I can assist with financing and transport as needed. This is one of my favorite retro designs. This 2010 Dodge Challenger R/T Classic is a great tribute to the old Mopar E-Body, but fortunately the resemblance is only skin deep. The new Challenger is far superior in every other way. And this example, with its Hemi power, 6-speed manual transmission, and plethora of options, really gets it right. This beautiful example, with its desirable Red and Black color combination, has just 29,000 miles and a clean history. It is very nicely optioned and in fantastic condition inside and out. The red color with black R/T striping looks very sharp, especially with the R/T Classic features including the shiny gas cap. Completing the look are the 20" aluminum wheels with new Pirelli Cinturato P7 tires. Now to my favorite part. This Challenger is powered by a 5.7L Hemi with variable valve timing. Its 376 net horsepower rating is more than the famous 1970 426ci Hemi and its 425 gross / 350 net. Hard to believe, until you step on the gas. There is plenty of power while the performance exhaust sounds great, especially under load. This car also has the optional Trak Pak setup. This includes a 6-speed Tremec manual transmission mated to a limited slip rear end with 3.92 gears. All this performance remains very easy to drive and includes speed sensitive steering, electronic stability control, and anti-lock disc brakes. The leather interior is officially called Dark Slate Gray but looks black. It is in excellent condition and still smells new. The front heated buckets are both comfortable and supportive. Note the beautiful embroidered headrests and rear seat. The factory pistol grip shifter and bright pedals are nice touches too. The centerpiece of the dash is the optional Uconnect system with its 6.5" touch screen, GPS navigation, 40GB hard drive, satellite radio, and more. This car has a ton of curb appeal but is also very impressive on the road. Push the start button, grab the pistol grip shifter, throttle up, and let it loose. 1970 was good, but this is much better. W116Mercedes450 SEL 1976 Incredible condition "barn find"! This is an amazing and simply gorgeous condition Mercedes 450 SEL that sat in storage for the last 15 years. Finished in Anthracite Grey with black leather interior there is virtually nothing on this example that is not simply immaculate. The best way to describe this S-class is to pretend you are in 1980 and you are buying a well-kept certified 1976 Mercedes from the authorised dealer. Even though this was a Wisconsin car its whole life, the underside of the car is clean as a whistle. Absolutely without a spec of rust anywhere. Please review the underside pictures to see just how clean this S class is. The car was owned by 2 meticulous owners who, clearly, used it in clear, warm weather only. When I got the car, we rebuilt the fuel distributor and she fired up like she was started only the week before. I am assuming this was the reason the car was originally "parked". From the moment we started her, everything worked. Even the A/C started blowing cold air! Notwithstanding, we went right thru the car, updating all services. Everything works as it should and as pictures show, is in immaculate presentation. Mechanically the car is fantastic with no known issues. Just a quick look under the hood is testament to how well this Mercedes was maintained. The mileage of 83,400 is not verifiable but clearly from the condition of the car there can be no question of accuracy. In fact, if someone was to say it had only 40,000 miles, you would most certainly believe it! All features and functions work as they should; electric windows, door locks, antenna, original Becker radio, A/C, heater, interior and exterior lights, horn.... the complete list (mind you, the clock has a mind of its own and works when it wants to. Repair is about $200). The car has Euro spec headlights fitted because I deem the US spec ones as simply ugly and beyond redemption! Body and paint is excellent. Very shiny and consistent with hardly a chip or blemish throughout. The finish is so perfect, I cant help but think the car was repainted even though there is no sign of it (looking around the VIN plate and body stickers, there is no mask off lines). Perhaps it was painted just before she went into storage. The wheels and hubcaps are all original and never repainted. All the lenses, tail lights, turn signals, chrome mouldings, side rubbers, bumpers and body finishes are simply in fantastic shape. In particular, the aluminium mouldings that Merecedes used are in great condition, whereas these are typically faded and oxidized. The interior is an equally stunning aspect of the car with the black leather interior close to perfect. She is in virtually as-new condition with no wear on the seats, carpets or headliner. The leather is like a 5 year old example; I did replace the common occuring collapsed "horse-hair" cushions on the front seats. The dash is excellent but for a crack on the edge of the cluster "hump". The Zebrano wood is beautiful without any fading, lifting or peeling albeit with a few minor hairline cracks (I reiterate "MINOR"). Have a close look at the buttons and switch gear; they look like human hands have never touched them. Simply amazing. She also appears to be a non-smoker car, so clean and sweet. Tyres are period correct Michelin X whitewalls. These look great for showing and are quite acceptable for potting around with decent tread and good ride, but if you are planning to "drive across the country", you would be wise to put a new set on as these are at least 15 years old. I think whitewalls set the car off nicely but if you don't like them, you can simply turn them inside out. Same with the Mercedes mud-flaps. These can easily be removed if they are "not you". The spare tyre is the original factory spare and has NEVER been mounted on the car; still sporting its original Mercedes factory balance weights. Tools and jack or all there. Not much more can be said but to invite you to take a close look at the many, many photos of this great Mercedes 450 SEL. Truly an immaculate example, I am sure you will agree. Surely amongst one of the better examples available for sale today. A fantastic low-cost classic luxury drive that is show worthy. This 450 SEL is a stunning example of the W116 model. One of the best years for this model, stunning condition and the perfect colour combination. A rare car for any collection! Please see additional photos at the link below. Click HERE to see many more additional photos! Click HERE to see many more additional photos! **PLEASE read auction terms and conditions below BEFORE bidding.** ~~oo00oo~~ This Mercedes is part of a private collection. Although licensed and bonded, I am not a main-stream retail car dealer or broker; I am a professional car collector of some 30 years with considerable experience and knowledge of British cars. I have a long standing reputation being associated with the Rolls-Royce marque which I take seriously. I take pride in my cars and have fun in collecting and restoring them. However, auctions are not a game so when you place a bid or offer, and you are the winning bidder, please understand you have entered a binding contract. You cannot bid and win the auction and expect not to meet the terms and conditions. Bidding and/or winning does not mean you are expecting me to “hold” the car until you have the opportunity to inspect it. Any inspection contemplated should be undertaken BEFORE you bid or make an offer and I openly welcome any potential buyer to come and personally inspect the car. Once you bid or make an offer, you are doing so to buy WITHOUT conditions. Your bid can not be subject to anything. A $2000.00 deposit (non-refundable) is required within 24 hours of the close of the auction and payable by PayPal. The balance of funds are required within 7 days of the close of the auction and must be provided by cashier’s check or bank wire. I cannot accept PayPal for the balance unless you are willing to meet the cost of transfer fees. Full payment must be made (and payments cleared) before the title and/or the vehicle is released. All payments are non-refundable. Payments as described above form an important part of this purchase contract and so, if all the funds are not received as outlined above, I reserve the right to terminate the transaction without notice. If there has been any deposit or other part payments received and I elect to terminate the contract, I reserve the right to keep any such deposits or payments and resell the vehicle to another bidder or interested party or re-list the vehicle at any time. To be clear, if you change your mind for ANY reason and do not complete the transaction in the time-frame required, you will forfeit your deposit. I am happy to assist with shipping arrangements on a national and worldwide basis but the winning bidder takes full responsibility for pickup and/or shipping and at his cost.As a collector and experienced restorer of a range of classic cars, I make every effort to bring my cars to a high standard. By comparison, my cars are generally superior to others available but they are by no means perfect. You must expect some issues. Unless specifically stated, the car is not of show standard but of nice "driver" condition. Please understand, show cars cost hundreds of thousands of dollars to achieve and sell for prices commensurate, so the sale price of this car reflects its relative condition. You are buying "condition" accordingly. Buyers should not expect to receive concours quality or "perfect" cars at these prices. Please also understand it is not always possible to attend to every item, or perhaps I may have inadvertently overlooked items. Further, and very importantly, these cars are not new. So this means a 40 year old car is predominantly comprised of 40 year old parts. And old parts will fail. All buyers must understand and expect that things can or will wear out, break and/or stop functioning without notice. This is even more likely with hand-built English cars of early technology when compared to the typical American car of the same vintage. Suspension and brakes on these cars are complex. We thoroughly check them and replace things that are identified faulty. But please understand, by example; if we change a brake line because it appears aged or faulty, we do NOT at the same time replace all other hoses because they are of similar age. This is considered "preventative maintenance". We do not do this unless specifically requested and is not included in the purchase price. Feel free to ask for this additional service. Further, a feature or function that is working perfectly one moment, may decide to play-up the next. After all, it is some 40 years old. This is the nature of any used car and especially classic European cars. For this reason it is necessary for the following condition: The vehicle is being sold "as-is/where-is" with no warranty expressed, written or implied. Any descriptions or representations are made with reasonable judgment and all efforts are made to ensure fair assessment and accuracy but they are for descriptive and identification purposes only and are not to be construed as a warranty of any type. The seller shall not be responsible for errors in description, authenticity, genuineness, or defects herein and makes no warranty in connection therewith. If any aspect of the description contradicts what can be seen in the photos, then the photos shall prevail as the reference point. No allowance or set aside will be made on account of any incorrectness, unforeseen imperfection, defect or damage. It is the responsibility of the buyer to have satisfied himself as to the condition and value and to bid based upon that judgment solely. The seller shall and will make every reasonable effort to disclose any known defects at the buyer’s request prior to the close of the auction. Seller assumes no responsibility for any repairs regardless of any written or oral statements about the vehicle. Being a classic car in excess of 10 years of age, in most US states, the mileage may be recorded as “exempt”. In this regard the seller makes no warranties as to the accuracy of the mileage indicated or shown. I can hold the vehicle up to 30 days while you arrange shipping but you must immediately insure it. I will not bear any responsibility for any additional costs including storage, transportation, or repair after the close of the auction. Whereas I am happy to store the car in excess of 30 days from auction end, a cost of $35 per day shall apply beyond 30 days of auction end. Also, you must remember that this is a 40 year old vehicle, and while it is up to you, I do not recommend that you just “hop in and drive it across the country” until you have familiarised yourself with the car. At least, I have never done that. I have always professionally transported the cars in enclosed carriers from where I bought them to my home. PLEASE; IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO ABIDE BY THESE TERMS, CONTACT ME BEFORE YOU CONTEMPLATE DOING SO AS, RESPECTFULLY, THERE CAN BE NO EXCEPTIONS. I am sorry if these terms seem harsh but there seem to be some very unrealistic buyers out there - fortunately, only few of these people exist but those that do can make life difficult, so it appears EVERYTHING needs to spelled out. Very simply put, this is an old car being offered for sale. It is not new and is subject to the perils of age. Further, Jaguars are not without nuances, idiosyncrasies and they are renown for a host of design issues which can make them not inexpensive to maintain. So, please respect the terms and conditions when you bid. ~~oo00oo~~

The Porsche Panamera brings sports car performance and nontraditional styling to the full-size premium luxury sedan class. The Panamera is offered in six versions, the rear-wheel drive 2 and S, and the all-wheel drive 4, 4S, Turbo and Turbo S. The 2 and 4 models come with a direct injection 3.6-liter V6 300-hp engine while the 4, 4S and Turbo feature the larger 4.8-liter V-8; the S and 4S models making 400-hp, the Turbo adds twin-turbocharging for 500-hp, and the Turbo S bumps that up to 550. The Porsche PDK double-clutch gearbox is the only transmission choice, and all models are equipped an auto start-stop feature for increased urban fuel economy. The body appears to be a four-door sedan but with a coupe-like profile and a power liftgate, rather than a typical trunk, for access to the spacious luggage area. Standard safety features include ten airbags, bi-xenon adaptive headlights with LED daytime running lights, rain sensing wipers, full LED rear lighting, four belt pretensioners and electronic traction and stability control. A small sample of optional tech features includes a 6-disc CD changer, Bose surround sound, Burmester surround sound, front and rear ParkAssist, an electronic logbook and voice control. For 2012 the Panamera has added a Turbo S model that includes 50 more horsepower and standard 20-inch wheels. Source: Model Reviews Introduction The Porsche Panamera is one of the world's best large sports sedans. It has the luxury, space and performance to make it a great alternative to the Mercedes-Benz S-Class, BMW 7 Series, Audi A8, and is as distinctive as the Aston Martin Rapide and Maserati Quattroporte. Now in its third model year, the 2012 Porsche Panamera is available in a head-spinning seven variants, with thousands of optional configurations. New for 2012 is the Panamera Turbo S, powered by a turbocharged, 4.8-liter V8 engine that cranks out a whopping 550 horsepower and 553 pound-feet of torque. Those 50 extra horses come at a premium, however, with the Turbo S starting at nearly $37k higher than the regular Panamera Turbo. Also new for 2012 is the Panamera S Hybrid, powered by a 3.0-liter V6 paired with an electric motor. The latter is capable of making up to 333 hp on its own, with max horsepower of 380 hp in full hybrid mode using both gas and electric motors. The electric motor helps the Panamera S Hybrid achieve plenty of low-end thrust, with its peak 428 pound-feet available at just 1000 rpm. EPA estimated fuel economy is fair, at 22/30 mpg City/Highway, or a 25 mpg Combined rating. Yet another variant, the 2013 Panamera GTS, is launching later in 2012 as a 2013 model, with a refreshed exterior and a starting price of $111,000. Panamera's exterior design is based on roominess and space efficiency while attempting to maintain Porsche styling heritage. The look seems to be a love-hate proposition, with haters ahead slightly and very little middle ground. We think it looks ungainly from the rear three-quarter view. But park a Panamera among its competition from BMW, Mercedes and Audi, and it's the Porsche that stands out, the one that you want to get in and drive. In any case, those who can embrace the styling will be rewarded with a truly substantial, satisfying automobile. The Panamera is only slightly smaller than the BMW 7 Series, and it delivers the sporting performance of a world-class sports sedan with the comfortable ride and refinement of a luxo-cruiser. Those extremes required a lot of careful engineering. Porsche builds the body from lightweight materials and puts the engine low and as far back as possible. The Panamera's standard adjustable suspension can change the ride from soft but stable to race track-ready. All Panamera models are fast, as is expected from Porsche. The V6 hits 60 mph in as little as 5.6 seconds, while the V8-powered Panamera S models pull of 0-60 mpg in 5.0 seconds. The Panamera Turbo cuts that time to a sports-car bashing 3.6 seconds, with little if any turbo lag and a rush of power that pins you back in your seat. Don't think for a moment you're giving up cabin space by choosing a Porsche. The Panamera is truly roomy, with back-seat headroom, legroom and hip room that rival that of a Mercedes S-Class sedan. A standard full-length center console divides the Panamera into four distinct and comfortable seating positions. The feel from the driver's seat is much like that in Porsche's iconic 911, only slightly higher off the ground. All of the seats are supportive without being too firm or too deeply bolstered. The space inside still surprises us. The rear seat has enough head room for an NBA point guard and plenty of leg room, too. The hatchback design makes the Panamera useful as a family vehicle. With the rear seats up, the rear cargo area is as roomy as the trunk in a mid-size sedan. With the seats down, the Panamera has more cargo room than a luxury wagon, with easy access to a fairly expansive load floor. The Porsche Panamera doesn't come cheap, and as it is with any Porsche, options can add 50 percent or more to the model price. Yet on another level, given its impact and relative performance, the base Panamera V6 might be considered a deal. Source: New Car Test Drive Walkaround The appearance of the Porsche Panamera is polarizing. Critics who praise the car for its performance, space and comfort consider the styling a weak spot. Some are fond of the look, if only in ugly-duckling fashion. Some cannot abide it at all and seem to get angry just talking about it. We think it's attractive from head on but looks ungainly from most angles. Its ungainliness at least has plus side: interior space and space efficiency. The Panamera is a substantial car. Exterior dimensions such as length, width and wheelbase surpass those of mid-size luxury sedans such as the Audi A6, BMW 5 series and Mercedes E-Class, and come within a few inches of full-size models such as the Audi A8 and BMW 7 Series. Yet the Panamera body shell is built from a cocktail of lightweight materials that includes boron steel, aluminum, magnesium and high-tech composites. Hidden parts such as axles and some suspension components are aluminum. As a result, with a minimum curb weight of just 3880, the Panamera is lighter than those smaller, mid-size competitors, and nearly 1000 pounds lighter than the full-size competitors. This is important, because the lower weight contributes to the Panamera's relatively high fuel-economy ratings and sports-car-like handling feel. Benefitting from its racing experience, Porsche pays particular attention to airflow around the body. The Panamera is the first luxury four-door with a full underbody shield, even covering the driveshaft and mufflers. This reduces both wind resistance and lift. The radar sensor for the available active cruise control is positioned to minimize the disruption of airflow, though it degrades the appearance of the front end (unacceptably to some). A cleverly hidden active rear spoiler rests under a chrome trim strip and pops up at speed to increase rear downforce. Panamera's shape flows from two key factors: packaging, and heritage. Porsche wanted a four-door that looks like a Porsche, and that meant elements of the iconic 911 sports car. These influences include the signature shoulders or haunches around the rear wheels, a hood that sits lower than the front fenders, and a front end with no conventional grille above the bumper. Given its role as true four-passenger automobile, the Panamera also needed the rear seat space of a sedan and the cargo utility of wagon. These crucial parameters led to a rounded four-door hatchback design instead of a traditional three-box sedan. The hatchback allows for generous rear headroom, cargo utility and a sporty coupe-style profile. The hatch style creates unconventional proportions, and a car that looks awkward from some angles. The length added by the rear doors and the high rear roofline seems to stretch the car too far. Gaze at the Panamera and there's a strong urge to chop about 18 inches out of the roof and sharpen the roof's slope to the rear. But if Porsche did that, the Panamera would look a lot like a front-engine 911. The four-door's bulbous rear end reminds us of the old 928. The net effect is ungainly. If the design isn't elegant, it nonetheless creates a presence in traffic. That large rear end stands out. And from the front, the Panamera attracts lots of attention when it creeps through a parking lot or pulls up to a restaurant. It stands out when parked among other big luxury sedans. The models can be distinguished by subtle trim details and wheels. The Panamera V6 is distinguished by matte black trim surrounding its side windows, which is chrome on V8 models. The V6's exhaust tips are oval, with a single outlet on each side, rather than the two pair of round tips found on V8s. The V6 comes standard with unique, five-spoke 18-inch wheels. Source: New Car Test Drive Driving Impression Any Panamera is enjoyable to drive, and all are easy to drive. The V6-powered Porsche Panamera lacks nothing, and achieves decent fuel economy. It's a truly efficient, luxurious four-passenger car with Porsche DNA. The Panamera Turbo delivers truly breathtaking performance that's almost too easy to control. The V8-powered Panamera S feels lighter and livelier than the Turbo, and can be even more entertaining on winding roads. All feel as if they're milled from one giant block of billet aluminum. That's due to the car's advanced engineering and extensive use of aluminum, magnesium and composites in the body structure. The base Panamera is powered by a 3.6-liter V6, which is essentially the 4.8-liter V8 in the Panamera S with two cylinders removed. The cylinder V is angled at 90 degrees, and the six-cylinder features a balance shaft to smooth its operation. It also delivers the latest in control and materials technology, with high-pressure direct fuel injection, infinitely variable valve timing and variable valve lift. It has an auto start/stop feature to save fuel by seamlessly shutting down and restarting at red lights. It uses a dry sump oiling system rather than a standard oil pan, so it can sit low in the chassis for a sports-car center of gravity. It delivers peak output of 300 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque, but weighs just 404 pounds with the transmission attached, according to Porsche. We discovered there's plenty of go in the Panamera V6, probably as much as anyone ever needs on the road. That power comes smooth and strong no matter the road speed, and the 7-speed transmission always seems to pick the right gear in full automatic mode. Porsche's PDK gearbox is actually a clutch-operated manual that shifts itself. It's the best dual-clutch transmission going, and one of the smoothest. It works fabulously as an automatic if left in Drive, but it still gives the Panamera more of a performance bent than the typical luxury car. It's not quite as smooth as a conventional torque-converter automatic. You'll notice this most on moderate, coast-down stops, when the PDK lurches ever so slightly as it downshifts. With the V6 engine, the Panamera can scoot from 0 to 60 mph in as little as 5.8 seconds, according to Porsche, with a top speed of 160 mph. The all-wheel drive version is even quicker (5.6 seconds to 60), despite its greater weight, thanks to an even better distribution of traction. Yet the V6 Panamera still delivers 18 mpg city, 27 highway, according to the EPA, or 18/26 mpg with all-wheel drive. We matched those numbers during a 400-mile run at 75 mph. The combination of acceleration, exhilaration and fuel economy from the V6 is genuinely impressive for a car this large, and speaks to its engineering depth. From here, the Panamera gets even faster. The 4.8-liter V8 in the Panamera S and Panamera 4S models bumps horsepower to 450 hp, with the same willing response across its rev range as the V6. Acceleration starts with a burst and remains strong for passing punch, and the 0-60 time drops to 4.8 seconds while top speed increases to 175. We actually found the Panamera S more fun to drive on the race track than the Turbo. Significantly lighter, the rear-wheel-drive S felt more agile and nimble, more tossable, more enjoyable. On the race track, the Turbo felt bigger and heavier by comparison, though it posted quicker lap times due to its superior acceleration performance. In short, we give the big thumbs up to the S model. It is the sweet spot in terms of sensible performance. The 4S falls in between the two in terms of that feeling of agility, still feeling more agile than the Turbo but not as agile as the S. The 500-hp turbocharged V8 in the Panamera Turbo is brutally quick, knocking the 0-60 time down to 3.6 seconds. Kick the throttle and the acceleration knocks you back in your seat, not letting up until you do, or at 188 mph, whichever comes first. Thanks to the standard direct injection, turbo lag is minimal, if at all existent. Sure, the Turbo is overkill, but it sure is fun. And thanks to Porsche's overall efficiency, not even the Turbo is brutally anti-social. With auto start/stop, the efficiency of the dual-clutch PDK transmission and Panamera's comparatively svelte weight, no model carries a gas-guzzler tax (a familiar feature in this league). The Panamera S delivers 16/24 mpg City/Highway, while the Turbo is rated 15/23 mpg. Even beyond the engine bay, the Panamera drips high technology. All models feature a Sport button, while those with the optional Sport Chrono Package add Sport Plus. This feature allows the driver to tailor a host of controls, including suspension firmness, transmission shift points and the aggressiveness of the throttle, over a range from maximum comfort and economy to maximum performance. The optional adaptive cruise control almost literally drives the car, using both the gas and brakes to maintain a specified gap to cars ahead, down to 20 mph. All Panameras come with adjustable suspension. The V6 and S and have electronically variable shock absorbers and conventional steel coil springs, while the Turbo adds air springs (optional on other models). The air suspension is self leveling, and it also varies spring rates. It can lower the car one inch for better handling or raise it an inch to help the front-end clear abrupt driveway transitions and other hazards. Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC) with active anti-roll bars is also available. To counteract body lean in turns, the system twists the roll bars to make them firmer. It can also disconnect the roll bars to improve straight-line comfort on bumpy roads. These systems can transform the Panamera from firm and extra precise to smooth and refined with the touch of a couple of buttons, or they can be left to work on their own by measuring the driver's intent, based on use of the gas, brakes and steering. The variable suspension lets the Panamera drive like a luxury car or a race track-ready sports sedan. We know, we've experienced this, and it's an impressive feat. This four-door always feels smaller than its considerable size. Many adjustable suspensions are either too soft or too firm, but that's not the case with the Panamera. The base suspension delivers a smooth but controlled (dare we say excellent) ride in the softest mode. The Sport setting makes the car react more quickly, with less side-to-side sway, without ruining the ride. Same with the steering. The Panamera's is not quite Porsche 911 pure, but it's impressive for a big four-door, even with the all-wheel-drive. It gives the car a very nimble, responsive feel, and it always lets the driver know how the car is gripping with feedback from the tires back through the steering wheel. The steering reacts immediately to anything more than a twitch on the wheel, but it's not twitchy. It grips everything, particularly with the performance tires on the largest available rims. That's the payback, in the luxury sense, for everyday driving. With the summer-duty performance tires on 20-inch rims, the Panamera's steering grabs at every little nook and cranny in the pavement. While that might be appropriate for a four-door Porsche, it's not necessarily familiar luxury style. The high-performance tires effect ride quality as well. Their short, stiff sidewalls hit little seams and pavement edges hard, and while the suspension comfortably absorbs bumps, the tires crack and deliver a little shock, sometimes with a corresponding, audible chunk. Buyer beware: Actually drive a Panamera with the big rims and high-performance tires before choosing them over the standard all-season packages. We prefer the 18- and 19-inch wheels. We had the opportunity to test the Panamera's potential on the 14-turn, 4.1-mile Road America road course in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin. Though large, the Panamera was at home on this long racetrack, with quick steering and a relatively flat attitude through turns (especially with PDCC). The Panamera's willingness to change direction and respond to driver inputs puts it in a league with the world's best sports sedans (such as the BMW M5), and even some of the better pure sports cars. The PDK transmission shines on the track as well. It's almost race-ready when the driver chooses the Sport or Sport Plus modes, which hold gears longer to keep power more readily available. Those who want to shift manually can tap the steering wheel buttons in any mode, but in Sport Plus we found that the PDK automatically chose the appropriate gear for track driving 95 percent of the time. Road America has a lot of long straights, and the Panamera's standard brakes weren't entirely up to that challenge of repeated, hard braking from very high speeds (for many sessions). In some cases (with some drivers), there was a pulsation that may have indicated warped rotors. On the road, the brakes are perfectly capable. Buyers who plan to regularly participate in track days should consider the expensive but impressive composite ceramic brakes. It's not surprising given they have to slow 4,000 pounds of Porsche. Experienced drivers may also be able to reduce brake fade on a track by braking harder but for shorter duration. Source: New Car Test Drive Interior The Panamera has a lovely cabin, luxurious and well executed. Fit and finish are excellent in all Panamera models. While its luxurious, almost bespoke quality can match some of the richest sedans in the world, the Panamera retains the sporting, playful ambience that has identified Porsche cockpits for decades. Interior materials in the Panamera are top-notch, with supple, soft-touch surfaces, and several upgrades are available. Panamera V6 and Panamera S models come standard with three partial-leather upholstery choices, while the Turbo gets full-leather upholstery in five color choices or four two-tone combinations. Interior trim is available in carbon, aluminum, or five real-wood options. The V6 we tested had black lacquered wood, and it was striking. The full-leather option adds rich, heavily stitched leather to the dashboard and doors. An alcantara roofliner is available and extra leather is available on just about everything, including the rearview mirror, steering column and air vents. It's all very handsome. The driver's position is low for the typical luxury sedan, and similar to that in the 911 sports car. The standard seats may be the best there are. They're not fancy, in terms of a million adjustments, but it's easy to get them right, and they deliver a fabulous combination of support, grip and long-range comfort. Power seats are standard, while 14-way adjustment comes in the Panamera Turbo, and 18-way sport seats are available. The biggest problem inside the Panamera, perhaps the only potential deal breaker, is rearward visibility. The side mirrors are triangular shaped and don't offer very broad scope. It takes awhile to get comfortable with them, especially for drivers who rely heavily on the side mirrors in traffic. The rearview mirror isn't any better. The rear glass may seem large, but its angle makes it look like a slot through the rearview mirror. Looking over the shoulders backing up, the fat rear pillars block large arcs of the surroundings. The obstacle warning system helps, but what you'll see is a pictograph of potential obstacles on the dash, rather than the obstacles themselves. The rearview camera is optional and we recommend getting it. It should be standard. It makes backing up safer because it's easier to spot a child. On a practical basis, it makes parking quicker and less stressful because the driver can see just how far back the bumper to that other car is or spot posts or holes you may want to avoid. The Panamera V6 has a manual tilt-telescope steering column. It works well enough, but like that back-up camera, the power tilt-telescope should come standard in this league. The steering wheel itself is fantastic: thick and wrapped in tactilely pleasing leather, with just a tiny bit of give when you squeeze. A button behind the bottom spoke heats the wheel independently of the seats. The manual shift buttons on the wheel work one way, with upshifts on one side and downshifts on the other. There are five gauges in the instrument binnacle, all large and easy to see. The tachometer sits front and center, black numbers on white background, with a gear indicator and big digital speed readout at the bottom. That's good, because the radial speedometer is marked in hard-to-read 25-mph increments. It sits to the left of the slightly larger tach, while a multi-function display sits to the right. Both of these contrast with the tach, using black backgrounds and white characters. The multi-function display shows a range of data chosen by the driver, from trip information to vehicle systems to navigation directions. Two smaller gauges at the edges complete the package: fuel level and coolant temperature on the right, and oil pressure and temperature on the left. Some important switches are spread around the steering column. Turn signals are conventionally operated with the left side stalk, while the lights are operated with a radial switch on the dash, next to Porsche's unconventional left-side ignition switch. Wipers are controlled with the right-side stalk. Cruise control functions fill a third stalk, to the lower left, making room for redundant audio and phone controls and trip-computer buttons on the steering-wheel spokes. Stalk-mounted cruise control isn't optimal, but Porsche's system works a lot better than that used by Mercedes-Benz, which tends to get in the way of simple turn-signal operation. The Panamera's window switches are perfectly placed in the driver's armrest, right at the fingertips when the left forearm is resting. The reading lights, sunroof switch and obstacle-warning control are collected in the headliner above the rear-view mirror. The main barrage of switches, of course, are clustered in a center pod that flows up from the Panamera's console and around a seven-inch, touch-screen video/navigation monitor. There are upwards of 32 buttons on the dash and console, with another 18 buttons surrounding the screen. Porsche has opted for a button for every possible command rather than a centralized controller along the lines of BMW's iDrive. At first the array is a bit daunting, but operation gets simpler fairly quickly with familiarity. The buttons are logically grouped by function and easy to reach. A central controller might look more elegant but they tend to be harder to learn, and far more distracting while driving. On the down side, the Panamera's standard navigation system can be hard to figure out. Audio systems begin with a single CD, 11 speakers and 235 watts of power, and we found it quite good. The optional Bose surround sound system, with 14 speakers and 585 watts, is loud and clear. It matches anything in most luxury cars. The 16-speaker, 1000-watt Burmester surround sound is as clear as any auto stereo we've heard, and we've heard some good ones. Storage up front includes a pair of cupholders in the console that can hold change, keys and other items when they're not occupied by drinks. There's also a shallow center-console box, a fairly large glovebox, and good-sized door pockets that are lined with fabric to eliminate the annoying sound of sliding glasses or CD cases. More than storage, what jumps out is the way the full-length center console creates four distinct seating pods, each with all the room and comfort the vast majority of passengers will ever need. This is one sports sedan that doesn't compromise rear seat room. The rear seats are essentially buckets like those in front. The rear seats don't adjust in the V6 or S, but they're still comfortable and grippy, with backs reclined at a comfortable angle. Adjustable rear seats are optional on all models. And there's a lot of room. We found that a 5-foot, 8-inch rear passenger could stretch legs fully behind a 5-foot, 8-inch driver, with feet tucked under the front seat. Rear-seat headroom is even more impressive, accommodating occupants well over 6 feet tall. The copious space would make the Panamera a fine chauffer-driven vehicle, though giving up the driver's seat wouldn't be easy. In standard trim, the rear is nicely finished, with four reasonably sized air vents that can be adjusted or closed completely. Rear seat heaters and four-zone climate control are optional. There's almost as much storage in back as in front: two cup holders in the center console and a shallow bin in the folding armrest, with small, lined pockets on the doors and map pouches on the back of the front seats. Cargo space is impressive, too. With the rear seats up, there is 15.6 cubic feet of space behind them, or about as much as the typical mid-size sedan's trunk. Four suitcases fit easily in the Panamera, and access is easy thanks to the hatchback. A shade-type, pull-out cargo cover is optional, but the standard lift-up cover works better. It attaches with cables to the liftgate, and opens when the standard power gate rises. It's also easy to remove, but then the driver has to find some place to store that big panel. Switching the Panamera to max cargo mode is a matter on pressing one button on each of the seatbacks. The seatbacks drop one at a time, creating a nearly flat load floor with tie downs, and a maximum 44.2 cubic feet of cargo volume that you can reach from the rear or through the side doors. That's more than what's available in mid-sized luxury wagons such as the BMW 5 Series or Audi S6. Source: New Car Test Drive Summary The Porsche Panamera is a viable choice among the big four-door luxury sedans. It can carry four adults in supreme comfort and qualifies as a no-compromise luxury sedan. All Panameras perform well on the street and the track. We think it's one of the world's best luxury sports sedans. New Car Test Drive correspondents Kirk Bell, Mitch McCullough, J.P Vettraino and Laura Burstein contributed to this report. You put it on a diet, check the option box beside L72 and bolt up a tough Muncie 4-speed! When it comes to performance, durability and sheer intimidation, nothing beats a good old GM workhorse. And, thanks to their simplicity and heavy duty hardware, cars like the Chevrolet Biscayne are ideal foundations for killer sleepers with monstrous horsepower. This sleek sedan, 1 of 183 L72-powered 'Bisquicks' produced for the 1966 model year and 1 of only 11 believed to still exist, is the literal embodiment of brute force. Amenities like manual steering and a tough F41 suspension make it the perfect car for authentic driving experiences, while classic lines, a simple interior and miles of smooth lacquer are sure to wow the purists. Looking for an award-winning investment that's road ready, show-ready and just plain battle-ready? This fully-sorted Chevy has it all! Simple, sinister and accurate. That's how we'd describe this exclusive Biscayne. And, not surprisingly, that's exactly what the car's VIN, cowl tag and original window sticker have to say as well. So, on Thursday, May 12th, he headed to Larson Chevrolet to trade almost even for this beastly Chevy Biscayne. John thought, rightfully so, that Chevrolet's L72 427 could be a lot of fun in the blue collar brand's most blue collar offering, and he spent much of the next year enjoying his new toy at local drag strips. In June of 1967, when John headed to Vietnam to defend our freedom, the Biscayne found its second owner in 20 year old Leroy Levens. Still wet behind the ears, Levens threw a few go fast pieces on the car and promptly blew its original engine. Luckily, a service replacement block was located and Levens, honing his racing skills on both the road and track, eventually blistered the strip with a best time of 12.69 @ 106MPH. As the years passed, Levens continued to back the car out of the garage for sunny day joyrides and, eventually, coordinated a frame-off restoration which included a roster of NOS components. In 1986, sporting fresh Tuxedo Black lacquer, the Bisquick caught the eye of New Jersey resident Joseph Fasano. And, after 24 months of negotiations, Fasano purchased the car and promptly detailed it to factory-correct guise using many dated components. The next 25 years included a lot of time on the trailer, many award-winning appearances at Super Chevy shows and a couple hundred miles of careful road time. And, circa 2013, the car was purchased by its current, Ohio-based owner who spent $7,000 and 300 hours freshening its original sheetmetal and smooth lacquer paint. With a wet-look finish and subtle branding, this Biscayne is an intentionally low-key take on the fundamentals of every hard-edged muscle car: tough looks, sturdy components, reduced weight and tons of power! At the front of the car, a broad stainless grille hangs a bright Chevrolet crest and small AACA plaque between a two-tone bumper, four T3 headlights and clear parking lamps. At the sides of that grille, mandatory door handles and a bowtie-branded mirror complement the natural simplicity of NOS ornamentation. At the tops of those handles, straight stainless trim highlights correctly-dated glass. And at the back of the car, 'plain Jane' tail lamps float between a broad chrome bumper, a second Chevrolet crest and an off-set "Chevrolet" script. Pop this sedan's wide hood and you'll find a fully detailed, date-correct 427 which is branded with a familiar 3869942 casting number. Introduced as the ultimate option for street-prowling bowties, Chevrolet's storied L72 big block spins stout 11 to 1 compression into an as advertised 425 horsepower. At the top of the all-business mill, an NOS dual-snorkel air cleaner funnels wind through a correct Holley 3246 carburetor. That carb rides on a correct Winters intake, which hangs between correct, cast iron heads that benefit from 3-angle valve jobs. Those heads sit on a .030-bored block that's fitted with stock pistons and a correct L72 solid lifter cam. At the back of that cam, correct but deactivated transistor ignition shoots spark through date-coded Packard TV R Suppression cables. Below those cables, correct exhaust manifolds jettison baked Sinclair into a big, true-dual exhaust system. In front of those manifolds, GM-coded belts spin a correct alternator above an NOS fan clutch and idler pulley. And, at the front of the engine, an original, L72 Biscayne-exclusive radiator is fitted with a correct shroud, a correct finger guard, GM-branded hoses and old school tower clamps. Bright Chevy Orange paint coats the block and, as always, looks great against a fully finished hood and glossy inner fenders. Correct decals are present and accounted for. And niceties such as stainless fuel lines, a Delco-branded coil and a high quality Delco battery topper ensure the car looks just as good as it runs. Park this Biscayne on a lift and you'll find a solid undercarriage that's been no stranger to mirrors and occasional flash bulbs. Straight floorpans, restored in the same Satin Black livery that details the car's engine bay, ride on a sturdy black frame. An era-correct Muncie feeds a familiar GM 12-bolt, which spins a posi-traction differential around big, 4.56 gears. Under that capable drivetrain, a completely rebuilt F41 sports suspension is equipped with manual steering and 4-wheel drum brakes. At the center of the floors, an aluminized, true-dual exhaust system utilizes throaty turbo mufflers to weave an aggressive, full-throttle rumble into a subdued and classy idle. At the corners of the suspension, great looking G78-14 Goodyear Power Streak IIs frame painted steelies and red-detailed hub caps. And everything, from this Chevy's NOS shocks to its leak-free fuel tank, is fully restored and ready to hit the pavement. Decked in correct red hides, this sedan's stunning interior has been returned to factory-fresh condition in virtually every way. The wide bench seats feel newer than their NOS covers suggest, and present just as well now as the day they rolled out of the dealership. At the base of those seats, like-new carpet is protected by thick, color-keyed floor mats. At the sides of that carpet, a combination of original and reproduction door panels hang straight stainless trim around simple chrome handles and small, modernist armrests. At the front of those panels, a restored dash, which features a rare, 7,000RPM tachometer, carries what appears to be a correct radio. At the base of that dash, a stylish chrome shifter rows around an NOS boot and baseplate. Opposite that shifter, an original mirror fronts a bright white headliner. In front of the driver, a color-keyed steering wheel spins around a classy blue bowtie. And behind the passengers, a spattered trunk seals a full-size spare tire below clean decklid decals. In the golden era, few muscle cars could hang with Chevrolet's 'taxi cab special'. And today, few collector cars can eclipse its status as one of the baddest street bruisers to ever wear a bowtie. Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow II 1978 A really nice clean original example! Recently fully workshop serviced. Here is a really fine and original example of a Shadow II. Finished in Georgian Silver over Masons black with dark red fine lines to the waist-rail and hubcap beauty rings. The interior has handsome burgundy Connolly hides and black Wilton carpets with seat matching burgundy piping. The same theme carries through to the boot. This is an unmolested example that has been nicely maintained and presents in very good condition. It is primarily all original with no modifications except for the installation of a later model Blaupunkt radio cassette to that normally fitted. This was a Californian car that also spent several recent years in San Antonio, Texas so it is a “dry” car that has had a garaged environment. As a result, it has been freed from the perils of harsh weather. In the last few years, it has been collector owner and kept in climate controlled storage in Wisconsin where it has never been used in adverse weather conditions. It has always been well maintained and serviced and comes with its original manual. The Silver Shadow II presented here has been recently fully work-shop inspected with all work needed carried out. Important costly items such as the hydraulics and brakes have been fully serviced including new brake hoses, calipers serviced and system pressure tested and bled. The rear height control works as it should (testament to a well serviced example as many are often disconnected). It is ready to drive and enjoy. The odometer shows a low 75,000 and although this is not verifiable the mileage is commensurate with the condition (particularly when you look at the condition of the leather, carpets, brake pedal etc). It is very quiet and smooth on the road without any of the typical “thumps” and “rattles” typical of poor (or even averagely) maintained examples of this model. The interior looks close to perfect. It is finished in rich burgundy which was often referred to by UK-based Rolls-Royce dealers as "House of Lords red" (after the English parliamentary house which famously uses this rich burgundy leather). The leather is in absolutely outstanding original condition with no cracks, tears nor fading and very supple and soft – true to its Connolly characteristics. The leather really has been lovingly preserved. The burr walnut wood on the dash is original and in good condition. The wood on the door cappings were redone to “factory standard” by leading wood re-finisher; JC Wood. It was only redone because of a number of seatbelt chips in the 2 front door woods which detracted from the overall high standard of the interior (This is a typical problem where the seat belt buckle hits the door capping resulting in unsightly chips in the lacquer). The head lining is original and in good condition. The original black Wilton wool carpets with burgundy leather binding are in fantastic condition. Likewise is the black finishes to the dash and top-roll. The boot (trunk) carpet with the same black and burgundy binding theme is also in excellent condition. The body on this Shadow II is straight and the paint is shiny and lustrous. The car was repainted some 5 years ago and was a quality job. They are the original colours and the finish is consistent. When you look down the sides of the car, they are very straight and true. Having had a quality repaint, the body shows virtually no signs of the typical Rolls-Royce weak spots such as cracking at the base of the “A” and “B” pillar - ALL original Rolls-Royce and Bentley Motor Cars from this era suffered this effect, where the infamous “lead wiping technique” was employed (lead was used to join panels instead of bondo and, given the characteristics of lead vs. steel, the lead would expand and contract at a different rate causing the paint surface to crack over time). There are some minor chips and nicks as to be expected but certainly nothing unsightly. From a driver/enthusiast point of view, the imperfections are quite acceptable and do not detract from the cars overall appearance. It is certainly shiny and crisp. The white-wall tyres are near new (still sporting the “knobblies” of a new tyre) and the hubcaps are excellent with no major imperfections in the stainless or painted trim rings. The pin-striping on the beauty rings are finished in the original hand-painted technique. All remaining bright-work is in good condition as is glass, electrics and instruments. All electrics have been checked right down to the smallest and insignificant dash and courtesy light. Under the bonnet, the presentation is amazing. It has not been precision detailed but simply kept clean and tidy throughout its life. You must take the time to look at the photos of the engine bay as its presentation is like that of only a 5 year old example. Simply stunning! The car has its original jack (still wrapped in its factory wax paper so never used) and correct tools and operating manual. The car is of very high standard and is an easy 8 ½ out of 10 rating. ~~ This stately Shadow II is an excellent condition representation of the marque that is ready to be driven and enjoyed. It makes for an excellent top condition tourer for either everyday driving or sunny weekend enjoyment! ~~ Interesting information on the Silver Shadow II series The “II” mark provided considerable improvement over the earlier Silver Shadow. In 1977, the model was renamed the Silver Shadow II in recognition of several major changes, most notably rack and pinion steering, modifications to the front suspension which improved handling markedly, a dual exhaust along with the first-to-market fully automatic dual system air-conditioning system and a modernised and improved dash lay-out. The model represents the pinnacle in design features for the Silver Shadow series that started production in 1966. For extra photos on this fine example go to the link below. The photos are of super high resolution so if you right click on any, you can zoom in and see every little detail and defect in considerable detail. Click HERE to see additional photos! For those who are new to my adverts and/or the marque, please note that as a serious collector of some 30 years, all my cars are truly described examples. I have my own private Rolls-Royce workshop (not open to the public but dedicated to my own cars and fellow RR enthusiasts) with trained Rolls-Royce craftsmen who are proficient in all aspects. As a team, we are dedicated to the preservation of the marque and as such, any car that leaves the stable is completely inspected and work-shopped to ensure mechanical and operational items are maintained appropriately. We adopt a “keep it original” mentality with pride and confidence, offering after sales technical support and assistance well beyond the sale. Because most of my cars are offered for the pleasures of driving enjoyment it is not always possible or practical to seek perfection (in the true sense of the word) but we do always uphold excellence in whatever we do. Our cars are by no means cheap priced cars but we like to think they are amongst the best. To this end, I firmly believe in the famous adage; “Quality is remembered long after the price is forgotten.” We hope you do too.” * PLEASE read auction terms & conditions below BEFORE bidding ** This Rolls-Royce is part of a private collection. Although licensed and bonded, I am not a main-stream retail car dealer or broker; I am a professional car collector of some 30 years with considerable experience and knowledge of Rolls-Royce and Bentley Motor Cars. I have a long standing reputation being associated with the marque which I take seriously. I cannot accept PayPal for the balance. The winning bidder must contact me within 24 hours of auction end, and make arrangements for payment at that time. If no contact is made within 24 hours and especially if you do not reply to our message(s) thru eBay within that time, I reserve the right to re-list the vehicle, sell it to the next high bidder, or sell it otherwise. Most banks and credit unions do not finance vehicles older than 2002 or with more than 100K miles. Make sure if your purchase is going to be financed, that your lender accepts the year and miles of this vehicle before bidding. Simply put, please arrange financing prior to bidding. I am happy to assist with shipping arrangements on a national and worldwide basis but the winning bidder takes full responsibility for pickup and/or shipping and at his cost. As a collector and experienced restorer of the marque, I make every effort to bring my cars to a high standard. By comparison, my cars are generally superior to others available but they are by no means perfect. You must expect some issues. Unless specifically stated, the car is not of show standard but of nice "driver" condition. Please understand, show cars of this model cost hundreds of thousands of dollars to achieve and sell for prices commensurate, so the sale price of this car reflects its relative condition. You are buying "condition" accordingly. Buyers should not expect to receive concours quality or "perfect" cars at these prices. Please also understand, the very nature of these classic Rolls-Royces is such that it is not always possible to attend to every item, or perhaps I may have inadvertently overlooked items. Further, and very importantly, these cars are classic cars also because they are old. Please note, fitted radio/stereo systems are usually subject to upgrade by purchasers so I do not ensure operation of these. Similarly, cruise control systems fitted to these classics were of an inferior design and I do not check or warrant the operation of these. After all, it is some 42 years old. This is the nature of any classic car and especially a Rolls-Royce which was very "complicated" for its era. Also, you must remember that this is a classic +/-34 year old vehicle, and while it is up to you, I do not recommend that you just “hop in and drive it across the country”until you have familiarised yourself with the car. Further, Rolls-Royces are not without nuances, idiosyncrasies and they are renown for a host of design issues which can make them not inexpensive to maintain. This is well documented in many circles. You need to be a special and considerate type of purchaser to own a Rolls-Royce. Their down-side is part of the fun in owning them! As the old saying goes; "we love to hate them and hate to love them!" So, please respect the terms and conditions when you bid. ~~oo00oo~~ ~~ **Please note: This Rolls-Royce is part of the collection of a dear friend of mine. As a professional collector and experienced restorer, I have my own Rolls-Royce dedicated workshop with qualified craftsmen on hand; The Park-Ward Motor Museum. As a passionate collector of the marque I take great pride and pleasure in passing on any of these great cars to its next owner (“caretaker”). In so doing, once this Rolls-Royce is sold, I will put the car thru my workshop to ensure that it is mechanically sound and all major features and functions are operating as described even though the car is contractually being sold "as-is". Certain items such as final electrical tests and hydraulic pressure checks are usually left for this stage as these are considered "commissioning procedures". In this case, this will include the air conditioning system of this car. This and considerable other work will be performed after the sale and before delivery. This is all done at NO CHARGE. Who else selling a Rolls-Royce on eBay does this?! Depending on our work load, please allow approximately 7-10 business days for this procedure. For more information on the Park-Ward Motor Museum and our skills, please eBay message me and I would be happy to show you some 100 Rolls-Royces restored to varying levels over the last few years ~~ VALUES: Rolls-Royce values vary wildly, entirely dependent on their condition. There are, of course, other aspects that add or subtract from their values – Long Wheel Base versus regular, the year which dictated certain technical changes, etc. The colour alone, for example can make a big difference. So for the benefit of new-comers to the marque please see the approximate guide to values based on a particular model below. Please remember, these are “plus-or-minus” figures: Year: 1977-1980 Make: Rolls-Royce Model: Silver Shadow II Show car: $45,000+ Exceptional: $35-40,000 Excellent: $25-35,000 Good: $18-25,000 Average: $12-18,000 Fair: $6-12,000 Basket case: < $6,000 Hopefully this will provide a reference point for the Rolls-Royce being featured in this listing as it compares to the range of different condition examples. Please note, a very poor condition example that is tired and not maintained can easily demand some $30,000 in restoration to make it a "nice" example but remember, it will be no longer original. So don't be fooled by "cheap buys". For any specific questions about this unique example of a Rolls-Royce, please do not hesitate to contact me. According to the London based investment research firm; Historic Automobile Group International, classic cars have appreciated on average, 13% per year since 1980, whilst overall stock values averaged an 11% gain over the same period. The following graph charts the value of collectible cars vs. the S&P500. "RRMOTORSINC": Qualified & experienced in Rolls-Royce and Bentley motor cars world-wide for more than 30 years

[email protected] 5527 Lakeview Road, Charlotte, NC, 28269, US 1962 Chevrolet Bel Air Restored Bel Air Bubble Top 409 Dual Quad V8 4 Speed Year: 1962 Type of vehicle title: Clear Primary color: Black Mileage: 99437 Transmission type: 4 Speed Manual Engine: 409 V8 Interior color: Blue Vehicle info In 1962 the Beach Boys paid tribute to a legendary Chevrolet powerplant when they released the song "409". During "409" they talk about taking her to the track where she really shines and always turns in the fastest times. This 1962 Bel Air 'bubble top' could have easily been the car the Beach Boys were referencing. Completely restored, equipped with a 409 horsepower/409 cubic inch big block and sporting an Aqua bench seat interior, this Chevy is ready to start winning awards! This gorgeous full-size is the beneficiary of a professional restoration that stands today as a pristine example of how incredible a 60s-era Chevy can be. Before we get too far into the car's description, let's decode the VIN. VIN: 21537JXXXXXX2: 1962 model year15: Bel Air 637: 2-door sport coupe (bubble top)J: Built in Janesville, WisconsinXXXXXX: Production sequence number The 1962 Chevrolet Bel Air bubble top was carried over from 1961 even as other full-sized Chevrolets migrated to the convertible-look roof profile. The bubble top Chevy's lighter weight and superior aerodynamics made it a favorite with drag racers who already knew the 409's vast potential. Assembled during the fourth week of October, 1962, this sinister-looking Bel Air bubble top 4-speed has been professionally repainted. Its Tuxedo Black paint complemented with matching station wagon steel wheels, Firehawk blackwall tires and an Aqua bench seat interior. Evocative details abound, from its highly detailed engine compartment and undercarriage to a column-mounted tachometer and below-dash auxiliary gauges. By the late 50s, the rise of the pushrod V8 in production passenger cars made one thing abundantly clear: cubic inches ruled. It was natural then that the factories responded to each other's escalating performance with that very recipe. And at the dawn of the 60s, Chevrolet laid down a historic marker with their big block W-head design. Originally displacing 348 cubic inches, the mill grew to 409 cubic inches in 1961, establishing the archetypal muscle car as one with big block power and, more importantly, creating an American pop culture legend immortalized by the Beach Boys in their hit song "409". This 1962 Chevrolet Bel Air embodies that legend at its most potent: an improved block casting, larger valves, a higher compression ratio, a solid lifter cam and dual Carter AFB 4-barrels that combine to produce a magical 409 horsepower. The car's engine compartment immediately shines thanks in part to silver valve covers and a Satin Black air cleaner. On both sides of the aforementioned carburetors are correct orange cylinder heads. And overall, the detailing involved in this bubble top's restoration is absolutely excellent. Put this Chevy on a lift and you'll see a Satin Black frame that's complemented by Satin Black floorpans. The beefy 409 spins power to a correct rear end thanks to a tough Borg Warner 4-speed. Spent gasses travel down factory manifolds and exit out dual-chamber Flowmaster mufflers to create a nice, vintage rumble. Familiar drum brakes, which can be found at all four corners, are responsible for dampening the massive power. Turns come courtesy of fresh power steering. And, at the corners of the chassis, Firehawk Indy 500 blackwalls circle stainless, Chevrolet-stamped hub caps. Open the doors and you'll reveal a striking Aqua interior that impresses just as much as the rest of the vehicle. Naturally, the pigment is extremely vibrant and, in the middle of that pigment, thick bench seats are in excellent shape and show little to no signs of wear. In front of those seats, an Aqua dash hangs small accessory gauges and a stainless tissue box beneath factory telemetry and gorgeous chrome trim. At the base of that dash, like-new carpet frames a small chrome shifter. At the sides of that carpet, 2-tone door panels hang bright handles and pliable armrests between pristine stainless trim and dent-free Fisher sills. In front of the driver, an Aqua steering wheel spins chrome-trimmed spokes around a beefy, 7,000 RPM tachometer. And behind the passengers, a fully restored trunk hides crisp mats and a full-size tire beneath fresh decklid decals. This 1962 Bel Air bubble top impresses every chance it gets. The car's body is close to flawless. The powerful big block is more than capable of sitting you back in your seat. And the Aqua interior is simply stunning. If you're in the market for a cool, full-size Chevy, you won't find another example as nice as this one. Don't miss your chance to own this sinister Bel Air! VIN: 21537JXXXXXX2: 1962 model year15: Bel Air37: 2-door sport coupe (bubble top)J: Built in Janesville, WisconsinXXXXXX: Production sequence number The 1962 Chevrolet Bel Air bubble top was carried over from 1961 even as other full-sized Chevrolets migrated to the convertible-look roof profile. The 2 and 4 models come with a direct injection 3.6-liter V6 300-hp engine while the 4, 4S and Turbo feature the larger 4.8-liter V-8; the S and 4S models making 400-hp, whereas the Turbo adds twin-turbocharging for 500-hp. For 2011 the Panamera has added V6 models to round out the line-up. Source: NewCarTestDrive.ComIntroductionThe Porsche Panamera has quickly earned credentials as one of the world's best large sports sedans. It has the luxury, space and performance to go toe to toe with cars like the Aston Martin Rapide and Maserati Quattroporte, not to mention more familiar luxury-sport models such as the Audi A8 and BMW 7 Series. Panamera's core engineering values will feel very familiar to longtime Porsche enthusiasts. For the Panamera's second model year, Porsche has introduced the 2011 Panamera V6. Powered by a 300-horspower 3.6-liter six-cylinder engine, with optional all-wheel drive, this new base model might be the most impressive Panamera of all. We can't think of another large luxury sedan that delivers the V6's combination of exhilaration, practicality and impressive fuel economy (18 mpg city, 27 highway, according to the EPA). The Panamera's unique two-box exterior design is based on two objectives: Porsche styling heritage and space efficiency. The look seems to be a love-hate proposition, with haters ahead slightly and very little middle ground. Yet those who can embrace the styling will be rewarded with a truly substantial, satisfying automobile. The new V6 hits 60 mph in as little as 5.6 seconds, despite the impressive mileage. The V8-powered Panamera S models drops the 0-60 time to 5.0 seconds, and raises top speed to 175 mph (from 160). The Panamera Turbo cuts that time to a sports-car bashing 3.6 seconds, with little if any turbo lag and a rush of power that pins you back in your seat. The other thing that surprises is the level of refinement here. This is the most luxurious Porsche ever, well appointed and equipped. Navigation is standard. Leather upholstery is standard, as is the choice of carbon, aluminum or five varieties of wood trim. The fit, finish and quality of the materials rival any competitor. Its cruising manner is impressively smooth. Indeed, the serene cruising demeanor belies the world-class handling and performance available whenever the driver starts pushing harder on the pedals. Porsche reached the production milestone of 25,000 cars just ten months after the Panamera was launched in October 2009. That's a lot of volume for a Porsche, and it may be because the Panamera offers the best of many worlds. It's a fine luxury sedan and one of the best sports sedans anywhere. It's fast. It handles like a dream, carries four in comfort and has plenty of cargo room, and even the Turbo delivers better mileage than other cars of similar capability. The Porsche Panamera doesn't come cheap, and as it is with any Porsche, options can add 50 percent or more to the model price. Yet on another level, given its impact and relative performance, the base Panamera V6 might be considered a deal. Source: NewCarTestDrive.ComWalkaroundThe Porsche Panamera's appearance is polarizing. Many critics who otherwise praise the car for its performance, space and comfort consider the styling a weak spot. Some are fond of the look, if only in ugly-duckling fashion. The V6 Panamera, introduced for 2011, has a few distinguishing features. The trim surrounding its side windows is matte black, as opposed to chrome on the V8 models. The V6's exhaust tips are oval, with a single outlet on each side, rather than two pair of round tips. It also comes standard with unique, five-spoke 18-inch wheels. The four-door Porsche is a substantial car. Thanks to its racing heritage, Porsche pays particular attention to airflow around the body. It also creates rather unconventional proportions, and a car that looks awkward from some angles. The net effect is a bit ungainly. If the design isn't elegant, it nonetheless creates a presence in traffic. That large rear end stands out, and the Panamera attracts lots of attention when it creeps through a parking lot or pulls up to a restaurant. Source: NewCarTestDrive.ComDriving ImpressionAny Panamera is enjoyable to drive, and all are easy to drive. The new-for-2011, V6-powered Porsche Panamera lacks nothing, and it impresses with its fuel economy. We discovered there's plenty of go in the V6 Panamera, probably as much as anyone ever needs on the road. The Panamera S delivers 16 mpg city/24 mpg highway, while the Turbo is rated 15/23 mpg. Source: NewCarTestDrive.ComInteriorThe four-door Panamera might have the most appealing interior in any Porsche so far. It's certainly the most luxurious and best executed. Fit and finish are excellent in all Panamera variants. While its luxurious, almost bespoke quality can match some of the richest sedans in the world, the Panamera retains the sporting, playful ambience that has identified Porsche cockpits for decades. Materials in the base Panamera are top-notch, with supple, soft-touch surfaces, and several upgrades are available. The V6 and S models come standard with three partial leather upholstery choices, while the Turbo gets full-leather upholstery in five color choices or four two-tone combinations. Interior trim is available in carbon, aluminum, or five real-wood options. Our V6 had black lacquered wood, and it was striking. The full-leather option adds rich, heavily stitched leather to the dashboard and doors. Those who really want to personalize their vehicles can opt for an alcantara roofliner (standard on Turbo) or extra leather on just about everything, including the rearview mirror, steering column and air vents. The base power seats upgrade to 14-way adjustment in the Panamera Turbo, while buyers who love fiddling can choose the 18-way sport seats in all models. The biggest problem inside the Panamera, perhaps the only potential deal breaker, is rearward visibility. The side mirrors are triangular shaped, and don't offer very broad scope. It takes a while to get comfortable with them, especially for drivers who rely heavily on the side mirrors in traffic. The rearview isn't any better. The rear glass may seem large, but its angle makes it more like a slot through the rearview mirror. Peering over the shoulders backing up, the fat rear pillars block large arcs of the surroundings. The obstacle warning helps, but what you'll see is a pictograph of potential obstacles on the dash, rather than the obstacles themselves. The back-up camera is optional and we recommend getting it. It should be standard. It makes backing up safer because it's easier to spot a child and easier because it's easier to spot obstacles. On a practical basis, it makes parking quicker and less stressful. The V6 Panamera has a manual tilt-telescope steering column. Source: NewCarTestDrive.ComSummaryIn short order, the four-door Panamera has become an in-demand addition to Porsche's lineup. The V6-powered base model, new for 2011, delivers satisfying performance with Porsche values and class-leading fuel economy. All Panameras perform well on the street and the track, and all have more than enough passenger and cargo room to qualify as no-compromise luxury sedans. Available all-wheel drive makes the Panamera a viable all-season car for the Snow Belt. We think it's one of the world's best luxury sports sedans. We're able to rationalize the styling. Our Mission: QUALITY !To provide the highest quality restorations of Austin Healey and Jaguar vintage motor cars. Our company specializes in producing cars which are over restored, with the focus on quality in all aspects of the restoration process. Our quality cars are complete, nut and bolt restorations. This car was restored by our shop, completed for spring of 2013 delivery. It was built for a client from the DC area. He enjoyed the car for the past 18 months driving it regularly to winery tours, car shows, weekend touring and vintage car events. Due to limited garage space, and new Porsche coming home he has decided to let his Healey go to a new owner. I am the restorer of the car and handling the sale for the owner. The car will be back in my shop for complete service and a top to bottom detailing prior to the delivery to the new owner. This Austin Healey was the subject of complete ground up, nut and bolt, body off, bare metal restoration, by the Healey Marque specialists, of British Motor Corporation in Philadelphia, PA. Every aspect of the car was restored. The car has perfect lines and received numerous hidden upgrades to make it a superior cars for driving, weekend touring or vintage car events. This car is well sorted and tested, receiving 2900 miles since restoration. This is one of the finest Austin Healey's available anywhere. All cars of our cars are no excuse, investment grade, Heritage Certified, offerings. (The car was completely disassembled and restored, completed 3-2013. The folllowing discription was what was performed in 2013. ) OUR PROCESS: Body: ExcellentBody was completely disassembled, all steel panels sand blasted or stripped to bare metal, alloy shrouds removed and stripped, any rust or deteriorating metal removed and correct replacement panels installed. Any patches installed were properly fitted using a butt welding method. Unlike many restorers, we do not, incorrectly overlap weld our patches unless the panel was installed in a overlap method by the original manufacturer. Body refit with excellent fitment. The result is perfect finish, gaps and presentation. Chassis: ExcellentChassis are stripped to bare metal using copper slag blasting. This method of paint removal insures the complete removal of rust. The chassis are fit into our chassis jig, measured and adjusted back to factory dimensions. All sills and floors panels were replaced with proper replacement panels imported from Austin Healey Spares of England. The chassis is measured again after welding, and body refit to insure nothing shifted during the welding process. Complete bare chassis is cosmetically adjusted and prepared for coating to insure a better than new finished product. The body is removed and re-fit to the chassis no less than six times during chassis restoration to insure proper fitment. This the only way to insure high quality fit and perfect panel gaps! Paint; Excellent Condition: This car is finished in the very attractive, Irish Mist Metallic. This was a color selected by Donald Healey near the end of his tenure with BMC. The color was used on one car as a test. The approval of the this color for production, was overruled by the Senior Management team ( Formerly Triumph Management ) as were most of Donalds suggestions. Donald Healey left the company shortly later. Chassis and body are painted using a high quality urethane base coat clear coat product. The high solid urethane base coat paint is produced by Herbert Standox of Germany. This product is know for exceptional consistency and perfect color match to the original Healey color pallet. It is also known as one of the most expensive automotive paints available today. The high solid urethane clear coat is produced by PPG and is one of the premier show grade finishes available today. The entire chassis, exterior body, interior body and engine bay have received the same high quality base coat clear coat finish. The exterior finish is hand blocked and polished to a glass like finish. The car is straight from all angles. The reflection when looking at all panels are perfect and glass like. Engine: General information! The difference between restoration and a Nut & Bolt Ground up restoration.A complete ground up restoration of a car should include the ground up restoration of the engine. Many old engines that sit without being run for years have a chemical reaction between the piston and the piston rings. The piston rings bond solid to the piston. The typical big Healey has 30 rings in the engine. Piston rings are a very important part of your compression. Their job is to contract and expand during each stroke of the piston. If one piston ring is bonded to one piston in your engine it will no longer expand or contract causing a catastrophic problem soon after the engine is started. The bonded piston will either break off inside your cylinder, not expand and allow the piston to move side to side in the cylinder or simply grind a groove which will destroy the compression in the cylinder affected. It may take a few hundred miles or a thousand mile to destroy the inside of your cylinder, but it will destroy your engine eventually. We perform betwen 20 and 30 ground up restorations per year, and this issue is present on 80% of all old motors we restore for Healey's and Jaguar's. ENGINES: QUALITY! All of our Engines are rebuilt to high standards, with slight modifications to fast BJ8 street standards. The engine are acid washed, shot blasted, line bored, balanced, decked, planed, polished and ported. Our engine's runs smoother than a stock Healey motor and shows no sign of performance upgrades at idle. Engine has been fitted with new pistons, reground and polished crankshaft, new bearings thruout, no lead head conversion, hot street cam upgrade, hot cam lifter modifications, new high capacity oil pump, new alloy oil pan, new timing gear, chain and tensioners, reconditioned Hamonic balancer, new balanced lightened flywheel, new water pump, new oil filter assy, rebuilt and recurved distributor. TRANSMISSION: This car currently has the Healey 5 speed conversion installed. This optional transmission is installed in 90% of our restorations. The original transmission is available with the car. HYDRAULICS: ExcellentHydraulics have been rebuilt or replaced thruout the car. New Master cylinders, new slave cylinder, new hydraulic lines thruout, new wheel cylinders rear, new reservior, rebuilt front calipers using stainless steel piston. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM: ExcellentNew correct Austin Healey Spares replacement wiring harnesses thru-out. Rebuilt generator, rebuilt Lucas starter or new high torque starter, new voltage regulator, new Lucas shut off switch. New lights thruout. New Group 27 battery. COOLING: ExcellentRecorred correct radiator with a upgraded double density core. This increases coolant capacity while looking stock. Upgraded to period correct BMC tropical 6 bladed fan. We have also installed a electronic push fan for additional cooling. New hoses thruout, new water pump, new radiator cap, new overflow hose. CARBS: ExcellentProfessionally rebuilt and polished SU HD8 carbs are installed. FUEL SYSTEM: ExcellentNew fuel tank, new fuel lines, new SU fuel pump, new sending unit. INTERIOR: ExcellentInterior are produced for us by Automat of Long Island, NY. The interior was produced using high quality European leather. The entire seat upholstery, door panel covering, dash top covering, control panel covering, arm rest covering and piping were produced of high grade leathers, vinyls and soft goods to original patterns. The carpeting is a high quality Wilton automotive carpet. The seat bases, foams and seat belts are also new. The interior has been insulated using Koolmat underneath the carpeting. New wood dash from AH Spares of the UK. New glove box liner, original style glove box lock. GAUGESExcellentGauges were rebuilt by Nisonger gauge. WHEELS AND TIRES: ExcellentWheels are produced by Dayton wire wheel in either the 60 or 72 spoke format. Tires are the Vedrestein HR 185 15. TOP AND BOOT: ExcellentTop and top boot are produced of a high grade Mohair product imported from the UK. SUSPENSION: ExcellentSuspensions completely rebuilt with new bushings, new steering shaft and worm gear, new King pins, new tie rod ends. Rear springs were replaced with correct replacement, front spring replaced with old stock coils. All shocks were rebuilt by Worldwide in Wisconsin. Front rotors replaced and balanced, rear drums balanced. New wheel bearings front and rear. New axel seals rear. Rear end reconditioned. GLASS: ExcellentNew front windscreen, new side door windows, original vent window glass. New rubber thruout. TRUNK: ExcellentNew trunk finish kit. New spare tire tie down. CHROME: ExcellentChrome has been replaced or re-plated using a triple plate chroming system. EXHAUST SYSTEM: ExcellentExhaust system was replaced at time of restoration. We opted for the very popular upgraded stainless steel performance exhaust used on virtually all of our restorations. It is a imported product produced by AH Spares of the UK. It is a bit more throaty than the standard exhausts and reduces back pressure to the engine. The original style exhaust could be swapped back at no additional charge, but once you hear this exhaust, its unlikely.

~~ For those of you who follow my auctions, I take pleasure in introducing our new range of "lower priced" Rolls-Royce Silver Shadows. For those who are new to my offerings; we normally present Crewe cars that have been totally refurbished - often with expensive new paint jobs and cars that have been meticulously cosmetically restored to bring them to the highest standards (eg: $40-50,000 Silver Shadows). These new "cheaper" range of Silver Shadows are equally good mechanical, electrical and operational cars that have all been thru the same high level workshop standards of the Park-Ward Motor Museum, carried out by our Rolls-Royce trained craftsmen without compromise. The difference is only minor aesthetic ones. For example, a car may have slight cosmetic flaws in the interior, or the paint or bright work which have not been addressed (as we do on our other cars) to keep the price down (around $30,000), but are still very nice driver quality examples that can be enjoyed and shown with pride. Please enquire as to the specifics and then you, as the buyer, can then decide if you want to rectify these cosmetic aspects at your own leisure. Or, we can do them for you prior to delivery. Or, simply leave them as they are! Please note, in no way are any of the aesthetic items of a gross or major nature and your friends would possibly not even notice them. The car is still wonderful - as the photos clearly show! They are simply items that are considered quite acceptable for driver use and intentionally left to keep the purchase price down. We reiterate, NO compromise is made in the mechanical and operational maintenance and serviceability of our offerings - this is something we will never allow. Please enjoy! ~~ Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow II 1978 A really nice clean original example! Click HERE to see additional photos! A note from RRMOTORSINC: For those Rolls-Royce enthusiasts who have followed my auctions in the past I welcome you all. To this end, I firmly believe in the famous adage; “Quality is remembered long after the price is forgotten.” We hope you do too.” ~~oo00oo~ * PLEASE read auction terms & conditions below BEFORE bidding ** This Rolls-Royce is part of a private collection. Although licensed and bonded, I am not a main-stream retail car dealer or broker; I am a professional car collector of some 30 years with considerable experience and knowledge of Rolls-Royce and Bentley Motor Cars. I have a long standing reputation being associated with the marque which I take seriously. I cannot accept PayPal for the balance. Please note, fitted radio/stereo systems are usually subject to upgrade by purchasers so I do not ensure operation of these. Similarly, cruise control systems fitted to these classics were of an inferior design and I do not check or warrant the operation of these. After all, it is some 42 years old. This is the nature of any classic car and especially a Rolls-Royce which was very "complicated" for its era. Also, you must remember that this is a classic +/-34 year old vehicle, and while it is up to you, I do not recommend that you just “hop in and drive it across the country”until you have familiarised yourself with the car.

I cannot accept PayPal for the balance. Please note, fitted radio/stereo systems are usually subject to upgrade by purchasers so I do not ensure operation of these. Similarly, cruise control systems fitted to these classics were of an inferior design and I do not check or warrant the operation of these. After all, it is some 42 years old. This is the nature of any classic car and especially a Rolls-Royce which was very "complicated" for its era. Also, you must remember that this is a classic +/-34 year old vehicle, and while it is up to you, I do not recommend that you just “hop in and drive it across the country”until you have familiarised yourself with the car.
