We are selling below Kelly blue book value (KBB) It has upgraded leather seats, leather steering wheel and a carbon fiber dashboard.This car was driven with extreme care (ave of 5,500 mi per year) and I've had it for almost 2 years and only put 12,000 miles on it. We also chose to go above and beyond with the care and maintenance and did full synthetic oil changes and used 91-octane gas, and the engine is spotless. It will be hard to find another Spyder maintained as well as ours. The great thing about Toyota Spyder's is that they come with a glass back window instead of plastic. Up for sale is a 2003 mr2 spyder SMT. paradise blue with black interior. Has 2 small door dings in it, I actually got it that way. Other then that the paint is clean and its a rare color. Inside is clean but has a hole in the carpet where your heal goes by the gas pedal. Normal wear. Seats have no rips and are ok has some wear on drivers side. Will come with pillar gauges. Lights are painted black inside and I have HID's. The fog lights are HID as well. I have a complete sound system in it. 4 MB Quarts 6-1/2 mids 2 Boston pro 6-1/2 mids. 1inch MB Quarts pro tweeters in stock location and 2 3inch pro series comp tweeters in the kick panels. JVC double din detachable face touchscreen with bluetooth. 7 band clarion eq in the glove compartment and a usb. 3 Rockford Fosgate punch/prime amps and 2 JL audio 10" subs. Very loud and clear and clean. I also have a second battery that I never got around to installing it will go with the car. Kinetic battery. I also have a hardtop as well. The top is dark blue but wrapped in black carbon fiber. Viper alarm with motion sensor. Its lowered on Tein S and rides good and corners well. I always keep up on maintenance so I've never had ANY issues with this car. The only problem my car was broken into a year ago they cut my top. I removed the material part of the top after buying my hard top and just never put a new soft top on. Frame is still on and all parts, but I was planing on removing the soft top completely just never got to it. After a five-year hiatus, the new MR2 Spyder marked the return of the mid-engine sports car to Toyota's line-up. VVTI DOHC ENGINE The Toyota vehicle has been fitted with a 1.8-litre double overhead cam (DOHC) 16-valve four-cylinder engine with a VVT-I (Variable Valve Timing with Intelligence) system. This produces 138bhp at 6,400rpm. It also sustains a torque of 125ft-lbs at 4,400rpm. The VVT-I system is used to improve fuel economy and engine performance as well as reduce exhaust emissions. This system controls the intake camshaft valve timing so as to obtain a balance between engine output, fuel consumption and emission control performance. By varying the cam timing, and thus the valve overlap, the engine can run more cleanly at low revs, boost its torque in the middle and still manage powerful high-rev performance. Low-mileage, very good condition 2003 Toyota MR2 Spyder for sale - $13,000 or best offer! The MR2 has been kept in a garage and covered since I bought it. Only drive it on good weather weekends. The price includes both original owner’s service manual and the dealer/factory service & maintenance shop manuals, volumes I & II and wiring diagram manual worth $250. After a five-year hiatus, the new MR2 Spyder marked the return of the mid-engine sports car to Toyota's line-up. VVTI DOHC ENGINE The Toyota vehicle has been fitted with a 1.8-litre double overhead cam (DOHC) 16-valve four-cylinder engine with a VVT-I (Variable Valve Timing with Intelligence) system. This produces 138bhp at 6,400rpm. It also sustains a torque of 125ft-lbs at 4,400rpm. The VVT-I system is used to improve fuel economy and engine performance as well as reduce exhaust emissions. This system controls the intake camshaft valve timing so as to obtain a balance between engine output, fuel consumption and emission control performance. By varying the cam timing, and thus the valve overlap, the engine can run more cleanly at low revs, boost its torque in the middle and still manage powerful high-rev performance. The engine is positioned near the centre of the chassis. This has the effect of of lowering the centre of gravity, thus improving the handling of the vehicle when cornering at high speed. The vehicle uses a mid-engine drivetrain with rear-wheel drive and five-speed manual transmission. POWER TO WEIGHT RATIO The new development focused on designing a pure sports car. This first meant that the car had to be light and so a curb weight of 2,195lbs was achieved. From this point, the company was able to focus on power to weight ratio, which would determine the speed and performance of the vehicle. The lighter the car, the better the power to weight ratio will be for a given engine. As car engines are an expensive part of the overall package, lightness has significant benefits. MR2 SUSPENSION Handling is further improved with the car's specifically designed suspension system. This includes a front independent MacPherson strut and rear independent dual-link MacPherson strut, with damper struts, lower control arms, coil springs and anti-roll bars. Steering is aided using a rack-and-pinion with electro-hydraulic power-assist, which enables a turning circle of 17.4 feet. ABS BRAKES The vehicle is light but also capable of reaching high speeds. The emphasis was therefore on developing an effective braking system, and the vehicle was fitted with power-assisted ventilated disc brakes with anti-lock brake system (ABS). For maximum grip, the vehicle was fitted with P185/55R15 at the front and P205/50R15 at the back. Brake testing showed that the vehicle could achieve 70–0 mph in 3.26s and a distance of 166.7ft. Fuel consumption in urban areas averages 25mpg, while on the motorway the average consumption rises over 30mpg.
