2001 Chevrolet Lumina Highway miles are the best for automobiles! You have to see it to appreciate how well this car has been kept. I have pulled the CARFAX and have it available for review if interested! Recommended This vehicle is in excellent condition inside and out... It has been well taken care of by my mechanic(Me). I had this car washed several times a week at Bob & Kay's in Kalamazoo. I have service records indicating I had the oil and filter changes almost monthly due to driving for business. I use 5w-30 Mobile 5000 with Lucas Oil Stabilizer in every change. This is a car that spent most of its years in the south where salt is not used on the roads. Transmission fluid has been changed w/Dextron III 2 times since I purchase it with nearly 200,000 miles on it. I even added a drain plug to the trans pan for easy fluid drain and filling. I almost hate to sell it because it is in such great shape but, I have to many cars now and I said I would shed a few cars this year. This car now sits more than it gets used and it will make someone a awesome replacement/upgrade or a smooth riding car for daily commuting.. And if there's one driver who's tied to success in the Lumina, it's Dale Earnhardt Sr. Dale. He used some of his NASCAR winnings and business savvy to purchase a Chevy dealership in Newton, North Carolina, and renamed it after himself. Since he owned the place, securing licensing rights for special edition cars like, say, a Dale Earnhardt Edition Lumina Z34 like the one you see here, was a snap. This car and 24 others just like it were all that were built in 1992, and this one's covered just over 6,000 original miles. It's a time capsule, and it comes with a few extras. The dealership ordered 25 identical Lumina Z34 coupes, all black with a maroon interior. Their deep air dams, ground effects, louvered hoods, unique grilles and rear spoilers set them apart from base coupes, and they were pretty forward looking cars for their time. For the tribute package, 13 of the 25 came as you see this car, with plenty of Dale attitude without looking cartoonish. The remaining 12 cars went full Childress Racing with every decal that you'd find at Talladega...you can imagine the stares you'd get driving one of those on your weekly errands. Condition wise the paint is in great shape, the glass is excellent and the lights and lenses look like they were installed last week. The interior is stock Chevy aside from the unique headrests embroidered with Earnhardt's signature and a dash plaque proclaiming that this car is #8 out of 25. The Lumina replaced the much-loved Monte Carlo and was more comfortable and better-appointed than the car it replaced. Plush velour runs door to door and acres of soft touch vinyl dominate your forward view. Both of those fine features just mentioned didn't hold up very well under normal use, but this interior is as well-preserved as its 6600 mile odometer reading would suggest. This car was bought new as a collector's piece and it shows. Under the hood is a really clean 3.4 liter, four cam V6 making 200 horsepower. That's 60 more than the standard 3.1 liter motor it was based on, and its 24-valve configuration made it a high revving and smooth powerplant. Presentation here is as nice as the rest of the car with clear fluid reservoirs, detailed plastics and clean aluminum. While it's not exactly a 700 horsepower Cup engine it's only about 45 horsepower short of what you got if you bought a Z/28 with the top option 350 instead. Underneath, GM's W bodies rotted out if you looked at them sideways, so this car's clean chassis also confirms the low mileage. Luminas got four wheel disc brakes and fully independent suspensions, so they're nice riding and driving cars. Excellent original cast aluminum wheels are surrounded by new Goodyear Eagle GT tires in the stock 225/60/16 size. You also get a fully embroidered jacket and hat along with a cardboard Dale stand-up. There's a ridiculously cool car cover just like the race cars used with the full sponsorship and identification decals printed right on. Most importantly you get paperwork including the original window sticker, as well as the original owner's manual with Dale's autograph. It's a cool starter kit or some great pieces for any Earnhardt fan! A cool car with NASCAR appeal, as-new looks, and neat memorabilia. This is a highly desirable and rare 1972 Chevy C-10 stepside short box truck. It's nicely restored, with a very nice base coat/clear coat paint, brand new oak bed, and a strong 350 CID V8 (later model engine, appears to be a 1992 with an Edelbrock intake and carb setup) and smooth shifting automatic transmission. I bought the truck in Palm Springs, California this winter, and spent the winter enjoying driving it all around the desert. It was a super daily-driver for my winter "snow bird" cruising. Everywhere you go with this truck, people react with a smile and a wave. It cruises smooth and straight down the road. It shifts smooth, power steering and brakes work great. This Chevy required very little sorting on my part, which is a bit unusual with collector cars. I replaced a valve cover gasket, and a few little details here and there, along with adding a new water pump (the day before loading it on the auto transport semi, the water pump seal failed and leaked coolant, so I had my mechanic in California install a brand new water pump). Drives and rides like a much newer truck - very fun to cruise in, with a whole lot of power and performance on tap. The new turbo mufflers give it a throaty growl. Check out the brightwork on this truck, its in excellent shape - much of the trim, bumpers, etc. seems to have been replaced with aftermarket trim. Very nice! Like this truck? Make an offer ! This is a highly desirable and rare 1972 Chevy C-10 stepside short box truck. It's nicely restored, with a very nice base coat/clear coat paint, brand new oak bed, and a strong 350 CID V8 (later model engine, appears to be a 1992 with an Edelbrock intake and carb setup) and smooth shifting automatic transmission. I bought the truck in Palm Springs, California this winter, and spent the winter enjoying driving it all around the desert. It was a super daily-driver for my winter "snow bird" cruising. Everywhere you go with this truck, people react with a smile and a wave. It cruises smooth and straight down the road. It shifts smooth, power steering and brakes work great. This Chevy required very little sorting on my part, which is a bit unusual with collector cars. I replaced a valve cover gasket, and a few little details here and there, along with adding a new water pump (the day before loading it on the auto transport semi, the water pump seal failed and leaked coolant, so I had my mechanic in California install a brand new water pump). Drives and rides like a much newer truck - very fun to cruise in, with a whole lot of power and performance on tap. The new turbo mufflers give it a throaty growl. Check out the brightwork on this truck, its in excellent shape - much of the trim, bumpers, etc. seems to have been replaced with aftermarket trim. Very nice!
