It is an Arizona native that has been restored, very well cared for and is in a great #2 condition... Verified by the honest photo's that have been taken the day of this listing. Boasting a period correct, rebuilt 283 CID V-8 with a 350 turbo automatic transmission. The engine compartment with new wiring looks like showroom condition, under the hood as well. New motor mounts, inner fenders, detailed firewall. Aluminum radiator with a thermostatically controlled electric fan (Can be over ridden with a switch) and shroud. Drives respectfully at 180* within our dry climate. New front wind shield, trim and rear glass, mirrors as well. New chrome front bumper and side trim. The frame and under carriage are in very nice clean condition, with no issues. Tires and wheels are like new. New red oak wood bed with stainless trim. Selling a 1955 Chevrolet Cameo Pickup model 3124. Has the original Straight 235 CI 6 cylinder motor and 4 speed Hydra-Matic transmission. This is a project truck for the person wanting to build a classy pickup. Chassis has NOT been modified. Interior all original. Cameo is missing taillights, and tail gate hardware. The molding that goes on top of the bed sides is missing as well. Rust in passenger floor, passenger front fender and the lower driver and passenger corner of cab.The only window not broken or missing is the passenger side door window. This california truck had been restored in the 80s and it had the same owner for 20 years before it sat in a museum in indiana were i purchased it from the owner. The cameo has the 283 v8 with the 3 on the tree with the overdrive which is a hoot to drive.{I do believe this is the original drivetrain} but as any 50 year old truck you cant be 100% certain.This cameo has all of its fancy badging and moldings and factory fiberglass bed in place so there is no part hunting. it has the cushion-ride poly tires with the factory trim rings and dog dish hubcaps that are in nice shape.The interior is in good condtion and doesnt really need much attention.
