock rear end. Newer raised white letter radials have been mounted on factory correct Pontiac honeycomb wheels. Like everything else, the interior is very nice with new seat covers and carpet. It has Camel Tan bucket seat interior. The car has the factory Power steering and disc brakes, tilt wheel, power windows and locks, power trunk release, cruise control. The Bandit also has the rare factory T-Top roof panels. I believe it has every factory option that was available in 1981. The factory radio is missing. Dash, door panels, carpet, headliner, sun visors, steering wheel, etc, etc everything is nice.
