Up for consideration is my very original and beautiful 1973 Buick Riviera. 1973 marked the last year for the iconic boat tail design for the 1971, 1972, and 1973 Rivieras. The 1973 model year was also the most luxurious rendition, with a plusher ride and very beautifully upholstered interiors. This car was built in Flint Michigan and was a one owner car in Green Bay WI for most of its life. I am the second owner. This Riviera is triple burgundy with its original and gorgeous Oxblood burgundy interior. It has done 96,250 miles as of this writing and looks just about brand new inside and out. The body is straight and rust-free and the paint still shines beautifully. The interior can’t really be any better than it is. It is all original and just beautiful, showing virtually no wear anywhere. The vinyl has a deep shine to it and even the original shag carpet is clean and wear-free. It has all four original Buick logo floor mats as well. The drivetrain is all original, never rebuilt, and is mechanically sound. It has the original 455 V8 with the original Quadrajet 4-barrel carburetor. Since I've owned the car, I've installed various new parts to ensure the vehicle is reliable and roadworthy. I love driving classics and any car I own just gets better the longer I own it. All photos are of actual vehicle for sale.. 1953 was the first year the Corvette was produced, it is the original "Classic Corvette". It debuted at the 1953 GM Motorama at the Waldorf Astoria in New York City. It was outfitted with a 6 cylinder "Blue-Flame" engine that produced 150 hp mated to a two-speed Powerglide automatic transmission. All 300 Corvettes that were produced in 1953 came with the same options and they were all painted "Polo White" with a red interior. Also included on all 1953's were whitewall tires and two-spinner hub caps. They also did not have outside door handles. To get in the car you must reach inside to open the door. 301 1953 Corvettes were built in Flint, Michigan at a temporary facility in the rear of Chevrolet's customer delivery garage on Van Slyke Ave. The first production 1953 Corvette was built on June 30, 1953. Because of the short production run the 1953 model it is the rarest of all Corvettes. After the first 301 were assembled, production moved to the new St. Loius factory. Zora Arus-Duntov joined Chevrolet this year, he would eventually become the Chief Engineer for Corvette. Utilizing only NOS and refurbished original parts, that meticulous reboot was topped with correct Mulsanne Blue 2-stage, accented with a white hood side stripe and capped with fresh white vinyl. Once that finish was allotted sufficient drying time, its surfaces were sanded and buffed into a ripple-free glow that's virtually as smooth as glass. And today, this top dog Chevy rolls as a spectacular piece of iconic American muscle that's detailed to better-than-new standards. ENGINE Tilt the car's hood and you'll find an original, 350 cubic inch LT-1 V8 that hangs a correct 3970010 casting number behind a correct "CGZ" assembly stamp and matching partial VIN. At the top of the Chevy Orange mill, a correct Holley carburetor rides between a polished and decaled air cleaner and bright, stainless fluid lines.
