I bought two cars from a collector with the intention of bringing them to California but I recently sold my building where I was storing my classics so I have to get rid of a few of my cars. These cars were Show Room Kept and they have California Titles. They were originally from a collector from California. This Dodge is located in a Copart facility in Davison, MI. I have a clear California title that will be mailed to the buyer. These pictures were taken about 3 months ago. PRICED TO SELL !!! Here is the description I have from the previous owner: "This rare restored classic is in remarkable condition....not only looks good, but starts right up, shifts and runs like the wind. Upon close inspection, one cannot find any flaws... everything operates as it should... 1969 Dodge Coronet. 58,250 original miles / original famous slant 6 engine. (mileage subject to change due to me driving the car on a nice sunny weekend) Post Car with pop out rear windows (With the exception of the super bee I have not come across another Coronet that has this - not sure how many of them still exist or how rare of an option this may or may not be?) . I also have the original broadcast sheet (see pic) The rubber floor covering is still in great shape The paint is the original paint which is now faded and has some patina. The floors. trunk, underneath the car are all in great shape. Very little rust as you can see in the pictures. The car not only looks great but it runs and drives great too. This car was built to be driven, and it does it very well.The 360 V8 has lots of power, and runs perfectly. Recently updated with an Hei distributor and MSD plug wires. Fuel pump is also new, along with a new water-pump. Also upgraded with a one wire, 130 amp alternator, and a Lokar kick down cable kit for the 904 transmission. Also recently installed a deep sump aluminum pan on the transmission.The 8.25 rear axle also recently received a set of axle bearings and seals, and was serviced with new fluid. A brand new set of Eagle 15" wheels were just installed, along with brand new tires. This car was originally built back in the 90's. At that time the front suspension was updated with a Volare setup. Now sporting torsion bars, and disc brakes. This was a very professionally done conversion, and you can tell by how nice the car drives down the road. At that time the car also received power steering and power brakes. The steering column was also updated with a tilt model and column shifter. Vintage air conditioning/heating was also installed, along with cruise control. The exterior received some very tasteful modifications including frenched headlights, custom fuel door, some chrome trim deleted, and a flip down license plate. The paint on the car is showing its age as the clear coat is starting to fail. The body is excellent. Only a couple of small chips. The interior is dated but over all is very nice. The front seat on the passenger side is starting to split. The door panels are in great condition, and the headliner is perfect. All of the chrome trim is present and in great condition. These post war cars are getting harder and harder to find in this condition. You usually find them pretty well crushed in junk yards or out in an old farm field rusting in to the earth with a tree growing up where the motor used to be. Rest assured that this car is not a rust bucket and runs very well. These cars are just cool. There is no other way to say it. All of the chrome and the shape of the fenders, and the roof line look very aerodynamic for the day. This car is as straight as they come. It is a survivor that is showing some of it's age, but still presents very well. The interior of this car is as cool as the outside. What you see on the seats are covers, but as you will see in the video rest assured that the original seats underneath are in unbelievably great shape for a 67 year old car. All of the wood looks fantastic and all of the chrome presents very well also. This is just a beautiful piece of dash to look at. As you look through this very spacious interior, you are going to see that the headliner is in great shape as well. Your sun visors are mounted outside the windshield via the large sun visor mounted to the car itself. Things were different back in the day. All you need to do is turn the key and hit the starter button on the left side of the steering wheel and listen to this baby come to life. That's just what it does, it comes to life. This 230 Cu In straight 6 cylinder motor fires right up and just purrs like a kitten. Like you would really expect anything less. If this was a loud motor, you would think that something was wrong. This motor is mounted to a 3 speed transmission otherwise known as a 3 on the tree. You will see the name fluid drive on the rear bumper as well as the dash. Most people would equate this term with an automatic, and this is a manual. What Dodge did from 1941 to 1954 is put a hydraulic coupling in place of the flywheel. Even though this part would act like a modern torque converter for the automatics they did put 3 and 4 speed transmissions behind it as well. Now that you got a little history lesson on Dodge fluid drive, we can tell you that this clutch is right and tight and everything shifts smooth as silk just like it should. As you look at the under carriage of this time piece you are going to see that you are not going to eat a 4 course meal off of it, but for what it is, it is very clean.
