The paint is nice, the body solid, the convertible top good, interior nice, engine sounds good, manual transmission, good tires, lights work, horn works and no rust issures that I see. 63 PICTURES BELOW, just scroll down to see them all. HISTORY: Car was bought from an estate in Alabama by a man from Shelby county Alabama. It was brought to a car show in the Smokey Mountains of Tennessee to a car show where we bought it. VIN: 14061191 TITLE: Alabama registration of title in hand. MILES ON CAR: No odometer on Model T's, so we don't know. WHY AM I SELLING THE CAR? I bought it to resell, I'm a 69 year old retired auto mechanics instructor. I buy and sell cars that are nice and a good deal to make a few bucks. HOW ABOUT RUST IN THE CAR? I see no rust bubbles in the paint and the under side is very solid. I see a little rusty color metal on the under side, but no issues. I did not paint the under side, guys think something may be covered up if they see fresh paint. HOW IS THE PAINT? I consider it upper end drive and enjoy paint. The shine is very nice, I see no dents or dings and the body panels are not wavy. I did buy some touch up paint and touched up some chips, it was after my pictures. HOW IS THE INTERIOR: Nice interior with no wear. HOW IS THE CONVERTIBLE TOP? Good, I see no holes or ripps. HOW IS THE GLASS? Windshield is clear and it opens easy. HOW IS THE ENGINE? It sounds good to me. I cleaned the carburater after the pictures, it was dripping gas. IS THE CAR STILL 6 VOLTS? Yes, it is positive ground 6 volt with a almost new Exide battery. A switch has been added inline with the generator cutout relay. They are bad about sticking and burning the generator up, the switch is a good thing. HOW IS THE TRANSMISSION? Model T transmissions are a strang animal. It seems to be working correctly. I have never owned a T before, so I don't have any thing to compare it to. HOW ARE THE TIRES? No real tread wear and I see no signs of drying cracks. HORN WORKS! HEADLIGHTS WORK! TAIL LIGHT WORKS! WIND SHIELD WIPER WORKS! It is a single that you work by hand. NO TRUNK LOCK! WARING! WARNING! WARNING! Model T Fords are different to drive, they can be hard to operate. They have 3 foot pedals: LEFT PEDAL marked C is not realy a clutch, mashed all the way down is low gear, in the center it is neutral, up is hight gear. CENTER PEDAL marked R is for reverse, all the way in is for reverse. RIGHT PEDAL marked B is the brake. THE LEVER TO THE LEFT OF THE DRIVER has 3 positions, pulled back is neutral and parking brake, center is neutral, forward is for drive gears. The lever on the left of the column is spark timing, the lover on the right of the column is for trottle (no foot trottle). The knob on the right under the dash is choke and mixture control. I have a problem with the left pedal marked C, I want to operate it like a clutch and push it all the way in. I can tell you in theory how things work, but am not good at doing them. CONSIDERATION we have for sale a good looking 1927 Model T Roadster. The paint is nice, the body solid, the convertible top good, interior nice, engine sounds good, manual transmission, good tires, lights work, horn works and no rust issures that I see. 63 PICTURES BELOW, just scroll down to see them all. HISTORY: Car was bought from an estate in Alabama by a man from Shelby county Alabama. It was brought to a car show in the Smokey Mountains of Tennessee to a car show where we bought it. VIN: 14061191 TITLE: Alabama registration of title in hand. MILES ON CAR: No odometer on Model T's, so we don't know. WHY AM I SELLING THE CAR? I bought it to resell, I'm a 69 year old retired auto mechanics instructor. I buy and sell cars that are nice and a good deal to make a few bucks. HOW ABOUT RUST IN THE CAR? I see no rust bubbles in the paint and the under side is very solid. I see a little rusty color metal on the under side, but no issues. I did not paint the under side, guys think something may be covered up if they see fresh paint. HOW IS THE PAINT? I consider it upper end drive and enjoy paint. The shine is very nice, I see no dents or dings and the body panels are not wavy. I did buy some touch up paint and touched up some chips, it was after my pictures. HOW IS THE INTERIOR: Nice interior with no wear. HOW IS THE CONVERTIBLE TOP? Good, I see no holes or ripps. HOW IS THE GLASS? Windshield is clear and it opens easy. HOW IS THE ENGINE? It sounds good to me. I cleaned the carburater after the pictures, it was dripping gas. IS THE CAR STILL 6 VOLTS? Yes, it is positive ground 6 volt with a almost new Exide battery. A switch has been added inline with the generator cutout relay. They are bad about sticking and burning the generator up, the switch is a good thing. HOW IS THE TRANSMISSION? Model T transmissions are a strang animal. It seems to be working correctly. I have never owned a T before, so I don't have any thing to compare it to. HOW ARE THE TIRES? No real tread wear and I see no signs of drying cracks. HORN WORKS! HEADLIGHTS WORK! TAIL LIGHT WORKS! WIND SHIELD WIPER WORKS! It is a single that you work by hand. NO TRUNK LOCK! WARING! WARNING! WARNING! Model T Fords are different to drive, they can be hard to operate. They have 3 foot pedals: LEFT PEDAL marked C is not realy a clutch, mashed all the way down is low gear, in the center it is neutral, up is hight gear. CENTER PEDAL marked R is for reverse, all the way in is for reverse. RIGHT PEDAL marked B is the brake. THE LEVER TO THE LEFT OF THE DRIVER has 3 positions, pulled back is neutral and parking brake, center is neutral, forward is for drive gears. The lever on the left of the column is spark timing, the lover on the right of the column is for trottle (no foot trottle). The knob on the right under the dash is choke and mixture control. I have a problem with the left pedal marked C, I want to operate it like a clutch and push it all the way in. I can tell you in theory how things work, but am not good at doing them. Service and Inspection Report: We brought this very clean Volvo in for service and didn’t find a lot to do. The prior owner had taken very good care of the vehicle and the paint, interior and vehicle show very well. For starters, we did an oil/filter change using the correct Volvo sealing washer on the drain plug, along with a new engine cap oil seal. Volvo makes the maintenance very inexpensive on these vehicles by specifying convention oil. While we had the oil out, we noticed that the dipstick end was a little brittle so we installed an new engine oil dipstick. We also installed a new timing belt, seals, tensioner and idler so that you know that’s done. We install new spark plugs when we do timing belts. We use Denso® brand plugs which are original equipment on most Volvos. Moving along to the chassis, we found the brakes good, both front and rear. Turning out attention to the climate control, we checked the system and it operates as designed. We installed a new cabin air filter for you. Going around the vehicle, we replaced the LH lower tail light as it had a small crack and also installed new headlight wiper blades. Finishing up, we installed new wiper blades, front and rear. Service and Inspection Report: We brought this nice Corvette in for service and found a few things to do in order to make this car just right. The prior owner had kept the vehicle very clean and maintained, otherwise. We started by doing an oil/filter change using the correct Mobile 1® 5W-30 synthetic oil and a Delco oil filter. While under the vehicle we didn’t note anything else in need of attention. The air filter was in good order as was the remainder of the underhood items. With our Snap-On Solus® scanner, we moved our attention to the vehicle’s chassis systems, we found a few latent codes for both the ABS (anti-lock brake) and ride control systems that we serviced. The ABS module was replaced with a new GM component as the early Delphi unit is known to fail. The ABS is now code-free and as designed. This vehicle is equipped with GM’s ride control which allows the driver to choose between touring and sport suspension settings. It’s a sophisticated system that is now on most newer vehicles including premium brands. We detected a code related to the steering angle sensor and replaced that sensor for you, clearing the cause of the code. This procedure requires removal and installation of the steering column for changing the sensor. We did that for you! That system now works as designed, as well. The brakes looked good front and rear. We scanned the remainder of the vehicles systems and found them to be code-free. The vehicle’s battery appeared to be about six years old so we decided to install a new correct-rated battery for you! Finishing up, we noticed that the climate control was a little low on refrigerant so we topped up the system and added 2 oz of compressor oil to assure good lubrication. We do our own air conditioning service inhouse and hold a valid certification through MACS, unlike some other guys. Shop around and then ADD IT UP! Why buy one that needs work? We did a few things to make the car “just right”. For starters, we did an oil/filter change, since it appeared that the oil was a little low and in need of a change. While under the vehicle, we didn’t see anything else in need of service and it did appear that the vehicle has newer drive belts on the accessory drives. Since the Infinity has a chain-driven camshaft system, no timing belt service is necessary. Using our Snap-On Solus® diagnostic scanner, entered each of the vehicle systems and found them to be clear of codes. Looking over the chassis, the brakes looked good in the front but we installed new rotors and pads in the rear. Going over the climate control system, everything seemed to be in good order. We changed the cabin air filter for you. Finishing up, we installed new wiper blades, front and rear. Shop around and then ADD IT UP! Why buy one that needs work? We did a few things to make the car “just right”. For starters, we did an oil/filter change, installing a correct aluminum sealing washer on the drain plug. We also installed a new seal on the oil cap since the original had become hard and brittle. Volvo allows you to service the seal separately from the cap. Using our Snap-On Solus® diagnostic scanner, we noticed some shift solenoid codes which are common on the early AW-55 transmission. What happens is that the electronic shift solenoids stick and the shift quality is not as good as when new. However, the transmissions in these vehicles can go a long time with service. So, we replaced the electronic shift solenoids in the valve body and did a complete transmission fluid change using the correct Mobile 3309 fluid. This procedure took care of the codes, and now shifts as designed. While under the vehicle, we noticed that one of the motor mounts was soft so we replaced it. Most dealers would have “let ‘er go” but we don’t mind doing a little extra so you don’t have to. Finishing up under the hood, we checked the air filter and vacuumed out the air intake box. Those tend to accumulate debris like leaves and sand, so we cleaned that out for you. Looking over the chassis, the brakes looked good, both front and rear. Service and Inspection Report: We brought this nice XC70 in for service and found things in very good order. There were a few things in need of attention to bring it up to our standards. For starters, we did an oil/filter change, installing a correct aluminum sealing washer on the drain plug. We also installed a new seal on the oil cap since the original had become hard and brittle. Volvo allows you to service the seal separately from the cap. Continuing under the hood, we decided to install a NEW TIMING BELT that included belt, tensioner and idler pulley. We couldn’t determine if the belt had been changed, so, as usual, we installed a new one for you. We always replace spark plugs using Denso™ brand when doing timing belts on Volvo vehicles and those are new, as well. While servicing the timing belt, we noted that the lower outer motor mount was in need of replacement so we installed a new one. Those mounts are typically good for 10 years or so and rather than “let ‘er go” like most dealers, we put the new part in for you. Using our Snap-On Solus® diagnostic scanner, we noticed some shift solenoid codes which are common on the early AW-55 transmission. The Javelin offered here is a very accurate recreation of a 1972 model and it's powered by the 401 power plant. It runs and drives excellent and the air is cold. Its powered by a sweet running 289 engine, connected with a C4 automatic transmission and 8 inch rear end. The car was built in Califonia and has lived in the flat lands of Alabama for many year. It stops good with the factory disc brakes in front and drums in the rear, no power steering, but I think it drive very good. The bright red paint is nice and the interior good. I think all the panels are original to the car, no under coating so you can see it all. This is a good honest car, its just not a new perfect car! VIN: 6R07C155328 NO DOOR TAG MILES: 51122 reading and I'm sure you can add another 100,000. HISTORY: I bought the car from a older retired man from New Hope, Alabama. He had owned the car for many years and had bought it from some relatives in the same town. The 2nd digit in the VIN indiates that the car was originally built in California. Sorry, but thats all I can tell you! My decription is not a inspection! Its the way I see the car, please come and look at it! IS THIS A REAL GT CAR? It has the stuff, GT dual exhaust, fog lights, stripes and front disc brakes. I'm not selling as a real GT, just a good copy. HAS THE CAR EVER BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT? I see no signs of a accident, all the panels look original to me, no kinks or bends and the registration of title is clean. The front frame members have some dings on the bottom, almost all do, its the lowest point and they cause no problem at all. IS THIS A RUSTY CAR? In my opinion it is not a rusty car. It have everything going for it. It was built in California, it lived most of it life in Alabama, it has the original panels. ENGINE: Its suppose to be the original 289 cubic inch V8. I have not looked for casting codes, but I think it is correct. The engine has no bad knocks or rattles and no blue smoke that I see. It runs very good and has a couple of up grades. The carb is now a Edelbrock 4V mounted on a aluminum intake that says Shelby. Past owner though the intake was something spcial, I guess Shelby sold some after market intakes. TRANSMISSION: Its a C4 automatic that shifts good to me. REAR-END: Its the stock 8 inch Ford, it has no bad whines or growls. Its a good highway gearing. PAINT: I consider it real nice drive and enjoy quality! The bright red has a brillant shine, no dents, no dings and no rust bubbles. It some touched up chips on the edge of the hood and a little place on the right door edge. PANEL FIT: Standard early Mustang, its noting to brag about. They were built fast and things did not fit perfect. The worst thing I see is the bottom front of the doors are out some, I will see if it will adjust a little better. Look at the pictures close, they show it all. INTERIOR: Good used condition! The head liner is real nice with no holes and its not sagging. The seat covers are good, one bad place on the passengers bottom, its a round slick place, I took 3 pictures of it. The carpet getting a litte fuzzy, the front door panels new, the dash pad good. CHROME: Very good, the worst thing I see is 2 dull places on the front bumper and pitted backup lights. The windshield chrome has some little dings, I gues it was done when the new windshield was put in. LIGHTS: The headlights work, taill light work, brake lights work, turn signals work, backup lights work and interior under dash light work. GLASS: The windshield looks like new, side window clear, back window fine. WIPERS WORK! HORN NOT WORKING! HEATER BLOWER WORKING! SPEEDOMETER WORKING! GAS GAUGE WORKS! OIL GAUGE WORKS! FOG LIGHTS WORK! AFTERMARKET RADIO WORK! EXHAUST: Very good used condition, I like the sound. TITLE: Its Alabama, they do it a little different. Some orther states also do it the way they do. Its powered by a sweet running 289 engine, connected with a C4 automatic transmission and 8 inch rear end. The car was built in Califonia and has lived in the flat lands of Alabama for many year. It stops good with the factory disc brakes in front and drums in the rear, no power steering, but I think it drive very good. The bright red paint is nice and the interior good. I think all the panels are original to the car, no under coating so you can see it all. This is a good honest car, its just not a new perfect car! VIN: 6R07C155328 NO DOOR TAG MILES: 51122 reading and I'm sure you can add another 100,000. HISTORY: I bought the car from a older retired man from New Hope, Alabama. He had owned the car for many years and had bought it from some relatives in the same town. The 2nd digit in the VIN indiates that the car was originally built in California. Sorry, but thats all I can tell you! My decription is not a inspection! Its the way I see the car, please come and look at it! IS THIS A REAL GT CAR? It has the stuff, GT dual exhaust, fog lights, stripes and front disc brakes. I'm not selling as a real GT, just a good copy. HAS THE CAR EVER BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT? I see no signs of a accident, all the panels look original to me, no kinks or bends and the registration of title is clean. The front frame members have some dings on the bottom, almost all do, its the lowest point and they cause no problem at all. IS THIS A RUSTY CAR? In my opinion it is not a rusty car. It have everything going for it. It was built in California, it lived most of it life in Alabama, it has the original panels. ENGINE: Its suppose to be the original 289 cubic inch V8. I have not looked for casting codes, but I think it is correct. The engine has no bad knocks or rattles and no blue smoke that I see. It runs very good and has a couple of up grades. The carb is now a Edelbrock 4V mounted on a aluminum intake that says Shelby. Past owner though the intake was something spcial, I guess Shelby sold some after market intakes. TRANSMISSION: Its a C4 automatic that shifts good to me. REAR-END: Its the stock 8 inch Ford, it has no bad whines or growls. Its a good highway gearing. PAINT: I consider it real nice drive and enjoy quality! The bright red has a brillant shine, no dents, no dings and no rust bubbles. It some touched up chips on the edge of the hood and a little place on the right door edge. PANEL FIT: Standard early Mustang, its noting to brag about. They were built fast and things did not fit perfect. The worst thing I see is the bottom front of the doors are out some, I will see if it will adjust a little better. Look at the pictures close, they show it all. INTERIOR: Good used condition! The head liner is real nice with no holes and its not sagging. The seat covers are good, one bad place on the passengers bottom, its a round slick place, I took 3 pictures of it. The carpet getting a litte fuzzy, the front door panels new, the dash pad good. CHROME: Very good, the worst thing I see is 2 dull places on the front bumper and pitted backup lights. The windshield chrome has some little dings, I gues it was done when the new windshield was put in. LIGHTS: The headlights work, taill light work, brake lights work, turn signals work, backup lights work and interior under dash light work. GLASS: The windshield looks like new, side window clear, back window fine. WIPERS WORK! HORN NOT WORKING! HEATER BLOWER WORKING! SPEEDOMETER WORKING! GAS GAUGE WORKS! OIL GAUGE WORKS!
