GOOD LUCK AND HAPPY BIDDING! 2005 Jaguar XKR VIN - SAJDA41B353A44199 Supercharged 4.2L V8 Engine 6 Speed Automatic Transmission Full power options Navigation 43,969 Miles 2 Owner Car This is a car that belongs to one of my classics car clients that has health issues that prevent her from driving so her beautiful XKR is available for someone to enjoy. The car was purchased from a dealer as a lease return and it was the special ocassion car, always garaged and serviced by the book. I have read that these are the best Jaguar's built and 2005 was the new design year.The car has most options other than the 20" wheels. The only flaws are 2 tiny door scuffs on the right quarter and on on the left, the right wheels have a little curb rub and the lower part of the front bumper has some scrapes from her driveway. The paint is all original from what I observed and has never been in any accidents while in her possession. The interior looks good, I saw only light wear on the seats and no scuffs on the door panels or anywhere else inside. The spare tire has never been used and the tires have plenty of tread for a summer of enjoyment. The car is really clean underneath and chassis is immaculate, we don't have harsh weather here so no corrosion of any kind. All books and manuals as well as 2 sets of keys. A color you don't see often and it will keep you cooler in the summer.There is a Buy-It-Now, it was arrived upon by many factors and is fair for both parties. If you want to make an offer I will contact her as she has the final say. I welcome inspections, the car is located in Hanford, CA (about 45 min from me) and can be viewed by appointment. The owner of the car can't drive so trades are of no interest. The winning bidder will receive a California title, clear of any liens with the car. GOOD LUCK AND HAPPY BIDDING! 1937 Pontiac 5 Window Coupe Street Rod Original 8 Series Coupe 350 V8 Engine 700R4 Automatic Transmission Full Jaguar Suspension Power Rack & Pinion Steering 4 Wheel Disc Brakes Air Conditioned Bucket Seats (Power Driver) Tilt Steering Power Windows Digital Gauges This car is one of 300 37 Pontiac 8 cyl coupes built and was in CA it's whole life so it started as a real clean slate to build. The car has been built from the frame up, the attention to details was job one in how things were plumbed and assembled. He was actually disappointed that you can't see detail of the frame with the body on. The car still needs to be finished but I think one can see that all the hard & expensive stuff is completed. The car does run and drive currently. He has the firewall plate, Fisher body tag, a 1951 CA license plate that was on the car and a 1947 dated title. The body is very straight, the paint is a dark blue metallic 2 stage urethane and just needs a final polish. There are a couple of small flaws but they're hardly noticeable. The door handles have been shaved as well as the trunk handle. The doors have custom painted power mirrors. The firewall was smoothed and brake master located on frame. The hood trim and grill were sanded and painted as the owner's preference. The front and rear were setup to not have bumpers, the rear valance has been reshaped with billet tail lights, license plate notch and notched for exhaust tips. There was also a spot cut out below the rear window for a 3rd brake light for safety. The doors have power window regulators installed and of course the latches. He has all the window trim for the car. There is no glass, it's all flat glass so any good auto glass shop can cut it, you can have it made tinted if you like. The headlight parts got misplaced so you'll need the hardware and there is a company that makes a conversion to 7" sealed beam. The interior is still in raw form, it allows you to finish to your taste. The dash has been reworked to fit a nice wood panel and a set of Dakota Digital gauges. It has a 70's GM tilt column with column shifter and key switch. The area behind the seats has a custom cabinet to separate the trunk and also give a nice place for the fuse panel and engine computer. Of course it has a trunk mounted battery as you can see. The roof has been lined with Dyno-Mat so far. The wiring is mostly done, just needs the interior electrical finished. The Vintage Air w/ heat has the firewall plate installed but it needs to be plumbed and the interior parts installed, the kit is included with the car. The engine and transmission are fresh rebuilds with no more than 20 miles on them. The engine is an 88 Chevy 350 w/ throttle body fuel injection and the transmission is a 700R4 automatic with 1 wire electronic lockup. The engine has an aluminum intake and valve covers, ceramic coated headers and billet air cleaner. The front and rear suspension is 1988 Jaguar XJ8, the original frame was reworked and boxed to make it more rigid. It has a large Walker radiator with temp controlled electric fan. The fuel tank was custom made with fuel pump, return line and pressure type cap and you can see in the pictures it has a custom filler location in the trunk. The brakes are 4 wheel disc, the brake booster and master are on the frame to keep the firewall clean. It rides on stock Jaguar wheels currently. I think the pictures and my description will give a pretty good idea of what this car is, I'm sure I didn't list everything because there is so much. A lot of money and time was invested to get it this far and the owner of the car knows he won't see the over $30K + time invested. He also has a whole bunch of pictures, from the time he got thru most of the build.There is a Buy-It-Now, you can also make an offer and I'll present any fair offers to him. Seats show very little wear as do the carpets with the original floor mats still in the car. The paint definitely shows its age and looks much better in the pictures. There are some scratches and and spidering in the paint which is expected in 46 year old car. Interior still presents very well with no rips or tears. Car has been recently serviced with all new hoses, belts, suspension bushings and recently serviced AC that blows ice cold. Newer Radial Redlines with very few miles. The car was recently judged for the first time at the NCRS Spring Judging Meet in Fresno on April 25th/26th and received NCRS Second Flight Award and is only .5 points away from Top Flight Status. This car is ready to enjoy, and has been in a collection of British sports cars since 2008, when purchased in California's dry central valley with approximately 50k miles. Just as happy at a show & shine, a curvy mountain road, or coastal road trip, this TR-6 awaits its next owner to enjoy, as it has been for the past several years. Pre-purchase inspections are welcome (by appointment). It is currently registered, with a clear CA title. Smog exempt in CA. Located in Visalia, CA approximately 1 hour south of Fresno, CA. Additional pictures will be added to the photobucket album, if potential buyers request a specific view. Mechanical: This is a very well-maintained & upgraded 62k mile car. Under the hood you will find the original 2.5L 6 cylinder engine. Shortly after purchase (at approximately 50k miles), an Eaton model M62 roots type supercharger was installed, fed by a single 2” HD-8 SU carburetor (see link to YouTube video below). The supercharger provides 5-7 PSI boost, and completely transforms the driving experience. During the supercharger install, the cylinder head was rebuilt, ported & polished, and a “stage 1 supercharged” profile camshaft was installed. Factory ignition upgraded with a Pertronix kit. The exhaust now consists of a split exhaust header, feeding into dual exhaust with an “X” pipe & dual turbo mufflers, providing a very enjoyable soundtrack with the top down. In this configuration, the engine produces 143 HP at the rear wheels on a dyno (stock RWHP was 75 HP+/-). All factory engine components are available, and included if desired, if buyer wants to return engine to original. Transmission is the factory 4-speed (non-overdrive) unit. Clutch, shifter, and sychro’s all perform well—as they should given the low mileage and care the car has received. Rear end is the stock (non-limited slip) unit. Suspension has been upgraded with urethane bushings at all four corners. Ride height has been lowered approximately 1” with new, slightly stiffer springs. Matching the lowered stance are Koni front shocks & Armstrong rear shocks with stiffer valving. Rear trailing arms have had the correct camber set for the lowered stance. No “squat”, as is often the case with a lowered TR-6. Original wheels are wrapped in Michelin 205/70R-15 tires with excellent tread remaining, but are 7 years old. With the upgraded performance, handling & excellent driver feel, this TR-6 is truly a joy to drive with tight steering and good brakes. Exterior: Originally painted code #92 “Magenta”, it was repainted code #82 “Carmine Red” by previous owner. Jambs & trunk were also repainted in Carmine Red at that time, but the engine bay retains the factory finish as shown in pictures. While not a “show car”, the paint, trim, and chrome show very well and require no attention to show off & enjoy. Other than the typical battery tray replacement, there has been no rust repair performed, and none needed. No evidence of previous body damage or repair. This TR-6 is as dry underneath as you’ll find, and benefits from a garaged, central California existence. Weather stripping is in good condition, as is glass. In addition to the very nice, recent soft convertible top is a rare, factory steel hardtop (painted to match body). Hardtop is in nice shape overall, with a couple of scratches & a one crease (see pictures), but the headliner needs to be replaced. Hard top is a very hard item to locate. With the help of a friend, the TR-6 can easily be transformed into a sports coupe (please don’t ask me to sell top separately). Pictures show the hardtop just sitting on top of the TR-6, not fastened to the body. Interior: Inside, you are greeted by a very nice original (black) interior. Seats are in excellent condition, save for a small (repairable) tear on the bottom of driver’s seat. Very nice carpets, dash pad, etc. Rosewood dash is in beautiful shape, with fully functional factory instruments. Aftermarket “Moto-lite” steering wheel currently installed, but original is included with sale. Original (functional) British Leyland AM/FM stereo. All factory lights work properly. Trunk area is original, and in very nice condition. Matching Michelin 205/70R-15, a jack, a fitted car cover & a tool kit are included with sale. Overall: This is a very well cared for 1973 TR-6. Approximately 14k miles have been added since 2008, driving all over California, from the Lake Tahoe area, to the Big Sur coastline, to Southern California and it’s infamous LA area traffic (see YouTube video links below). If the term “reliable” can be used in the same sentence as “British” and “sports car”, the experience of owning this TR-6 has been just that.
