Bentley T 1970 Stunning Condition –Unrestored, original factory example. This is a most desirable chrome bumper era Bentley T, finished in classic Masons black with master artisan applied hand-painted deep red fine-lines to the body waist-lines and hub-cap beauty rings. The Connolly interior is finished in rich St James red Connolly hides with matching floor rugs. The colour ensemble is very classic. This Bentley T is a stunning example that has recently been gone-through by the Park-Ward Motors Museum - a leader in Rolls-Royce restoration with over 30 years Rolls-Royce and Bentley experience. Indeed; "Masters of the Art". The Bentley T ("T1 ") is the rare derivative of the Silver Shadow. It was the twin sister to the Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow and is differentiated by a Bentley radiator grille, mascot and "Flying B". It has a slightly lower bonnet (hood) with different shaping in the sheet metal and is distinguished further with “Bentley” hubcaps and boot badging. Unique to these earlier Bentleys, is the fitment of "B" logos on the speedometer and brake pedal (a nice touch - something that was sadly deleted by Rolls-Royce in later years). Out of some 32,000 4 door Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow sedans produced, only 1,700 of these were Bentley Ts (that is only some 5% of the model series). Less than a third of these were exported to the US, so this example is 1 car out of some 550 such rare examples. Take into account that the number of remaining survivors would be considerably less and discount further those that are in poor condition, then this T1 Bentley may well be 1 out of only a few dozen examples in theUS in this very fine condition. The exterior presentation of this Bentley T is simply lovely. The body is exceptionally straight and the paint is of an excellent high standard and finish. It is predominantly all original with only very few minor marks and blemishes including the typical (but minor) fracture lines at the A & C pillars. The paint finish is consistent, very shiny and deep lustered. The fine lines are the original, hand-painted by a craftsman of the art. Fitments and finishes are in excellent to flawless condition; chrome, bright-work, glass, lights, lenses, handles, grille and badges. The interior of the car is in stunning presentation. The burl walnut wood is spectacular. All the wood, dash, console, door cappings and vanity mirrors are original - NEVER refinished - and in remarkable condition with only very minor hairline cracks in the clear lacquer on a couple of the doors. These are all photographed for you to see. Their condition is such that they do not warrant redoing and we think the fact they are original prevails. The rest of the interior is very clean and tidy and requires no attention. The Connolly hide leather is superb showing just the right amount of patina. There are definitely no tears, wear or unsightly scratches or marks and remain soft and supple. The headliner is very clean and in excellent original condition. The dash board and rear parcel shelf are factory excellent. Carpets are close to perfect and the trunk is very clean, tidy and presents well. All interior features and functions are fully operational including all electrics – seats, windows and gauges. The heater is hot and A/C blowing icy cold. Mechanically, the car is in superior condition and the presentation under the bonnet clearly shows that. It has not been “done-up” for sale but maintained in original condition which is very impressive for the age of the car. The car has been recently serviced. All hydraulics and brakes have been inspected, pressure tested, bled and working perfectly – all heights are correct - and there are no outstanding matters requiring attention. A good set of 215/75 whitewall tyres, with plenty of tread, adorn each corner of the car. As expected of a fine example, the car comes with its correct jack, tools and operating manual. At 87,000 miles, the mileage is not verifiable but the current condition makes it look many miles less. It is very important to note, this Bentley has NOT been "tarted-up" but simply very well maintained in original factory condition. Anything repaired or attended to has been done so professionally and with pride & passion by its 3 previous owners. The car is an extremely beautiful presenting example that is well in advance of any Bentley T and is in excellent driver condition. If the wood is in need of repair (as most are) it is refinished in-house by trained and talented craftsmen at Park-Ward Motors. This is a detailed process of stripping the wood of its old lacquer, repairing the veneer if there is damage, staining the top surface as per Rolls-Royce methodology and refinishing with no less than 25 coats of clear lacquer. Hand wet-sanded and polished between all of its last 15 coats. New window felt guides and wood-to-glass foam seals are fitted. All window mechanisms are checked and serviced for smooth and efficient up and down movement. This includes an electrical modification to rectify the typical “slow window syndrome”. All tracks, chains and gears are lubricated. Where central locking is fitted, these are all serviced to ensure no “solenoid sticking”, another common problem. Units are repaired and or changed as required for refurbished units. Door wiring and door-to-body wiring is checked, repaired and/or replaced as required. The splash plastic on the inside of the doors to protect the leather panels from rain splash from inside the door is replaced with correct specification black plastic as used by the factory. Cut to shape and glued in position as per original. All door hardware is checked and repaired as required including locks, handles and scuttle finishes. The door is reassembled with all items cleaned and polished. The wood refitted and the leather panels are re-Connollised before final fitment. We thoroughly check them and replace things that are identified faulty. But please understand, by example; if we change a brake line because it appears aged or faulty, we do NOT at the same time replace all other hoses because they are of similar age. This is considered "preventative maintenance". We do not do this unless specifically requested and is not included in the purchase price. Feel free to ask for this additional service. Further, a feature or function that is working perfectly one moment, may decide to play-up the next. After all, it is some 45 years old. This is the nature of any classic car and especially a Rolls-Royce which was very "complicated" for its era. Bentley T2 The ultimate of the Bentley T/Shadow from Crewe 1979 A stunning and beautiful presenting example! Here is a really stunning example of a Bentley T2. Finished in white with black fine lines to the waist-rails. The interior has handsome "dark chocolate" Connolly hides and matching dark brown carpets. The same chocolate theme carries through to the boot. Only a very small number of Bentley T2s were made. They are the twin sister to the Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow II. It is differentiated by a Bentley radiator grille, mascot and "Flying B". It has a slightly lower bonnet (hood) with different shaping in the sheet metal and with the car having “Bentley” hubcaps, boot and head-light brow badging. Their limited number is notable; out of the 10,000 odd Shadow IIs manufactured (including their long wheel base derivatives; the Wraith II) only 5% were Bentley T2s. This makes them highly desirable in their category. Especially when you consider the even smaller amount that are left remaining – probably only 200 world-wide. This is an unmolested example that has been beautifully maintained and presents in excellent condition. It is primarily all original with no modifications - right down to the original Blaupunkt "blue dot" radio. This was a west coast car all its life so it is a “dry” car that has had a garaged environment. As a result, it has been freed from the perils of harsh weather and is very clean underneath. It has always been well maintained and serviced and comes with its original manual. The Bentley T2 presented here has been work-shop inspected with all work neededcarried out. Important costly items such as the hydraulics and brakes are fully inspected and serviced as required. This includes checking of all brake hoses and system pressure tested and bled. It is ready to drive and enjoy. The odometer shows a low 75,800 and although this is not verifiable, the mileage is commensurate with the condition (particularly when you look at the condition of the interior, under-hood, brake pedal etc). The car easily looks like it has done only 30,000! It is very quiet and smooth on the road without any of the typical “thumps” and “rattles” typical of poor (or even averagely) maintained examples of this model. The interior looks close to perfect. The dark chocolate leather is in absolutely outstanding condition with no tears nor fading and true to its Connolly characteristics. The leather really has been lovingly preserved. The burr walnut wood throughout the car is stunning. All the wood was redone to “factory standard” by a leadingCalifornia wood re-finisher at a cost of some $4,000. The process was done in accordance with the Rolls-Royce "multi-layer lacquering technique" which involves painstaking wet sanding and buffing by hand between all coats. The final finish on the wood throughout is simply stunning and is like glass. And, you have to thank Mother Nature for its beauty. The grain and pattern with lights and darks makes it one of the most beautiful Rolls-Royce woods I have ever seen. Absolutely stunning! The head lining is original and in perfect condition. The originalWilton wool carpets with leather binding are in excellent condition. Likewise is the leather finish to the dash and top-roll. Even the boot (trunk) carpet with the same theme is in excellent condition. The exterior presentation of this Bentley T2 is simply breath-taking. The body is exceptionally straight and the paint is of excellent high standard and finish. The paint is so shiny and lustrous it is hard to believe it is original and yet there are no signs of it. The finish is entirely consistent with almost no marks or blemishes. Certainly, the paint needs nothing other than a wax from time to time. The car has near new Hankook white-wall tyres fitted with plenty of tread and the hubcaps are excellent with no imperfections in the stainless rings or caps. All remaining bright-work is in good condition. This T2 has the option of exterior rear-view mirrors on both doors. All electrics have been checked right down to the smallest and insignificant dash and courtesy light. Even the clock keeps good time! Under the bonnet, the presentation is amazing. It has not been precision detailed but simply kept clean and tidy throughout its life. The under-bonnet heat pads are like new! You must take the time to look at the photos of the engine bay as its presentation is like that of only a 5 year old example. Simply stunning! As you would expect, this Bentley T2 comes with its original jack, correct tools and operating manual. The car is of very high standard and is an easy 9 out of 10 driver rating. ~~ This stately Wraith II is an excellent condition representation of the marque that is ready to be driven and enjoyed. I am selling my 1980 Trans am pace car project. This includes two cars! One car the engine is out but do have it. Missing the seats and some of the other interior. Clean title, rust free floors, doors, trunk lid, rear valance, etc. Only rust on whole car is lower front fenders. I don't know if the turbo engine from this car is the original but is out of a 1980. The second car is a matching numbers car, is complete but has a salvage title. don't know why because no real clear areas of repair. The interrior in this car is in pretty good shade and also has rust free doors and lot of other good sheet metal. Both cars are highly optioned. WS6 performance suspension, turbo light hoods, mirror t-tops power everything, cruise control, ac and so on. Both of these cars are very restoreable cars in there own right, but I was going to take the clean title car that has a almost perfect body and take drive line and interior from other car and put it in that shell. Pace car parts are not easy to come by or cheap, thus build one from the two. The car with the salvage title I was going to turn into a SE.
