We are thrilled to present this ’66 Chevelle Pro Touring Restomod. It’s not every day that we get a detailed build history of the cars we sell, but this one is particularly interesting. This car was hand-picked and custom built by former Nascar driver, Rich Bickle, to become the slick, pavement eating beast you see before you – appropriately named, “Bad to the Bone”. Rich tells us the car was plucked out of New Mexico as a rust free candidate with a flawless body. His vision included creating some depth by adding a 2” rocker and lower front fender, Forgeline wheels (yes, those are $6000 rims you’re looking at) are wrapped in BFG rubber and staggered 275/35/18 on the front and 335/30/18 on the rear – giving it a slammin’ stance! The two-tone gloss black and pewter paint is a stunning combo that radiates in the sunlight and sets the tone for the quality throughout. The devil is in the details on this one – don’t overlook the Ring Bros. billet satin black hood hinges, dark tinted windows, hand airbrushed badges, mirror-like bumpers and flawless brightwork –a clear indication of a serious investment. One glance in the engine bay, and you’ll know this car means business with some serious performance substance and over $3800 invested in add-on engine parts alone. Less than 500 miles on this thundering and freshly rebuilt big block 454 V8 with roller cam, Billet serpentine system with new center force clutch and pressure plate that is backed by a new Tremec TKO 500 5 speed transmission mated to a new Ford 9” 3.70 gear with locker. Special attention was given to the chassis – fully powder coated in black and built by Bickle’s former business, Muscle up Performance. This one is built to handle like no other with 4 link rear suspension QA1 adjustable shocks with chrome springs, mustang power rack, Wildwood four-wheeled disc brake package with slotted rotors, front and rear sway bars. The rumble from side exhaust lets the neighborhood know you have the wickedest car on the block! The interior is classic old school with bucket seats upholstered to mimic the exterior black and pewter color combination. Carpets, headliner, dash, and door panels are in impeccable shape. Exceptional sounding AM/FM stereo system that isn’t overkill. This aggressive, take-no-prisoners restomod is a unique vehicle that comes with receipts totaling over $50k in just parts and has all the features and quality you want with unmatchable performance! The process, the craftsmanship, the factory they are built in have all remained the same since their genesis in 1936. 80 years later these cars are still in production, making them on of the longest running production cars to date. The nostalgic Morgan 4/4 was the British car manufacturer’s first road car that utilized a 4-wheel platform. In past years, Morgan was known for their 3-wheelers that boasted a unique tri-wheel design of which they had great success with. However, due to changes in tax regulations, it made vehicles powered by motorbike engines more expensive to run. This, among other factors, encouraged Morgan to build a proper automobile which spawned the creation of the 4/4 which designates its 4-cylinder, 4-wheel set up. It utilized Morgan’s signature steel chassis and wooden frame which they diligently fit and cater to each example the rolls off the production line. The 4/4 was one of the ultimate open two seater sports cars to have at the time and is still adored to this day for its nostalgia and performance. The example on offer is a 1936 Morgan 4/4 chassis number 096, making it one the earliest known production 4/4’s in existence. Because of the attention to detail of this example’s previous caretakers, there is a complete history file of this car, which allows us to learn quite a bit about this car’s story. Not much is depicted about the first two decades of this Morgan’s life other than it was first registered on December 1, 1936 but it is unclear whom the first owner was. The timeline picks up in 1959 where between then and 1969 there appears to be a total of seven changes in ownership with the car ending with a Mr. Clive Perry in Worchester, England in the very town the car was built, Malvern. Upon acquisition, Mr. Perry purchased rear wings for the car from Morgan Motor Co. and we see a series of receipts of miscellaneous items purchased by Perry for the next 19 years or so. It appeared that Mr. Perry was having a restoration completed on the car for when he purchased it in 1969, for a mere 50 pounds, the car was far from road worthy. The exact date the restoration was completed is unknown but if we refer to the period photographs we see it was finished for the 1982 Concours at Walton Hall. We then see that Perry decided to embark in a series of time trails and hill climbs over the next several years, participating the Dobshill Farm Production Car Trial on October 16, 1983 as well as the following year with the Morgan Sports Club to celebrate 75 years of Morgan. He then participated in the Curborough Sprint on December 8, 1985 with Shenstone & District Car Club. Perry did race again on July 12, 1987 but we do not know what event, as there is only a time slip showing he completed two trials in 53.16 and 52.58 seconds. The last piece of documentation of Mr. Perry’s ownership is a storage charge form the Midland Motor Museum of Shropshire, England dated October 16, 1988 where it was kept for a touch over a year on loan. Then the paper trail goes cold for about 5 years until we see that the car incurred an emissions test certificate under a new owner’s name in 1993 with the car still remaining in England at this point. There was another series of what appears to be 3 owners as we enter the 2000’s where we see that the owner at the time had gauges rebuilt and wooden dash re-varnished in 2006. The car was then purchased by its current owner from a dealer in Holland and brought to the States within the last year. Unfortunately, he quickly made the realization that he was much too tall to drive the car with comfort so he has decided to pass it along to its next custodian. Before we move on it is to be noted that upon acquisition, the current owner immediately commenced the tending to of any and all systems on the car to make it absolutely turn key and without fault. This refreshing of the car totaled a touch over $9,000 in receipts and was completed by the marque specialists at Brooklands Engineering Works, LTD in Stratford Connecticut. Upon approach of this car, the craftsmanship of the restoration very much resembles that of the trained hands that originally built this car in the sheds of Malvern. The British racing green paint shows phenomenally, with great depth, and holds a nice shine. The paint is even and consistent throughout the iconic body lines of the car and really accentuate those gorgeous slopping front fenders. The only notable blemishes regarding the paint are located in a common area where the rounded bonnet meets the body and some scattered faint surface scratching. When opening, and closing each side of the bonnet, if one is not attentively careful, it is each to nick the paint of the inner fender however, it is not severe and is really only noticed when one goes to open the bonnet. As far as the minor surface scratching that has developed, they would be easily remedied with a proper buffing and detail. The black soft has held up well with no tears, pulls, or fading to report. The door curtains for this car are presentable but show some signs of aging. The paint on the metal frames has begun to fail. Inspecting the panel gaps and seams of this example there are absolutely no issues to be had with all clearances and fitment spot on. The chrome bezels, windscreen frame, and trim items are in driver quality condition and consistent with the rest of the car with only slight fading present on a few chrome pieces as well as a missing emblem on the top of the passenger side blinker bezel. Opening up the door reveals a well-kept interior with a hint of patina which one would expect with an older restoration. It is to be noted the paint in the jams has some moderate chipping for what appears to be a clearance issue at some point. One could have them refinished but it is not necessary as it is an item not to be unexpected with an 80-year-old car. The black leather seats are in great shape with no imperfections to report. The dash face is very much presentable and the wooden accent piece, which lies over top, has not incurred any cracks, scratches, or damage. Take a peak under the rubber mats and one will see that the floors are as solid as wood can be. Shifting our attention to the engine bay, opening the bonnet and one is greeted with the 1,122cc Coventry Climax cylinder power plant. It has clearly benefited largely from the restoration all components and surfaces have the appropriate finished are very tidy. All data tags, markings, and designations are all intact and correct for this car. There has been one welcomed update made and that is the addition of an electric cooling fan mounted to the back of the radiator, improving the reliability of the car. An inspection of the underside of this example will conclude that all items are in order and there are no quarrels to be had, showing consistent for an older restoration. Mechanically, this Morgan can easily be described as a well sorted example that you can simply get in a drive to any show, rally, or tour. Every system was tediously gone through during the recent servicing to ensure that this car would run and drive like new. Hoses, plugs, electrical system, cool system, steering, etc. were all inspected and any corrections needed were made. This example is absolutely “dialed in” mechanically for even when cold, just engage the choke and tug the starter pull with promptly result in the engine firing. Once warm, disengage the choke and the engine will quickly settle to a pleasant idle without sputtering. Once on the road one can really begin to appreciate these cars for they offer a fantastic visceral experience. This example pulls well producing an intoxicating noise that would give any enthusiast the fizz. The clutch operates beautifully and transmission goes in and out of gear without hassle. Apply the brakes and they respond as expected with no pull or fade to be noted. For a Morgan from 1936, the steering feels good with little play and surprisingly usable at low speeds. During use the engine holds a steady operating temperature and generates proper oil pressure. In essence, the 1936 Morgan 4/4 we are left with today is a very well documented example that showcases concours level restoration to period correct standards that has aged beautifully. This car is also unique in the sense that it is one the of earliest known production 4/4’s which makes this example exceptionally rare and desirable amongst enthusiasts everywhere. The 4/4 was a popular car to partake in racing events as this car was but unfortunately that lead to many of them getting wrecked or modified. In addition, many cars also did not survive WWII as the need for precious metal was in high demand. This adds to the splendor of this particular example and is truly remarkable the spectacular condition the car is in since it was built 80 years ago. This nostalgic pre-war Morgan embodies all of the right elements that make it valuable to own and enjoy. Offered with the sale of this car are the history file, books, and tools.

2004 Cadillac XLR Black Raven/Ebony 38,100 miles. 3rd owner. Garage Kept! Clean Car Fax! No Accidents! Sirus! This is priced right at $22,999. Not looking to rip off or be ripped off. Please no low ball offers respect the XLR. The extras alone are worth about $800. I really don't want to sell my car, I like taking it out on nice weekends; top down, head turning, appreciative looks from the ladies damn I don't want to sell it. Truth is I hardly get the chance to drive it much lately. And I find myself in the incredibly financially stressful situation; my three entitled unappreciative brats are all attending college simultaneously. (side note advice to any future fathers: space the little bastards 4 years apart). On with the car: When looking for a XLR I knew exactly what I wanted, looked at, test drove, talked to the sellers of about seven different ones. I traveled the northeast to do so and when I found this one I did the deal right then with no hesitation. Main reason: this guy was so anal about this car, always garaged, never seen rain, he was a mechanic, his family owned a big car repair center, and the car was gorgeous! Spoke to the first owner and confirmed no accidents. Car was listed on ebay with a AutoCheck when I purchased it which showed no accidents. Picture included so I was surprised when I did this listing that one now shows up in Autocheck. I just paid $39.99 to car fax today 5/31 which shows no accidents. Cant figure out how to upload to ebay but can email you the reports. Pic included. I will be calling Autocheck to get to the bottom of this. Very late build 6/2004. High Serial #4226. All Manuals and Navigation DVD. Always garaged, never seen rain, always high octane gas.Three FOBs one brand new. One I keep in the trunk storage compartment with battery in case of a emergency. Ownership: 1st owner Birth to 10/1/20092nd owner 10/1/2009 to 7/3/20123rd owner (me) 7/3/2012 Maintenance:Oil change a year. New Air Filter.Cabin Air Filter.Weather stripping conditioned each year. The local dealership ran a vehicle report and found two open recalls and took care of them. Upgrades: Slotted Rotors and new ceramic brake pads. Painted Calipers. Chromed and Customized Factory Rims. Lloyd Mats Floor Mats. Lighted Engraved Wind Restrictor wired to plug into center console power plug. I have the instruction and switch that can be installed. I preferr to open the console and plug it in rather than drill a hole in the dash. Michelin HX MXM4 Zero Pressure Run Flat. No Goodyear tires and a BS tire repair repair kit that half of the XLRs have. I have a OEM front license plate holder but didn't want to drill the two holes in the the front bumper to install so I never did, never got pulled over for it either. Extras: Service Manual Book 1 and 2. 2004 Cadillac XLR 12-Page Sales Brochure measures 8 1/2 x 11 1/4 and contains 12 pages. 2004 Cadillac XLR CTS STS Road Test Sales Brochure-40 page Road Test Report brochure. 2004 Cadillac XLR Deluxe Sales Brochure. about 14x10" with 40 pages. Cadillac XLR Roadster Ballpoint Pen and Stylus in One. Gift from Cadillac w/purchase Hard Backed 2004 XLR Press Kit. 12 1/2 x 91/2 with 52 pages and CD. Only available to press at Auto Shows prior to XLR launch. Imperfections: With no wax in the sunlight you can see swirls marks. There are 3 paint chips maybe 1/16th of a inch each two on the roof one is old and someone touched up, the other is fresh and pictured next to the quarter. The other is on the the above the grill that has also been touched up which is pictured. There is a scratch on the inside windshield about 2 inches that is impossible to photograph which was done by a disgruntled motor vehicle worker who didn't like bending down to remove my old inspection sticker and his razor on stick scratched the windshield. It doesn't bother me so I never called safe-light to see if its fixable. The driver front seat has a like a small rub on it maybe from the seat belt? It small and I never see it as I am sitting on it when I am driving. View Carfax ReportNot all accidents or other issues are reported to CARFAX. The number of owners is estimated. About Us Holman Automotive History - “The Early Years” Holman Automotive was founded in 1924, when Steward C. Holman signed a contract with Ford Motor Company to become the area dealer in Merchantville, NJ. He was financed by his partner, Charles M. Rice of Lewiston, PA. The dealership was named Rice and Holman Ford, and sold Model T, Model A, and the first V-8 models during its early years. Today, the Holman Automotive Group consists of over 25 operating companies which include dealerships, two local leasing companies, a parts distributorship, a truck up-fitting business, and the largest privately-owned fleet leasing company in the country. Steward Holman’s success with Rice and Holman Ford led to many other opportunities in conjunction with Ford Motor Company. In 1939, he took over the area distributorship for Lincoln Mercury. This operation began at the Maple Avenue facility in Pennsauken, NJ, and after one year - as Merlin Motor Co. - relocated to Camden, NJ. That same year, the company began remanufacturing Ford engines and transmissions at the Rice and Holman dealership. This operation grew steadily, and in 1946 was established as Reconditioned Motors and Parts (RMP), a Ford authorized remanufacturer, also located in Pennsauken, NJ. The partnership with Ford Motor Company continued in 1947, when Steward Holman established the beginning of its South Florida operations by opening a Lincoln Mercury dealership in Fort Lauderdale. During the following year, Ford Motor Company asked Rice and Holman Ford to organize a leasing and rental subsidiary to supply the RCA service fleet. This company was named Automotive Rentals, Inc (ARI) and took up a corner of the showroom. By the early 1950’s, the South Florida operations had doubled in size with the addition of another Lincoln Mercury dealership in Hollywood. It was at this time that R&H Management was formed to more effectively direct the activities of the expanding operations. In 1959, a Lincoln Mercury dealership was purchased in Miami, Florida, and in New Jersey, a leasing business called R&H Leasing was formed. The company followed in 1963 with the addition of several leasing operations in Florida in conjunction with the existing dealerships. “A Time of Expansion” The 1970’s were a time for general growth and expansion of current businesses. RMP grew in 1970 through the acquisition of several similar remanufacturing companies located in Massachusetts, Maryland, and the Delaware Valley. This added both new sales and additional capacity to the operations. In 1972, a corporate reorganization resulted in R&H Management becoming Holman Enterprises, a corporate holding and management company. The South Florida operations also grew during the 1970’s by establishing another Lincoln Mercury dealership in 1974, located in Pompano Beach, Florida. ARI completed a decade of growth by building and moving into a new facility in Maple Shade, NJ in 1979. The Holman Automotive Group added many new dimensions to the business throughout the 1980’s. The company entered the high line luxury business with the addition of Lauderdale Imports, Ltd., a Rolls Royce/Bentley dealership in 1985. Later that same year, the Company acquired a new Lincoln Mercury dealership in Stratford, NJ. The Southern operations added a new Lincoln Mercury franchise in Margate, Florida in 1988. Both RMP and ARI continued their expansion throughout the 80’s. RMP acquired new business territories in Ohio and Michigan completing expansion into the mid-west. ARI acquired Fleet Body Equipment (FBE) in Kansas City Missouri in 1982, and Lend Lease Cars, Inc in 1989. The addition of FBE allowed the company to design and build special-purpose vehicles, while the acquisition of Lend Lease Cars, Inc., allowed the company to enter into the markets of small to mid-sized fleets. With this expansion, ARI outgrew their Maple Shade offices and in 1990 moved into a larger facility in Mt. Laurel, NJ. “The Growth Continues…” The Holman Automotive Group continued growing throughout the 1990’s. The leasing operations had grown substantially enough that they were reorganized into two central locations for greater efficiency. In 1990, Holman Leasing opened in Pennsauken, NJ and South Florida Leasing opened in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. During the following year, FBE expanded its operations by establishing a second location in Ft. Worth, TX. As ARI continued to grow they began occupying two facilities in Mt. Laurel, and one in Maple Shade. By 1995, over 900 employees were working for ARI, and they were considered to be the third largest fleet leasing company in the industry. In 1998, RMP exited the remanufacturing business, while continuing the distribution side of the business. The dealership business was also prospering during this time. Holman Infiniti of Maple Shade and Lauderdale Imports, Ltd/BMW in Ft. Lauderdale were added in 1991. This was followed in 1998 by the acquisition of Holman Ford of Turnersville, and the transfer of the Stratford Lincoln Mercury dealership to its new home in Turnersville. In 1999 new construction was completed and Pines Lincoln Mercury opened in Pembroke Pines, FL. The new millennium brought even more growth for Holman. In 2002, Lauderdale MINI was established, and operated from a shared facility with Lauderdale Imports, Ltd. /BMW in Ft. Lauderdale. The following year, the company acquired a Honda franchise in Ft. Lauderdale, Fl. During 2004 Lauderdale Imports Ltd. BMW expanded into a second location in Pembroke Pines, FL, and the company also acquired a Volvo franchise, and coupled it with the existing Lincoln Mercury franchise in Margate, Florida. RMP acquired Life Star Rescue Inc. in the summer of 2006. Life Star Rescue Inc., located in Van Wert, OH specializes in sales, remount and refurbishing of emergency vehicles. In order to maintain its solid position in this fast paced industry, the Holman Automotive Group took several steps to reach a broader market in both NJ and Florida. In 2007, the company acquired DeSimone BMW and Cadillac in Mt. Laurel, NJ. The company names were later changed to BMW of Mt. Laurel and Holman Cadillac respectively. Also in 2007, the company acquired a Ford dealership in Florida and merged it with the existing Lincoln Mercury dealership in Pompano. Cherry Hill Toyota – Scion was acquired in 2008 and was moved to a new facility in Mt. Laurel. The company name was changed to Holman Toyota - Scion. Also in 2008, Holman Ford in Mt. Laurel and Holman Lincoln Mercury in Maple Shade merged operations at the Maple Shade, NJ location. In early 2009, Holman was selected to represent the MINI brand in Mt. Laurel, NJ. MINI of Mt. Laurel is due to open in the 4th quarter of 2010. The southern operations opened Audi Pembroke Pines, the organization’s first Audi dealership, in July of 2009 and Lauderdale Infiniti, the southern operations first Infiniti dealership, in January of 2010. Meanwhile, RMP acquired Dealers Engine Sales, a similar Ford Authorized Distributor in December of 2009, which allowed the company to increase their sales territory substantially. Also in early 2010, Holman Leasing started operating under the trade name of Steward Financial Services. In 1990, Holman Automotive was awarded the southern New Jersey territory for Saturn. Accordingly, the company opened a point in Mt. Laurel in 1991, Turnersville in 1993, and English Creek in 1996. Holman proudly represented this brand for the 19 years of its existence, routinely winning awards for customer service excellence. It was a sad day for the company when a post-bankruptcy General Motors eliminated Saturn. Our final remaining retail facility, Saturn of Turnersville, must close by October of 2010. Holman Automotive History - “The Early Years” Holman Automotive was founded in 1924, when Steward C. Holman Automotive has been dedicated to providing outstanding service to its customers for over 85 years. During the past 8 decades the Holman Family of businesses has established a record of successful growth.
