Putting up for sale is a “rare” 1979 Jeep Cherokee Wide Track “Golden Eagle” edition project car. I have been restoring this Jeep since 2003, work here and there and got it to where she needs to be for a car show but, she still needs some TLC as far as the Paint and Interior go. Body is is RUST FREE condition, only one ding in driver door but body is great shape. This jeep was originally from North Carolina so never exposed to salt/snow slugged we have here in MD/WV. This is a ONE of a kind Cherokee in this condition and the picture can speak for themselves but, I have included what she comes with- Jeep was rebuilt for show purposes only, originally had 107,866 on original odometer, and has only 405 miles on new rebuilt 5.9 liter V8 with some tweaks here and there bringing her to over 400 HP. Edlebrock Intake- is a performance series, sounds greatEdlebrock 4 barrel 9000 series carb (from bjs Full Size Jeep) with air spacer, 4 barrel sounds awesome.Edlebrock value covers and engine dress up kit, stainless steel bolts.Engine was rebuilt on 10/10/2012 along with transmission (Turbo 400) and transfer case has been rebuilt, all new houses and lines. BODYWORK/TRIM After World War II, GM rolled out its Advance Design pickups nearly a full year ahead of its revised passenger cars. Why? Well, most agree that, because truck production continued throughout the war, the General's body dies were getting worn and needed replaced. It's a simple answer, and the kind of thinking you'd probably expect behind such a wonderfully uncomplicated machine. Naturally, this 3100's appeal begins on the outside where all-steel lines, memorable enough to inspire the Chevy HHR and SSR, are coated in a fantastic layer of Burgundy 2-stage. That paint, detailed with a Charcoal pinstripe, presents well from any angle, remaining a true testament to rock-solid bodywork that was conducted during the truck's no-holds-barred restoration. And everything adds up to one crisp and clean classic that's been finished to 100% show worthy standards! One of the best attributes of Advance Design pickups is their straightforward ornamentation. Not decorated to the hilt like most '40s and '50s cars, these blue-collar runabouts illustrate how solid design can remain fresh almost 70 years after it was introduced. At the front of this Chevy, a show-quality grille rides between a fresh chrome bumper, clean halogen headlights and a correctly trimmed hood. Behind that hood, a stainless-trimmed windshield leads a smoked greenhouse that's framed in bright, stainless wipers and a small driver's mirror. Beneath that mirror, a polished and bowtie-branded fuel filler floats amid stylized door handles and painted running boards. Between those boards, a spectacular Oak bed is detailed with stainless skid strips and bowtie-branded rail plugs. And beneath those plugs, a "CHEVROLET" branded tailgate reflects sleeved chains, polished tail lamps, a second chrome bumper and polished exhaust pipes. ENGINE Peer in to the truck's body-matched engine bay and you'll find a 216 cubic inch Thriftmaster 6-cylinder that was professionally rebuilt by Greeley Automotive Machine of Greeley, Colorado. Introduced for use in large platforms, and regarded as one of the all-time great Chevrolet powerplants, this "LBA" branded mill is a favorite among vintage GM truck buyers because of its simple design, adequate power and excellent durability. At the top of the block, painted Weber carburetors mix wind, supplied by satin-finish air cleaners, with fuel that's piped through braided lines and high quality XRP fittings. Those carbs ride on a clean Fenton intake, which floats above cast Fenton exhaust manifolds. Opposite those manifolds, a fresh distributor, which sequences fire between MSD Heli-Core Solid Suppression wires and a polished, 12-volt alternator, twists on a tough Comp camshaft. A beefy radiator provides cooling with the help of a large pusher fan and polished cap. And items like a Delco-Remy starter, a silver, "Chevrolet" branded valve cover and a polished oil cap ensure the bright blue powerplant is very impressive to look at. DRIVETRAIN/SUSPENSION Crawling under this classy bowtie reveals body-matched floors and a powder-coated frame that have never seen the slightest hint of inclement weather. Power meets the pavement through a traditional Muncie 3-speed, which is tied to a 10-bolt, highway-friendly rear end. Correct leaf springs and big drum brakes occupy all four corners of the chassis, mixing rugged road prowess with firm and solid stops. A polished, dual-pipe exhaust system, which is wired to a polished Patrick's muffler, runs the entire length of the truck. Everything rolls on chrome steel wheels, which turn 245/60R15 Goodyear Eagle STs around "CHEVROLET" branded hubcaps. And details like a silver oil pan, stainless fluid lines, a fresh brake booster, a silver flywheel cover and an Optima gel cell battery round out an impressive restoration. Has modified intake which has been custom painted to match the exterior of the car. The transmission is a 6 speed automatic with tipronic shifters on the steering wheel. Transmission shifts nice and smooth with no hard shifts or slipping. Brakes are in good shape with 50% pad remaining all around and Brembo brake calipers. Tires are goodyear Eagle F1, fronts have about 20% remaining and rears about 15%. Wheels do have a bit of corrosion in the bottom of the spoke area (see video above). Frame is clean. Please note, the DMV made a mistake on the mileage printed on the title and it was written down as 190,000 miles instead of 90k miles. In the '80s and '90s, offerings like AMC's Eagle essentially birthed the crossovers we currently know and love. A solid, Golden Commando 395-powered survivor, this 6-passenger Plymouth is a highly desirable rarity that affords one lucky MoPar enthusiast the ultimate opportunity to own an underappreciated classic. If you're looking for some of the coolest, most exclusive and most unique metal your money can buy, here's a lot of car for not a lot of money! Loosely based on designer Virgil Exner's 1957 styling theme, which proclaimed "Suddenly its 1960!", this '61 Suburban debuted to mostly negative fanfare. Nonetheless, that didn't stop the car's Wyoming-based owner from proudly protecting his investment. And, 53 years later, that dedication paid off as this Plymouth rolls as an exceptionally solid survivor. Decked in all too appropriate Robin Egg Blue and Alpine White, the car appears to have always been adult pampered. Its classy, curvaceous body reflects a smooth finish that exhibits minimal signs of wear and no major defects. Its original bumpers and straight stainless trim look almost as good as the day they left the showroom. And, despite what some might call awkward proportions and excessive brightwork, this graceful classic is both striking and handsome! Top of the line for Exner-era wagons, this first class Plymouth features substantial detailing. At the front of the car, a dramatic valance centers a massive, gold-trimmed grille between stainless eyebrows, heavy headlights and an exaggerated bumper. At the sides of that valance, 'knife edge' fenders flow into jet-age quarters behind polished flashings, flush-mount door handles and small stainless rocker guards. Officially known as the Golden Commando 395, that original "R36" mill wears a roster of correct components, from its bright gold air cleaner and much ballyhooed alternator all the way to its heavy duty radiator and Jiffy Jet washer reservoir. Fire is provided by a traditional points distributor, which sequences sparks through reliable CARQUEST suppression cables. Combustion comes courtesy of a Carter 4-barrel carburetor, which breathes through a correct intake and old school exhaust manifolds. The motor's clean aluminum valve covers present well against the car's Robin Egg engine bay. And little details like original decals, a pair of Sparton horns and a MoPar green cap battery round out a nice dose of eyeball appeal. Naturally, the bottom of this boulevard king looks as expected for a 53 year old survivor. In the middle of solid floors, an original heavy duty 3-speed sends power to a correct 8.75-inch rear end. At the front of those floors, wide turns and firm feel come courtesy of correct manual steering. At the edges of those floors, solid, fade-free stops are provided by sturdy drum brakes. The big V8 barks a deep, civilized demeanor through a true-dual exhaust system that employs small, glasspack-style mufflers. All that road-worthy hardware rides on tough Cragar Radirs, which spin 215/75R15 Coker Classic whitewalls in front of 225/70R15 BF Goodrich whitewalls. And everything, from the car's clean oil pan to its leak-free fuel tank, is functional, reliable and ready to roll! Inside this Plymouth, you'll find a mostly original interior that has enough room to haul the whole family in comfort. HISTORY/BODY It's no secret that Chevrolet is an automotive division founded by, and named after, a prominent racecar driver. To celebrate the rampant success of the brand's NASCAR teams, GM decided to produce limited edition Monte Carlos that honored fans' favorite drivers. Without a doubt, Dale Earnhardt, a man whose name is virtually synonymous with the word Chevrolet, was one of the fans' most respected icons. The Intimidator project was initiated in 1998, when Earnhardt debuted the Intimidator Concept at the North American International Auto Show to preview NASCAR's influence on the sixth generation Monte Carlo. The first production Intimidator was essentially a run of 3,333 stripe-and-decal packages made available on the just adequate 2002 Monte Carlo SS. Then in 2004, when GM finally decided to gift the car their much-lauded supercharged V6, production ramped for 4,000 much-improved Intimidators. In addition to the hotter engine, now officially dubbed the Monte Carlo Supercharged SS, the car received an upgraded interior, an enhanced suspension and unique aesthetics. Naturally, a lot of Black paint was in order. NASCAR-style ground effects perfectly complemented a NASCAR-style deck spoiler. Red Chevrolet bowties joined red and silver "Intimidator SS" badging that could be found on the car's decklid and, in typical Monte Carlo fashion, just in front of the rear tires. And bright exhaust tips looked good trailing chrome, diamond-cut wheels. Logging only 6,522 miles over the course of 12 years, this particular 2004 Intimidator SS remains in great condition. And, aside from the car's "Intimidator" windshield banner and requisite Dale Earnhardt Chevrolet dealer decal, it rolls just as it left the showroom. DRIVETRAIN As you've probably gleaned, the sixth generation Monte Carlo was factory-equipped with GM's beefy 3800 Series II V6. And when customers checked the box for a top-option Supercharged SS, the car came equipped with a proven Eaton blower. Internally dubbed the L67, this relatively light engine is a highly reliable piece that has an excellent reputation for strong internals and impressive power. Behind the growling mill, a proven GM 4T65E-HD 4-speed makes excellent use of big displacement torque. That drivetrain rides on a wide MacPherson Strut performance suspension, which mixes standard traction control with a 10mm-reduced ride height. Stops are provided by large, power-assisted discs, which benefit from standard ABS technology. Exhaust rolls to bright stainless tips via stainless, factory-spec pipes. Power flows through diamond-cut, Intimidator-spec blades, which twist 235/55R17 Goodyear Eagle RS-As around familiar red bowties. And overall, this Chevy is an absolute delight to drive, serving as a high-water mark for the large, comfortable coupe niche that has all but disappeared. INTERIOR This sculpted Monte's sporty leather interior begins with Earnhardt-branded seats that feature 6-way power adjustment for the car's driver. In front of those seats, an Intimidator-branded dash hangs an optional 200-watt sound system between dual-zone climate control and trademark, Earnhardt-branded instrumentation. At the center of that dash, a narrow console founds a monochromatic shifter on clean carpet, color-keyed floor mats and brash Intimidator sills. Above those sills, simple door panels frame power windows, power door locks and power mirrors. A tilting, leather-wrapped steering wheel keeps cruise control and audio selection at the driver's fingertips. And a cavernous trunk continues the car's roomy theme. Nice set of orignial chrome wheels look excellent and you can tell the car has been garaged all it's life. The interior is very clean as well. Non smoker vehicle and in good condition. Driver side power seats works excellent in all directions. Seats are both in good shape with no rips or tears and foam in good condition. Dash surface in good shape with no cracks or issues, carpeting in excellent shape with no holes or wear marks and factory floor mats in good shape. Bose stereo sounds excellent and climate control works great, AC blows cold and heater warm. All plastic buttons and switch surface areas are in good shape. Steering wheel leather looks very good as well as factory shift knob and boot. Visors both in good shape as well as headliner. No warning lights and all TPMS sensors work good. Mechanically, the drivetrain is in excellent shape. Engine runs smooth and quiet and the transmission shifts on point with no slips or hard shifts. I had this car fully safety inspected and a few things serviced on reccomendation including new oil pan gasket which is not a cheap job. The rest of the car is dry and leak free. This is a California car and has no rust or corrosion underneath. Brakes all in good shape with well over 50% all around. Tires up front are near new Kuhmo Ecsta Sport, rear tires are Goodyear Eagle F1's with over 35% remaining. The car steers excellent and drives straight around town and on the freeway. ABS brake system works excellent, no warning lights or issues. No other check engine lights either, really runs and drives well (see video). Bose stereo sounds excellent and climate control works great, AC blows cold and heater warm. All plastic buttons and switch surface areas are in good shape. Steering wheel leather looks very good as well as factory shift knob and boot. Visors both in good shape as well as headliner. No warning lights and all TPMS sensors work good. Mechanically, the drivetrain is in excellent shape. Engine runs smooth and quiet and the transmission shifts on point with no slips or hard shifts. I had this car fully safety inspected and a few things serviced on reccomendation including new oil pan gasket which is not a cheap job. The rest of the car is dry and leak free. This is a California car and has no rust or corrosion underneath. Brakes all in good shape with well over 50% all around. Tires up front are near new Kuhmo Ecsta Sport, rear tires are Goodyear Eagle F1's with over 35% remaining. The car steers excellent and drives straight around town and on the freeway. After the inspection is complete, they call me with the results. I then either do the repairs and put the vehicle up for auction, or if the problems are too numerous, and it looks like she's going to be a problem vehicle, I liquidate the vehicle at a local auction. My repairs average about $400.00 per unit. Please understand that we are not in the vehicle restoration business. I don't replace every teeny tiny part that is not brand new.
