Vin # 1363718115127. The exterior of the car is in beautiful overall condition. This car has absolutely no rust, no rot and it is in show condition. The car is finished in a beautiful Crystal Red Metallic base coat/clear coat (GM paint code WA505Q). The paint is deep and shines like a new penny! The car has a sharp looking black vinyl top, all the trim and both of the bumpers are in excellent condition and shine bright. All of the exterior emblems are new. It has an extremely aggressive looking vintage stance. You just don’t find this aggressive stance and originality in a lot of muscle cars of this vintage! The interior, exterior, engine compartment and trunk of the car are in beautiful condition. When sitting in the car it is extremely comfortable and still feels and looks like a new car. The floors, doors, quarters, hood, trunk lid and the entire body are completely the original sheet metal. All of the body panels are completely solid and original, no rust, no rot, freshly painted and in great condition. The 307 SBC V8 engine, Turbo 350 automatic transmission and 2:56 ratio rear end are all original, tight and in excellent working order. The engine is strong and powerful. The automatic transmission shifts smoothly and the rear end gears are great for cruising and are in great condition. The Chevelle has an aftermarket Edelbrock 650 CFM 4-barrel carburetor and an aftermarket Edelbrock intake manifold with 14' air cleaner. The Chevelle retains its original exhaust manifolds, which are complimented by an aggressive sounding custom dual 3" exhaust. This is truly an awesome Chevrolet Chevelle!! *Again all original sheet metal. Absolutely no patches rust or rot whatsoever!!! The car retains its original interior, which is in excellent shape. The front and rear seats, headliner, dash, dash pad, door panels, and interior trim are in impeccable condition. No rips, tears, burns or stains. The carpet and rear package tray are new and are in spotless condition. I purchased this car as a project vehicle. The car needed a paint job and detailing at the time. My father and I restore classic vehicles as hobby and took on this car as a project. When we purchased the Chevelle it was painted the car's original color Copper Metallic. The car had no body damage, rust or rot issues, however the paint job was dated and the car need to be freshened up. We decided to finish the car in the fresh and very appealing GM Crystal Red Metallic base coat/clear coat (GM paint code WA505Q). The original Copper Metallic exterior color, along with the brown interior, brown vinyl bench seat, 307 SBC V8 and Turbo 350 automatic transmission can be evidenced by the Chevelle’s cowl tag specs. The car has extremely smooth body lines; a ton of time was put into the paint job with incredible extreme attention to detail!!!! The car retains its original, reliable and powerful Chevy 307 V8 SBC Small Block Chevy engine. The engine is mated to its original, strong and smooth shifting turbo 350 transmission. Prior owner's title documents this is original mileage. Again both the engine and transmission have only 29,000 original miles!!! The rear end is also original to the car and has 2:56 highway gears. The gear oil has been recently changed; the gears were visually inspected and are in great condition. The rear end has a custom chrome cover. The car retains its original style drum brakes all the way around. All of the brake pads were recently changed and are in excellent shape. The car's exhaust system compliments the engine well with a deep, throaty muscle car sound. The car sounds super aggressive coming down the road! No leaks! The car is as straight as a nail. This car runs, drives, shifts, stops and sounds excellent!!!! All of the lights and guages work properly. The doors, trunk lid and hood all open and close smoothly without issue. It is truly a solid dependable original Chevelle show car! The following are all new components we installed: HEI, spark plugs, wire set, wire looms, valve covers, air cleaner, chrome transmission pan, complete custom 3" dual exhaust system, front brake shoes, rear brake shoes, rear brake shoes, battery, exterior mirrors, stainless steel exhaust tips, wiper blades, custom painted alternator, Alpine AM/FM CD stereo, Boston speakers, custom Chevy wood grain steering wheel, carpet, exterior emblems, staggered setup 15"x8" Cragar SS wheels in front with BF Goodrich Radial T/A P235/65R15 tires, and 15"x8.5" Cragar SS wheels in rear with BF Goodrich Radial T/A P255/65R15 tires. This Chevelle is the real deal! A true head turner with plenty of muscle! The car is currently registered and insured in Rhode Island. This is a 44 year old car; it is not a brand new car. The car is immaculate but with any vehicle of its age does have a few very minor blemishes that can only be found after close inspection. Rhode Island does not issue titles for classic vehicles of this age, the car will be sold with a copy of the current registration as well as a bill of sale which is sufficient for registration in most states. Please read on if you are serious… This is an extremely nice car. Straight, solid, and completely restored by a professional shop 1 year ago. This car is gorgeous and drives incredibly well, it corners and handles like a much newer car. NO play in the steering, NO bump steer, NO bad manners at all. It is wonderful to drive and it really moves and has that 4th gear so it cruises comfortably down the highway. This was MY car and I love it but changes in my life have me contemplating selling it.... The car runs excellent and needs nothing. It is very quick and incredibly smooth with a professional header dual exhaust with a crossover pipe that sounds incredible, not real loud but just the right amount of loud. Everything works and the paint on this car is superb and originally cost $10,000. In my experience, pictures lie about paint. In the case of this car, they do lie because this car actually looks better in person than it does in the photos. The car is truly stunning in person, people gawk and stare. The car is a custom dark grey with big metal flake so it has a very unique look - not another Chevelle out there painted this color. In very bright sunlight it looks gold to silver, almost like one of those Chameleon paints. It is truly stunning and photos and even videos do not capture it.Everything was restored, brand new engine and transmission, the brakes, suspension, interior - literally everything, no expense spared. This car does not leak fluids and is extremely user friendly and easy to own. There are a few small bits that could be better like some of the chrome is a "9" and not a "10" but this car is show ready and I would drive it anywhere. This car has been driven very little since the build. I have a building full of muscle cars so this car is in rotation with 6 other regular drivers and a few others and this car is way too nice to drive unless the weather is PERFECT so it sits a lot. Except for a few TINY touched up chips that you have to have your nose almost touching the car to find the paint is perfect. Again, the final blocking and paint cost over $10,000 so consider that when looking at a Chevelle that “needs paint”. Quality paint is incredibly expensive today. The underside of this car is spectacular – see the photos in the skyypilot.use.com page. Incredibly clean and nicely painted. Original floors and trunk are rust free. Frame is perfect. The car shows no signs of ever being hit of having panels replaced. No issues at all.The glass is excellent. All windows roll up and down properly. The car runs and drives perfectly. It has power steering and power brakes. The car tracks straight down the road. The wheels are NOT new and have some areas where the chrome is lifting. The tires are nice but not new. For reasons unknown, they went all new on the rest of the car but went cheap on the wheels. ALL OF THE PHOTOS AND THE VIDEO WERE TAKEN RECENTLY. Nothing has changed. I guarantee it. Be sure to ask this question when looking at other cars on here. Here is a list of WHAT WORKS on the car: Headlights (high and low beams); aftermarket radio; brake lights, parking lights, turn signals, gauges except speedometer, gauge lighting, parking brake, heater/defroster/vent. Here is a list of what I know about that needs fixing: Speedometer has not been hooked up; wipers energize but do not sweep; The horn does not work. That’s it. The car is ready to drive across the nation today. It stops and steers wonderfully. It draws more attention than Kim Kardashian in a thong (you have that in your cell phone too don't you?). It will win the “dead grass” award at any car show on turf – you may not be able to see the car for the crowd around it. This car will not disappoint even the pickiest person. You really do feel like Superman when you drive this car…. You are at least an instant movie star.... PAPERWORK: I have clean, clear, and blank Louisiana title for this car. Signed with nothing else filled out. I have also registered it in my name in Connecticut but Connecticut does NOT issue titles for pre 1981 cars so I never transferred the other title. Either way, you will have what you need for your state. INSPECTION: I do not have time for tire kickers, chat pals or lookey-loos but I will gladly show anyone the car BEFORE they bid or make an offer. I would prefer it if at all possible. Any inspection BEFORE an offer is welcome. VALUE: This car is well worth what I am asking – I have priced it to sell quickly and at a loss to me. This is one of the most popular muscle cars of all time and it might be the nicest example available for sale this year. Again, it cost over $30k to build this car and would cost even more today to build. I am not greedy – I am just trying to get back most of what I paid for it. I am not poor – at all - so please don’t waste my time with lowball offers. Warning: Be very wary of the eBay hot-rod mills like Classic Car Liquidators and Smoky Mountain Traders as their cars are built quickly and are often painted in Mexico with cheap Synthetic Enamel paint jobs that last about 6 months. Many, many cars sold on eBay today are built very quickly and with very shoddy build quality by people who sell cars to make a living. This car I am selling is in a whole different category than most cars on eBay because it WAS NOT built to profit anyone. It was built with love and with no mind to costs. You may save a few grand buying from the big guy but you will regret it. Ask me how I know..... COST TO OWN: Classic car ownership is very cheap. Here in Connecticut, fixed costs per year are $40 for early American plates; around $20 for taxes ($500 tax assessment is MANDATORY); and Hagerty Classic Auto Insurance is around $120 a year for FULL coverage. So for about $200 (about $0.60 a day!) you can enjoy driving this gorgeous car! Classic cars are a great investment. According to Knight Frank's Wealth Report, collectible cars were the top-performing collectible asset with prices surging 23-percent in the 12-months ending in the third quarter of 2012, and posting gains of 395-percent over 10-years. Google it if you don't believe me. FOR INTERNATIONAL BUYERS: The car is located about 100 miles from New York and New Jersey shipping ports. I would estimate it would cost around $500 to get the car down there. You will have to handle the broker and pay for everything of course. I recently shipped a Corvette to Australia and it went very well. Domestic shipping: I recommend Montway for long hauls and Uship for short hauls. If you are on the route between CT and Dallas Texas I have a friend (Fernando) who makes a regular route and he can get the car to you cheap. Below I will go through all the good and the bad. Also please see the pictures for details as well. Car has been inspected and road tested. All things good and bad as found are as follows: 1 ignition key 1 key fob Instrument panel fully illuminates and functions Sunvisors, headliner, dash, center console, cupholders, door panels all apear to be in good condition please see pictures. The power windows go up and down. The power door locks are functional except drivers door The power mirrors are not working. The key fob functions The trunk release is operational The drivers seat is worn and has a burn hole. The foam in the bolster is flattened. There are no major rips or tears in the seat. The rest of the seats are in good condition All the seat belts latch and function The Steering wheel has a cover but appears to be in good condition. The tilt wheel and horn work. The wipers and Washers are functional All the heat controls work on all settings and the heat does blow hot and the AC does blow cold. The AM/FM stereo with CD is operational and functional. We have found the speaker in the drivers door is not working, all others are ok. All the interior lights work The glove box opens and closes and contains the owners manual. The cig ligher is working. The trunks opens and closes and also contains a functional trunk light, as well as the spare tire and tools. Headlights, tail, brake, signals, reverse, license.....etc... all lights work. There is an occasional clicking that comes from the hazard relay, no lights are flashing it just clicks for no apparent reason. All glass is good with no cracks. All the oils and fluids are good and clean. No signs of any leaks. No loose wires, cracked hoses or belts. The engine starts right up and idles smoothly The acceleration is great and the transmission shifts smoothly through all of its gears just as it should. There are no noticable noises from suspension or bearings. The exhaust is quiet. There are no abnormal shakes or vibrations The vehicle brakes straight and the alignment is good. The cruise control is operational. Please see pictures for cosmetic issues. Drivers side rear door at the lower rear corner of that door has been touched up. Just behind both rear doors at the bottom there is some rust. This is the only rust on the car. There are minor chips and scratches on the car as to be expected. The drivers carpet area has some staining as you can see in the photos. It is basicaly around the perimiter of the floor mat. For the price of the car I think the condition should well exceed anyones expectations. Its a very solid and sound car. Would be great for someone going to college, or to be used as a daily driver. The wipers and Washers are functional All the heat controls work on all settings and the heat does blow hot and the AC does blow cold. The AM/FM stereo with CD is operational and functional. We have found the speaker in the drivers door is not working, all others are ok. All the interior lights work The glove box opens and closes and contains the owners manual. The cig ligher is working. The trunks opens and closes and also contains a functional trunk light, as well as the spare tire and tools. Headlights, tail, brake, signals, reverse, license.....etc... all lights work. There is an occasional clicking that comes from the hazard relay, no lights are flashing it just clicks for no apparent reason. All glass is good with no cracks. All the oils and fluids are good and clean. No signs of any leaks. No loose wires, cracked hoses or belts. The engine starts right up and idles smoothly The acceleration is great and the transmission shifts smoothly through all of its gears just as it should. There are no noticable noises from suspension or bearings. The exhaust is quiet. There are no abnormal shakes or vibrations The vehicle brakes straight and the alignment is good. The cruise control is operational. Please see pictures for cosmetic issues. Drivers side rear door at the lower rear corner of that door has been touched up. Just behind both rear doors at the bottom there is some rust. This is the only rust on the car. There are minor chips and scratches on the car as to be expected. The drivers carpet area has some staining as you can see in the photos. It is basicaly around the perimiter of the floor mat. For the price of the car I think the condition should well exceed anyones expectations. Its a very solid and sound car. Would be great for someone going to college, or to be used as a daily driver.
