All the usual tricks are there, plus a few maybe you havent seen before, and its doubly cool simply because none of it was able to be ordered from a catalog like you can with a Ford. Billet grille insert? Make it yourself. Smooth hood? Hand fabricated. Shaved bumpers and smooth running boards? Figure it out. The bright yellow paint practically sizzles off the bodywork, and thanks to shaved handles and a monochromatic look, itll never go out of style. The hand-painted pinstripes spell out Chevy on the sides of the body, just to let onlookers know what theyre seeing, but the overall look is sophisticated and very well integrated. Someone invested an awful lot of time making this car look this good, and they did it the hard way. The completely custom interior is a bright surprise, featuring plum-colored tweed fabric, a deeply sculpted bucket seat, and a billet dash. The plum fabric against the yellow bodywork actually works extremely well, counteracting the dazzling exterior with an upscale and elegant interior that offers all the modern conveniences. A/C, power windows, a tilt column, and a thumping stereo system are all part of the package, and it is all packaged so neatly that it seems almost OEM. An array of VDO gauges were fitted into a custom billet gauge panel in the center of the dash, and glow with soft amber light that somehow looks like the face of a vintage radio from the 30s. Everything remains in like-new condition thanks to meticulous care, and it shows just 2907 miles since it was completed-enough to be sure its fully sorted, but still fresh. This is also one rod where a ZZ4 crate motor is a welcome sight: a Chevy in a Chevy. Judging from the engine bay, someone spent a lot of money on the chassis of this car, and the careful planning and expert workmanship shows in the details. The engine, of course, runs beautifully with a great hot rod rumble from the custom dual exhaust system. Extensively modified, the frame now offers upper and lower control arms up front and traditional leaf springs holding up the 9-inch rear, but youll also notice the cool finned oil pans for both the engine and automatic transmission, as well as the attention to detail that ensured that every component was painted to match the bodywork. Thanks to some careful measuring, it also sits just right with a classic hot rod rake and a set of Weld Pro-Star wheels that truly stuff the big wheelwells. Some builders strive to create cars that offer the flavor of the day while others simply look on from a distance, pick the pieces they truly like, and create one-of-a-kind cars like this 1931 Chevrolet five-window coupe. While it features plenty of modern must-haves like air ride and a Corvette LS6, choices like the unique graphics and custom interior underscore the fact that this bowtie marches to its own beat. The beneficiary of a frame-off restoration, this Chevrolet offers a quality build consisting of only the best parts. If you're looking for a fun, comfortable, and totally unique hot rod to hit the town in, this 5-window is for you! BODYWORK/TRIM To answer the most obvious question yes, it's an original body. Survival rates for these cars are relatively low thanks to GM's "composite body" construction which paired hardwood and steel together under the guise of safety. Thankfully, styling was handled a bit better. This coupe remains in its original proportions but there are a few noteworthy body modifications to mention. For starters, the door handles have been shaved for a cleaner look. The hood has been louvered and the running boards have been smoothed and widened to accommodate the side-exit exhaust. The mostly-stock lines present better than ever thanks to some quality body work and a seriously bright top coat. The base color is an attention-grabbing shade of red topped by custom yellow and orange graphics. The paintwork shows well and ensures this coupe will never get lost in the crowd. Like any good street rod, a closer inspection reveals plenty of interesting details throughout. The front end remains true to stock form with a mirror-like chrome grille topped by a falcon hood ornament. A pair of large round headlights perch atop an arched cross-member while, below, a factory-style chrome bumper shows as new. The split hood is still in place, dressed with some fresh hardware and the aforementioned louvers that grace either side. A visor caps the greenhouse, shading a new windshield matched by new glass all around. Power wipers maintain that windshield while a faux rag top adds some style to the roof. The rear window has also been modified to roll down for some extra ventilation. Aside from the yellow and orange graphics, the profile remains fairly straightforward even the Fisher Body tag is still present. The sloped rear is capped by correct Chevlite taillights which offer space for dual satellite radio antennas. At either side, a two-piece chrome bumper frames the styled fuel tank cover. ENGINE In 1931, Chevrolet had a distinctive edge with their Stovebolt Six. Displacing 194 cubic inches, the engine utilized 5.02:1 compression and a single Carter one-barrel carb to produce 50hp and roughly 120-lbs. ft. of torque significantly more than their 4-cylinder rivals. This '31 retains the upper hand thanks to an LS6 V8 that has been fitted between the frame rails. Based on the beloved LS1, the all-aluminum small block starts with a cast aluminum block filled with a hollow steel cam, cast nodular iron crank, powder metal rods, and other lightweight pieces. It's then topped with aluminum heads, a composite intake, and sophisticated fuel injection which help the modern V8 achieve 405hp and 400-lbs. ft. of torque. At the front of the engine, billet pulleys turn a modern accessory drive which includes a chrome alternator and air conditioning compressor. The firewall has been modified and smoothed for clearance while details like chrome flex hoses, a chrome throttle body, stainless and aluminum brackets, and braided stainless offer worthy surroundings for the LS motor. DRIVETRAIN/SUSPENSION Take a look underneath this coupe to find even more high-end hardware. The foundation is a boxed and painted frame which has been updated with a tubular X-member. All lines are run neatly along the frame rails and look new in every way. In the center, a GM 4-speed automatic transmission spins power back to a Ford 8-inch rear end. Around the drivetrain, the suspension has received all the best modern updates. The front end sports painted tubular A-arms which work in conjunction with a pair of air springs to offer a fully adjustable ride height. The rear end is equally malleable thanks to a painted tubular 4-link and a second set of air springs. The air ride setup is controlled by a digital interface on the dash. All tanks, compressors, and air lines are tucked neatly out of sight. The steering is especially adept thanks to a manual rack-and-pinion unit while four-wheel disc brakes rein in the LS6 with ease. At the corners, a set of 15-inch Boyd Coddington wheels meet the road through fat 215/65R15 and 295/50R15 BFG Radial T/A tires. INTERIOR Pop open the doors to find a luxurious custom leather interior full of modern components. The most obvious starting point is the bright red steel dash which features a full set of sleek digital gauges. To the left of the instrument cluster, controls for the air ride setup stay within easy reach. To the right, a digital interface offers control of the heater and air conditioning system. In-flight entertainment comes courtesy of a Pioneer head unit which sends signal to speakers throughout, including two JL subs mounted in the trunk. Control of the front wheels is offered by a Grant steering wheel which tops a brushed aluminum tilt column. The aluminum is matched by the trim found on the pedals below. Seating for two is provided by attractive bucket seats wrapped in tan leather and divided by a custom console that flows from the dash, terminating beneath the rear window. A B&M shifter extends through the floor, offering authority over that transmission below. At either side, a custom leather headliner matches leather door panels for a cohesive look throughout. Behind the passenger compartment, the sloped decklid conceals more custom leather work matched by tan carpet below. Looking over the spec list, its hard to not be impressed by the sheer amount of cool pieces incorporated into this Chevy. The power of networking is amazing! Market I've been collecting classic cars and trucks for over fifteen years now and have seen a lot happen. I've seen the hobby continue to grow not only at the auctions but also with the amount of television shows, magazines and websites that are related to classic cars in some form or another. I strongly believe the classic car market is a great place to invest in. When the economy is strong, the classic car market is extremely strong. When the economy isn't so strong the classic car market holds its own. I've sold classic cars and trucks in both economic conditions. The reason classic cars make such a great investment is because people are crazy about cars, especially the classics! I've learned it's not just the United States; it’s the entire world. Barrett Jackson stated, "Foreigners can sometimes represent 25% of the registered bidders at one of our auctions." At the Barrett Jackson in Scottsdale, AZ 2011 they stated, "There was a registered bidder from every state in the USA.” I've also learned that no matter the gender or age, all different people appreciate this hobby. Another example would be the Barrett Jackson auto auctions; not only do millions of people watch it live on the Speed Channel but hundreds of thousands of people attend these auctions. Every year the attendance of visitors at the event and number of viewers on T.V. increase. Over the years I've noticed that the extremely detailed classic cars have always commanded a higher price. Even people who don't have any classic car experience can recognize and appreciate attention to detail. Currently the overall market is on the raise once again. Certain classic cars are on the rise and others are on the decline. Typically, the classic cars that are on the rise are the cars that a lot of people don't own. In other words, there are classic cars that haven't saturated the market. The cars that are at every car show and auction and page on the Internet for sale are the ones that aren't changing in value or are slowly on the decline. Of course, if the car is spectacular it will command a higher price as I mentioned. It's all about supply and demand, not a good or bad economy. Custom cars have remained strong because each car is different from the next one. They each have their own character. “I’m putting my money where my mouth is” I’m just a 38 year old blue collar guy who was working full time selling new and used Mercedes Benz. I was selling my classic cars and trucks part time. Although I had my used car dealers license I didn’t have a facility that was open to the public. Overall things were going just fine. However, my dream was to open my own classic car and truck dealership. I decided to give up my full time job with health insurance and a 401K to open a new classic and truck dealership. I had to invest a ton of money to make that happen and now have a lot more overhead. Description2014 Chevrolet Camaro 1SS Coupe MS CLASSIC CARS Inspired! This is an absolutely stunning automobile! Only 1,488 one owner miles! Yes, only 1,488 miles! The Chevrolet Camaro was redesigned for 2014 with many enhancements! This car was purchased from Greenwood’s Hubbard Chevrolet in Hubbard, OH in May of 2014 by a married couple. They're original plan was to enjoy it but after a few months they realized it would spend more time in the garage then on the road so they decided to sell it. I purchased it in late August with 1020 miles and have driven it a few hundred miles. How could I not drive this car? This car is unlike many newer Camaros on the road and gets a ton of attention! The exterior color is beautiful Summit white with black full-length dual Indy stripes. This is a very rare factory $510.00 option. These stripes make the car look mean. They remind me a lot of the Eleanor Mustang stripes. Search the market for 2014 Camaros with this stripe package and you’ll see how little exist! Over the years I’ve enjoyed designing classic vehicles. I wanted to give this car some personal touches so I removed the factory front grill white SS emblem for a smoother look. I also removed the rear deck lid white SS emblem and replaced it with a red SS emblem. I added two red SS emblems on the front fenders under the Camaro emblem. I also added a set of black rear quarter stripes as well. These little upgrades add the extra touch. Both factory white SS emblems are included and can easily be changed back. The rear quarter stripes can also be removed easily! The last thing I did to the car was remove the factory wheels and added a set of 20” Niche Ritz matte black wheels. I then had the wheel lip painted red to match the red emblems which looks amazing. The front wheels are 20x9 and the rear wheels are 20x10. The factory wheel sensors were swapped so there wouldn’t be any issues with the tire pressure monitoring system. I used the new factory Pirelli P Zero tires which are 245/45/ZR20 on the front and 275/40/ZR20 on the rear. This entire ordeal was almost $2000 all said and done! ***The original factory wheels are included with the sale. One of the factory wheels has a slight scuff on the lip from shipping. *** The black interior looks and smells band new. It’s extremely comfortable and has many great features that are listed on the window sticker below! The engine compartment is spotless and is home to the 6.2L V8 with 426 HP. The engine is coupled to a 6-speed manual transmission. The engine sounds great out the factory installed performance exhaust. This car hasn’t even had its first oil change! This is an industry with no real guidelines and everyone's opinion is completely different. The average consumer doesn’t realize classic vehicles weren’t restored at the factory and are being restored by people in their garages. Everyone’s level of restoration experience is different and it shows in the restoration. An example would be a classic vehicle that's being advertised as an original model with matching numbers could be a phony with a reproduction trim tag and re stamped numbers on the engine block, etc. Another example would be a classic vehicle is being advertised as a full restoration when indeed only a few things have been restored. There are many classic vehicles listed for sale that have cosmetic and mechanical issues with such items as the lights, body hinges, gauges, window components, steering components, upholstery, engine leaks and tuning, radiators, transmission, rear end, brake components and suspension components. The consumers are spending thousands of dollars repairing the classic vehicles they've purchased after the sale. At MS CLASSIC CARS I own the entire inventory and take pride in what I sell. You probably haven't seen many like this, and with a great-running small block V8, nicely upgraded interior, and a distinct lack of excess flash, it's a very cool cruiser that will get attention merely by being so tastefully done. It was repainted some years ago in its original code 936 Ermine White, which actually works rather well on the chiseled Chevelle bodywork. It stands proudly next to the Impalas with its more advanced and updated design and the smaller size gives it a more sporting demeanor that the Impala lacks, which is a big plus in our book. It's muscular. Finish quality is decent, with a few touch ups and a few signs of use, and you'll never be afraid of showing it at local events. Better yet, people will be giving you appreciative thumbs-up gestures everywhere you go in this car and guys at shows will come up and remark that they've never seen this body style before. It's also thankfully saved from being yet another fake SS, which gives it an honest look that works quite well. The bumpers are new, the chrome trim and stainless window moldings are in great shape, and both doors shut easily, suggesting a car that's led an easy life. The rest of the stuff is a nice combination of original and replacement pieces that work well together, with nothing standing out as either too fresh or too old. The interior has been given a fairly comprehensive makeover, starting with a pair of late-model bucket seats up front. The original console is still in the middle, making this an interesting car from an options standpoint, and you'll find it's easy to get comfortable behind the wheel. That wheel is a later Chevy piece that should look familiar and the factory gauges have cool stainless faces that are the epitome of early '60s cool. A trio of auxiliary gauges hang under the dash and the shifter is a cool Hurst "his-n-hers" setup that makes this car a lot of fun to drive. There's an AM/FM radio in the dash, so you're not stuck listening to whatever's still playing on AM and the handsome back seat has plenty of room for a few friends. The trunk is outfitted with a correct mat and full-sized spare, and you'll note that the floors are pretty danged clean, too. Borrowed from an early '80s Monte Carlo, the 305 cubic inch V8 under the hood is a nice upgrade from the original 283, offering more power and torque to make this coupe a bit more entertaining. Topped by a 4-barrel Edelbrock carb and fired by an HEI ignition system, it's smooth and powerful, yet easy and inexpensive to maintain. The engine bay is quite tidy, with clean inner fenders and lots of new parts, including the power brake booster and master cylinder, alternator, and chrome valve covers. It's backed by a TH350 3-speed automatic and a 10-bolt rear end, and one glance underneath will demonstrate that even entry-level cars don't need to be rough. There's a recent dual exhaust system with glasspack-style mufflers, plus a new gas tank, so you can hit the road without worries. And classic Rally wheels are always the right choice, with these wrapped in 205/70/15 blackwall radials.
