In the government’s words… Up to $9,500 toward Purchase Available In an effort to scrap additional older, highly polluting vehicles in the Southland, the South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) has launched a new incentive program to help low- and moderate- income residents purchase newer and cleaner vehicles. Residents may be eligible to receive between $2,500 and $9,500 to purchase a newer, cleaner, more fuel-efficient vehicle depending on their income level, the vehicle model purchased and where they live. Low-income residents living in an environmentally disadvantaged area and purchasing one of the cleanest vehicles available would receive the highest incentive amount. “Our clean air progress relies on increasing the number of cleaner vehicles,” said William A. Burke, Ed.D., chair of the SCAQMD Board. “We hope these incentives will encourage residents to make the switch to lower-emission vehicles.” Replace Your Ride, formally known as the Enhanced Fleet Modernization Program pilot program, will offer residents incentives ranging from $2,500 up to $4,500, depending on income level and type of vehicle purchased. Residents living in disadvantaged communities could be eligible for up to $2,500 for the purchase of a conventional hybrid vehicle or up to an additional $5,000 for the purchase of a plug-in hybrid or zero-emission vehicle that is eight years old or newer when purchased. Disadvantaged communities are defined by the state Air Resources Board as those most burdened by multiple sources of pollution as well as socio-economic factors such as low-income. Residents who choose to scrap their vehicle but not replace it may be eligible for $2,500 to $4,500 in public transit passes or car sharing vouchers depending on their income level. Qualifying participants need to: Meet income requirements shown at www.replaceyourride.com;Live in the South Coast Air Quality Management District, which includes all of Orange County and major portions of Los Angeles, Riverside and San Bernardino County; andOwn a vehicle that meets program requirements. In my simplified words… “If you qualify, the Government Is willing to give you $9500 cash value free and clear towards paying for this car. The catch is that you need to prove: you live in the SCAQMD area of Southern California, income more or less you figure how many people in your household documented on your tax return then average your tax return adjusted gross income. The government has a chart they use to determine if you qualify for the full $9500 or lesser amount. It scales something like: Family of 4 under $100k, Family of 3 under $75k, Family of 2 or couple Under 50k or $25k individual. And you have to turn in a currently registered car, truck, SUV, which will be shredded & Crushed in exchange for the $9500. If the Trade in is a seemingly worthless beater that barely runs and drives you are good. If you have a trade in worth more, then just trade it to me for fair value. Everyone else has to pay full price or call to make the best deal. A lot of people do qualify but just don't know it yet. If that sound like you might qualify than act fast because once that $4.2Million is allocated the program will end or might get modified. We have received funding on 5 or more cars in the past few months and works out that you end up paying roughly 50% of the cost of the car and the government pays the other ½. The trans is a built turbo 350 that shifts perfect and never misses a beat. Ford 9" rear end with drum brakes freshly built no issues at all, The front axle is a 30 Model A, The front Grill is a Model A stuffed with the biggest 3 row Aluminum Radiator I could find and it has a 2400CFM fan that blows hard and keeps everything cool. Nothing gets hot. Coolant hoses all new. Original 1930s glass oil can for a coolant overflow tank. Coolant temp gauge is always 175*. Vega steering box with custom built 3/4 twisted metal steering rods. Chrome SoCal steering dampner, headlights, taillights and brake lights work. Custom built boxed in heavy duty frame. The front and rear has a custom Cantilever airbag set up that raises the car 5" off the ground for plenty of clearance and it lays the entire frame on the ground. The rear is 4 linked. This is currently the lowest Rat Rod in Las Vegas! You can raise the front and rear of the car separate so there are two switches, it has the ability to go front, back side to side but I never hooked up the side to side solenoids. The air tank is built into the frame and the air lines run through the frame too. Lots of original wood still in the interior and the side windows still work after 80 years. New diamond stitched leather seat cushions and seat backings. Brand new white wall Bridgestone tires with new tubes. The fuel tank is a old original WWII bomb that we made into a fuel tank, its pretty trick. The body has been chopped, channeled and sectioned. Lots of work into the body alone, hundreds of hours into this car. Pinstripes by Magoo, over 15 hours of pin striping. Ed Roth Ratfink hand painted by Magoo. Mr Magoo is a very close friend to the Roth family, this is a original and rare piece hand painted on my car. Finished in a white pearl, this handsome car certainly looks expensive in every way and is just a little bit more interesting than the original basic white. Fit and finish are good, but you have to remember that these were hand-built cars, so they aren't going to be perfect no matter how much money you throw at them. The chrome that is on the car is excellent and experts will spot that little scoop on the quarter panel, indicative of factory A/C living within. The bespoke interior is black and white leather that is impeccably tasteful in every way. The upholstery appears to be entirely original and in good condition with normal wear. The instrument panel was influenced by both aircraft and clocks, with wonderfully detailed dials and levers for the HVAC controls, making for a very unique driving experience. A tachometer was standard equipment, more a curiosity than anything else in 1956, and the lovely textured face of the dash still has a bright finish. Power windows, power seats, and power locks were part of the package, and as I mentioned, the factory A/C is a very desirable option. The original AM radio is still in the dash, too! The trunk, even with the A/C system tucked behind the front panel, is truly massive and has been nicely upholstered in black carpet for a luxurious look. The 368 cubic inch V8 was ostensibly the same as those powering With a 4-barrel carburetor and dual exhaust, it's effortless but there's also a lot of mass to move, so while it's not a drag racer, it does have a feeling of inevitability and there are few finer highway cruisers. The engine was rebuilt to stock specs save for an electronic ignition system, and the beautifully ornate valve covers and gold engine enamel signify something special is under the hood. It features a proper air cleaner, a reproduction battery, and those wild exhaust manifolds that dump out through the inner fenders. A 3-speed automatic transmission and 3.07 gears ensure that it's comfortable at any speed and the suspension is so smooth that you hear bumps more than feel them Some minor things to point out... It has a small dent in the rear bumper and a small part of the chrome on the front of the bumper damaged. (See photos) Also a blemish or two in the paint. Nothing major to speak of. Restoration was completed in 2002 with receipts totaling over $170k! As Lincoln had left the 2-door luxury segment to Cadillac and Imperial in 1961 by making the Continental exclusively a 4-door, Lincoln chose to develop its answer to the Cadillac coupe de ville and the imperial crown coupe by introducing a 2-door version of the Continental, the first since 1960. Without any rear doors, the coupe was designed as a hardtop, although no convertible version was introduced. Although bearing a strong resemblance to its predecessor, the 1966 Continental was given exterior sheet metal and the interior was again redesigned, featuring the new options of a tape player and a tilt steering wheel. The Continental grew in size, becoming nearly 5 inches longer, an inch wider and nearly an inch taller. While curved side glass replaced flat glass, its was less severe than in earlier models. They proposed the changes to Pontiac and they didn't return with an answer until later in the year; they were turned down by Pontiac. Therefore, there were only six cars produced. Those six cars were converted to the '99 front ends and used for media purposes only. They were given certain packages; some track-use only and some photography only. This '98 Firehawk is equipped with all the available options offered in '98. It has the LS-1 engine, 6-speed transmission with a factory Auburn posi-traction rear end, factory Hurst shifter, 17" Firehawk wheels, full suspension and 327hp. All original, it has also been signed under the hood by David Hamburger, part of S.L.P. Also included is a multitude of paperwork, commercial cut sheets, SLP documentation, letters from SLP to it's original owner for Firehawk verification, license plate (SLP) frame and the leather Firehawk pouch (includes pen, leather pouch, note pad, etc.). This car was pictured in multiple magazine/books and they are also included with the car. The car is excellent driving condition. New tires. Fresh brakes. LOTS of power. The interior is in excellent condition.- no cracks in dash or the doors, carpet is excellent as well. The exterior is GREAT condition. One flaw on driver side front fender (no idea how that happened and how long it may have been there. Please see location in pictures provided). ADDITIONAL TAXES AND FEES: We do charge a $395.00 documentation fee on each retail sale which includes a temporary tag when applicable, motor vehicle documents and transfers and miscellaneous expenses including clerical fees, notary fees and Federal Express and US mail charges. This documentation fee also includes profit to the dealership. This fee will not be discounted or waived under any circumstance. Buyers are responsible for all state, county and local taxes and fees as well as any registration and title fees applicable in and required by the state in which the buyer will register and title the vehicle. In the event of an out of state sale the buyer is responsible for consulting with their state's DMV regarding the requirements for acquiring a temporary driving permit. Vehicles shipped out of state will not be provided with a drive away permit.
