Very unique Dodge Furniture Delivery Van with 51,850 original miles. You won't find another like it. This truck is stock and rust free. Just like it was in 1958! I believe that the box is older than the cab & chassis. Back in the '50s it was common to put a new cab and chassis on an existing box. Runs and drives excellent. I used it myself for several moves. In the pictures you will see bows and a removable tarpaulin top that is sun damaged but goes with the truck for a pattern. When I purchased the truck it had a canvas cover that was worn out. I contacted the company that made it and they me made me a new one. You certainly can use the truck without the cover. It actually looks better and is more fun without it. Tires and wheels are in excellent condition with not more than a few hundred miles on them. Original 6 cylinder engine runs great! . If interested, the buyer may have an extra higher gear ratio rear end and a 58 Dodge Hemi V8 motor that is disassembled, cleaned and ready to be rebuilt, and a 5 speed manual transmission. I had the original radiator re-cored a few years ago; I can’t remember if it’s a 3 or 4 core, it’s the largest that could fit in the factory tank. I have owned the truck for the last 15 years and have always kept it indoors, but it hasn’t been driven much in the last few years. When I pulled it out of storage recently I made sure all the maintenance was up to date: · New tires, warranty paperwork · New fan clutch · Carburetor rebuild · Oil/filter change · Door weather stripping · New rear transmission seal · Transmission fluid and filter change · Greased all window regulators · Fuel filter replaced · New wiper bushings · New Master cylinder · NOS Glove box door This is a very original, rust free truck. Although the floor of the Cab has had a patch repair over the original floor, and there was light bubbling just starting under the rear window on the outside that was repaired. The Cab has recently been painted, from the doors up. The bed is in near mint condition. It is original paint in above average condition inside and out. Carpet has been installed on the floor and walls of the bed to protect it and is secured with Velcro for easy removal. It is covered with a button secured Tonneau cover (no modifications were necessary to secure the Tonneau cover i.e. no holes etc.). The truck has been kept in as close as possible to survivor condition, with only 1 cab repaint and some minor detail work. It even has the original build sheet under the hood in readable condition. I have the original shocks that came off of the truck and the valve cover with the factory emissions sticker. The weak points: · Tail gate chrome has 2 small dents · Grill is showing wear with a few dings/dents · Some exhaust work is needed · Mopar above cab lights are showing deterioration o Closest light to drivers side has a piece missing · Carpet is showing fading · Bench seat has 2 repairable holes that were caused by my chain wallet · Steering wheel has a small crack in the horn button but the grain is in nice, original condition · Hood has holes where a non-original Ram hood ornament was removed from. I left the holes so one could be re-installed if preferred Overall this rare factory 400 C.I. short bed is in very nice, near -but better than -survivor condition. It runs and drives great- drive it anywhere with confidence. Starts on the first try every time. It will make a great daily driver or weekend show truck. I have more pictures available upon request. From what the previous owner told me it was restored somewhere in 2010 and has been mostly used for shows. The car drives really nice and lots of Horsepower. Paint is in really good condition. The trunk, doors, hood are all nicely aligned. Transmission shifts real good. The Six-Pack carburetors are all nicely sync together. Mileage shows 54,xxx miles and since it has been restored on title it is mark has exempt.
