Well, they lied, and now we have 1984 and 85 Eldorado Convertibles, BUT....the earlier cars are the most desired and collectable, and have the largest V8 engine ever produced for a passenger car...the 500 Cubic inch that you see here!. Caddy lovers everywhere get weak in the knees when one like this becomes available. A long term collector owned, always garaged Eldo Convertible that was apparently treated like one of the family! Examples like this one are unheard of! Most have over 200 Thousand miles by now, and are still going strong. This one came out of a private collection in North Carolina, and has never been exposed to the rust demon! The fellow who owned this Gorgeous Cadillac had several others to keep it company. It was driven regularly, and always properly maintained. It was treated to one respray, including fresh bumper fillers all around. As you will notice in the photos below, the interior was completely replaced with new. Yes, of course it is leather, and yes it does look as good in person as it does in the photos!!! The paint is also gorgeous with a small scratch on the hood that was brush touched at one time. No pits or damage to any of the chrome. A fabulous Eldo that is sure to please the lucky new owner!!! I had the pleasure of spending the entire day with this Gorgeous Caddy Convertible. We drove two Veterans in the Export Memorial Day parade this morning, and that was quite enjoyable. It runs and drives just as you would expect a Cadillac to drive....Nice and smooth with no shakes or rattles. AM/FM 8 Track sounds great, and all windows and power convertible top work too! It has been extremely dependable with no issues noted. Starts easily every time, and is amazing to drive!!! Greetings to All!! imotors is quite pleased to offer this Gorgeous 1968 Camaro RS/SS Coupe. This car belongs to a very long time lady friends husband who has recently passed away. She has asked me to help sell his cars. She knows what she has, as to reasonable values. Low ball offers will be ignored. We ALL know what it's worth! Look at it as a rare opportunity to own a car that was NEVER to be sold!!! This was one of Chuck's fav's!! One of the few that were basically road ready and useable. As I can't ask for any info, I will do the best that I can to describe it, based on what I see. I recommend personal, or at least professional inspections BEFORE auctions end! The cowl/firewall tag is MISSING!!! I don't know where it is, so purchase without it! As there is no cowl/data tag, I can't say for sure what it is. It has the Rally Sport lighting, including working hideaway headlights, so one could "assume" that is is a true RS(I know, it could have been made up). It also has an "SS" Fuel cap, and "SS" emblems on the hood, and grille. You all can decide what it is!! It is currently sporting an "LS" 6.0 Liter engine. From what I can see by internet research(I cannot find a block casting number anywhere), it is a "Gen III" LQ4 with 713 aluminum heads and a cast iron block. It has a 5 speed manual gearbox. There are aftermarket disc brakes on the 10 bolt rear end. It has sub frame connectors, and traction bars. I would assume that it has had new panels installed, such as floors, wheel houses, quarters etc. There is painted over seam sealer on the quarter panel seams, and in the rain gutters, indicating replacement/repair?
