Below that carburetor, a familiar 3885069 Winters intake funnels a perfect air/fuel mixture in to correct 3873858 high performance heads. When the juice hits the cylinders, a reliable 1111093 distributor sparks fresh, stainless-sleeved wires while a stock rotating assembly pushes spent gases through correct 3856301 and 02 exhaust manifolds. Cooling for that fire is provided by a beefy GM radiator, which hangs in front of a correct 1100696 alternator. And overall, this Chevy's tidy engine compartment is exceptionally well done; framing items like a correct water neck, a correct starter and correct transistorized ignition in clean, Satin Black fenders. Just came out of long term storage. Has some rust on the surface but Very straight & solid including undercarriage with original floors, torsions and pick up points. Doors open and close easily. The interior is very nice on this car, see pics for details. I have not tried to start it but the engine turns over manually by hand, has rebuilt heads, new crank, missing some engine compartment tins, and has Solex 40 p11's. Has 4 speed trans. Also have a stack of receipts for this car including complete exhaust that needs to be installed(comes with car). German camshaft, new rings, new crank and more on receipts. The lady whom i purchased this vehicle from had owned the car from 1965. She was the second owner for the last 50 years. She lived in California and attended many SCCA events at Laguna Seca and other racetracks around the US not to race but as a spectator for the love of the sport. The repaint, motor rebuild and interior was done within 9 years ago and the car was parked 2 years ago due to her health problems. Thousands have been spent with a folder of receipts and Porsche companion books on this car as she was a true Porsche Enthusiast who loved this vehicle. This car starts on a dime, drives like it came from the factory and revs hard all the way through the power band courtesy of the rebuilt motor with webers. The suspension is rock solid and steering feel is very direct as it should feel. Chassis is very tight and has factory like undercoating was applied when it was repainted so there is no rust. Battery tray, floors and chassis is Solid. It does have a few scratches from being a driver as this is not a garage queen but if you want perfection I would think you would paint the car back to its original color which I have included in the pictures to show how truly amazing it is.
